Riverside on the Potomac

My husband and I live in the UK but decided we were going to get married in the states. Being across an ocean made it a little bit difficult to pick a wedding venue but lucky for us we have an amazing in-house wedding planner (my mom). She knew the key points I was looking for, outdoor wedding venue, (with a gorgeous indoor option if weather is an issue), big dance floor, and a place to celebrate one of the best days of our lives! -and boy did she nail it!! She took my dad with her to visit Riverside on the Potomac for the first time and they Skyped us later that day with glowing reviews! They described the gorgeous pond, the beautiful flowers, the spectacular barn, and the fun stables for cocktail hour! It sounded like the perfect spot, and we blindly said yes! Later on in the year we were able to visit Riverside on the Potomac in person and it was even better than we imagined! Both the groom and I cried as soon as we walked into the reception barn- it is just soooooo stunning! Our wedding was fabulous and our guests enjoyed every inch of the venue! The ceremony on the pond with gorgeous fields surrounding us. Cocktail hour in the stables was so fun, and there are excellent photo-op areas all around (they even bring out a vintage car to take photos with!). And last but not least the barn for the reception is perfect. An amazing dance floor, an epic wooden bar with fun couches and chairs around, a large kitchen area for catering to make their magic, and a perfect layout for creativity in the way you arrange your guests! Also I can’t forget to mention the bridal only bathroom that is big enough for even the largest princess dress!!! Thank you Suzi and Travis for sharing such a beautiful spot for our wedding.

Suzi and Travis are very experienced in the wedding industry. Their venue is stunning and has beautiful spaces for everything from first look and portraits to ceremony (with rain alternative!) to your send off. The venue is a tad far from most hotels and towns but there are plenty of shuttle services in the area for hire, which most of our guests utilized.

Riverside on the Potomac, Suzanne and her husband was the best choice for our fall October 2022 wedding. And by far, one of the best people we worked with leading up to our special day. Suzanne incapsulated everything we had envisioned and more when it comes to such a beautiful venue. We couldn’t imagine such a special day without her doing everything and more to make sure we could focus on each other. Please trust me when I say if you are reading this review that you found the one. My daughter and son in law live in the UK but wanted to get married near where my daughter grew up. They were looking for a unique place in the lovely countryside around the DMV area. Riverside on the Potomac is such a place and showcases the history and beauty of this area so well. From the flower gardens filled with summer zinnias to the sweeping views over pastureland down to the Potomac River, the expansive property has many unique and historic backdrops. We used the terrace patio for the ceremony, the stable gallery for the cocktail hour and historic barn for the reception. All of our guests raved about how beautiful, unique and charming the venue was. The many guests from the UK said they had never been to a more beautiful location for a wedding! Suzi and Travis were so warm and welcoming and wonderful to work with. My husband and I are so grateful to have been able to host our daughter’s wedding at such a lovely venue.

We got married this past October! Susie and Travis were helpful and kind to us as we used their home to celebrate our marriage. Their granddaughter was our day of coordinator and She was a miracle worker. Delia Anne made my wedding seamless and stress-free. HIRE HER and use this venue 😍

We had 276 people attend our wedding and Riverside fit them all perfectly! Every corner of this property is absolutely stunning. Guests could not stop complimenting everything from the ceremony space overlooking the pond, to the cocktail hour in the stables, to the gorgeous lit up barn!

This past July, my daughter had the wedding of her dreams at Riverside on the Potomac. There is something really magical about this venue! My daughter and now son-in-law knew from their first visit a little over a year ago that this was where they wanted to get married. From the beautiful pond where they exchanged vows to the rustic and unique stables for cocktail hour and then finally on to the huge stunning barn with gorgeous twinkling lights. The wedding day was everything we had hoped it would be. We also had the absolute best coordinator, Delia-Anne, who knew this venue inside out. From beginning to end, the day was nothing short of amazing! I would 100% recommend this venue to everyone!

My husband and I fell in love with Riverside on the Potomac as soon as we drove up to the venue. We knew this was the place for us. The expansive property has beautiful scenic views and offers different backdrops. We used their terrace patio for our ceremony. We used the stable gallery for our cocktail hour and historic barn for our reception. All of our guests gushed over how beautiful, unique and charming our venue was. The photos were beautiful, and our guests had so much fun. Suzi and Travis were wonderful to work with. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. My husband and I are so grateful to have been able to have our wedding at such a gorgeous venue.

The most magical and amazing venue you could ever wish for! Plenty of apace for larger weddings … with beautiful spaces for your ceremony , cocktail hour and reception. This was the most beautiful, organized, authentic wedding venue my husband and I could have ever picked. We fell in love with this venue the second we saw it and fell in love all over again on our wedding day. Travis and Suzi were so easy to communicate with, so helpful and so kind! My husband and I cannot recommend Riverside on the Potomac enough. We were caught up in the rush of weddings that were scheduled (and canceled) in spring 2020. Suzi was a dream to work with--genuinely sympathetic and extremely communicative. We postponed from May 2020 to May 2021 to ultimately May 2022 and Suzi was fantastic to work with all along the way. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. We fell in love with the outdoor ceremony site, the fun of having the stables for cocktail hour, and the stunning barn for the reception (and our guests agreed!). We couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else and are so glad we were able to ultimately have our big day there--well worth the wait! If you're thinking about having your wedding at Riverside on the Potomac--do it!

A little over a year ago my daughter became engaged and we were looking for a venue for her wedding. Upon arriving at Riverside on the Potomac we thought oh my, a stone road… Well, as we started into the driveway a swarm of cardinals flew across our car. After parking, we saw the pond where the ceremony would be held. We were greeted by honking geese and hundreds of beautiful daffodils around the pond. Behind the pond was a large field with another pond and from there the Potomac River. As we gazed, about a dozen deer ran across the open field, stopped and gazed at us. My daughter was in tears! She said mom, “I feel I am in a Disney movie. This is where I want to be married.” She felt her Nanny and her uncle, that she lost way too early, was with her. The owner Suzi, could see in my daughters’ eyes this would be the place for her wedding. Both Suzi and Travis, her husband were wonderful from the first day we met them. They showed us around the venue and were supportive and helpful throughout the year. They answered any questions we had, which were plenty, and responded promptly. The venue dates back to the 1700’s and is beautiful in every way. Suzi opens her home for the brides to get ready. The stables are redone and are exquisite. There is a tack room that looks more like a man cave for the groom/guys to get ready. It has a couch and TV for them to relax. Each horse stall has been redone into a small dining area which could be used if adverse weather or just a nice quiet place during cocktail hour which some of our guests took advantage of. My daughters’ wedding was the last weekend in April. The weather was wonderful and the venue was beautiful! All the flowers were blooming and the venue was spectacular. Even the deer decided to greet us again during the rehearsal. Suzi and Travis were in the shadows to help if we needed them. Suzi even took pictures of my daughter and her father walking towards the ceremony along with a few others and emailed them to us after the wedding. This shows they love what they do and this little extra meant so much to us. We were so happy to have found this venue for our daughters’ wedding and we could not have imagined having it anywhere else. Thank you for such a special day and welcoming us, our family and friends to your home and venue at Riverside on the Potomac.

This venue is so special. There are so many unique spaces and details that come with the venue. We also loved that there were multiple rain plan options and while we were lucky that we didn't need to use them it gave us peace of mind while planning. Suzie and Travis keep up their venue beautifully and Suzie is fantastic at quickly answering questions. We were told by so many of our guests what a fantastic and unique venue this was.

Suzi, Travis and the team did a wonderful job helping us - from selecting the venue all the way through the Big Day we loved working with them! Suzi is a veteran in the wedding industry and makes you feel right at home when visiting the venue with her warm demeanor and genuine smile. Even with the uncertainty of Covid, everyone at Riverside remained flexible and easy to work with. The day of our wedding brought additional uncertainty with unseasonably cold weather (45°F on Memorial Day Weekend!), but the Riverside team helped make transitioning the ceremony indoors a smooth process. The venue itself is top notch and the historical elements give it a unique charm that was enjoyed by the bridal party and guests alike. Guests haven’t stopped commenting to us about the beauty of the venue. We highly recommend the venue and the Riverside on the Potomac team for your wedding!

Riverside on the Potomac was the PERFECT venue for our summer 2021 wedding! We had to reschedule our wedding due to covid, which included changing our venue to be mostly outdoors and more spacious and ROTP was exactly what we were looking for. There were two main reasons why ROTP was the best venue for us - the views/ambiance and the value for money. The scenery at this venue is absolutely breathtaking, but the barn and other facilities are just as gorgeous!! along that like, ROTP was amazing value for money - they have 300 chairs at the venue which are included (we used them for the ceremony and reception), they have barrles and bars you can use for cocktail hour and the reception included, they have a variety of arches and arbors that you can use, multiple golf carts for carting around to photo locations and for older guests, all of the beautiful string lights and lanterns are included - I could go on and on! Plus, since our wedding was in July, we booked it for a slightly lower cost - and the whole ceremony was in the shave and not too hot at all!! Above all else, Riverside is one of those venues that is even more beautiful in person. Thank you Suzi for being so easy to work with and maintaining such an amazing location!

Riverside on the Potomac is the most beautiful venue! My husband and I were married there this past weekend, and all of our guests could not stop raving about the uniqueness and beauty of the property. There is plenty of space to hold all elements of your wedding day on site (pre-ceremony pictures, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, etc.). It is very quintessential "Virginia countryside", and we could not be happier with the decision to get married there. The property owners (Suzi and Travis) are just wonderful and so flexible to work with. They took away any stress that typically comes along with dealing with an event venue. If you're looking for a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, hire Delia-Anne Biondi! She lives on the property and knows ROTP like the back of her hand :) We 100% recommend this venue.

After our daughter got engaged in the spring of 2019, we made a list of all of the venues in the Loudoun County area. Her & her fiancé were pretty sure they wanted the “rustic barn” vibe, but being a young couple, weddings in general were new to them. We started touring wineries and barns looking for the perfect location for their fall 2020 wedding. Riverside on the Potomac was not initially on our top “must tour” list. I have to admit, I was not “wowed” by the pictures on the website. A dear friend’s step-daughter got married there about that time & my friend said “you have to check it out, it is gorgeous”. We set an appointment with Suzi without a fixed wedding date in mind (at that point, Sept 2020 was as concrete as my daughter & her fiancé were with their date). From our first moments on the property, we fell in love with it. Travis was welcoming and we were blown away at every turn. From the patio where the ceremony would take place, to the long stable for cocktail hour, and then the beautiful (huge!) and climate-controlled barn. Just WOW!!! At the end of the tour, we sat down with Suzi to discuss the details, and at that point in the process, our daughter was fixed on one date “Sept 19, 2020” for her wedding. Suzi said, “oh, I wish you had told me that. Sept 19 is the only Saturday in Sept 2020 that IS booked.”. We were ready to dismiss Riverside on the Potomac. But, we called our daughter on the way home (she was not with us on the tour) and said “you really need to see Riverside”. When we went back to tour it, she fell in love with it just as we did. She & her fiancé changed their date to Sept 5, 2020 in order to use Riverside as their venue. Suzi & Travis were very easy to work with. Suzi was reassuring throughout the planning process during the pandemic. She gave us the option to move the date to 2021, or to keep Sept 5, 2020. Our daughter & fiancé wanted to get married on Sept 5, 2020, so we kept moving forward with all necessary covid precautions. Riverside did install sanitizing stations throughout and we all felt safe during the event. Our guests were blown away with the venue. People who lived in Loudoun County for years said repeatedly “I never knew this was here” or “how did you find this place?”. It was the perfect venue for the perfect day. When our next child gets married, I am sure Riverside will be top on our list to consider again. Thank-you Suzi & Travis for being wonderful hosts!

Riverside on the Potomac is a magical setting for any wedding. It is one of the largest wedding venues in the area that holds around 300 guests with covered facilities. My daughter was married there this past weekend and it could not have been more beautiful. No need for too many extra decorations since the grounds are breathtaking and the barn is beautiful on the inside with the strung lights, beautiful lanterns and some antique tables. Included with the covered barn were locations for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to hang out before the wedding ceremony. Other extras were the 300 white chairs, bartending tables, barrels for cocktail time and more. Suzi and Travis were very accommodating, and worked with us through this year of the pandemic. They took extra precautions to ensure the safety of everyone involved and had lots of great advice and contacts for a first time wedding mom. I would definitely recommend this beautiful and magical venue to anyone looking for a farmhouse style venue.

If you want a FABULOUS wedding just take my advice and book this venue. We combined casual and elegance for my daughters wedding at this venue and it was perfect. Suzi and Travis were delightful to work with and when our rehearsal venue cancelled on us, they were there to help find us another. Our guests were incredibly complimentary of the property and the barn became absolutely magical that night. If I could do it all over again, I would! Thank you Suzi and Travis!!

My husband and I got married there on 5/4/19 and I cannot thank Suzi and Travis enough. We fell in love with the venue and knew that was the perfect spot and represented us so well. Suzi and Travis were a dream to work with, they gave amazing insight along the way and checked in throughout the wedding planning. We thought we might have to move the ceremony to the porch but the rain held out until the end of the night; nevertheless they were ready for plan B if it came down to it. Our guests loved the venue so much and loved walking around the grounds, overlooking the pond, and watching the sunset in the barn. They help direct people where to park, had the golf carts ready to transport people and were so warm and welcoming. This venue is amazing and full of warmth, I cannot recommend it enough. Also, should you chose this venue I also recommend Delia-Anne as your day of coordinator- she is a rockstar!!!

We LOVED having our wedding at Riverside on the Potomac! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the barn is TO DIE FOR! Suzi and Travis were a dream to work with and were more than accommodating when it came to different little requests we had. Would definitely recommend!

My daughter’s wedding was so wonderful and Riverside on the Potomac in Leesburg, VA is just amazing, couldn’t have had a better day! This is a gem hidden in the hills of Leesburg, the scenery is just breathtaking and the owners were so involved from letting us in the manor, which was so perfect for my daughter’s getting ready area, to helping organize the guests and seating my VIP guests. My father had his own golf cart, he thought he was driving it, but was happy to have them drive him around. The porch and happy hour reception area is so quaint and inviting, my guests felt right at home. The barn didn’t need many decorations, its beautifully decorated all by itself! I recommend the Riverside on the Potomac to anyone for weddings, parties, ladies teas – just anything, its so picturesque, comfortable and fancy at the same time! Your daughter’s wedding is so special with so many things to think about and get done, the Riverside on the Potomac family made it run so smoothly and what seemed like little effort. You can tell they love what they do – thank you again!

We LOVED having our wedding at RSOTP! The space can be used in so many ways, and they are so flexible with vendors and timelines. Suzi and Travis were excellent to work with. All of our guests have commented on how absolutely beautiful it was. Highly recommend!

Riverside was absolutely perfect for our wedding. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all right there so it was very easy. The venue is stunning and in mint condition. Suzi and Travis really know what they're doing and had backup plan on backup plan for anything that might happen during a wedding (weather, power, etc). Suzi was quick with communication leading up to the wedding and answered all our questions. We received tons of compliments from our guests on our choice of venue and we agree it was phenomenal!

Riverside on the Potomac is not your average wedding venue. Tucked in a quiet corner of Loudoun County, Riverside is a sprawling farm with horses, chickens, and a canine welcome wagon happy to greet you when you arrive to visit (the dogs did not join in our wedding festivities). Travis and Suzi are incredibly accommodating and generous with vendors and guests alike. There are a few options for ceremony spaces, including one that looks out over the farm and beyond, and a beautiful garden space. We chose the space that looks out over the farm. The porch for cocktail hour is stunning as well and had plenty of space for our guests to spread out and mingle. Then there's the barn. Due to plexiglass and central air, we got the rustic look we wanted with the added benefit of a controlled climate. The barn is so beautiful, we only accented it with flowers and had no need for extensive decor or additional lighting. We enjoyed having functional indoor and outdoor space for our reception.

We LOVED Riverside on the Potomac as a potential wedding venue, but for scheduling reasons we did not end up going with it. That being said, Suzi and Travis seemed like they would have been so wonderful to work with, and they were very accommodating and gracious in showing us around the grounds and answering our many questions. We were impressed by how much they had thought through all the different scenarios of how a wedding day would go. We're definitely recommending Riverside to some of our friends getting married soon!

I was married at Riverside on the Potomac on September 15, 2017 and I am beyond overjoyed with my experience. When my husband and I started looking at venues, I wasn't 100% sure what I was looking for. We looked at a few other places before visiting Riverside and as soon as we walked into the barn I immediately knew that that was it. There is just so much character and charm throughout the entire space, it's breathtaking! Throughout the entire event our guests kept commenting on what a fabulous space it was. The owners, Suzi and Travis, are wonderful and gracious hosts and were beyond accommodating.

We loved Riverside! Suzi was unbelievably helpful before our day and during our day! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is! All of the bistro lights made the barn look romantic and magical at night. It rained during our ceremony and we had to move to our rain site on the porch of the barn, but it was still gorgeous! We could not have been happier to have our wedding at Riverside! It's the perfect location!

My daughter was married at Riverside on the Potomac last weekend. It was the greatest wedding! Riverside on the Potomac was gorgeous. Suzi and the staff of Riverside were fantastic. Delia-Anne, the day of coordinator, was incredible. Suzi and Delia-Anne even let us come several days before our wedding to set up items for the big day. Our guests loved the huge reception are in the barn. The entire evening went exactly as planned thanks to the staff at Riverside. I would highly recommend Riverside on the Potomac for your wedding venue.

We just got married at Riverside on the Potomac on June 3rd! It was the first place we looked and nothing ever compared. The price was about average but the views couldn't be beat! Our guests were blown away! Suzi makes you feel like family and their granddaughter, Delia-Anne is the BEST coordinator out there! She knows all the ins and outs of the venue!

My husband, Aaron and I, got married at Riverside on the Potomac in Leesburg, VA on July 16th, 2016. We could not have been happier with our choice of venue. When we walked the property back in January of 2015, we knew instantly that this was where we were supposed to get married. Working with Suzi was a breeze and we hired their granddaughter to be our day-of-coordinator. Delia-Anne’s knowledge of the property and the local vendors proved to be very helpful. When we decided on Riverside, we knew there could always be the potential of an afternoon thunderstorm in the middle of July. Of course we had our hearts set on the outdoor ceremony on their beautiful patio overlooking the pond - but, as I learned throughout my journey, weather was about the only thing I could not control. We knew that our “plan B” was just as good as the patio, and needed to execute this plan on the day of our wedding. Getting married in the stables proved to be an absolutely magical experience. One guest even noted that it felt like a scene from the movie The Notebook. It was very intimate with all of our 160 guests looking on as we shared our vows and went through the ceremony. I am a firm believer that rain on your wedding day IS in fact good luck! The reception was absolutely perfect in the restored barn and our guests ate, drank, and danced the night away. I loved that this venue truly spoke for itself. I did not have to do much in terms of my own decor and simply just added personal touches to the cocktail hour and reception area (flowers, pictures, etc.) I highly recommend Riverside on the Potomac for your wedding! We were blessed with a perfect day!

Our daughter's wedding reception was recently held at Riverside on the Potomac. Our hosts, Suzi and Travis Worsham, were extremely warm, helpful and accommodating during the planning, and the day turned out perfectly. The location is beautiful, and when the doors to the barn were opened up, the reception just got even better. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a country setting for a wedding.

We would recommend Riverside to any couple thinking of getting married in Loudoun County. The location of the property is beautiful, if you are planning a fall wedding the surrounding forests all change color and make for an amazing backdrop to your day. The venue has multiple areas that make it perfect as a one stop destination for your wedding. There is a ceremony area overlooking a small pond and the fields and forests, as well as a farmhouse for the wedding party to get ready in. The refurbished stables make an excellent location for the cocktail reception and the barn looks like something out of a wedding catalog when decorated for receptions. Suzi was great to work with and allowed us access to the property whenever we needed it. She was always professional yet friendly and has thought through every detail of the venue. Throughout the year we worked with her it was clear she always thinking ahead, working to improve and add to the property all to ensure an amazing experience couples getting married there. Additionally, she has a great vendor list that we found to be really helpful. One thing to note is a day-of-coordinator is required. She recommends several, including her granddaughter (we went with Elegant Momentz). Overall Riverside was a dream venue and we’re so happy we were able to be married there.

Riverside on the Potomac is a gorgeous property with a beautiful, renovated barn and stables. The owners are helpful, passionate, and friendly, and made our choice of wedding reception venues not even a choice. The barn is expansive but cozy, and has charm and character, providing its own decor and decoration. We booked Riverside over a year and a half before our wedding date to ensure we got on the busy schedule. It has undergone even more updates and renovations since we first saw it, and the owners keep it in beautiful condition. We were told by multiple guests, multiple times that it was the most beautiful and unique venue they'd ever seen.

We had our Wedding here on October 11 2015! I highly recommend Riverside! This is a five star venue! It's so beautiful for a rustic Virginia countryside wedding. Riverside also accommodates guest they need help getting around the property using golf carts. Delia is also a wedding planner you can hire for the day of. I highly recommend using her. She really made the day flow so smoothly and handled everything. I recommend them to everyone I know!

I recently had my wedding at Riverside on the Potomac. Suzi, the owner of the property, was wonderful to work with. She made the property available to me whenever I needed it, and I was able to come in days prior to the wedding to begin setup. This made it easier on me, and my friends who were helping. Suzi was always responsive, and the cost of the venue was right along with other quotes I received. Not to mention the raves I got from family and friends on the location of the wedding, made it even more worth it :)
