We couldn’t be happier that we chose River Forest Country Club (RFCC) for our 6/7/25 wedding! My husband’s family had known of the venue for years, but when we toured, we were blown away. The grounds are stunning; we had our ceremony outdoors, cocktail hour on the covered balcony patio, and the reception indoors. While there was a solid rain plan as backup, we were lucky with perfect weather, and it made for the most beautiful setting for all of our wedding photos (all taken right on-site, which made the day so easy). The food was delicious and so many of our guests raved about both the meal and the beauty of the venue. We also appreciated how stress-free RFCC made things by including so much in their package: food, drinks, linens, even the cake through a partner bakery. We also elected to add-on a late night snack offering for our guests, which RFCC handled as well. There were no hidden fees or surprise upcharges, which gave us peace of mind from the start. We also loved having a private room for the bridesmaids for hair & makeup, as well as a room for the groomsmen to hang out in between pictures. From our very first tour, it was clear that Marsela is exceptional at what she does. She’s professional, knowledgeable, and always quick to answer any question. She made the planning process truly seamless, from running the rehearsal ceremony to personally setting up our small décor items the morning of the wedding. Her efforts were noticed and appreciated not just by us, but also by our family and bridal party. Our wedding day at RFCC was everything we hoped it would be, and we are so grateful to Marsela and the entire staff for making it so special. Highly recommend this venue—it’s a gem!

they would be able to accommodate us during our preferred timeline when we got engaged. I was so pleased to learn that RFCC did have availability when we began our search and after meeting Marsela, the AMAZING coordinator at RFCC, we knew immediately we wanted to book our wedding there. First, let me start with Marsela who is an exceptional coordinator. She takes her job very seriously and the attention to detail in our wedding was all thanks to her. Working with her during the months leading up to the wedding were fun, easy, and stress-free. Marsela made our day run smoothly and beautifully, I cannot thank her enough for this. In addition, Marsela recommended some of our vendors to us and was an extremely knowledgeable resource during this time. Any question I had Marsela could answer it quickly to help me make decisions for the wedding. If you are able to work with Marsela I promise you will not be disappointed. Now, onto the grounds, facilities, food, and service. RFCC is a beautiful place. You are right off of busy Grand Ave but tucked into a beautiful green area, it feels like a storybook. Everything in the presentation of the wedding was fantastic from the outdoor cocktail hour on the lawn to the wonderful dinner and flowing drinks during dancing. The facilities are so clean and pristine, you and your guests will feel like you are at a five-star venue not another run of the mill banquet hall. The food was phenomenal and we heard from so many guests that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. This all thanks to the amazing chef that they have on site...remember this is not just a wedding venue but a fantastic Country Club that serves members daily, RFCC's standards are top-notch. All of the servers, bartenders, and staff at RFCC were fantastic and made our wedding reception run perfectly. I cannot thank each of them enough. Another perk of RFCC, especially during COVID times, was that there was no minimum spend (beyond the deposit), so if we ended up with 12 guests or 200, we paid for who was there. You also do not have to submit your final count until just before the wedding (72 hours), which helped save us some money since we had a few guests back out the week of the wedding. In addition, you are the only wedding at RFCC that day. I know some banquet halls/wedding venues may have multiple weddings going on at a time but not at RFCC. This made it feel quite special and was nice not to be "competing" with any other weddings. RFCC also includes so much in what you get, they printed all the menus, place cards, set up all of our items and cleaned everything up at the end of the night. It really makes it so easy for the bride, groom, and their families to enjoy the wedding instead of worrying about small (or big) details) In short, if you are looking to have an AMAZING wedding and work with EXCEPTIONAL staff (including the phenomenal Marsela) please look no further than River Forest Country Club. I cannot recommend them enough and promise you will be just as pleased with your experience.

Our wedding at RFCC was heaven and Marsela was our guardian angel. I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. The grounds are stunning and the trees are simply gorgeous...

. As soon as you turn off the road, you are surrounded by beautiful trees, the perfect backdrop for a wedding. Marsela has several outdoor spots to suggest for all your wedding needs from first look, photos and ceremony, to cocktail hour and reception. Marsela was so kind, genuine and extraordinarily knowledgeable. She told us she had it handled and she really, truly did. Even though our wedding was small, she treated us like we were her most important clients -- which we probably were not because she works several weddings each weekend! She was a class act through and through from menu selection to choosing our areas, supervising the whole event, making sure all the details were taken care of. I had no worries on my wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, she sent photos of other weddings for inspiration, was always available for my many questions and was also super kind. After the wedding, she's kept in touch and just expressed such happiness for us. She's so great! Why should you choose RFCC? We originally planned a larger wedding in downtown Chicago -- it was going to be all about the city. Our venue cancelled our wedding with two months to go and we scrambled to re-plan everything amid COVID. We never envisioned something outdoors in the suburbs but it was PERFECT, how our wedding was always meant to be, truly. Our ceremony space was beautiful, our reception on the outdoor terrace was romantic and fun. We also had a very large room to use for our bridal party to get ready. Food was great and service was excellent. No vendor restrictions, no overly burdensome and limiting contract. Working with RFCC on a wedding was so simple. It was the perfect day. A COVID Note I'll add that things were trending in a positive direction during our wedding in September but RFCC took COVID very seriously. All staff were masked, sanitizers and temperature checks, plus new cleaning procedures -- the works. It was a great place for a COVID wedding because you can do a lot of it outdoors or with a lot of ventilation. We had a 24 person guest count.

utiful grounds and Grand Ball Room were what initially grabbed our attention. Then we met Marsela Dine, the Assistant General Manager, and we were sold. She is absolutely WONDERFUL to work with! She has been kind, supportive, patient, and accommodating since we first met with her in July, 2019. She goes above and beyond, and truly makes you feel like family. The staff was amazing, never a line at the bars waiting for drinks, accommodating to people with dietary restrictions. Lastly, Marsela the wedding coordinator went above and beyond to make this day special! She added gorgeous decorations going up the stair case and in the front windows, fixed last minute things we requested, met with us numerous times, and was always accessible via text and/or email! She was absolutely amazing to work with! She too gave great opinions and advice along the way to really contribute to the special day! WONDERFUL venue 😍

c in mind and the minute we pulled into River Forest Country Club and came up the winding road I knew we had found it. The charming, quaint appearance of the country club and the grounds around it are perfect. The wedding coordinator, Hayes, was helpful, accommodating and went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect. We had met with several venues before RFCC and none of them offered the personal, dedicated touch that Hayes offered from our first meeting on. We were obviously concerned about budget being that we are not really country club people. Hayes gave us many options to help reduce cost so we could get within our budget and make the venue work. During the planning process, I reached out to her a lot for help and advice and she always steered me in the right direction. The night of the wedding, everything we had talked about was perfect. We are so happy with River Forest Country Club. As long as they keep Hayes around, I would recommend them to anyone. She is really a gem in the wedding venue coordinator profession.

en had some great ideas on what we can incorporate. Since my wedding was Harry Potter themed, we had a lot of props that we were able to place around the hall, and it looked awesome! We also were able to get a refund for the wrong bar package being served, and there wasn't a fight over it, which was great! And the food....oh my gosh...not only was it beyond delicious, they don't mess around with portion sizes! YUM!

brought us to decide on booking the RFCC. Truly a great venue and they worked with us to keep us on budget. Free valet parking, amazing food, great space = one happy bride! We didn't ask them to, but during the cocktail hour they passed beverages around so folks didn't need to wait at the bar. The appetizers were delicious and our wedding guests are still talking about it!
