looked downstairs and was horrified to see that my cakes were all incorrect. I had ordered four two-tier heart cakes with short phrases. Two of them were supposed to be white with burnt orange piping and writing, and the other two were to be white with dark green piping and writing to match my color palette. Instead, the cakes were decorated in peach and lime green—nothing like what I had requested.
To make matters even worse, we paid in full with a check that took over two months to cash, despite numerous calls to their wedding department asking when it would be deposited. When we brought the mistake to their attention, they refused to reimburse us, despite the fact that the check had still not been cashed. Instead, they offered a gift card to their store, but even that didn’t cover the amount we originally paid.
On a positive note, our cutting cake was simple and gorgeous, and despite all the heart cakes being the wrong color, the flavor was good. However, after spending so much on cakes that were made incorrectly, I can’t overlook the poor service. Why would I want to return? The entire experience was a nightmare, and I’m incredibly let down by their lack of professionalism. I would not trust Rick's Bakery for any special occasion cakes.

ern we had was the cake was delivered rather early and the humidity of the venue (inside/outside venue) caused the cake topper to not be able to stay on and the cake started to droop on the side of the topper. ey other thing I loved was they made great Gluten Free options. I have a gluten allergy so it was important for us to find a bakery who could make a cake or cupcakes gluten free so I could still participate in the day! Rick's matched our inspiration photos perfectly and they were on point with the delivery time. I wanted a simple cake with light icing, and a white chocolate drip. Ricks truly delivered! We had powdered sugar donuts placed all over, and it was a huge hit with our guests. The grooms cake was a fish jumping out of the water, getting grabbed by a hook...Ricks created this vision beyond measure! Our guests (and my now husband) were absolutely mesmerized by this cake.
We had ordered cake for about 150 people, thinking we would give our 300 guests an option of cake or tiramisu. When COVID hit, we had to drop our guest list to 50.
On the bright side, I was looking forward to lots of extra wedding cake. But the next day when I went to pick it up from my parents house, the only thing left was our topper I had specifically asked to save! I delivered the flowers to Rick's the day before my wedding and asked for someone to "just put them on there however it looks pretty" and they really did it.
