ed albums. We did an engagement shoot with Rick in June of last year and loved all the photos. Rick is so talented at finding good places for shots. He is very professional and so easy to work with. We just picked up our wedding photos this week and I can't stop looking at them. On the day of the wedding, so many people in our bridal party told us how much fun they had. On our wedding day, Rick came to my house to take pictures with my dog which was sooo awesome! He even knew the tricks to get my dog to look at the camera! Then when we got to the venue, our florist was there an hour late. Instead of sitting around waiting for the flowers, Rick stayed so calm and was able to figure out the most amazing shots without the flowers. He always responds within a day of emailing him, sometimes within minutes. He always also either answers phone calls or calls back right away. He is super knowledgeable and has so much experience with anything that comes up. He is super friendly and makes you feel so relaxed. I have so much anxiety all the time and honestly, taking pictures was one of the best parts of the wedding day for me. It was so much fun! We have so many awesome pictures to choose from that it is going to be difficult to pick the ones for the album. But, I can't wait because I know the album will look amazing! If you are looking for a photographer for your wedding, I would highly recommend Rick!!!

My husband and I only had to wait about 3 weeks after the wedding to receive ALL of our finalized photos – touched up and everything. We went through each one, and both of us cried. The pictures were perfect. There’s no better word to describe them. They captured each moment of our day perfectly, and reliving each moment of that day was nothing short of bliss. Our photographers, Lauren and Joe, were patient with us (a somewhat rowdy bunch), came with great ideas, and even stayed until the end of wedding, even though that meant staying longer than originally contracted to, by a few HOURS. They were “ghosts” during the reception, but still got the perfect shots, and weren’t “in your face” during the reception, but still managed to capture the joy on each persons’ face. Every big and little moment that meant everything to us that day was captured in photos, and they were perfect. I would recommend them to ANYONE. Such nice people, so much fun, and they really make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera (for those like me who don’t like to be photographed). They may be a LITTLE pricier than some, but let’s be honest, for the photos that will last you forever, on the biggest day of your life, THESE are the guys you want!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED, I PROMISE!

him I wanted a cafe/cozy/fall shoot and he suggested Ridgewood, NJ. We made the appointment for a little more than a week later and he was so flexible with date and time. He was right on time for our shoot and made us feel comfortable from the moment he began. My fiance hates getting his picture taken, but he was laughing and chatting away with Rick the whole time which made the shoot feel so natural. He is very personable and professional, and was really intuitive about how my fiance and I interact with one another. He probably took about 300 pictures and shared his images with us as we went along to make sure we got the pictures we wanted. We left happy, and within 2 days we had all of our pictures! It's so nice that there are people in the world that are dedicated to their craft the way he is. Thank you Rick!!!

These were the signature photos that reminded me of every girlhood romance story, movie and love song I'd known... and Rick Helman could help me have my very own. When I contacted Rick, he was so easy to talk to, fun and easygoing, and made me feel confident that he understood that this wedding was the world to me. When I called everything fell into place and he made me feel like nothing was impossible. I never felt rushed or embarrassed during the discussions about what I might expect in an album. I brought my parent's wedding album to show him some of my favorite photos and the importance they held for me. He asked me questions and made me feel very much a part of the process. He listened to my comments and what I liked. He shared several gorgeous album samples and we worked out ways to connect the emotion from the old within something that would be my own. I remember him saying often, " We can do that." Working with Rick He is punctual and personable. He was everywhere during the prep before the wedding and during our portraits after the ceremony. He gave directions that were spontaneous. He brings out the personality of the people he is capturing. The proof is in the photos. He is talented and creative yet makes everyone feel comfortable and included. Even my candid shots are beautiful! I can make books for months to tell different stories about the wedding day. His assistant Lance was also wonderful. He captured photos of my groom, the best man and my father that are priceless. Pictures to Published Presentation Rick's professionalism continues throughout the process of laying out the book. He helped share the steps the couple has to take to prepare and publish the book. He kept a line of communication open and clear at our convenience, to plan and edit the album until we had what we really wanted. We had updates about the progress of the album and when they came in... WE LOVED THEM! Reactions to the Published Presentation We have had the chance to share our album with family and coworkers; those who were not there love the story of the book, wished they were there and wish us the best because our love "shines through" the pages. Those who were there giggle and say, " I loved your wedding! I had such a great time! I want to see more pictures!" Without question the album is high quality. The texture of the cover causes one to caress it, hold the book longer and not want to put it down. I am truly ecstatic that I was able to have Rick Helman capture the most beautiful event of my life to date. I wouldn't consider anyone else.. We changed our wedding date and venue but he was amenable to honoring our deposit and doing the photography for the wedding. We highly recommend Rick!

t to work taking photos of the dress, flowers, rings, invitations, shoes, etc. Rick made me feel at ease throughout the day. When he was taking the photos of just the bride (me), he would share a few of the best shots with me. I looked gorgeous in those photos and carried on that confidence all day long! Rick's team was so professional and helpful and worked quickly to get the best and right shots. We had a very large party and they were able to get everyone organized quickly. They took all the necessary family shots and multiples quickly so we had at least 1 perfect shot of every set of people. He also has a great artistic eye, and we have plenty beautiful scenic shots on the beach, at the rocks, and playful shots throughout the night. Rick and his team stayed until we were fully satisfied that every last shot was taken, and even when they were about to leave and we requested one last FRIENDS FROM TEXAS shot, they organized 30 people together and took one of our favorite shots of the night! They got all the right pictures without us really feeling them at the reception. They were unobtrusive, professional and took AMAZING PHOTOS. We had the website up to review within a week or so and have spent the last few months enjoying the pictures and deciding which ones we want for our album. We can not wait to get our video too!!! When the limo bus was late to pick us up for the church, Rick and team offered to drive us in their cars. On the bus back to the reception, Rick and team helped by passing out drinks and keeping our guests quenched! (And never complained about the cramped bus ride back to the reception)! My whole party had GREAT things to say about Rick and his team and they all loved the photos and artistic flare. Even when I had enough of the heat and sun and had to call it quits outside, Rick and team kept shooting pictures of the guys and the family and getting some great keepers for the families to have for years to come!! They didn't waste a moment !!
