attentive. They handled every detail seamlessly, even when the inevitable wedding-day surprises popped up, so we were able to stay relaxed and enjoy ourselves.
The venue itself is such a gem. Each area of the property has its own charm, which made it easy to create different moods for each part of our celebration. We held our ceremony on the lawn, the reception in the barn, and the rehearsal in the courtyard, and every setting felt intentional, unique, and absolutely beautiful. Our guests kept commenting on how stunning everything looked.
The lodging struck a perfect balance: cozy but spacious, with plenty of thoughtful rustic details that made it feel special. At the same time, we had all the essentials, well-stocked, clean, and convenient. The large kitchen made feeding our group easy, and we loved spending time together around the fireplaces, playing board games in the main room, and watching the cows graze peacefully across the fields. Pro tip: bring binoculars and take a walk down by the river, you might spot a bald eagle or two.

Now to the venue itself.
Oh. My. Goodness.
I am a girl of many words, I always have something to say about everything. To say this venue left me speechless is an understatement! From the kitchen / suite house to each individual bedroom (there are 11 and they are all individually air controlled) down to their very own beach front. This place is BEYOND anything we’ve ever experienced while looking for a venue. The cattle are the sweetest and have no problem showing off the babies that have been born in the beginning of the year.
The fort itself is stunning with one of if not the most beautiful barn area.
This place books fast and there is a very, very good reason for it.

To start, the venue itself is just so physically beautiful. The barn was perfect for a live band and all the dancing we wanted to do. Being able to open the beautiful barn doors was such a great touch, and the venue had so many fun outdoor elements like yard games and fire pits where we could make s’mores.
The staff was also amazing at adapting throughout the night. As it got colder, they quickly opened up more indoor space and even moved tables during the event so we had more room to dance, which we really appreciated.
During our tour and walkthrough, they showed us the entire property, and it truly is stunning. After the event, every single girl in our sorority said this was the best barn we have ever used, and we are so excited that this will hopefully be our forever barn!

“fort” building is a replica of a historic trading post, but with all the amenities a modern venue needs. The barn was a great place for the reception, and the bartenders and staff did a great job of accommodating all our needs throughout the weekend. As a bonus, we took some great walks down to the river and enjoyed a variety of bird sightings. I highly recommend this venue!
