River Falls Venue & Lodges

This place is a Bed and Breakfast and event center. We ended up renting out the entire place (two B&B houses and big event center) for a four day weekend for about $4,000. There are two B&B houses, a bigger one with three bedrooms and a smaller one with two bedrooms. We ended up having all the wedding party folks in the small house and the bride's family in the main house. It was an absolutely gorgeous view of the canyon to wake up to! We had fun swimming in the lake there, hiking the canyon, and hanging out at the really nicely "Texan" furnished houses. They also have two event centers; a smaller one by the main house and a bigger, newer one. We chose the bigger event center due to our wedding size; and it is about 75' x 50' inside and a huge patio on the outside so hundreds of people can fit comfortably. The smaller venue is very small and could probably only fit about 50 people seated and definitely no indoor dance floor. However; it has the best canyon view. I know others have used the wrap-around covered porch on the outside of the main house to set tables and use their big concrete patio to host their reception dance. That would be a beautiful spot as well. The B&B was just changing ownership when we arrived; so things weren't as smooth as they could have gone, but I'm sure that will be worked out shortly. We had an issue with the gate to the development not opening so we had to call and get a code for our wedding guests to use the day of the wedding, which was a slight delay. However; we could decorate however we chose as long as not to damage the walls and they provided the tables and chairs for us (although didn't have many long tables so we had to rent a few of those). Otherwise we could have candles and anyone could cater. Overall, great venue, a little pricier, but can't beat the gorgeous backdrop of the canyon.
