restaurant Ball Pine has breathtaking views for all your dining needs. If you want a fulfilling workout with a view, the gym has to be one of the nicest I’ve been to at a hotel in a long time. The icing on the cake, is the enclosed rooftop pool! Honestly, just sitting in there listening to the water and warming up from a cold day with a picturesque view of the entire city makes this one’s of the most unique amenities of any hotel in this area. Having stayed at several Ritz-Carlton properties overseas, I noticed a noticeable difference, particularly in the Club Lounge. The food offerings there felt somewhat limited and mediocre compared to the wide variety and quality I’ve experienced internationally. One standout example for me is the Ritz-Carlton in Bangkok, where the service felt exceptionally attentive and personalized. The team regularly checked in via the Bonvoy app and ensured every detail was taken care of, elevating the entire stay.
Overall, the Portland location is a beautiful hotel. Still, with more consistent service and improved dining, especially in the Club Lounge, it could better reflect the world-class standard I associate with the Ritz-Carlton brand.
