The staff was amazing , the food was insanely good and could not have asked for a better day. I fully recommend not just for weddings but a dinner cruise as well.
My husband and I got married on the River Queen over Memorial Day weekend, and it was absolutely amazing! The weather was a little sketchy leading into the day (really glad they ha...
d an indoor ceremony space just in case!) but cleared up to be just about perfect by the time the wedding was to take place. The RQ was not our first venue, though we realized afterwards that it really should have been. We had issues with our initial venue choice so only had a couple months left before our wedding date to find a new 'home'. The crew and Captains Bogan were all super helpful and really quite gracious about all of the communication that, ideally, should have been completed several months before. They even maintained their grace and composure when a very important guest was about an hour late, the downside of everyone needing to be present for the whole thing! I kept apologizing to them since we didn't want to leave without this person and they were just concerned that I/my fiance were keeping mentally cool. They helped make the event so fun that in the end we did really wish we had that hour back LOL. If you're looking for a venue with a little something extra to make your wedding special, and a place with a reasonable headcount minimum, I cannot recommend the River Queen enough! Great people, great food, great views during the cruise...you and your guests will have a wonderful time :)
The River Queen offers such a special and unique wedding venue. We worked with Sharon who was absolutely great. She was communicative and worked with me to plan the exact wedding w...
e were hoping for. A gentleman, who I believe was named Nick (sorry!), helped us the day of to ensure the wedding ran smoothly and we knew what to expect at each step. He was a real lifesaver and made me feel totally calm that day. The River Queen is a great, non traditional option that actually ends up being much more affordable than a separate venue and caterer. It even rained during our wedding but the water droplets on all the windows made the boat look extra magical. I can't wait to visit the River Queen again.

I had my rehearsal dinner on the River Belle in early October and it was an absolute blast. It was such a unique experience and I got so many compliments on it. I thought it would ...
be more fun to have the evening before the wedding be more activity based than another big meal. But as it turned out, it’s the best of both worlds! You get to glide down the river and have drinks on the deck of a charming ship. But they also do a full meal that all of my guests enjoyed. And with a guest count of 35 (their minimum) the cost was not much more than renting out backroom at a decent restaurant with meals and an open bar which boggled my mind.
I did keep the frills to a minimum though, because I wanted the evening to have a fun and relaxed vibe. There are plenty of add-ons available for a fancier affair and you could even do a full wedding on board. In keeping with the relaxed vibe I didn’t have to do much to decorate such a cool venue: A few dollar jars with sea glass and some seashells and starfish scattered on the table looked lovely. There is an ipod hook up for music as well, just make sure what you bring has a headphones jack. The team is very nice and took good care of me and my guests as well. It had a family business vibe that I loved. The more I talk about it the more I am smiling because it was just so fun, special and unique. I can’t recommend it enough!

a number of their preferred vendors. As the venue is somewhat unusual, we were glad to have people who knew the boat and were familiar with the venue. The food was wonderful. The guests appreciated the wide variety of things to do and sights to see—from chatting on the lower deck, to dancing and music on the upper deck, to standing outside and watching the scenery along the Manasquan River roll by. We saw boaters and people living along the river waving to the boat and shouting “Congratulations!” at us. The River Queen is a superb venue for a summertime wedding, and I’d highly recommend it to any of my friends and family who want a Jersey Shore wedding that’s a little different.
the staff was very helpful on our wedding day. they accommodated all our needs on the big day & before & after. After the ceremony we set sail & it was the best night ever. would ...
