From our initial inquiry to the final delivery of the video, Richie was responsive, attentive, and professional. He took the time to understand our vision for the wedding video, answered all our questions and addressed any concerns. We felt confident and at ease, knowing we were in capable hands. Richie was also a pleasure to work with during the day. He is pleasant and funny and puts everyone at ease. He was really good at being there, without being there (if that makes sense).
Richie provides separate snapshots of the day…sneak peek, first look, ceremony, dances, toasts, cake cutting, etc. These are not highly edited, which is good because you want to see those moments from beginning to end without interruption. They are a great way of seeing bits and pieces from the day while waiting for the final, full wedding video. The final video was perfect. The cinematography was amazing, with beautiful shots capturing the day's intimate and special moments. The editing and pacing were ideal, and the music choices were well-chosen. He caught so many great moments that made us laugh and cry. He incorporated personal details like snippets of speeches and candid moments that made the video feel unique to us.
It’s important to know that this is not a quick process. Creative video editing is time-consuming and intensive; this is why sending out snapshots periodically was so great. It’s important to have realistic expectations. That being said, considering the wedding was during the busy wedding season, we received everything in a timely manner.

Beyond being an incredible videographer, Richie is an absolutely wonderful person. We thoroughly enjoyed working with him. Before our wedding, he took the time to meet with us to go over the day and answer any questions we had. On our wedding day, Richie made us feel so comfortable, and we honestly didn’t know he was there (in the best way possible!) We also received our videos really quickly.
Having Richie was the best decision we made for our wedding. I know that some people don’t see the value of having a videographer (my own mom was skeptical until she saw our videos), but trust me, it’s worth every penny. I was sure we needed one, but how amazing is this to have forever so we can actually hear the vows/laughs, see the tears and remember all the people, love and hugs. We got a video preview (short clip) THE DAY OF our wedding. And in a short turn around time received a USB and an actual watching device with our video to keep forever. Later on in the night he provided a sneak peak video and displayed it on a little screen at our bar. By the time I woke up the next morning he had already sent me a sneak peak video, as well. We met again with him in person two months before the wedding to give him a timeline and extra details about our wedding day. During the day Richie was someone who had the ability to not only calm our nerves but also keep us having fun and also thankful for one another. Our wedding video was everything we could have asked for and more. He did his work in a timely manner, giving us little snippets early on so that we weren’t waiting long and delivered the finished product with a beautiful reveal viewing night on Facebook. He then sent us a complete file of all our videos via USB and online. We could not recommend a better equipped videographer to capture any special event you may have. did as the wedding went by so fast and there were many things we didn't remember or were not completely present for given, the bride and groom are pulled in many directions for various things such as: pictures, traditions and greeting different guests etc. We have really enjoyed having the footage of our wedding in both high quality audio/ visual. I was especially impressed with the quality and clarity of the audio given it was really windy outside during the ceremony portion. Richie was easy to work with and good at making himself blend in so the footage is natural capturing many sentimental moments. Richie has multiple packages and was willing to work with us to create a customary package that fit our needs and budget. Additionally, he offered multiple ways to pay and split up our payments if needed. Richie also worked smoothly with our photographer, makeup artists, stylists etc. My mom was correct in the end, I would have regretted not having a videographer. I would only add that it is more than just booking a videographer its also crucial to book a videographer who is a good fit and, will provide a quality experience as well as, product that the couple will have for a life time. Richie Melby provided this for us and I would highly recommend him to others. Further, he seemed to be quick to adapt to different settings, people and situations so I believe he will easily be a good fit for the majority of couples and events.
