Many of the guests commented on how beautiful the setting was and how smoothly everything was managed. The outdoor ceremony site featuring a stone patio and pond was truly beautiful and large enough to accommodate 200+ guests and a traditional Mandap for the inter-denominational ceremony. The beautiful barn for sangeet/mehendi and next day for reception was lit with lanterns and stringed bulb lighting, which worked perfectly with our planned decor. The venue rental includes 20+ round tables and 200+ chairs that can be used for the ceremony and reception as well as several other furnishings. This venue also allows you full vendor flexibility, which was invaluable when planning our prefect Indian / Carribean event. As a parent, it brought me great joy and comfort to know that my son and his bride could fully enjoy their wedding day without any concerns. The team at Riverside on the Potomac created an environment where every moment felt effortless, meaningful, and memorable. gem of a venue was the perfect location for my dream of a semi-traditional indian wedding weekend to come to life. The outdoor ceremony site featuring a stone patio, picturesque background, and water feature all perfectly shaded by a giant tree by 5 PM made my 250 person group feel intimate. The Amish built barn repurposed as the reception hall was truly beautiful, with natural light filtering in from plexiglass filled gaps between the wooden boards. Beautiful lanterns and string bulb lighting as well as tables, ceremony chairs and other decor are included. In addition to the amazing facility, the property owner Suzi and her family are a class act - from making planning a breeze to jumping in to help whenever they were needed during our events- especially with escorting our older guests around the grounds. She knew the key points I was looking for, outdoor wedding venue, (with a gorgeous indoor option if weather is an issue), big dance floor, and a place to celebrate one of the best days of our lives! -and boy did she nail it!! She took my dad with her to visit Riverside on the Potomac for the first time and they Skyped us later that day with glowing reviews! They described the gorgeous pond, the beautiful flowers, the spectacular barn, and the fun stables for cocktail hour! It sounded like the perfect spot, and we blindly said yes! Later on in the year we were able to visit Riverside on the Potomac in person and it was even better than we imagined! Both the groom and I cried as soon as we walked into the reception barn- it is just soooooo stunning! Our wedding was fabulous and our guests enjoyed every inch of the venue! The ceremony on the pond with gorgeous fields surrounding us. Cocktail hour in the stables was so fun, and there are excellent photo-op areas all around (they even bring out a vintage car to take photos with!). And last but not least the barn for the reception is perfect. An amazing dance floor, an epic wooden bar with fun couches and chairs around, a large kitchen area for catering to make their magic, and a perfect layout for creativity in the way you arrange your guests! Also I can’t forget to mention the bridal only bathroom that is big enough for even the largest princess dress!!! Thank you Suzi and Travis for sharing such a beautiful spot for our wedding.

From the flower gardens filled with summer zinnias to the sweeping views over pastureland down to the Potomac River, the expansive property has many unique and historic backdrops. We used the terrace patio for the ceremony, the stable gallery for the cocktail hour and historic barn for the reception. All of our guests raved about how beautiful, unique and charming the venue was. The many guests from the UK said they had never been to a more beautiful location for a wedding! Suzi and Travis were so warm and welcoming and wonderful to work with. My husband and I are so grateful to have been able to host our daughter’s wedding at such a lovely venue.

We couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else and are so glad we were able to ultimately have our big day there--well worth the wait! If you're thinking about having your wedding at Riverside on the Potomac--do it!

ll, as we started into the driveway a swarm of cardinals flew across our car. After parking, we saw the pond where the ceremony would be held. We were greeted by honking geese and hundreds of beautiful daffodils around the pond. Behind the pond was a large field with another pond and from there the Potomac River. As we gazed, about a dozen deer ran across the open field, stopped and gazed at us. My daughter was in tears! She said mom, “I feel I am in a Disney movie. This is where I want to be married.” She felt her Nanny and her uncle, that she lost way too early, was with her. The owner Suzi, could see in my daughters’ eyes this would be the place for her wedding. Both Suzi and Travis, her husband were wonderful from the first day we met them. They showed us around the venue and were supportive and helpful throughout the year. They answered any questions we had, which were plenty, and responded promptly. The venue dates back to the 1700’s and is beautiful in every way. Suzi opens her home for the brides to get ready. The stables are redone and are exquisite. There is a tack room that looks more like a man cave for the groom/guys to get ready. It has a couch and TV for them to relax. Each horse stall has been redone into a small dining area which could be used if adverse weather or just a nice quiet place during cocktail hour which some of our guests took advantage of. My daughters’ wedding was the last weekend in April. The weather was wonderful and the venue was beautiful! All the flowers were blooming and the venue was spectacular. Even the deer decided to greet us again during the rehearsal. Suzi and Travis were in the shadows to help if we needed them. Suzi even took pictures of my daughter and her father walking towards the ceremony along with a few others and emailed them to us after the wedding. This shows they love what they do and this little extra meant so much to us. We were so happy to have found this venue for our daughters’ wedding and we could not have imagined having it anywhere else. Thank you for such a special day and welcoming us, our family and friends to your home and venue at Riverside on the Potomac.

nd more spacious and ROTP was exactly what we were looking for. There were two main reasons why ROTP was the best venue for us - the views/ambiance and the value for money. The scenery at this venue is absolutely breathtaking, but the barn and other facilities are just as gorgeous!! along that like, ROTP was amazing value for money - they have 300 chairs at the venue which are included (we used them for the ceremony and reception), they have barrles and bars you can use for cocktail hour and the reception included, they have a variety of arches and arbors that you can use, multiple golf carts for carting around to photo locations and for older guests, all of the beautiful string lights and lanterns are included - I could go on and on! Plus, since our wedding was in July, we booked it for a slightly lower cost - and the whole ceremony was in the shave and not too hot at all!! Above all else, Riverside is one of those venues that is even more beautiful in person. Thank you Suzi for being so easy to work with and maintaining such an amazing location!

It is very quintessential "Virginia countryside", and we could not be happier with the decision to get married there. The property owners (Suzi and Travis) are just wonderful and so flexible to work with. They took away any stress that typically comes along with dealing with an event venue. If you're looking for a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, hire Delia-Anne Biondi! She lives on the property and knows ROTP like the back of her hand :) We 100% recommend this venue.

Riverside on the Potomac was not initially on our top “must tour” list. I have to admit, I was not “wowed” by the pictures on the website. A dear friend’s step-daughter got married there about that time & my friend said “you have to check it out, it is gorgeous”. We set an appointment with Suzi without a fixed wedding date in mind (at that point, Sept 2020 was as concrete as my daughter & her fiancé were with their date). From our first moments on the property, we fell in love with it. Travis was welcoming and we were blown away at every turn. From the patio where the ceremony would take place, to the long stable for cocktail hour, and then the beautiful (huge!) and climate-controlled barn. Just WOW!!! At the end of the tour, we sat down with Suzi to discuss the details, and at that point in the process, our daughter was fixed on one date “Sept 19, 2020” for her wedding. Suzi said, “oh, I wish you had told me that. Sept 19 is the only Saturday in Sept 2020 that IS booked.”. We were ready to dismiss Riverside on the Potomac. But, we called our daughter on the way home (she was not with us on the tour) and said “you really need to see Riverside”. When we went back to tour it, she fell in love with it just as we did. She & her fiancé changed their date to Sept 5, 2020 in order to use Riverside as their venue. Suzi & Travis were very easy to work with. Suzi was reassuring throughout the planning process during the pandemic. She gave us the option to move the date to 2021, or to keep Sept 5, 2020. Our daughter & fiancé wanted to get married on Sept 5, 2020, so we kept moving forward with all necessary covid precautions. Riverside did install sanitizing stations throughout and we all felt safe during the event. Our guests were blown away with the venue. People who lived in Loudoun County for years said repeatedly “I never knew this was here” or “how did you find this place?”. It was the perfect venue for the perfect day. When our next child gets married, I am sure Riverside will be top on our list to consider again. Thank-you Suzi & Travis for being wonderful hosts!

No need for too many extra decorations since the grounds are breathtaking and the barn is beautiful on the inside with the strung lights, beautiful lanterns and some antique tables. Included with the covered barn were locations for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to hang out before the wedding ceremony. Other extras were the 300 white chairs, bartending tables, barrels for cocktail time and more. Suzi and Travis were very accommodating, and worked with us through this year of the pandemic. They took extra precautions to ensure the safety of everyone involved and had lots of great advice and contacts for a first time wedding mom. I would definitely recommend this beautiful and magical venue to anyone looking for a farmhouse style venue.

We thought we might have to move the ceremony to the porch but the rain held out until the end of the night; nevertheless they were ready for plan B if it came down to it. Our guests loved the venue so much and loved walking around the grounds, overlooking the pond, and watching the sunset in the barn. They help direct people where to park, had the golf carts ready to transport people and were so warm and welcoming. This venue is amazing and full of warmth, I cannot recommend it enough. Also, should you chose this venue I also recommend Delia-Anne as your day of coordinator- she is a rockstar!!!

the scenery is just breathtaking and the owners were so involved from letting us in the manor, which was so perfect for my daughter’s getting ready area, to helping organize the guests and seating my VIP guests. My father had his own golf cart, he thought he was driving it, but was happy to have them drive him around. The porch and happy hour reception area is so quaint and inviting, my guests felt right at home. The barn didn’t need many decorations, its beautifully decorated all by itself! I recommend the Riverside on the Potomac to anyone for weddings, parties, ladies teas – just anything, its so picturesque, comfortable and fancy at the same time! Your daughter’s wedding is so special with so many things to think about and get done, the Riverside on the Potomac family made it run so smoothly and what seemed like little effort. You can tell they love what they do – thank you again!

Suzi was quick with communication leading up to the wedding and answered all our questions. We received tons of compliments from our guests on our choice of venue and we agree it was phenomenal!

There are a few options for ceremony spaces, including one that looks out over the farm and beyond, and a beautiful garden space. We chose the space that looks out over the farm. The porch for cocktail hour is stunning as well and had plenty of space for our guests to spread out and mingle. Then there's the barn. Due to plexiglass and central air, we got the rustic look we wanted with the added benefit of a controlled climate. The barn is so beautiful, we only accented it with flowers and had no need for extensive decor or additional lighting. We enjoyed having functional indoor and outdoor space for our reception.

perty back in January of 2015, we knew instantly that this was where we were supposed to get married. Working with Suzi was a breeze and we hired their granddaughter to be our day-of-coordinator. Delia-Anne’s knowledge of the property and the local vendors proved to be very helpful. When we decided on Riverside, we knew there could always be the potential of an afternoon thunderstorm in the middle of July. Of course we had our hearts set on the outdoor ceremony on their beautiful patio overlooking the pond - but, as I learned throughout my journey, weather was about the only thing I could not control. We knew that our “plan B” was just as good as the patio, and needed to execute this plan on the day of our wedding. Getting married in the stables proved to be an absolutely magical experience. One guest even noted that it felt like a scene from the movie The Notebook. It was very intimate with all of our 160 guests looking on as we shared our vows and went through the ceremony. I am a firm believer that rain on your wedding day IS in fact good luck! The reception was absolutely perfect in the restored barn and our guests ate, drank, and danced the night away. I loved that this venue truly spoke for itself. I did not have to do much in terms of my own decor and simply just added personal touches to the cocktail hour and reception area (flowers, pictures, etc.) I highly recommend Riverside on the Potomac for your wedding! We were blessed with a perfect day!

The refurbished stables make an excellent location for the cocktail reception and the barn looks like something out of a wedding catalog when decorated for receptions. Suzi was great to work with and allowed us access to the property whenever we needed it. She was always professional yet friendly and has thought through every detail of the venue. Throughout the year we worked with her it was clear she always thinking ahead, working to improve and add to the property all to ensure an amazing experience couples getting married there. Additionally, she has a great vendor list that we found to be really helpful. One thing to note is a day-of-coordinator is required. She recommends several, including her granddaughter (we went with Elegant Momentz). Overall Riverside was a dream venue and we’re so happy we were able to be married there.
