We recently had our wedding Rio Plaza, and it exceeded every expectation! The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Additionally, Celest and Heather were incredible coordinators! Th...
ey were incredibly organized, attentive, and proactive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. From coordinating with vendors to managing the timeline, they made sure everything went seamlessly. Would definitely recommend this venue!!
This place was perfect. Walking distance to lovely hotels and St Mary's Church. We had the Grande Vista ball room & 130 guests. At first, i was concerned that it would be a litt...
le tight, but there was plenty of room. The food was coordinated through Rio Plaza and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for a wedding or any other large celebration. It was perfect!
We loved having our wedding here! The staff and Melanie made our special day impeccable. Made wedding planning super easy and our reception was all we had hoped for and more!
Rio Plaza is AWESOME!!!!!!! First of all, Melanie is a superhero wedding coordinator. So there's that :) Secondly, they offer multiple levels of service and multiple ballrooms t...
o accommodate the needs of their clients. We had our reception in the Grande Vista Ballroom and WOW does it photograph well. The space also allowed us to split up the room for dinner and dancing. The food was great. We had the chicken cordon bleu, and got lots of compliments from guests. They also made special accommodations for some of the little kids celebrating birthdays, which I really appreciated. They also didn't skimp on the margaritas...which was also a bonus. We did order top shelf though....which was, in retrospect, a great decision. This was a perfect venue, we all had a great time, they made my night stress-free, and I would highly recommend!
Rio Plaza was the perfect venue for our wedding. It is in an awesome location, directly on the river walk but blocked off enough from curious wedding crashers.
I was looking for a...
place in San Antonio that could give me a simple and classic western-chic style and Rio delivered! Melanie was amazing at noticing the small but bridally important details to put my mind at ease before and day of the wedding. Everything turned out exactly how we had discussed and Melanie and the staff was awesome at handling anything and everything that could possibly occur!
Rio Plaza was a wonderful place to have our wedding. After visiting several venues in and around the San Antonio area, my husband and I decided on Rio Plaza. I am so glad that we...
did. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, the margaritas were still being talked about by our guests and they all told us that they had so much fun! The price was very reasonable and included, a day of coordinator, food, table decorations, clean-up, set-up, drinks, and venue for reception and ceremony. Melanie, the wedding coordinator was helpful, cheerful and quickly helped with any obstacles we encountered. I had a stress-free wedding day because everything was handled so well by Melanie and the staff at Rio Plaza. I would highly recommend having any event at this venue! They made our special day, truly, the BEST day ever!
I could not have picked a better wedding venue!! Melanie was our coordinator and she kept constant communication and planning with us all the way up to our big day. The ceremony, r...
eception, and the view of the Riverwalk were perfect and all my family/guest gave outstanding compliments on the venue and food! My husband and I would recommend the Rio Plaza to anyone looking to get married in San Antonio, Texas! Thank you, Melanie for everything!
Melanie was our coordinator at the venue. She made sure things ran smoothly and that we were taken care of. The set up was perfect! Our guests complimented us on the venue, the dec...
or, and how smooth the night went. If you are looking for a Riverwalk wedding reception, I highly recommend you contact Rio Plaza and speak with Melanie.
Love everything about this venue! & all that it comes with including a great wedding coordinator that helps you every step of the way no extra charge!
Beautiful venue, Traci takes care of everything without us having to lift a finger! All at an amazingly affordable price.
Rio Plaza was the perfect venue for a downtown wedding. Traci was a dream to work with. The food, service, bar, EVERYTHING was perfect. Our wedding was a dream come true thanks to...
Traci.
Rio Plaza was the perfect place for our wedding reception. The value is amazing - for what you pay here compared to other similar venues you are absolutely getting the most bang fo...
r your buck. Even the alcohol prices were very reasonable and the food quality was excellent- we've received nothing but compliments on the food and bar service from guest. Our reception was in the Grande Vista room which has an amazing Riverwalk view and the pictures we've seen so far look breathtaking. Finally, the staff, and especially Melanie who we primarily worked with, were very helpful throughout. From an extensive overview of pricing on our first call, handling all of our planning and small changes throughout the planing process, and making sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding she was amazingly profession and friendly throughout. I have absolutely no regrets about my wedding reception and would highly recommend this venue.
The Rio Plaza offers a wonderful selection of event venues which are very different. We chose the Cielo Vista Room, which was perfect for our cocktail reception wedding. Traci Burt...
on & her staff went above & beyond to accommodate our diverse crowd. Everyone had a great time & so did we. Traci's suggestions were invaluable since we are both novices at event planning. She took care of all the event details, so we were able to focus on other things. If I ever have to plan another event, I will look there first!
We wanted a venue that would be downtown, beautiful, classy but comfortable, good food, and someone else to set everything up so we didn't have to do anything. AND we wanted a reas...
onable price. When we found Rio Plaza and Melanie, we hit the jackpot.
Once we met with her and saw our options, we decided on the fourth flour space with the balcony that used to be Las Leyendas Restaurant. We had approximately 60 guests so it was the perfect size. There are larger options as well. We had no idea that Melanie would handle EVERYTHING for us. Once we selected the food and decided how we wanted everything set up, we were done! We didn't have to buy centerpieces or decorations. We did have a few items we wanted placed on tables and at the entry so earlier in the week, we took down 2 boxes. Melanie reviewed where I wanted things and said she would handle it AND she did. I walked in an hour before the wedding and everything was perfect. Even a last minute missing accessory cord was handled without a problem.
Our guests raved about the food, especially the meatballs! And everyone thought the venue was perfect.
My only suggestion is to use a microphone for the service or any announcements. The street noise from below comes and goes. It didn't bother us at all other than right as our ceremony started, a small band started playing below us on the Riverwalk and it was hard to hear our officiant.
I can't say enough about Melanie and the staff. I highly recommend Rio Plaza.
Originally, I had pictured myself having a downtown wedding. Finding a venue with our budget and vision in mind, I figured it would be the one thing that I would spend a great deal...
of time looking for. Fortunately for me, I had met the Rio Plaza team at a Bridal Expo, and they seemed great so we set up a meeting. I was so happy with the location; we used it for both ceremony and reception. It is truly a one stop venue for everything you need for your wedding! They do the linens, the food, the drinks, and if you don't have a vendor for something they can recommend people. Traci was our coordinator and she was no nonsense which I loved that about her, and she made sure that the only two opinions she cared about were mine and my husbands. She went above and beyond when we had our chocolate fountain mis-hap, and she was great about packing all our belongings and items for the night. I would highly recommend Rio Plaza if you are looking for a downtown venue and great price!
Melanie, Tracie and their staff were all wonderful. They made and effort to make our wedding the best day ever. They are professional, friendly and sincerely care about what the br...
