Above and beyond doesn't even begin to describe Ricke's contribution to our wedding. We contracted with Ricke as our wedding photographer before COVID hit. Once it started looking ...
like we couldn't have the wedding we planned, Ricke let us know he could be flexible with us, and would do everything he could to make our day special -- and did he ever!
Even though we didn't have a formal contract in place anymore, Ricke still came to our wedding, brought a second photographer, and spent 4+ hours shooting us getting ready, our ceremony, and and some special moments behind the scenes in between. We were floored by his dedication to us, even though there wasn't a binding document to make him so.
He was so easy to work with and just generally pleasant to be around. I never felt like Ricke was stealing the show or front and center, and our family said they barely even saw him at the ceremony. He returned our photos quickly, and let us see a few snaps in the days immediately following the wedding so we could get a sneak peek.
He was also very COVID-conscious, which was important to us -- he and his second photographer always had their masks on and kept a distance from us.
And, of course, if you're reading this you've probably already seen some of his photos, so it goes without saying that our pictures are *beautiful*. The way he uses light is incredible, and he has some brilliant ideas of how to use it that never would have occurred to us.
I couldn't recommend Ricke enough. Pandemic or not, he is absolutely a 5-star photographer. Thank you for everything, Ricke!
I had an absolutely fantastic experience with RickeHerbert Photography! Ricke's photos are absolutely stunning. Not to mention he is professional, timely, and so easy to work with....
He captured each and every moment perfectly on my wedding day- for example, when I was walking down the aisle, he was able to simultaneously get pictures of me and my father as well as pictures of my husband's reaction to seeing me walk in. I don't have words to describe the beauty of the photos and how Ricke was able to capture the emotion of each moment. I was speechless when I saw them. I've received countless compliments on the pictures already too. I am also awkward in front of a camera, but Ricke knew just what to do and where to pose us for these breathtaking photographs. My husband and I (and our families) will certainly treasure them forever. Thank you, Ricke!
Ricke was an amazing photographer to work with. He was very professional and immediately understood the artistic concept that I was trying to achieve with my wedding photos.

g the pre-wedding and wedding, Ricke was wonderful and easy to deal with, accommodating all of our last minute changes with no complaint. Trust me when I say that flexibility in your vendors is going to be a definite MUST! Despite our best efforts, and my husband and I both used to be wedding caterers, things will change. We were grateful that we would always rely on Ricke to make the appropriate adjustments.
What is exceptional about Ricke was that he was able to create a very comfortable environment for us. My husband and I are not really picture folks, to the extent that after 18 years of being together, we hardly have any photos of ourselves. However, Ricke managed to capture those special moments without over stressing us.
What was the sweetest gesture was that Ricke stayed longer than we had agreed upon so that he could capture all the amazing moments that our guests had. All in all, Ricke was an amazing photographer to work with and I will certainly be calling him next time we need a photographer for any reason!!!
If you're searching for a photographer, for any reason, go no further. Ricke did an amazing job for my wedding and my wife and I would recommend him a million times over. Professio...

Ricke was great to work with for our wedding photography! He was completely open to the type of pictures we wanted but was able to take control when needed to make sure we got grea...
t photos. Neither of us had been professionally photographed before but he made us completely comfortable and we got some really good shots. He and his team were discrete throughout the day and extremely generous with their time. We are very excited to see the final photos and highlight video after some great sneak peeks he sent a few days after the wedding!
“The word “awesome”, “excellent” are all very small when it comes to describing how I feel about Ricke’s work! The photos of my wedding are a testament to that! What touched me mo...
st is Ricke was always willing to go over and beyond to make my “big” day, most memorable-he was always punctual for all shoots (even for those at 6:00 am in the morning) and even unhesitatingly agreed to do me a pre-wedding shoot at no extra cost! My husband and myself will always be grateful for the help that Ricke has provided. I can promise you Ricke’s photography will bring out the best of your wedding!”
I'm not one to write reviews, but Ricke's work for us deserves it! We had a specific vision, and after reviewing his portfolio, choose him as our photographer. We wanted unique, ...
creative pictures. Well, Ricke totally exceeded our expectations! He kept us informed and always responded quickly to any questions. He was so easy to work with and helped us relax, have fun and enjoy our special day. The absolutely amazing moments he captured will be treasured by us forever. Thanks Ricke!!
We did both our engagement shoot with Ricke and then our Wedding Day and we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way! He made us feel comfortable and put us at ease from the beginnin...
g. He was great at capturing our best angles and had an eye for finding places that would give us a beautiful setting. Ricke was able to give gentle guidance for how we should pose for some shots (We’re not models after all!) What I really liked were his creative ideas for capturing the moment - like a way for simulating rain falling (without getting us wet!) and getting drone footage of the wedding day! Nowadays almost everything has been done by a wedding photographer, but he had some genuinely unique ideas. On the Wedding Day he remembered the specific shots of family we had requested, which was a load off of my mind! Throughout the process for both days he was incredibly responsive and clear on the scope of work, pricing, etc. and we got our photos back to us faster than we had expected. It took me weeks to decide which photos were my favorites, but we loved all of them and now have several stunning photos frames to remind us of the happiest day of our lives! I would definitely recommend!
Ricke was an absolute joy to work with. He was very responsive, thorough, and friendly every step of the way! On the actual wedding day he was on the ball! He arrived early, kept u...
s all calm, and seemed to move at the speed of light! Taking our couple photos was surprisingly one of the most fun moments we had in the day. Oh, and our photos were received a week earlier than expected and are so GORGEOUS. We can’t recommend Ricke highly enough!!
