with her that we haven’t talked about how glad we are that we hired her to take our engagement and wedding pictures. We hired Riley to shoot our engagement session, rehearsal dinner, welcome reception, as well as day of our wedding (plus a second shooter for day of). I encourage you to book her for more than just your “big day” — the engagement shoot gave us the time to have fun together and get comfortable in front of the camera. Having Riley at our rehearsal dinner and welcome reception was a BLAST. It ensured that we were able to get pictures with our favorite people, without having to run around during the reception. Here are some concrete examples of why Riley is incredible at her job: 1. Adventure sessions — I was not thrilled by the idea of engagement pictures in our hometown, in a random field, or some generic location. So in comes Riley and her adventure sessions - we literally went to Vegas with her! Not only did we get some of my favorite pictures of me and my husband of all time, but we were able to build a rapport that carried through wedding planning and into the big day. 2. Responsiveness — Riley was always incredibly accessible via email - and oftentimes reached out with resources and recommendations that I didn’t even know to think about. When I had questions about the smallest of details, like ring box colors, vow books, etc. or felt like I was being *that bride* Riley always made me feel like I was the center of her attention. She was quick to give the best advice, and was always a calming presence. 3. Willingness to try new things — In order to secure our venue, we had to commit to having our ceremony after it closed to the public, which meant after sunset. This was stressing me out! Riley showed us what night ceremony photos would look like, how they might look and feel, and helped us craft our day of schedule so that we would get all the shots we wanted in a variety of lights. And she made us feel cool for choosing something different. You can count on Riley to celebrate any choice you make. 4. Experience in front of the camera — I’m sure you’re thinking “but I don’t know how to pose”. Great - neither did we! But Riley made us feel like models. She provided helpful tips, and gave clear direction, but she was never pushy, always fun, and encouraged us to be natural the entire time. Everyone in our wedding party and even guests commented on how much they enjoyed her presence and her guidance. 5. Values alignment — I didn’t want to spend a dime on a vendor who thinks that queer people are anything less than perfection or that laws are meant for restricting people. So I was thrilled when I found Riley who is loud and proud about where she stands so I didn’t have to wonder. It made us so relieved to be able to have another member on the team who we knew would be affirming, accepting, and loving throughout the whole process. 6. Quality of her work — Riley quickly turned around hundreds of pictures from all of our shoots. They are gorgeous. They are stunning. I cannot stop staring at them and will forever be grateful to Riley for capturing them. So if I haven’t been clear enough, 10/10, A++, five stars. What are you doing reading this still? o. All I could think about was how beautiful she made my friend feel as a bride, her energy with the whole group, her inclusivity and I knew that's what I wanted on my wedding day. When you think about a photographer capturing the most important pictures for you and your lover's biggest day, you need more than just someone who is good with a camera. She has a personality that makes it fun to get uncomfortable, try something new with pictures, but always respect the couple! She brought out this confidence in us that made our album even better! When I got engaged summer of 2023, I don't think I could pick up the phone fast enough to make sure she was available! She knew the schedule up and down, in fact offered to help make it flow better and made a few tweaks with our coordinator. We had a destination wedding in Cabo, so lots of distance that made the small things hard but not impossible. Riley showed up, walked the resort, knew her spots for lighting, you just knew she was going to crush it. I can look at our album and still remember every moment of everyday. Fast forward 4 months after our wedding, she's now a friend who is welcomed into our home at any time. That's what you'll get when you book Riley!

her separately for a family shoot last fall. She is truly amazing at her job, and it comes through both in the end results (photos) and the experience. We did not have a clue as to the types of photos we wanted, where to shoot, etc. Riley listened to our priorities and outlined a great vision, guided us through everything, and then captured amazing moments. She spent time getting to know us, our personalities, and the things we were comfortable with. She pays attention to details that you don’t (hands in pockets, no phones or wallets on your body, how you’re positioned, the lighting, backdrops, and everything in between). During the wedding, she blended in seamlessly, while still getting every moment. In every way, she over delivered on our expectations! Beyond the photos, Riley is simply a joy to work with. She is organized, is a strong communicator, a lovely person, and worked well with our other vendors. 11/10 recommend! She doesn’t charge enough!!

to make sure everyone felt comfortable on our special day and that immediately brought us some comfort after having our first meeting with us. Riley was fast and responsive to all of our e-mails and provided us with a ton of great information leading up to our big day. We had a meeting to plan out our timeline and make sure the day ran smooth and we were all on the same page. The day of our elopement she met us at our getting ready location on time (early, in fact!) and immediately said her hellos and got to work. She had alarms set for us to make sure we were sticking to our timeline and still made sure to capture not only the standard "wedding" pictures, the fun and silly moments too. We had a quick preview back the next day, a little bigger gallery preview back in a week and she had our full gallery back to us exactly on time. I would give her 100 stars if I could and would recommend her to anyone who asked in a heartbeat.

g, and coming to our welcome party. Neither of us were super excited about having our photos taken, but Riley made it all so easy and effortless. The photos capture the vibe of our wedding so well! We don't love looking at photos of ourselves and we can't stop looking at the photos she took! They're so good we can hear our guests laughing and singing in them. We're going to cherish these photos forever. They transport us back to that really special day.

was amazing. They came out beautiful and exactly in the kind of style we were hoping for. Working with Riley was very easy - she is super flexible and just fun to be around! We honestly felt like we were hanging out with a friend during our shoots. My partner and I are both pretty shy, and Riley did a great job helping us feel comfortable. For each of our two photo shoots, she focused on our needs and advocating for exactly what we wanted while also being kind and professional. For example, there was a moment after the ceremony where I felt overwhelmed with the crowd and wanted a moment with my husband. s together. Riley's infectious energy during our at-home engagement session really helped make him feel comfortable and the photos turned out STUNNING. For the wedding, I filled out a form from Riley before the wedding answering some questions about our priorities/family photo arrangements; as an admittedly very Type A person I was nervous about ensuring we got the photos I wanted. But Riley was a pro at capturing my priorities photo-wise, noticing little moments to capture, and figuring out when to step in to craft/pose a shot and when to melt into the background to instead capture a candid. And the images were, once again, STUNNING—she has such a great eye that was that ideal mix for me of gorgeous artistry and genuinely capturing emotion and personality. There are so many photos that I still start immediately tearing up at when I look at them. Hands down one of the best decisions I made for our wedding. Hire Riley!!!!

We would stop filling out an inquiry if it said “bride / groom” on it or didn’t ask for pronouns just because we knew that the person wouldn’t be the right fit for us. That being said, before we even met Riley, she checked all of our boxes. We got on a FaceTime call with Riley that probably lasted an hour or so and she was so kind, personable, and funny. It was an easy decision from there. :) Riley was incredibly professional throughout the entire process, asked thorough questions, and remembered things we put in our inquiries that I had even forgotten (like wanting to capture us in specific ways involving the activities we enjoy doing together). Riley sent us our previews for both our engagement shoots and our wedding pictures within 48 hours and we were blown away with our photos from our wedding day. Riley was so positive the entire day and helped calm my nerves. She’s a problem solver and an overall wonderful human! She is so organized and detail-oriented, and made sure we were on time and that we got to all of our planned locations without making us feel rushed. We truly had the best day!! We got our preview within 24 hours of the wedding, (our full gallery in 5 weeks) and I don't think I've stopped looking at the photos since! We were worried not having met before our first wedding it might be awkward but right away it felt like a close friend was capturing our day. I’ve had numerous family members and guests tell me how awesome our photographer was and that says a lot given many members of our family and wedding party are not huge fans of getting their picture taken. Something that was very important to me was capturing candid moments throughout the day and Riley did just that. Every time I go through my photos I feel transported back to the special day. Riley demonstrated so much creativity doing our engagement shoot in freezing weather and COVID-19 restrictions. We are two fairly camera-shy people who were able to laugh and have fun during Riley's photography sessions with us. During the wedding day, Riley was organized and had a plan. Riley worked well with her second shooter, Chelsey, and sent us preview pictures extremely quickly. Riley kept the energy and the party going throughout the night and we had several guests express interest in working with Riley in the future. We had so much fun working with Riley and the photography has all turned out beautiful!
