y cancelled on us and called us 3 weeks before the wedding and told us that they couldn't DJ our wedding. We were so stressed and worried and didn't know what to do. It was overwhelming to find a new DJ company so close to our wedding. Then we realized that we went to our friends wedding last year and we absolutley loved their Dj. So we asked our friends who the DJ company was at their wedding? They told us to call Rick the owner. The rest was history, and he was so accommodating and very helpful! They gave us an amazing discount and great DJ/photo booth package! We believe everything happens for a reason, and Rickochet Entertainment was meant to be the DJ for our wedding! We had 3 or 4 meetings with them and they were so caring for our vision and our needs. They have a really cool website client portal that we could pick all the songs that we wanted to hear. Our DJ killed the dance floor and mixed all of our songs to where they flowed so well. Everyone at brunch the next day could not stop talking about how awesome the music was and the dancefloor was packed! Even our parents danced ALL night! They have a really cool mirror photo booth! We suggest getting the photo booth package. It was such a great package deal and you get so much with it. You have to have this company at your wedding!

andpoint. Most consuming/stressful part of our wedding planning for sure. Please read entirety of how miserable this was... all for $565. Rick cancelled day of our wedding due to getting COVID - ok no big deal, we completely understood, we had the best day ever & in the end it was just a photobooth, we said to get better & chat soon. 5 days later I asked if we could get our money back, sent our address & venmo, my message left on read 2 minutes later. That evening he said he was in the hospital with covid & would pay back next week. Again, completely understandable so we took his word for it. 8 days without hearing anything, l reached out again to say hope you feel better, left on read. 6 days after that I reach out asking if he's feeling any better (not yet bringing up anything about the money)..nothing. 2 days later he said he'd call me that day....nothing. 2 days later I asked again if he has venmo..nothing. 2 days later I asked if a check was in the mail. That night he said there was an emergency & death in the family & he'd need to do a payment plan - again thats unfortunate to hear so we gave our condolences & more time. 2 days later I asked about the payment plan he'd like to do, leaves me on read 10 minutes later. 2 days later I request the same, message left on read again. 3 days later I ask to give me a call or text me when he can. 1 day later I tell him its been 1 week since he said he'd get back to me & I haven't heard one word from him... no response. 2 says later he emailed me asking if we could chat, I emailed & texted back asap saying I'm free anytime for a call (not sure why he emailed me asking if we could talk when I've been texting him) I sent my venmo link again. That day he says cash has been tight with his business (not my problem) & he'll need to do a payment plan over the next 4 weeks, starting next week with $150. Minimum $150 every week. We agreed, better then nothing at this point. 5 days later we we get our first $150 back. 6 weeks since our wedding, now just to get the remaining $415 from this joke of a company. 1 week later & next $150 is due but guess what - he can't do it, asked for a few days extension. I said fine. 2 days later & he now tells me his dog died, he has health issues & he's waiting on invoices from clients in order to pay me - so now getting my money is dependent on other couples paying him, what a joke...I want to take his word about the poor dog & his health but at this point IDK. 6 days later I ask about the next $150, left on read 1 day later, same question, left on read 2 days later " " 3 days later " " 1 day later " " 1 day later " " Next day he asks for my venmo again, I send instantly 36 hrs & no payment I let him know we let venues and wedding coordinators know our experience Instantly from Rick "I told you I would pay you! After what you just did I need to rethink this" He blocks my phone number I email saying this will be easier if he unblocks - I give the list of who we are going to contact every day until we get our money. He asks for 11 days to pay us back in full. 11 weeks later & we finally get fully paid. No way to conduct a business, so unprofessional, guarantee he was going to scam us if I didn't keep at it. s nearly impossible and whenever we did schedule something, we’d have to reschedule because something came up on his end. Thankfully the website is self explanatory. Throughout the planning process we had various questions about his photo booth, the scrapbook, and other things but it was always hard to get a response as Rick wouldn’t reply at all or would respond days later which made things very inconvenient. The week leading up to the wedding, Rick wanted to schedule a day to meet to go over final details. Again, it was impossible to get a time scheduled with him. Meeting went well, lasted about two hours but during that time, we laid out specifics we wanted Rick to focus on. Unfortunately the day of the wedding, so many specifics fell short or did not happen. We had a mixed entrance song for the wedding party to come in to and he played the incorrect mix. Thankfully my wedding party was able to pull it off but this was only one of the many mistakes made for our wedding. We provided Rick a list of songs and dedications to play for the reception and dance party but many of these songs were never played. Also the entire night Rick was splitting his attention between his photo booth and the dj station. I believe this caused Rick to play songs for wayyyyy longer than they needed too. Rick said he’d mix songs into one another so the crowd remained hyped and On the dance floor but because some songs were played in their entirety, it just made dancing awkward and our guests weren’t feeling it. The upsetting part is in our contract it showed we payed to have an attendant to manage the photo booth….. it specifically stated “photo booth and attendant.” But Rick was doing both the DJ station and photo booth. Also, during the meeting Rick told us he was going to have one of his best DJs there and he’d be up to speed on everything but guess that DJ fell through and so did the attendant… For our grand exit, we told Rick specifically (during the two hour phone meeting) that although we had the LED fiber lights for our guests, we DID NOT want them used for our exit and told Rick that we wanted the sparkler exit (which he said was included in our package). Rick said he understood, even suggested we could do both the sparklers and led lights as he thought it would be cool and different….Well when it came to our grand exit, no one had sparklers and all of them had the LED wands. Our sparkler exit had been a moment we were looking forward to the most… and honestly.. It just really seemed like Rick could care less. We can never recreate that moment and it’s just frustrating and disappointing to say the least. After the wedding we’ve tried to follow up with Rick to discuss our experience and to provide constructive feedback… but of course, we weren’t made a priority before and we definitely won’t be made one now, as Rick still hasn’t bothered to follow up. I know Rick has done hundreds of Shupe weddings. As awesome as that is and all, I think Rick may have been a little too comfortable, to the point he didn’t care to prioritize us, take us seriously, or ensure what we requested was done.

n the portal you can pick must play, maybe play, and do not play songs. It made it super easy to pick all of our songs from the ceremony to cake cutting to first dances. Rick was always communicating with us and we put a lot of our wedding night in his hands. He read the room so well and people were dancing all night! I cannot recommend him enough!!

ick is the client portal on his website- you are able to add songs on there for the big moments (processional, first dance, etc.) as well as create a must-play, could-play, and do-not-play list for the reception. The website also has great lists of songs- top father-daughter songs, top requested songs, top 80s songs, etc. It was an incredible resource! In addition to being a great DJ, DJ Rick offers a photo booth which was a huge hit! People were taking photos all night with it, and it got rave reviews from our guests. He provides the props as well, which made it especially fun! He also took a video of us doing our sparkler send off, which we really appreciated since our photographer was not contracted to stay until the end. DJ Rick did an amazing job with everything- you will not be disappointed!

He had no clue what songs to play, he kept repeating songs, at one point there were commercials playing during the songs… I can’t say enough complaints and I was so utterly disappointed because music is everything to us. As a very organized bride who loved every single vendor of mine except this one, I suggest looking elsewhere.

ought in a different DJ for our wedding. My fiancé and I had never met or talked to him. The song I walked down the aisle to was incorrect, and he tried to change it in the middle of me walking with my dad. Then, he played the incorrect song for when my husband and I made our grand entrance. We had a specific love song for cutting our wedding cake, and he played “Love in a Hopeless Place” by Rihanna. He thought he would choose the music that evening. Wow. What a way to ruin the moment. Not to mention he stood right in the way of our professional wedding photographer trying to take a picture of us cutting the cake. This was so he could take pictures with his cell phone for his social media sites. I can’t begin to describe how disappointing this DJ was. I would never recommend him for your wedding.

ery pleased with his selections. From the welcome reception through the entire 6-hour event, the music never disappointed. Everyone enjoyed it. I never left the dance floor once the dance music started, and I had lots and lots of company up there. My guests raved about the music, and their feedback was that it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. I could not ask for more. Rick also provided the photo booth, and it was a big hit. I highly recommend Rickochet Entertainment for your events. You will not be disappointed.

The photo booth was worth it and was a HUGE hit amongst our friends and family. The up lighting looked amazing during the dancing and in all our photos during the reception. There was a slight hiccup during the the ceremony with music cues and Rick was super responsive to the team at Della Terra and quickly solved the issue in a matter of seconds to ensure I (The Bride's music) was correct when I walked down. He felt more like a friend than someone we hired throughout the process and gave us a lot of confidence coming out of state that the day would be amazing and it absolutely was. 100% recommend.

han planned during the 2020 pandemic, we made sure to still include Rick's services, as we knew everyone was struggling during this time. This didn't seem to please Rick in any sense. He demanded we pay for a hotel room for him the night of the wedding, which I was more than happy to comply with. He didn't stay in the hotel.... He is not flexible at all. When the weather decided to change last minute on our wedding day we had to do some rearranging of where everything was going at the last minute. He pretty much threw a toddler fit about the situation. And last but not least the pandemic in general. We were planning on doing our large original wedding in 2021, and were going to use Rick for this and verbalized this to him. When our 2021 wedding venue decided to not open this year he refuses to give our deposit back. I wasn't happy with his services in 2020, but wanted to honor our agreement in 2021. In this case I am unable to even have my wedding in 2021. Very un-flexible, and high temperamental. I don't recommend.

estion. It was SO MUCH fun going through all the pictures and notes the day after. Rick made planning easy. We could put songs into the website as we thought of them and he was flexible with how we got music to him. During our final meeting, we walked through the timeline and put every song into place. I really appreciated the attention to detail, as well as Rick's expertise. Post wedding, everyone talked about how much fun it was. Rick kept the party going until the reception was over, and was flexible as things changed during the reception itself. We had so much fun working with Rick and I cannot recommend him enough!

And second we did the photo booth that turned out amazing and there a bunch of pictures that I can't wait to have, but still waiting on all the pictures from photo booth electronically. My wedding was November, 2019 and it is June 2020 and I still don't have them. I missed out on requested Christmas gifts of the photos and mother's days gift. I keep getting there are others in front of you still waiting and it will be 2 weeks. At this point I know I want to be getting them, so if you decided to go with Rickochet, great as a DJ, but don't expect to get the photo memories from the photo booth.

he wasnt going to have it in time for our wedding but he was going to refund the $100 since we had paid our contract in full. Well that was 10/25/19. We have sent him multi text messages, email and calls and as of today he has not refunded our money. I would be weary of using Rickochet because the lack of honoring contract and not refunding money when services not rendor. I paid in full on the date the contract had requested with no issues it just sucks when other dont honor their part.

k personally DJ’d our wedding and made us feel at ease among the wedding planning chaos. We were able to choose our own songs on, his easy to navigate website, and on the day of we didn’t have to worry about micromanaging him to get the party going. Everything was on time according to the schedule we worked out through many calls and meetings with Rick. He was professional and easy going, he was attentive and in-tune with the crowd and asked our wishes for timelines and events during opportune times at the reception. We had about 15 songs we wanted played and trusted Rick to play the rest and he did a fantastic job. We were impressed that he could provide two entire systems without increasing the price. We had three locations where music would be played throughout the day, so during the cocktail hour he had music playing while he moved the ceremony system into the dining room. He did a great job making all of this go very smoothly. In terms of the equipment, microphones, music, transitions, sound quality, and overall volume everything was perfect!! The part that needs improvement and where we had a few issues is the inefficient communication. During the planning process we had a few phone meetings with him and he was very unprepared every time. These calls took over an hour, when they easily could have been done in 20 minutes. We sat there on the phone as he slowly clicked through all of our answers on the online portal and read off what we had written down and asked if we were sure about it. We wanted to play only motown classics during the dancing. A lot of the time was also spent assuring us again and again that it was our day and he would do whatever we wanted, and then immediately trying to steer us away from our choices and suggesting that we should choose some more current songs by Justin Timberlake or Bruno Mars in case people weren’t dancing. At the wedding, there was one problem after the ceremony: when we got to the end of the aisle we had planned for our officiant to announce for everyone to turn around so the photographer could get a big group shot. Unfortunately, the officiant’s mic was turned off so no one could hear him and the music kept playing as we stood there waiting in confusion. We eventually got the photo, but then the officiant’s mic was still off for when he was supposed to announce to everyone where the cocktail hour would be. All of these instructions were written down on the portal, so it’s disappointing that they were overlooked. Overall we’re happy with how the music turned out. There were just a few hiccups along the way.

He was definitely able to feel for the crowd and choose great songs. My guests commented on how great my DJ was, and I agree- I had a blast on the dance floor! Last, but not least, if you're planning on having a photobooth, save yourself some trouble and go with Rickochet Entertainment. They offer a great photobooth package and it's nice to have one less vendor to research on :) Rick is genuine and sincerely wanted us to have a great time at our wedding. He was great to work with and I highly recommend him!

Rick was available for phone calls and advice throughout the planning process as well. He was upfront with me from the start that he might not be the DJ on the night of our wedding. Since I had put a lot of time into planning on their portal and talking with him over the phone, I didn’t think having another DJ would be a problem. I found out the day before our wedding that we would have another DJ. While I had hoped that he would be prepared and familiar with our timeline and songs that we wanted, that was not the case. Our DJ seemed stressed and unsure of what was happening from the time we arrived at our reception. We had to ask him to make announcements that I had included in the timeline, and had to tell him what songs we would like played during events like the cake cutting. It just seemed obvious to me that he was not prepared, as I was told he would be. Guests at our wedding and members of the bridal party made similar observations, which was embarrassing to us, because we had chosen this company based on excellent reviews.

pre-created lists of songs and then created our own special list. It was sooooo easy, no downloading or sharing multiple emails it was all just right there. Another favorite thing about Rickochet Entertainment is there was no hidden fees and no sales pitch for things we did not need. We really felt like we were planning our wedding day with a friend who just wanted us to have the best party without a hitch. Lastly, ever been to a wedding where the wedding DJ is super awkward and thinks its his show? Not with Rickochet Entertainment. The DJ spoke up when needed to make purposeful announcements and pump people up but otherwise just kept the music and the vibes going! From the pre-ceremony music, to the ceremony to our intro and first dances it was all perfection because of Rickochet!

three months leading up to my wedding planning meetings with me and canceling them, which made me so much more stressed + frustrated as my wedding approached. Then, the guy he sent to be the DJ had absolutely no idea what he was doing, like Rick had not told him any of the things we had communicated so clearly to him that were so important to us. He had no idea what songs to play when, what volume to play them at, and when I walked down the aisle, the wrong song was playing. During dinner, there were commercials playing in between songs (literally the most tacky thing I've ever experienced), he had no idea how to direct people, and played all the songs I strictly communicated to Rick NOT to play. I go to weddings every weekend, and didn't want to hear any of the typical reception dance songs, but that's just what we got. I had even spent hours putting songs I really did want to hear into our Must-Play list, which are promised to be played, and I probably heard two of those songs. As the hosts of our wedding, both my husband and I's parents both had one special song request each, which we had told Rick about, but during the reception when asked to play them, the DJ refused. My parents were SO sad. I have always dreamt about dancing my heart out to all the best songs during my reception, and that unfortunately never happened. This guy had no idea what was going on ever, and when he did the First Dance, Generation Dance, Garter Toss, and Bouquet Toss, no one was even there because they had no idea it was happening. As we were about to run through the sparklers to exit, the DJ was clueless that we wanted a certain song played, and started playing the song I was supposed to walk down the aisle to?! He was just a mess and we left the wedding so upset about him, after trusting Rick would hire someone as good as he is, and putting so many hours into the planning of the songs. It felt like it all went to waste, and we could not be any more sad about how it all went on the DJ end. Please reconsider hiring this company if you actually care about the music on your wedding day.

y have lots of experience and when we met in person they had great recommendations and answers to all of our questions. They made the process very easy and fun as well. I really like their website with a list of recommended music...this is a great feature. I also let them pick out a lot of the dinner and dance music and all I told him was the genre, and it was perfect! On the day of our wedding, Rick was very helpful and accommodating of my requests and also had a great idea for getting everyone on the dance floor. Once everyone was out there, it was a DANCE PARTY! Rick knew exactly how to read the crowd and what song to play next. He rocked it, and so many guests told me, "...oh he's good". I know I didn't want my wedding to be a dancing flop, so I'm so happy I hired Rickochet! I've been to weddings that have no DJ...just a laptop and cheap, barely audible speakers, and let me tell you, NO ONE dances at those, it's just not even close to being the same. Rick gave us a nice bottle of wine as a thank you gift as well...a very nice touch. Thank you so much!

During the dancing at the end of the night I was told multiple times by my guests that "the DJ is too good, I can't stop dancing!" And more than that, he would check in with us at different points of the night to make sure we were having a good time and to reassure us of anything we were insecure about. It was a perfect day and Rickochet Enertainment was a big part of why!

o be Clark. The morning of the wedding; however, Rick said our DJ was now Jesus. It would have been nice to meet our DJ ahead of time, so we could get to know him and to clarify the wedding day timeline. The DJ's we had at our wedding did a pretty good job, but a few things could've been better. Rick said that set up would happen two hours before the wedding, but Jesus arrived one hour before the wedding. Halfway through the night, Jesus left and was replaced by two men. This was not communicated to us by Rick and seemed a little awkward. I also had to remind the two DJ's who replaced Jesus to play the clean-versions of songs. We had several children at our wedding, and at one point the two DJ's played a song that said "Throw your f****** hands up". There were also no slow songs played at the wedding which was kind of a bummer. Overall, communication and organization needs to be improved. We could have gone with other DJ's that were in the same price range.

We had a mixed crowd with many people from India and some from South America and Rick did a phenomenal job mixing songs from all these different places and keeping everyone dancing all night! We had many people tell us that it was the most fun wedding that they had ever been to, and even people who typically don't dance were out on the floor! Deanna ran a great photo booth and we have so many wonderful and fun photos to remember the night from. I cannot recommend Rickochet highly enough. They were amazing before, during, and after the wedding.

We were outside, inside, on multiple floors, and Rick made each of those transitions seamless. No matter how slow we could be at times getting back to him or how impromptu (and somewhat odd) some of our decisions were on the day of the wedding -- Rick was always ready. Always patient, always kind, always professional, and always fun! My husband and I are both incredibly happy that we chose Rickochet Entertainment!

ovide additional information. We were encouraged by this level of engagement and thus decided to sign a contract with them. After that, we found Rick very hard to get ahold of. It made planning more stressful than it needed to be and also felt like a stark contrast to their responsiveness before we signed a contract with them. That being said, our DJ, Cody, was fantastic. Our wedding was pretty non-traditional and Cody rolled with all the punches. We had a great time dancing.

vent. The music at the reception was one of the first items on our to do list as it was important to us our guests enjoyed their time. We interviewed several DJ companies and individuals but what stood out about Rick was his desire to get to know us, our style, our music preferences, and his ability to be personable. He wanted to make sure Rickochet was a good fit for us, not treating the conversation as a sales pitch. We opted to not hire a wedding planner and to do the event ourselves but never having planned a wedding left us with a lot of questions. Rick helped to walk us through the timeline of the day, the aspects of the event that involved music, many of which we had not thought of, and offered advice on ways to make the day flow smoothly. He was very kind and open to any of our input, often reminding us that it is our day and he and Deonna were just there to make sure it was everything we wanted. Rick prefers phone calls to emails, although he is able to do both, to make sure nothing is misinterpreted and to build a relationship with you. He took the time to drive to us on our weekend trip to Colorado as we live out of state to meet us face to face and iron out details of the wedding. He was always available, never difficult to get a response from. Rick not only scouted the venue beforehand to plan his setup but also coordinated with all the vendors to make sure all were aware of the timeline and that all flowed smoothly. Both of us had planned surprises for each other on the day of and Rick managed to keep the surprises secret as well as pull them off seamlessly. The music for our wedding was perfect. From playing a Beyonce intro for the bride walking down the aisle to Jagged Edge for our exit song, a Nigerian/hip hop mash up for the garter dance and dancing songs for the whole night, the music was seamless. Rick’s history as a DJ in clubs allowed him to smoothly transition from one song to the next, to get songs that were difficult to obtain and to make sure it was a party all night long. We are not exaggerating when we say our dance floor was never without people dancing from the time the reception started to the last song. Rickochet also offers a photobooth, which was a lot cheaper than any other photobooth options we saw elsewhere, and was a huge hit! Deonna helped everyone to move through the photobooth quickly and efficiently, with several guests talking for weeks about how much fun they had and how much they loved the pictures. Working with Rickochet Entertainment was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Helping with planning our timeline, guiding us through the process, catering to any request we had, keeping in contact with us in the months leading up to the wedding and being genuine people were just icing on the cake to the amazing music experience they provided. We would highly recommend Rickochet Entertainment to anyone for any event, especially a wedding. They simply can’t be beat.

He brought all his own equipment and we never had to worry about set-up as he personally contacted our venue and made sure all arrangements were taken care of.
