My (now husband) and I went to see her for a cake testing session and I gave her 2 pics of 2 different cakes. I told her I was wanting a bit from each pic.
Due to covid, we had to postpone the wedding until this year (2022), but the deposit was forwarded to the new date with no problems and anytime I e-mailed her with questions or concerns she responded as quickly as she could.
Skip ahead to the months leading up (this year) to the wedding, I e-mailed Heather with updates and questions and I answered all of hers.
Skip to wedding day...I had not spoken to her or seen her nor had I seen pics of the cake. I was getting ready with my girls and I remember thinking as I was about to walk down the isle "Omg, is the cake here? and how does it look".
We started our first dance after the ceremony and I looked over his shoulder and almost fell out. I saw the cake and it was beyond gorgeous and beyond words. Heather took my imagination and turned into reality and there it was in front of me. The cake itself was soft and tasted so good. We had both red velvet and vanilla layers.
If you need someone with skills, with a wonderful personality and someone to make to your perfect dream cake, call Heather. You will be so happy you did! She stays in contact with you and asks questions in order to make sure your cake and day are perfect.
What a great job. The tasting was great, our cake waaperfect. Even sensitive to our need for gluten free cupcakes.

nd to visit with my guests to find they each had multiple pieces of cake in from of them. Everyone wanted to try more than one flavor and some people ate all five (chocolate with peanut butter buttercream, almond with raspberry and vanilla buttercream, cookies and cream with white chocolate buttercream, red velvet with cream cheese buttercream and lemon with lemon buttercream)! Best of all, River City Sweets was able to stay within my budget while delivering a showstopping cake. So many of our guests commented on the cake - I couldn't be happier!
