Where do I even begin. I feel I have know Darren & Erin for years! They were absolutely AMAZING! They made everything feel like a breeze. From the meeting to the big day everything was perfect. They both have great personalities and were so fun to work with. The pictures turned out incredible !! It's so hard to chose between them all. I highly recommend and would book with them again in a flash.

Darren and Erin were amazing! They photographed my daughter Rachel and her husband Colin on Oct. 21, 2023. They went above and beyond to get the best photos, and were at the venue from early morning until late in the evening. You 2 truly helped make my daughter's wedding day incredibly special! I would rate you 6 stars if I could.

I met Darren and Erin about 5 years ago and a previous family wedding. Then a few years ago, we used them for a family party. They made a lasting impression on me that I knew when I got engaged, I needed to use them. And I am so glad I did! We did our engagement photos with them and we had a few shots with our son. We were nervous on how he would be (he was 7 months at the time), but they were so welcoming and so much fun. Fast forward to the wedding, they were so patient and provided wonderful suggestions for photo spots. I don't think words can express how happy my husband and I are since we chose to have Darren and Erin capture our special day. From our engagement session to our wedding day, they were just absolutely amazing to work with. Darren was really helpful in assisting us with planning our timeline for most of the day leading up to the reception. We sat down with Darren and discussed different locations for photos, and he provided us with recommendations as well. Darren was very helpful in really fine tuning our timeline, which made me feel very comfortable. Both Darren and Erin just made it so fun! Darren & Erin were phenomenal! They captured our engagement photos and wedding day so beautifully - we had so much fun with them! We can’t say enough amazing this about Darren and Erin! From the moment we met with Darren it was evident that he absolutely LOVES what he does and truly cares about the entire process. Darren was ALWAYS available to us to answer any questions, offer advice, and/or bounce ideas off of. The customer service was top notch and made us feel like we were his only clients due to the amount of focus and attention he brought to the table! On our first meeting, Darren was the perfect match for us! He was incredibly knowledgeable about our venue locations, very communicative, and extremely professional. He has such an amazing personality and had us laughing and smiling easily. The wedding photos he took were as bright and as beautiful as the day of our wedding. My wife and I got married in October, 2022. Darren and Erin were an amazing team! They not only took the best pictures of our day but also reduced the stress of it as well. Prior to the day, Darren was always available for questions and made the prep very easy. On the day, they helped us stay on schedule and they were so much fun they made our wedding day more enjoyable by just being a part of it. First, I’ll start by saying that Darren and Erin are AMAZING! My mother in law and I found them at a booth at a bridal show. They were the first wedding vendor I spoke with, and we talked for almost an hour (maybe even longer!) and we knew right when we walked out that they were the photographers we had to have. They are so nice, funny, passionate, helpful and down to earth people. Darren communicated with us during the whole wedding planning process and even gave us suggestions for venues, locations for photos, DJ’s, and we even found our DJ through Darren because I knew if Darren loved him, we would too, and they worked so well together! We had such beautiful pictures for our engagement and we had a BLAST together! Both Darren and Erin vibe so well and I have had so many people tell us that they were amazing at our wedding and ask for their information. I can’t put into words how grateful I am to have found them and they made our big day so perfect. We had so much fun during our photos and that can be stressful (from what I’ve heard) but there was no stress at all with them and our photos are so stunning. One of the best wedding decisions we made. If you want a team of photographers who make you feel incredible, make the day easy, and who can handle difficult family, Darren and Erin are it. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous and from a venue that is notorious for hard lighting! We cannot say enough good things and cannot believe how lucky we were to find Rising Star. Darren and Erin were so much fun to work with. I can honestly say that I knew I wanted to hire them after meeting them at a bridal show and didn't really look into many other photographers. It was so easy to communicate with Darren and ask any questions we had. A month before our wedding my husband and I met Darren in person and he went through our entire wedding day schedule with us which was super helpful. Based on his experience, Darren offered us helpful advice on pictures as well as how to get different part of the wedding day to run the smoothest. Darren and Erin were absolutely incredible from start to finish! I couldn't have asked for better photographers to have at my wedding! They caught small details in the surroundings and made sure everything looked incredible for every picture. They coordinated with my DJ and venue coordinator all night to make sure everyone was on the same page. What really impressed me was how quickly the time went by where we were taking pictures before the wedding! The whole bridal party was having a good time and joking around with them. It made taking the pictures hassle-free (and let me tell you, most of the groomsmen normally HATE taking pictures). I didn't hear a single complaint the whole time! I was also really impressed that Darren had brought the list of pictures I requested and made sure to get every one of them. Overall, I couldn't speak higher of these two and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for awesome photographers!

Darren and Erin were awesome. They made sure our wedding day went off without a hitch, were so personable with our family, and just overall so much fun. And the pictures were beautiful! Darren and Erin were INCREDIBLE from start to finish! After my initial inquiry Darren emailed me immediately with pricing info and details! I was so impressed with how responsive he was the entire time, and still is even after our wedding! He always made time to email or call with my questions and concerns. Even before we officially decided on them he made time to send me sample albums and answer any questions I had, which I really appreciated! Darren had great location suggestions for bridal party pictures and was so organized when it came to family pictures. They helped create our entire timeline, kept us on schedule, and Darren and Erin had great personalities and kept us smiling the entire day! They are the kind of people I would like to hangout and have some drinks with, they are so much fun! The pictures turned out beautiful! They even got some details that I wouldn’t have even thought of! Like my shoes and the centerpieces. And any time we grabbed them asking for specific pictures they were always ready to capture them! We received our full album in a timely manner, about 4 and a half weeks which is pretty fast considering fall is the busy wedding season! I do wish that we would’ve gotten just a couple of previews a bit sooner, even just 1 or 2, but I do know fall is the busy wedding season so I definitely understand that they are very busy. I would definitely recommend Rising Star Photography for your wedding! The price alone is unbeatable, especially for the quality and all that you get with it and you get to make 2 new friends along the way!

It was an honor to have Rising Star Photography photograph our wedding on July 16th at Music Box Supper Club in downtown Cleveland. Darren and Erin were simply amazing and very professional! We got so many compliments from our family and friends; not only about the BEAUTIFUL pictures that we were given, but how friendly and fun Darren and Erin were. They made us feel very comfortable and even gave us a few belly laughs that helped create gorgeous pictures and a fun atmosphere. I found Rising Star Photography on The Knot, and was sold after looking at the photos. When contacting Darren, he had a very quick response time as well as providing me with all the information I needed. We met in person and Darren showed us his beautiful work from other weddings. After this informative and comforting conversation, we knew he was the perfect fit for our wedding. Weeks before the wedding, Darren reached out to us and we had a final meeting where we discussed our timeline, what kind of photos we wanted to get, and what to expect. I was extremely stressed about my timeline going into this meeting, but after talking with Darren I felt like a million bricks were lifted off of my shoulders. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed having Darren and Erin be apart of our special day. I was in awe when we received our photo gallery (which was delivered in about 3 weeks time, INCREDIBLE!). Every special moment and feeling of our wedding was captured in the gallery. We had Darren and Sarah photograph our wedding day and they did a fantastic job! We met with Darren a couple months before our wedding. He was a huge asset in helping us plan and prepare our wedding day schedule. Darren recommended a beautiful park that was nearby our venue to take pictures. They focused on scenery as the backdrop and lighting and not a standard plan of shots. Their flexibility to adapt to my wife and my preferences made our photo shoot stress free and enjoyable. Sarah and Darren wanted our pictures to reflect us and had such a good energy. I can feel the love when I look back at our pictures. We would highly recommend both of them for your photography needs.

I cannot recommend Darren and Erin enough! Darren was incredibly easy to work with in the planning stages and always accommodating with my very hectic schedule. He had never ending ideas about the timeline, locations, specific shots, other vendors, etc- seemingly an endless supply of wedding knowledge. Our photos came out better than I could have ever imagined, bright and vibrant just as I wanted. To say Darren did a great job with our photos would be an understatement, he truly went above and beyond with our engagement photoshoot. He went out of his way to make sure we not only looked great, but felt comfortable in the various poses, and he made sure our personalities translated through to the pictures! The sites Darren selected for our session were also incredible and provided our finished images with beautiful backgrounds. He also was extremely knowledgeable in terms of lighting, and flawlessly timed our photos with the sun setting. I also have to say, throughout the entire shoot, he genuinely made it fun and enjoyable! The three of us were happy as could be the entire time. We also appreciated his attention to detail in editing the images. He noticed all the fine details my untrained eye would not have picked up on, which is simply another reason his work stands out. To summarize, we highly recommend his services as he is highly enthusiastic about his work which results in beautiful photography!

Rising Star (Darren and Erin) were the absolute best! I am still so impressed by their service and how special they made our wedding day. We had a 20 person bridal party and every person said it was the most fun photographer crew. They kept everyone engaged, made some friends and captured amazing photos! They held meetings with us multiple times on the schedule and accommodated all requests/questions. They will continue to be our photographers as our family grows with major life events. If you want the long version: I met Darren and Erin in 2019 at the IX Center wedding show. I locked eyes with Erin while being in a state of sheer exhaustion from the overwhelming wedding show and feeling defeated because I wasn’t finding any vendors that I felt good about. Once I started talking to Erin my experience there changed as she was able to give me a rundown of how they operated in such a relaxed way without being pushy at all. I knew right then that I wanted them to be our photographers. My husband, Sam, and I ended up scheduling our first meeting with Darren and Erin to see if we would book them, but again, I already knew I was going to and I knew I didn’t even need to consult with any other photographers! While Sam, Erin and I were at the first meeting we learned that Darren got into a car accident on his way to us. Erin was able to continue to be so professional and calm and talked us through wedding details. Then Darren actually ended up still coming to our meeting after the car accident and it was like nothing happened! He gave us so much of his time going over so many details of how they operated, examples of his work, and what we should expect on the wedding day from them. Our first wedding date was scheduled in September 2020 and we had to make the hard decision to postpone due to the pandemic. I knew I still had to have them be my photographers and luckily they had a date available in October 2021. Throughout the years of waiting until we could finally get married Darren would regularly check in with us to see how things were going or if we had any questions. Finally it was 2021 and we got to schedule our wedding day preparation meeting with Darren at the location where we wanted our first look photos to be taken. Again, Darren spent so much time with us going over the wedding details which included the timeline, previewing the first look spot, reviewing our family details and any pictures we wanted to be taken. Darren also had such good ideas about wedding day details and is such a good resource. He ended up telling us about a beautiful local nature preservation area that we could do as another photo shoot location on the wedding day. We ended up booking that location and loved it and got so many good wedding party shots. On the wedding day Darren and Erin were spectacular: on time, organized, funny, kept us on schedule and were so personable that our entire wedding party and family members felt very at ease being around them and having their pictures taken. They also made us feel very comfortable during our first look photos and took it very slow and allowed us to be in the moment and I really did feel like it was just me and Sam even though they were right there taking pictures. The first look location was where Sam and I grew up together and it was great that it was just the four of us getting some amazing pictures that we will cherish forever. Darren and Erin also stayed late at our reception and got so many good action shots of the wedding guests while we were all dancing. Once the wedding day is over, Darren will have your pictures available for you on his website and it couldn't be simpler and you actually get ALL of your pictures released to you that you can download yourself. Overall, we don't have one single grumble. We are going to absolutely have Darren take future family photos! :)

We can not praise Darren and Erin enough, their talent is astounding. My husband and I were very nervous to be in front of the camera on our big day. Darren suggested that we start with an engagement session and by the end of it, Darren and Erin had us feeling comfortable in front of the camera, plus they were so much fun to be around. Our engagement photos were amazing! Darren kept in contact with us leading up to the big day, including a meeting prior to the big day to iron out all details. On the wedding day, they were there early, dressed professional, and had a plan in place for capturing the big moments of the day. They kept us on time and organized. Every photo that we asked for was taken and they even got some amazing outside photos by moonlight. Our guests were coming to us complementing them and how many photos they were taking. When we got our photos back, we could not have been happier with how they turned out. Our only problem was there are so many that we love, it is hard to decide on ones to print! They will be our photographer for future adventures and we have been sharing their names to future bride and grooms!

We cannot speak highly enough of Darren and Erin! From our first conversation over the phone, we could tell that Rising Star was the way to go. They were actually the first photographer we spoke with, but we knew that we'd be comparing everyone else to them! Darren met with us to plan out the details of the day and really make the most of our time together without overshadowing the other awesome stuff happening during the wedding. We had an itinerary together and knew exactly when the wedding party needed to arrive and be around to grab pictures. He and Erin also went way above and beyond by taking pictures of the bridal party getting ready around 11am and staying all the way through 11pm when the reception ended. Logistically, they were seamless, 100% reliable, and super efficient. But that's not even the best part! Darren and Erin bring so much fun, enjoyment, and comfort into their work. We took a bunch of pictures before the first look, so there were definitely some nerves at play. They had everyone laughing within the first shot though, and they really played on the goofiness of our families. They were open to silly picture ideas and just really got everyone excited about the pictures, and that comes through so strongly within the final gallery. Darren and Erin didn't just capture moments, they captured genuine emotions. They made it so easy to be ourselves and just have a good time! There was no stuffiness, no strictness, just fun! Looking back on the pictures now, it's like you can relive the day due to the feelings that they captured. Our wedding also wasn't the most traditional (and we had a total of 20 people in our wedding party), but Darren and Erin totally rolled with it. We were going for "not your average wedding" and they absolutely contributed to the vibe. We can't thank Darren and Erin enough for their incredible work and ability to get people involved. Their communication was also great the entire time, and there was never a moment when we weren't on the same page or had any doubts about their awesome work. Darren & Erin with Rising Star Photography were absolutely phenomenal to work with. From the second we met them at the bridal show, to receiving our pictures after the wedding they have been nothing but kind and helpful! Not only are their personalities easy-going and fun, their work speaks for itself. Darren and Erin of Rising Star Photography were easily our favorite vendors at our August 2021 wedding!! They were professional, punctual, and an overall pleasure to work with. Darren quickly responds to texts and emails and offered suggestions to both get the most out of our photographs and to get the most out of our wedding day. He helped to streamline the wedding day timeline and kept us updated via text with Ohio's changing COVID policies throughout the year. Words cannot express how much my husband and I are thankful to Darren and Erin. Communication was amazing. It was obvious that they were pros and knew what they were doing. Their attitudes kept the laughs flowing and smiles coming easily, even after hours of pictures. Erin even helped my mom bustle my dress and put on my necklace when we were struggling. My husband Jim and I stumbled across Darren and Erin working their magic at a friends wedding where Jim was a groomsman. After seeing the pictures, I instantly knew I needed to hire them for my wedding that following year. As I got married in Oct 2020 (COVID bride), Darren made the planning process so easy as we could not meet in person. They made my wedding party feel so comfortable while be photographed which meant the world to me. If you are looking for a photographer who will go above and beyond to make sure you get the most important poses and captures all the special moments of the day. I HIGHLY recommend Darren and Erin!

Planning a wedding in a pandemic is not the easiest endeavor, but Darren and Erin helped make photographs such a simple part of our day, freeing up our mental bandwidth to focus on other things, like actually getting married. Darren and Erin, in addition to having names that rhyme, are super personable and professional. We had friends and family ask if Darren and Erin were friends or relatives with the great rapport we had built up. We had a great time during the actual photo shoots, and Darren and Erin helped it to be fun. They did a great job of preparing and helping us to prepare for what to expect on our day to help keep things moving and seamless. Although we had a limited reception this year, next year we are planning a larger reception and are excited to work with Rising Star Photography again.

I cannot recommend Rising Star Photography enough! Erin and Mackenzie were our photographers (as Darren was shooting a family wedding the same day), and Darren was our editor. The entire Rising Star team has been so wonderful and we loved working with them! They were very helpful and  accommodating when we had to reschedule our original 2020 wedding date to 2021. *Darren/Rising Star was the only one of our vendors who called me instead of the other way around when covid was first happening and we had to figure out how to proceed, which was very thoughtful and greatly appreciated.* Erin was our main photographer day of and she worked so hard to make sure everything went smoothly and did such an amazing job (all while making it look easy)! She had the best advice and ideas, and helped make our day so stress free and fun! We absolutely loved working with her, as well as with Mackenzie. (Our families and bridal party all loved them as well!) We received over 600 photos in both color and black and white and they are all STUNNING. We are so happy with how the photos turned out and will cherish them forever. We have also received so many compliments on the photos from friends and family. We also love that we and our friends/family are able to easily download all of the photos without any watermarks or charges. Once again, I cannot recommend Rising Star Photography enough. The entire team is extremely genuine and great at what they do, which is the perfect combination. I also want to mention that I think their prices are very reasonable compared to other photographers, especially when you consider the high quality and extremely personal touch of service we received leading up to our wedding and on our wedding day, as well as the quantity/quality of the pictures received. You will not be disappointed if you book them, they are one of the main reasons our wedding day turned out to be absolutely perfect!!

Darren and Erin are hands down the best of the best. If we could give them 10 stars on everything we definitely would!!! They are so professional, but ensure that everyone is having a great time. My father in law said it best “a true class act”. We met Darren a week before the world shut down with the pandemic. He kept in contact, gave advice, but most importantly was a friend. We made the decision to postpone our reception, but still have our ceremony on our original date. They made it work with their schedule to be there for us. On our wedding day there was transportation issues and Darren and Erin took it upon themselves to drive us back after our second location....who else would do that?! This team is incredible. When we got our photo link we were absolutely blown away! The photos capture not only our day perfectly, but our personalities. Love shines through them. If we had to go back and pick a photographer again, we’d pick them HANDS DOWN. Our wedding was the best day of our life. We could not be happier with our experience with Rising Star Photography. We knew Darren was the perfect choice as soon as we left our first meeting with him- so much so that we didn't even bother continuing to meet with other photographers. Our gut was right because everything about our day went perfect in a year when nothing else was and I attribute so much of that to Darren and Erin. Darren offered so much helpful advice from thoughts about videographers to navigating several change in plans due to COVID. The day of photos with our families (which are both quite large) went so smoothly and we ended up with photographs that we absolutely adore. Two reviews here, one from myself and one from my mother. There is really only one word needed to describe the experience of using Rising Star Photography: effortless. I was blown away by how thorough, professional, fun, and easy my entire experience was with Rising Star Photography. I booked my date over a year in advance, long before I had any concrete details of my wedding day planned out. Darren was so helpful and even sent me a suggested wedding day timeline based on his experience with other couples, something that I came to rely on when making plans with other vendors. My husband and I did not get the chance to meet Darren prior to the wedding, but I knew immediately upon our phone call that everything would be perfect. Darren took the time to get to know us, make thoughtful notes about our families (names, relationships, preferred group photos, etc.), and explain every detail of his and Erin's roles during the event. On the day of our wedding, I was shocked by how efficiently (and joyfully) Darren and Erin were able to pose, snap, and re-pose every single member of the families and wedding party. In addition, they frequently referred to the folder of "inspiration" photos I had given them before the wedding and made sure to capture every single one. Many of our guests commented on how lovely, entertaining, and professional the photographers were throughout the night, and I have to agree. Even my husband, who despises having his photo taken, had an absolutely wonderful time and felt so relaxed with these photographers. Darren and Erin were worth every single penny for the experience we had! We had met them at my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding and KNEW we had to have them be the photographers for our wedding! They made our wedding day so special for us. Not only did they capture the love in every single photo, they helped my husband and I throughout every step of our wedding planning process. I found Rising Star Photography back in 2016 at the Michaud's Bridal Show when my sister was engaged. We approached their booth, and they were the friendliest, most outgoing photographers at the show. My sister immediately booked them for her wedding. My sister got married October of 2017, and I knew the night of her wedding that I would be hiring Rising Star Photography for my future wedding. The bridal party had so much fun with Darren and his team, and you could tell they were having a blast also. Less than a year later, I got engaged and called Darren immediately to book him for my wedding date. My husband and I were set to be married March 28th, 2020. Exactly three weeks before our wedding, our venue caught on fire. Darren and his team immediately offered his assistance to help us find a new venue in such a short amount of time. A week later we planned another reception at a different venue, but that venue ended up falling through. Again Darren was there to help us find another venue. He reassured me everything would work out, and our wedding day would still be perfect (and in the end he was right). We found the the final venue and planned our third reception. It was nice working with him as we planned all three receptions because, he had experience at all three venues we chose. Not even a couple days later everything was shut down due to Covid-19, therefore my husband and I made the decision to postpone. Darren was there for us every step of the way. Throughout our entire engagement, chaos of the fire, and chaos of the virus he remained professional, supportive, and felt like a friend who just wanted the best for my husband and I. At the end of April I reached out to Darren because my husband and I decided we did not want to plan a fourth wedding. I asked Darren if him and his team would be able to take photos of our church ceremony than do portraits afterwards. I remember telling my husband if Darren cannot come take photos of our wedding, I do not want to get married yet. At that point I had already given up our dream wedding, I was not about to give up the beautiful photos I knew Darren and his team would capture. Thankfully, Darren and Erin were able to come take photos for our very intimate church ceremony with just our immediate families on May 9th. Although our wedding day only lasted a couple hours, we still got hundreds of photos from our special day. Our wedding was not a “normal” due to Covid-19, but Darren and Erin still made us feel so special and made sure we had an amazing day. I am so thankful they were able to take our engagement photos, wedding photos. I will forever cherish all of the amazing photos and memories they captured during these very tough times.
