She was unprepared for my hair and makeup trial, did not ask anything ahead of time about what I wanted it what my bridesmaids would want. I nearly cancelled after a very rushed, unprofessional and not great trial but had already paid about 50% at this point so just continued knowing that I have friends that work in the industry who could come early and help if needed. Day before wedding, asked to come in early and then showed up even earlier than asked - we had a timeline with the venue we needed to stick to. Our venue coordinator commented on how rude she was when trying to get into our bridal suite early and we weren’t there yet and it was not the agreed on time. She didn’t introduce herself or let our coordinator know who she was. Not that this is a huge deal, but she came in sweats and looked extremely unprofessional as well her own makeup barely done which to me is just odd having friends that work in the industry- they know that attending events their own makeup is like a ad for them and how well they do they own makeup. She spent ~30 mins in hair AND makeup for each bridesmaid and three out of the four ended up redoing a significant amount afterwards. She did not come prepared for people with different skin tones and reused the same brushes and makeup on each person despite us all having very different tones, and features. I was not offered an opportunity to have her fix anything because I needed to step out for 5 minutes as soon as she finished mine to meet with the coordinator quickly- I said I’d be right back and she was packed up and gone. My mother said she took off; and then we had a friend fix my makeup and I am so glad I brought my own. You could still see the sock bun sticking out of my hair in multiple places and I have a LOT of hair so it’s not like there wasn’t a lot to work with. We had custom hair pins made to match my earrings that matched the beading in my dress and she broke one up them and bent two others without talking to me about it at all. Throughout the process prior to wedding day; it’s clear she was having money issues as she’d tech out very often offering a deal or % off if you paid a portion by a certain date. I’m not sure if she is just going through something but based on other reviews it just seems like she is not interested in running a smooth, professional business. I can tell you way to much about her, her mother health issues, her dogs health issues, her and her husbands concert schedule and travel schedule and work commitments etc it just seemed like there wasn’t ALWAYS something going on from scheduling trial to just getting a contract to wedding day. Overall, a lot of unnecessary stress added to the day from an unprofessional experience.
