We had a wonderful wedding at Odette’s! We got many compliments on the venue’s location off the river and the ballroom itself. It helped that we had perfect 65-degree weather, so g...uests were able to enjoy the outside patio. We did an indoor ceremony, and since the venue is very beautiful there isn’t much need to go crazy on decoration. We had candles and bud vases for the tables and some flowers for the ceremony that we re-used for the reception, great in our opinion!
We really appreciated Brianne’s patience with our many questions, which helped us feel confident booking. She was super responsive and quick to give us quotes.
Michael (our event coordinator) did a wonderful job throughout the process, responsive and open to our sometimes odd requests. If we wanted something special he really tried to make it happen; for example, we had a scoreboard behind the bar tracking bride side vs. groom side drinks, and Michael helped figure out the logistics. He also helped problem-solve when we wanted to do a big group Fireball toast before dinner. He flagged a concern about having enough glasses, so we fixed it by providing plastic cups. He truly did a great job executing so our day could feel like us. We appreciated the team effort when Sabrina (another coordinator) stepped in to answer questions while Michael was OOO.
Christine (head of banquets) did an absolutely fantastic job. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, even helping me bustle my dress, making sure we tried all the food and drinks, and leaving a dessert tray in our room. We cannot compliment her enough!
The food was great! Cocktail hour apps got compliments, especially the bacon-wrapped scallops and wagyu sliders, as did the cake and macarons. They were also accommodating with an entrée sauce change and various dietary restrictions.
Servers did a great job. Bartenders were fantastic at keeping the line moving and open to feedback. We hired an additional bartender and would recommend budgeting for this, depending on your crowd. There was a hiccup with one of our selected beers not being immediately available, but the team fixed it quickly. The bar had a line mid-reception but was great at all other times. One important note: the venue does not serve shots. We felt a little blindsided by this after booking, though coordinators were upfront about it on later calls.
Our wedding was 144 people, a good size for the space, though cocktail hour was cozy and got a little warm. One caveat: the ballroom capacity is well below 200 if you want a dance floor, and many floor plans assume maxed-out tables, which may not suit a more formal atmosphere. The restrooms also had a frequent wait at our guest count. The chairs were very comfortable!
Parking at Odette’s is not ideal, though in our case it wasn’t a big issue. Most guests were from out of town and either stayed in New Hope or used our externally arranged hotel-block transportation. Those who did park said they had no issue and the shuttle was quick.
The hotel rooms are beautiful and the included suite was spacious. The hotel itself is quite expensive, and for the price we expected dedicated bellhops and perhaps included breakfast and parking. That said, housekeeping did a great job, room service was excellent, and the reservations team was patient an helpful.
I would absolutely recommend hosting a wedding at Odette’s, but keep the guest count below 150 and think how guests will get to the venue.
