Rebekah and Hosanna were AMAZING throughout our entire wedding planning time! They were super helpful in answering all our questions (and we had many) in the months leading up to t...
he wedding and were so organized the day of. Our wedding and reception ran a bit behind schedule but they were SO accommodating, made sure everything ran smoothly and made sure that my husband and I had a wonderful time. Their hard work, talent, and lovely personalities made our wedding day better than we could have imagined. Thank you so much Riley's at Los Rios Rancho!!
This was a perfect place for me and my wife to do our wedding originally. They had a great location, the areas where the ceremony takes place seemed very beautiful (we were plannin...
g a late summer wedding), and the price wasn't that bad. My wife was dead set on a rustic wedding and I figured it was what she wanted so we booked it back in November. Well, as time went on, my wife got stressed about the wedding and our friends and family started saying they couldn't find a good place to stay over the night in the area due to the fact that they didn't want to drink and drive. We explained it was just wine and beer allowed, but they of course still wanted a good night. Well, my wife thought about it for a few weeks and I did as well, and we started finding other local venues near us that were the same or cheaper, so she figured a local one would be best for our guests especially since most of them are in Southern OC area.
Here is where the 2 star review comes from, I call Rebekah to let her know that my wife and I have thought about it long and hard and realized that it would be best to just do it at a local venue. Now, I was expecting to lose my $500 deposit, but I did not put any other funds in just in case my wife wanted to change her mind. Rebekah then came off as brash and quite pushy. Rather than discussing why we changed our mind and maybe even talk about some local hotels for our guests, she said that they usually tell other couples to plan all of this before booking with them. She then continued to express how it was a "drastic decision" and how they are "disappointed" to hear about our decision....excuse me? I get that it sucks that we are cancelling only 3 months away from our day and that it is an inconvenience, but literally the way she came off made me feel like I was this horrible person to going with the wishes of my wife and concerned about our family's safety as well as our friends. She was more concerned about getting our money and I even brought up she can keep the $500 deposit, but it sounded like she wanted the full cost of the wedding ($8k) now that we are doing this to them....Um...no. We had until a month prior to the wedding day to cancel, so we are. Sorry, but we followed the rules.
To be honest, I was tempted to do a stop payment to the deposit check, but I figured they can keep the $500. The venue is nice and I do recommend the venue, but don't pay the whole thing until you ABSOLUTELY have to as if you cancel within the window, I feel like they will try to keep it. For Los Rios, please understand that weddings are stressful for us as well, and it sucks that this happened, but please take a simple lesson in customer service before you send an email to a client stating of how you are "disappointed to hear of your drastic decision just 3 months prior" and how it sucks that you are unable to reserve the date for another customer....putting your needs above the customer will just make you look shallow.
This Venue is simply the best location and pricing available. We had a traditional wedding and reception and were very satisfied with the service and location. The venue is a qui...
et location with a rural farm atmosphere that is both relaxing and comfortable. A previous review mentioned that the end time was restrictive and did not follow local regulations. We had an all outdoor wedding and this was explained to us by the coordinator. The venue is on leased property that is owned by The Wildlands Conservancy and part of the rules of the property restrict noise and where your wedding can be held. If you want to have a loud late party it is better to look elsewhere, but for a quiet rural celebration of marriage this is one of the nicest places you will find in the Inland Empire. All of our guests were very happy and continue to tell us how wonderful their time at our wedding was.
We were initially really excited about having our wedding at this location. It really is very pretty. We met with the wedding coordinator assistant as well as the wedding coordina...
tor who explained the day details and gave us a contract to review and ask questions off of. There were several things that concerned us on the contract, namely the mandatory 8:30 reception end time which was too early for us. We were assured that we would be able to extend the time for an unnamed price, so we thought nothing more of it and agreed. Upon re contacting them several months after booking to inquire about exact pricing details, they claimed to have no recollection of our reception extension conversation and told us that this would not be possible due to wildlife noise regulations. We called the chamber of commerce of Yucaipa and confirmed that this was not in fact a valid issue, and noise limitations don't take effect until 10 pm. We decided that we would rather face switching venues than to continue in light of their dishonestly and refusal to comply with their initial promises to us. We requested a refund of our deposit in light of the false understanding we had signed under, and were rudely turned down with all blame pointed at us. I wish so badly that we had never initiated anything with them.
