Rist Canyon Inn - Weddings & Celebrations (100 Guests Max) is an intimate wedding venue in Laporte, CO. Nestled on a private, 20-acre farm, this space boasts a modern, down-to-earth aesthetic while paying homage to its historical roots. With its picturesque views, lush surroundings, and welcoming accommodations, the farmhouse makes for a one-of-a-kind setting to create your dream event.
Originally built in 1896, Rist Canyon Inn was carefully renovated and restored to celebrate its rich past while adorning elegant touches. The original 120 year old farmhouse, has since been turned into a luxurious accommodation for couples and their wedding party. You and your loved ones can feel right at home with the quartz fireplace, elegant bedrooms, and full kitchen. For your ceremony, up to 100 guests can be seated on the handmade custom benches leading to your altar. The eight acres of flourishing land and picturesque view of the Front Range Mountains will be your natural backdrop when you exchange your vows. Split-rail fences, foot bridges, and a team of horses are also present for breathtaking photo sessions. If you prefer an indoor ceremony, the Bellevue Event Hall offers 1,865 square feet of reception space for you to dance the night away. Modern chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and expansive windows and glass doors surround the space, for you to enjoy the tranquil landscape. For overnight stays, the rustic White Pine Cabin, which has picturesque views of the lush pastures right from the patio.
The team behind Rist Canyon Inn will work closely with you, to ensure your big day exceeds your expectations. Some of the packages they offer include event coordination, A/V equipment, and various rentals to complete your setting. Bartenders and servers will also be present, to make sure you and your guests’ needs are properly cared for.

Not long ago, we lived in this 1896 farmhouse on twenty scenic acres, and began to feel that the natural beauty of the place would be better shared. Repurposing our site for weddings and lodging would provide a strong connection to community. The idea of rustic and refined kept coming up, so this theme became the focus. For several years, we have ruminated, designed, worked with architects and engineers, to ensure a facility built to the highest aesthetic and technical standards. Rist Canyon Inn has been an incredibly rewarding endeavor, and we look forward to sharing our property with you!

s beautiful and well kept, the reception area was perfect for entertaining our 80 guests, and the accommodations in the farmhouse and cottage were beyond expectations for our wedding party. Allan and Emily were always responsive and helpful throughout the preparation process, and Allan was there on our wedding day to help in any way possible. The DJ Lite service offered was well worth it, and Jill Smith made all of our music and mics sound great. Amie Ingram, the wedding coordinator contracted through the venue, was incredible, and we used RCI's preferred vendor list for our photographer and caterer, which were all amazing. Choosing this venue made our day all the more special, and I can't thank Allan, Emily, Amie, and Jill enough for being part of our wedding.

pasture views, yet is only about 15 minutes from Old Town Fort Collins, which was exactly the combination we wanted to show our guests. Allan and Emily were the absolute best at all stages of the wedding planning process—not only in coordinating the venue but also in so many other aspects—they drove the shuttle buses, set up the greenery and lighting, prepped the ceremony field and arch, and so much more, all while making us feel incredibly supported. Our guests were in absolute awe at the care taken in all aspects of the venue, from the state-of-the-art reception hall, to the getting-ready houses, to the large planters filled with fresh flowers, to the airstream that functioned as a photobooth all night long. Allan and Emily provided us with so many resources to consider, such as a recommended vendor list, many of whom we used and also loved. They also have an entire vintage furniture selection for couples who may want to choose from those offerings, along with a bunch of rainy day supplies (e.g., clear umbrellas) to make wedding days as stress-free as possible, and stress-free it was. Rist Canyon was and remained the best initial decision we could have ever made for our wedding experience, and we would recommend it to all other couples. Allan and Emily are so kind and yet the epitome of efficiency and professionalism, and we’ll so miss working with them!

The space at Rist is absolutely beautiful, and really captured our vision for our wedding. ful with plenty of space (we had about 75 guests). The farmhouse was perfect for the bridal party to get together in. It ended up raining on our wedding day but they had towels and umbrellas for the guests ready to go for us to still hold the ceremony outside. They were quick to move our cocktail hour inside and couldn't have responded to the situation better. We were stressed about it but everything went as smooth as it could have! I didn't even notice most of the logistical things that were happening around me because it was all so smooth and unobtrusive. It stopped raining eventually so everyone could enjoy the outside grounds, which are beautiful. We were going for a bit of a "mountain vibe" but wanted a location that was easily accessible for our guests, and RCI was perfect (most guests stayed in Ft Collins). Their preferred vendor list also helped us in deciding on other vendors, and the day of coordinator they set us up with was AMAZING and we ended up hiring her as a full-on wedding planner. (shout-out to Dana!) All in all, a wonderful experience. Thank you so much, RCI! (Also worth noting that they are very LGBT-friendly!)

Their wedding coordinator, Amie, was a lifesaver about seventy different times throughout the planning process and day-of. The venue itself is breathtaking: it's the perfect balance of natural wild beauty and subtle elegant touches. I loved that it didn't feel cookie-cutter or like a packaged deal; we got to make it our own and truly feel like the space was ours. The venue itself is a stunner, with a simple ceremony backdrop against the foothills, charming spaces to get ready, and a gorgeous and thoughtfully designed reception hall. We loved the indoor/outdoor vibe of RCI and that it was rustic without being over the top. Another perk was getting to hire our own vendors, even though we did choose multiple vendors from RCI's preferred list.
The sound restrictions at the venue were a bit of a bummer for us because we couldn't have a live band that would give us the experience we wanted (no percussion), but we understand this is from the perspective of being a good neighbor and still had a great time with our DJ. Thank you Emily and Allan!

Rist Canyon Inn and its owners, Allan and Emily, are more than we could have ever asked for or expected out of a venue. They allowed us to have the intimate, non cookie-cutter wedding we dreamed of. Allan and Emily provided us with recommended vendors that did not disappoint, worked with us to conquer hurdles that popped up during the planning process, and were responsive to all of our questions and needs.
Run, don’t walk, to visit this venue. Just know that if you visit, you will not be able to say no to booking with them. The second you hit the gravel driveway you will be blown away with the overwhelming feeling that you want to move into the farmhouse. You will then meet Allan and Emily and will want to make them part of your family. Visiting is a euphoric feeling that, I can honestly say, does not go away no matter how many times you visit. This place is a dream. Working with Allan and Emily was just icing on the cake. Allan and Emily, thank you for everything!

de this lovely place so picture perfect for our June 2021 wedding. It has a creek running through it, the foothills behind it, and plenty acres for pretty backdrops around every turn. Being tucked enough off the road for no road noise to hear, its a self-contained, private, and stunning place. We could stay all in one place to have our special, less than 100-person ceremony and fun, delightful reception. And, there was plenty of room for our large wedding party - practically 20 of us - to hangout comfortably all day getting ready and leading up to the big evening. The indoor spaces and outdoor places at this venue are so aesthetically pleasing - from rustic, farmhouse, and vintage, to industrial and modern, its a beautiful blend with lush greenery, and dreamy lighting. Alan's one-of-a-kind lighting design in the event hall, and the nostalgia string lights in the lawn, made the whole atmosphere delightful. For communication, planning, and support, Alan and Emily Leibow, the owners, were only a quick email or phone call away. And, before the wedding and on the day of, Alan was very hospitable, by showing us around the grounds, sharing with us best practices learned from other couples, and being very approachable the day of for any questions; he also was a helping hand a lot of the time. Their staff is warm and welcoming, and looking back at all our photos, we sure are grateful to have been wed in such a down-to-earth, pretty, and happy place.

The lush meadow was a beautiful ceremony spot. The ladies loved getting ready in the restored farmhouse, which made a great backdrop for getting ready pictures. But the star of the show was the stunning reception hall. Allen has done incredible work with the lighting and the entire space is gorgeous. My husband and I slept in the cabin on the night of the wedding and it was so comfortable and convenient. Emily and Allen truly pay attention to every detail and it shows in the quality of this venue. I would highly recommend this venue to everyone!

We also rented the farmhouse the night before our wedding and it was a lovely place to stay, and it was so convenient to be at the venue the morning of. I will never forget getting ready in the farmhouse with my best friends and family, looking out the window to see everyone I loved gathered in the beautiful meadow, and walking out beneath the gorgeous skyline of the foothills. eel as if I had been transported to a dreamland, which is a great feeling for your wedding day😊 I wanted to get married outside but still have private areas to get ready and have a brunch the morning of the wedding. The field, reception hall, and farmhouse offer the convenience of having everything in the same location, while still allowing you to tailor different experiences throughout the day. You can rent the farmhouse overnight, which we did, and I also highly recommend. The owners Emily and Alan perfectly merge professionalism and warmth. They make you feel like you are working with good friends that also happen to be event experts and owners of the prettiest venue around. They are easy to work with, incredibly responsive, and helpful. Our families all live far away, and we had a tight timeline, so having people like them throughout the planning process was great. They showed attention to detail to both the venue and us as clients. They have extensive knowledge about vendors and offered a special touch at every turn.

was exactly what we were looking for; beautiful outdoor views, interment indoor setting for dinner (great lighting), good space for cocktail hour and yard games, and an overall great space for photos. Allan and Emily were also very accommodating as we had to move our date from 2020 due to Covid. They made us feel very welcome at the venue and their attention to detail throughout the entire property made a big difference for our wedding. Our wedding day was a huge success and Rist Canyon Inn was definitely a large part of that! Thank you, Allan and Emily!!

Originally, this wasn’t the venue we had chosen, but due to the wildfires, we had to change everything around in a weeks notice and everything fell into place so perfectly here; it was meant to be and the wedding venue of my dreams. Allan and Emily were so accommodating and great to work with. They made the transition so smooth. I can’t recommend this venue enough.

could not be happier to of chosen Rist Canyon Inn. Allan was a delight to work with and so peaceful and accommodating. They truly do want to make your day as perfect as possible- especially during these crazy times with covid guidelines. Not only was their land absolutely gorgeous but it felt homey and inviting as well. Oh and not to mention super clean and well kept!
Needless to say we are blessed to have had our wedding here and wouldn’t of wanted it any other way!

an were so flexible with us as we tried to decide what our wedding would look like during COVID. We ended up with around 40 guests and it was perfect. We also decided to rent the farmhouse both the night before and the night of our wedding, which really enhanced the experience, and we would recommend this to any couple planning to get married there. We were able to spend the entire day there with our bridal party and it was such a stress-free experience. Very happy with how our wedding turned out!

I have sent tons of emails every week throughout the planning process and have gotten extremely helpful and prompt responses. I recommend this venue not only for the beauty, uniqueness and charm, but for the owners who I am so grateful to work with. They have made this experience truly stress less in such a stressful time.

the brand new fully redone barn turned reception hall. The bridal house where my girls and I got ready was also unbelievably gorgeous and offered many photo ops and a bidet that I wasn’t brave Enough to try but still really cool! Between Pink Diamond Events day of coordinator Jen Koerlin, the on-site staff and the owners themselves it couldn’t have gone any smoother. They helped with so many little things that I had not even thought of and kept us on track and at ease! Truly a rare case where they heavily promised yet still overdelivered. Our heart felt thank you goes out to Jen, Allen and Emily, and all the Rist Canyon staff for making it a day we will never forget!

ly, have gone above and beyond in making this place the most beautiful venue in Colorado. We loved everything about this venue- getting ready in the farmhouse, the groom’s cabin, the beautiful outdoor ceremony area, and the reception hall. The location is breathtaking, secluded, and so romantic with views of the mountains. Rist Canyon Inn was absolutely amazing not only on the day of, but throughout the entire planning process. Allan and Emily answered all of our questions and made us feel so comfortable and taken care of. We will be forever thankful for all of the memories we have here!

shoot there came up, it was a no brainer! The property is stunning--from the serene outdoor spaces to the gorgeous light-filled event hall, it is a truly welcome addition to Northern Colorado. Beyond the picturesque setting and beautiful designed spaces, the owner, Allan, is professional, personable, and a joy to work with. While I haven't had the opportunity to witness a real wedding there, I'd be thrilled if any of my couples considered RCI for their big day!

The reception hall, house, suite, and ceremony location are exactly what Fort Collins was missing - it has a bit of everything from nature, to historic and vintage, to modern rustic. I completely understand the unique venture that Allan and his wife have undertaken with this venue. Their attention to detail, quality, perfection, and the comfort of their guests is paramount. From the exquisite lighting to the imported tiles, antiques used to fashion sinks and counters, carefully selected materials to enhance the natural elegance of this vintage property.
It is such a pleasure to see the past revisited in a way that brings modern amenities and state-of-the-art features to a venue that captures the essence of days gone by. d everyone was able to enjoy the beauty that Colorado has to offer. With cool fall evenings the indoor/outdoor space of the reception hall was perfect. Our guests got to enjoy the comfort of the indoor space with still having the views and feeling of being outdoors.
I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in Colorado. I looked at so many venues that just throw a tent in a field and call it good. Not at Rist Canyon Inn; no detail was left unturned. The Ceremony site has beautiful views, the bridal suite and grooms quarters are wonderful. Cocktail hour has plenty of space, and reception hall is immaculate. What I loved most of all was that everything was able to be customized to my vision. Several different ceremony sites to pick from, cocktail hour could be held in different areas as well. We were given the entire site to make our wedding what we wanted. Not to mention the photographer loved all the details (air-stream trailer, wooded areas, streams, horses etc.) around the site for unique shots.
The staff was so great about making all my dreams come to life for my big day. They took my ideas and made them come to life. They have great relationships with all the local vendors and helped me with planning everything along the way. They care so much about their customers, you couldn't ask for more from the owner and the coordination team.

The coordinators made us feel like family and not 'just another wedding' and were so helpful and kind. This place makes for beautiful photos and amazing memories!
