Kari Ries, the founder of Ries Video Productions, got her first taste of wedding films when editing her own wedding video in 1994. Kari has been in love with the art of videography since she was a college student, and decided to turn it into her full-time career. She has previously worked as a cameraperson with NBC10 in Philadelphia, so she is well accustomed to working under pressure. This experience taught her the art of visual storytelling, a skill that is apparent in her work to this day. Kari can document weddings in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware, alongside her home of Bucks County.

ct. I cry every time I watch it. She captured every beautiful moment. She also made sure i was happy with it before finalizing. She asked if i had any changes i wanted to make. I think i loved her most for how she made me feel on my wedding day. Wedding days are extremely stressful: not to mention is rained all day, and I was sick. Like i said, Kari made sure i was relaxed which is NOT her job but because of her calming demeaner, she helped me remain calm during the most important day of my life. I would highly recommend. Not only that, but her laid back style of videography was something we were excited about.
In the early stages of planning, we were unsure of what do to for a wedding videographer but I am SO glad we decided to go with Kari. She captured our wedding day naturally and the final products were perfection, and certainly had us (and our families) shedding a few tears. <3
Kari was very detailed and thoughtful throughout the wedding planning process. She was timely with her email responses and was genuinely excited to work with us. I also felt that our styles/vibes complemented each other – something I was really keen on when selecting wedding vendors.
I also love that Kari didn't overly script or pose us throughout the day, she captured us "in our element" which was amazing. We had a few "checklist" items like the first kiss (of course!!) but otherwise, we let Kari take creative freedom over the day.
She was also willing to work with us on song selections and overall "flow" of the final video + the highlight Reel.
