General Manager
With a lifelong passion for food and hospitality, Mary brings over 21 years of industry experience to Riverhouse Cruises. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University with degrees in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management, she has held diverse roles from Event Captain to Senior Catering Sales Manager. Since joining Riverhouse in 2019 as Director of Operations, and later transitioning to General Manager in 2023, Mary has continued to deliver exceptional event experiences. Her expertise in both front and back-of-house operations ensures every event is thoughtfully planned and flawlessly executed
Noora Nickerson
Event Sales Manager
Noora brings over two decades of global hospitality experience, starting at age 14 in her native Finland. With a culinary degree and a background as both a chef and professional athlete, she’s developed a unique blend of precision, passion, and energy. Her career has taken her across Europe, working in diverse roles from Barista to Event Captain. Since moving to Connecticut in 2009, Noora has focused on private events and client experience, blending her service expertise with a personal, hands-on approach to planning unforgettable events.
Donna Michaud
Director of Operations
With decades of experience in the food and beverage industry, Donna has managed events of all sizes—from private dinners to large-scale galas. Her background includes leadership roles with top catering companies, Four Diamond hotels, private clubs, and restaurants. Donna has coordinated events for national organizations and high-profile clients, including Special Olympics Connecticut and even presidential candidates. Since joining Riverhouse Catering in 2021, she has led the Operations Team with a focus on flawless execution, exceptional service, and client satisfaction at every level.
Missy O'Brien
Event Manager
Melissa (Missy) discovered her passion for hospitality at the early age of 7, working alongside her mother—a Chef and Food Service Director—who planned large-scale events and menus for hundreds. Missy eagerly joined in, helping with décor, setup, and serving, planting the seeds for what would become a lifelong career in hospitality. Born and raised in Connecticut, Missy earned her degree in Social Work from Springfield College in Massachusetts. She spent a decade as Director of a nonprofit youth services organization, where she skillfully coordinated and executed numerous successful fundraising events. Despite the demands of her role, she always found time to bartend once a week—just for fun! Fifteen years ago, Missy made the decision to transition full-time into the hospitality industry, a move that aligned perfectly with her passion and experience. Her career path has included roles as Server, Bartender, Restaurant Manager, Banquets Manager, and Events Manager. She brings a deep understanding of operations, strong vendor and client relationships, and a talent for leading teams to deliver seamless, unforgettable events. Missy joined Riverhouse Catering in 2023 as Events Manager, bringing with her extensive experience planning fundraisers, corporate events, private home gatherings, and weddings. She’s thrilled to bring her enthusiasm for cuisine, event management, and—most importantly—people to every event she touches. Her mission is to ensure each celebration is flawlessly executed and leaves a lasting impression on every guest.
Kevin Hines
Executive Chef
Chef Kevin's culinary journey began 16 years ago, inspired by cooking for his father. A University of Rhode Island graduate, he launched his own campus calzone shop and later rebranded Tony’s Pizza into 803 Pizzeria. Kevin sharpened his skills with DORO Restaurant Group and trained under esteemed chefs at A’vert Brasserie, deepening his expertise in French techniques. From operating a scratch bakery to now leading the kitchen at Riverhouse Catering, Kevin brings passion, creativity, and precision to every event, crafting unforgettable dining experiences for all clients.

Very entertaining experience

Captain Wheeler was awesome! We went on a sunset cruise with some friends and it couldn’t have been any better!

Great place to catch a boat, eat, and learn some history about the town.

A fantastic 90 minute tour with two very knowledgeable gentlemen announcing historical facts. They discussed the waterway, the people, the land, the wildlife and more on the most beautiful of days. A definite do again.

We visited New London to enjoy the new London lighthouse tour. A friend told me about this and said it was wonderful. We found the pricing at $30 a person for a two hour tour to be very reasonable. We were pleasantly surprised to have a very l...

arge boat with three different stories available to sit, stand or walk on. They also had a small gift shop and food and drink area. We brought our family of adult children and one teenager, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We had many excursions and outings that week and everyone in our group of nine agreed this was their favorite activity. The tour itself was great. The history given over the intercom by the individual providing all the details about the tour and each individual lighthouse was very enlightening and the pace of the trip was relaxed and enjoyable. We would definitely do a trip like this again and I would recommend bringing your high-end camera to get fabulous pictures of each lighthouse because the boat driver circles around to get several different angles and views for you
