My husband and I got married at the Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota this past November and we could not have picked a better photographer than Richard Harrell Photography. I fell in love with an image of his I saw on Pinterest and was shocked to see he did not have more reviews on here - why you ask? Because he does not need it to keep his books filled. His company mainly works on personal referrals ad his images speak louder than reviews on social media sites. The booking process with both Heather and Richard was seamless - we were living in at Alaska during the planning process and they both went out of their way numerous times to accommodate our 4 hour time zone difference. The engagement shoot was a lot of fun and gave us a good understanding of how things would work on wedding day. Images came back super quick and beautiful - my husband and I can be a bit awkward and Heather totally made us look like naturals (somehow haha). On the day of the wedding both Richard and Heather showed up early and immediately started working the Crosley with such professionalism - they have shot there numerous times before which was evident in their gorgeous images, but also took the time to take in all the details as if there for the first time. We tried to do most of our photos prior to the ceremony (ie first look, etc..) and it certainly can be a long process, but Richard made it extremely light hearted and easy. I think everyone in our bridal party fell in love with him - he was making everyone laugh and feel special at the same time. Our wedding planner had not worked with him before, but states she would like to make him one of her go to photographers now due to how amazing he was to work with. Richard not only captured all the traditional photos of the wedding party/ceremony/families, but also added some fun with artistic shots as well. He captured ceremony pictures through some of the ornate windows, aerial photos, as well as in the ship lap room which came out super neat! This allowed us to really capture the beauty and character of our venue. His energy during the day was boundless. On a character note two major things stood out - 1) He let my big old German Shepherd come take pictures with us before the wedding and he was SO good with my goofy, loud dog. Clearly a good person if my dog likes him! 2) He stayed after the wedding was over and helped my parents/family load their cars with all of the decor we brought. He did not have to do that nor did we pay him to - he is just a really great person. Lastly, we got our images back a few weeks ago and they are spectacular. They are more than we hoped for and he truly captured they essence of the day. Overall we would absolutely highly recommend Richard Harrell and his company to anyone looking for a photographer in the Tampa/Sarasota area, but he also travels too...one of my bridesmaids from Portland swears she is hiring him for her wedding when she gets married! :)

One of the best decisions we made was going with RHP! We had to up our photography budget by a bit but in the end it was beyond worth it! We can't quit looking through the photos. They're all just amazing! They captured exactly what I was looking for which was everyone's joy and emotions on that day. The beauty and "feels" in each photo is just priceless. They were great to work with on the day of the wedding and listened to what we wanted but also provided great advice and feedback. They suggested a last minute switch on the uplighting and it made a huge diffference in how all of our photos looked and the overall ambiance. To capture photos of the people you love the most laughing, smiling and looking amazing is probably the best gift we'll have. Thank you!!

My husband and I decided to go with Richard Harrell and his wife as our photographers for our wedding and we are so happy we did. What won us over with them was how creative they are and we loved the lighting that they are able to use to make the photos even more beautiful. The lighting they use is perfect if you are doing an outdoor wedding. We did an engagement session with them just to get an idea on how they work and what to expect for our wedding day. Our engagement photos came out wonderfully that it was hard for me to choose which ones I would want to have prints of later on. I loved having both Richard and his wife for our wedding day because Richard was able to go and take pictures of the guys getting ready while his wife stayed with me and took pictures as I was getting ready. They work amazingly as a team and I can tell they are always knowing what the other wants or is looking for while taking a photo. I wish I was able to do videography with them as well but that was not in my budget but if you are looking for some who can do that, you found the guy! He showed me a sample of his videography work and it was gorgeous. My husband and I talked to 3 different photographers and Richard won hands down. The pictures he took at our wedding still take my breath away. I can't believe the amount of talent both he and his wife have. Its amazing how they are able to capture a moment that you will cherish forever. I will definitely be using Richard in the future for more photo opportunities as they arise. For the work he does and how he and his wife go out of their way to get that photo you will love is worth every penny.

I LOVED working with Richard and Heather for our wedding!! They were such an awesome couple and I'm truly thankful that I found them to be our wedding photographers. My husband and I are both active duty military stationed out of state- they were so helpful and accommodating with our schedule and the times that we had available to meet with them when we came to Orlando for wedding planning. They are both so personable and above all, FUN! We had such a good time during our engagement shoot and during our wedding. I felt totally comfortable with them and they are both so talented! The pictures were amazing and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone else getting married! They were wonderful!!

There are no words to explain how amazing Richard and Heather are! I developed Bell's Palsy about a year and a half before my husband and I got engaged...the entire right side of my face was paralyzed. While most of the paralysis cleared up over 18 months, I still have residual effects which are most noticeable when I smile. I had always been pretty photogenic and NEVER camera shy before...but, I avoided cameras like the plague between the onset of the Bell's Palsy and our engagement session. I was SO terrified of having to take photos that I would have to look at forever with my "Joker Face". After meeting with Richard and Heather and explaining my fears, I immediately felt at ease. They worked with us during our Engagement session to find our comfort zone, they guided us, posed us, and literally laid in the middle of the street in Downtown Tampa to get some of the most beautiful photos we have ever seen. I couldn't believe that I looked NORMAL! BETTER than normal! The day of the wedding, our photographers captured every second perfectly from the morning until the reception ended. And, there was never a minute that we ever felt awkward or uncomfortable...in fact, half the time, we didn't even realize they were there capturing some of our most precious moments. And, AGAIN, the photos were beyond our wildest expectations. I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with Richard and Heather. We were so blessed to have them as our photographers, and wouldn't change a thing!

Richard and Heather Harrell were recommended to my husband and me by our Best Man and his wife. After seeing their wedding photos, we knew we had to contact Richard and Heather right away!! The photos were stunning and so incredibly well put together! Heather did our engagement photos a few months ago, and was absolutely amazing at helping us learn our poses and how to take professional pictures (neither my husband nor I had prof. pics taken previously). She was an absolute blast to work with, and made sure that the session went smoothly and efficiently. We couldn't wait to work with her again on the big day! Heather and Richard work together as a team, but unfortunately Richard couldn't make it to our wedding; Scott, another photographer alongside them, joined in and helped Heather on our wedding day. They were efficient together, professional, knowledgeable, and just plain FUN. They allowed us to be us while getting what they needed and being aware of what we wanted out of our photos. I absolutely loved working with this couple. My (now) husband and I debated over what to do. The price point was a little higher than what we wanted to spend, but after much debate and voting among friends Richard was the winner for our day. We did not regret spending the extra money and I am willing to bet you won't regret it either. Richard and Heather do amazing work! Not only that, but everyone at our wedding was raving about how charismatic, hard working and professional they were on the wedding day. Of course, everyone loved our photos. Richard and Heather totally served dual purposes as not only our photographers, but also our coordinators in helping us keep on schedule. They were phenomonal! They even taught us a dance on our wedding day (Heather joined in to teach us, the ignorant couple). They go above and beyond, are professional, and give great quality memories to last a lifetime. I give them my highest recommendation.

Richard and his team were hands down, amazing! They were timely, proffessional and committed. They had quite a few challenges when it came to my venue (sunlight, timing etc) but they pulled through seamlessly, giving us beautiful wedding pictures. I heard comments from my guest such as; "wow, those photographer are everywhere, they aren't going to miss a thing!" Our wedding pictures were very important to us and we wanted photographers who didn't miss anything- that's exactly what we got! Richard, Heather and Scott were top notch and captured our memories perfectly! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a proffessional photographer; who creats amazing images, knows exactly what he is doing and is great with guests and the clients alike! We couldn't have asked for more from our wedding photographers!

Richard and Heather are absolute God-sent photographers. They were so helpful and accomodating from the very first day we met with Richard. I knew from our first meeting with Richard that we couldn't choose anyone else to work with. He answered every absolutely ridiculous question we had and was patient during our 2hr+ initial consultation. I am very uncomfortable having pictures taken of me but Richard was so funny half the time I didn't realize he was taking pictures. When the pictures arrived they surely amazed everyone who saw them. On our wedding day as I'm sure is expected I was running behind but Heather and Richard rolled with the punches and captured amazing photos without making me feel rushed. Heather even helped bustle my wedding dress when my mom and maid of honor were having trouble. They helped us find other vendors and were willing to help in anything wedding related even if it had nothing to do with photography. I can't think of any other photographers I would reccommend this highly outside of this team and I look forward to having them capture all of my family photos for years to come.

I was nervous about finding a photographer when I first started looking. My husband and I got married at the Florida Aquarium and I was worried about flashes and reflections showing up in the glass. After searching all over Tampa, I came across Richard Harrell Photography. They met with us and discussed our needs and wants, to make sure they were the right ones for the job. After decided to use them, they were there for us throughout the whole wedding planning process. Any time I had a question about anything (not just photography related), I could go to them for answers and help. The photos turned out BEAUTIFULLY. I could not have been happier. We got everything we expected and more. Not only is their work amazing, but they are the sweetest people you will ever meet. This was by far, one of our best choices we made for the wedding!! I would rate them a 10 if I could!!

WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL!!! I honestly cannot say enough about Richard and Heather. They are very professional, have an extremely artistic eyes, such incredible talent, and are so personable! My husband and I recently got married 8/12/11 and used them to photograph our wedding (as well as had an engagement photo shoot prior to the wedding). They focused on every aspect of the wedding - and didn't miss a single opportunity for a fantastic photograph. I really respected the fact that when we would give suggestions for different photos shots, they would take that idea and capture it in the perfect way! My husband and I loved the fact that they captured the spontaneous moments, as well as posed us for formal pictures (we definitely needed the pointers lol). They are passionate at what they do and it really shows in their pictures. Our albums have only been posted for a few days and we have already had guests from our wedding telling us that they want to use Richard Harrell Photography as their wedding photographers... they really ARE that good. We were so impressed with every aspect of our wedding, but having the right photographer allows us to enjoy those memories over and over again. We are so excited for our next photoshoot with Richard (on the beach this time!) for our post-wedding, can't get enough pictures, shoot! :) Thank you guys so much, again. See yall soon!!

There aren't enough words to describe the love and gratitute I feel towards Richard Harrell Photography. I was fortunate to find them through Wedding Wire while looking up photographers and Heather Harrell contacted me immediately. They worked with my budget and I was able to receive two photographers with unlimited photos from the pre-ceremony up until the end of the reception. My package also included an engagement session, several prints and a photo book. It was such a great value that it was too good to pass up. Richard and Heather were able to capture our love for one another and our personalities in every photo. Our engagement photos were taken in the streets of Ybor City and my wedding took place on Clearwater Beach at St. Brendan's Catholic Church and my reception was at the Hilton on Clearwater Beach. We also took some photos of the wedding party at Sand Key Beach and they were there every step of the way. My husband and I felt comfortable taking pictures with them and they are so pleasant to work with that even my husband didn't mind taking a lot of photos throughout our wedding day. I feel like some of our photos could be in a magazine. I've received an abundant amount of compliments on my engagement and wedding photos. I love all of my photos so much that I post a new photo on my Facebook profile every day. And one of my bridesmaids, who lives in Wisconsin, said that when she gets engaged she will fly down to Tampa so that Richard and Heather can take their pictures. For all the brides out there looking for a photographer, I HIGHLY recommend that you set aside a chunk of your budget towards photography and hire Richard Harrell Photography because it is an investment that you will never forget! I can't thank them enough for such a wonderful job they did.
