Riverpark was a magical place to get married! We first visited during the daytime and thought it was pretty, but at night the space lights up and looks magical. Nina worked with us to bring the vision to life and helped us work with the chef to come up with a custom vegetarian wedding menu. The day of the wedding we spent the day getting ready there, bringing in hair stylists and make up artists. We had the ceremony upstairs at the Apella, cocktail hour outside, and then opened up to the beautiful dance floor. They were phenomenal to work with! The food was so delicious that everyone was eager to eat it, the only thing I would even recommend in the future is to do maybe 1 more food station because we had a line for food, but honestly it still worked out great. We have already been back to the restaurant, and maybe one day we can see if they'll recreate our wedding menu for us because it was so delicious! I cannot recommend this venue enough! Also, the location provided such gorgeous backgrounds for photos and especially for first look. It was beyond anything I could have dreamed of, and really the space was so beautiful from the very start.
Riverpark went above and beyond to accommodate what we asked for. Danielle and her team truly had our best interests at heart and enthusiastically worked with us from start to finish. Zero complaints - we are thrilled we selected Riverpark for our wedding ceremony and reception.
Danielle was awesome, she was very patient and provides all the information you need and request. They will do what they can to accommodate your request. We had our lunch reception at the East Room, which is perfect for private dinning for 20. Kudos to their pastry chef as well, they made our cake and it was on point and absolutely delicious. If you go for family style, just be sure you include in your contract if you'd like to take home any leftovers. If that's not there, unfortunately you won't be able to. Aside from that, the service was a bit slow during lunch, we (bride&groom) were a bit late coming from our photo shoot, the guests were a bit hungry already although we have the open bar open an hour early, it seemed that the service crew took their time between courses. Over-all, definitely recommend this place, the restaurant is very stylish, high ceiling and has great the view of the East River with an outdoor patio. The food was good too and we do plan to comeback here for our trips back to NYC.
I had the most memorable and beautiful wedding at Riverpark in August 2017. The food, wine, and overally hospitality and high-level of professionalism was absolutely perfect. The Crafted Hospitality team was very dedicated and helpful with my planning and organizing the logistics of my wedding ceremony at Apella and the reception in their restaurant - it was an extraordinary feat with 200 guests in attendance for both ceremony, cocktail, and reception. They understood what my visions and expectations were and made sure to execute them exactly. Every aspect of the entire day went smoothly, and I could not imagine how seamless everything was managed. Our family and friends had a great time! My husband and I have dined at Riverpark on several occasions and are happy to have celebrated our special day at an extraordinary place and with an extraordinary team too.
I wish I didn't have to have the disappointing wedding experience I did, as I was so looking forward to Crafted Hospitality's experience and expected full service with our wedding dinner, but from the beginning of booking the space, something felt (and still is) broken with private events at this restaurant.
But for our small (33 ppl) 3-hour dinner with minimal logistics they seemed to have dropped the ball and couldn't get the room set-up to BEO approval. I felt like our event was overlooked completely, probably because they assumed it would be easy and turn key. But alongside the room set-up not ready to go at start time (with a litany of forgotten items like place cards, champagne glasses, votives, etc.), they had serious issues with the audio set-up, as if they hadn't tested it beforehand (and one speaker never ended up working).
Disappointed for the ever-lasting wedding memory now with this restaurant and Crafted Hospitality. Can't recommend this spot for anyone to have a private event, nor will I take any more clients to dinner at this spot/Craft restaurants. And even the response rate/follow-up by the team overall has been disappointing alongside everything. Tom Colicchio needs to turn a sharp eye on this restaurant, as it's doing a disservice to the entire brand's tagline of "make you happy." This hasn't been practiced sadly even at this point, as I'm still waiting for someone to extend the proper course of reimbursement for the situation rather than a gift certificate hand-off. Hospitality refreshers need to be given to the Riverpark events team from top to bottom.
