I highly recommend Riverside Quartet! The group's main contact, Courtney, had excellent communication and follow through prior to the event. They arrived in plenty of time to set up and played beautifully. It was perfect! Riverside Quartet was one of the best vendors that we worked with, definitely the easiest to work with, and the music added personality and character to our wedding. Thank you, Riverside Quartet!!
Courtney was so thorough in her preparations and helped keep me on track. Due to another event taking place at the same time, a member of the quartet could not attend rehearsal the evening prior to the wedding; however, I was very confident that it would all work out... and IT DID!
If you are looking for a sound that is totally different from most weddings you have been to, I highly recommend the Riverside Quartet. Their presence added the perfect touch to our wedding day! They have such a variety of music to choose from that we had no trouble finding songs we liked.
Three months later, and I'm still hearing that the quartet was the favorite part of the ceremony for our wedding guests! Book them well in advance because their schedule is sure to fill up quickly.
We hired them to play at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and they did such a great job! They specifically learned "I Will Wait" by Mumford and Sons to play as I walked down the aisle and it sounded perfect! Many of my guests have told me how great they sounded as well! Courtney was very easy to work with and was very helpful when I had questions. I highly recommend them!
Riverside Quartet was responsive throughout the planning process, prompt on the day of the wedding, and played beautifully during the ceremony. The rate charged was definitely worth it to us. They had a fairly broad list of offerings and even played some songs we wanted in the ceremony that weren't listed. Overall, we were quite pleased and would recommend to a friend.
We chose Riverside String Quartet for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour after spending hours online trying to find the right music choices for our budget and the style of our wedding. Even though Riverside was slightly out of the geographic location of our wedding, we loved their diverse repertoire and the price was just right for us. We had a very easy time working with them and they were even able to learn multiple songs for our wedding processional/recessional! I would highly recommend for any wedding or other event.
I really enjoyed working with the Riverside Quartet. They made everything very easy, from communication before the ceremony to traveling between the ceremony and cocktail hour. Their music was a beautiful addition to the ceremony and cocktail hour. I would highly recommend them.
I was beyond pleased with Courtney and her team. The quartet was phenomenal. She went above and beyond what I expected (drove 60 miles at no additional cost) and the music was perfection. Many guests asked about the musicians and I was more than happy to recommend their services. Not only did they play beautiful classics, there were plenty of new age artists including Cold Play and Lady Gaga. So grateful for Courtney's expertise. Would love to hire her and her team again for future events.
I worked with Courtney and she was wonderful. She responded so quickly every time I emailed or had a question. I requested both a violinist and cellist, so the price may differ depending on what instruments are requested. They arrived on time, it was all perfect!
The Riverside Quartet is absolutely first rate! We didn't have a wedding planner and did as much as we could ourselves. With very little input on my part Courtney Grant and the entire quartet did everything seamlessly. They followed the cues during the ceremony and even moved closer to the guests following the ceremony during the cocktail hour. The music was lovely and we received dozens of compliments for their work. I should have been more interactive with them as the groom/host, but I was overwhelmed. They did everything so professionally without needing my input. I couldn't be happier with their professionalism and musicianship.
I couldn't be more pleased with The Riverside Quartet. They were prompt with their reply whenever I sent them an e-mail. They were very professional, talented, and accommodating and I am very satisfied with their performance. I highly recommend The Riverside Quartet.
I thought the musicians did a wonderful job. Their music was beautiful. They worked with my daughter on a solo and it was perfect. They were very professional. Courtney was amazing to work with. She was always prompt in responding to my emails. They also travelled an hour to my location at a reasonable charge. So, don't hesitate to use them even if you are not in Morgantown. Overall, she and the rest of the trio were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them.
Riverside Quartet played at my ceremony and they were excellent! They sounded great and were very easy to work with!
The musical quality of the Riverside Quartet (we used the trio) was excellent and they played all the pieces we asked. From start to finish, it was easy, professional, and enjoyable working with their coordinator. The ceremony was outside and it sprinkled right before the ceremony, but all the musicians were not bothered by the weather and continued playing under their tent. I highly recommend this group.
I got married 6/15 at Coopers Rock SF outside of Morgantown, WV, on the overlook with reception under the pavilions. Having our reception music in the pavilions, we wanted music for the ceremony out near the overlook.
I booked a trio that played for a half hour preceeding the ceremony, processionals, and recessional. It was quite likely the best spent money of the wedding!
The trio sat just below the handicap overlook as no chairs were allowed on the overlook itself. It helped to gather people near the overlook prior to the ceremony so that when things were ready to begin, everyone was already nearby.
Although I was worried that the distance and wide open area would make the music faint on the overlook (50-100 feet away) the music was a perfect volume that really added something special to our ceremony. If you're worried about how the music will carry, don't be.
We were not picky as to music selection and had the trio play a mix of traditional classical music, and newer pop music. The combination was great and it really helped to connect with guests young and old. We did choose the processionals and recessional, which was greatly aided by their online examples on their website.
Being Mountaineer fans, we left the ceremony to their rendition of County Roads, because for me, it was a home win.
Courtney was very thorough in her preparations for the wedding and I was very comfortable that it would all work out. If you are even thinking about having strings played at your event, I highly reccomend the Riverside Quartet. Their presence added something very special, to an already very special day.
I hired the Riverside quartet for my outside wedding ceremony music. They were fabulous and very easy to work with! My guests loved the live music and it was the perfect touch to my special day!
The Riverside String Quartet was recommended to us by a friend who was familiar with the musicians, so we were pretty confident that they would be good--but they were better than good! Courtney was extremely organized and efficient. For nearly every piece of music requested, her response was "Yes, we can do that." And for the one not in their repetoire, she agreed to create an arrangement which was beautiful. Customer service is tops with this group, which is so important. They understand it isn't about them, it's about the couple and they do an outstanding job to add to the day.
I was extremely pleased with Riverside Quartet. I hired a violinist to play ceremony music for my wedding and she was amazing! I got several comments from guests who were also impressed. I would definitely recommend them.
Riverside Quartet was a fabulous group to work with! They were extremely accommodating with their set-up location even though we had to shuffle them around multiple times due to heavy rain. They also drove two hours to be at my wedding location and were right on time. Everyone commented that the music sounded beautiful, and the volume was great for both the cocktail hour and ceremony. We had the violin/viola duo, and they were very complementary. Their sound matched that on the website. I would definitely recommend Riverside Quartet for any future events!
It was a pleasure dealing with Riverside Quartet from first contact to the end of their performance. Many of the guests at our daughter's wedding commented on how the quartet added an elegance to both the outdoor ceremony and the indoor cocktail hour. Courtney was very professional and accommodating. I can not recommend them highly enough.
They were AWESOME!! The music was crisp and fun. The guests were talking about the pop tunes at the reception and thought it was fun that they did not just play the typical music! Overall, I loved them and they made our ceremony special. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could! Thank you so much for making my day special!
Would recommend this group for any occasion. Courtney was extremely attentive and easy to work with. She made sure everything was exactly how I wanted and was super accommodating! If you are looking for some fantastic musicians to play for an event, I would look no further. The music was beautiful and all of the guests were very complimentary.
The riverside quartet was amazing! We did everything through email because I live out of state. They were extremely professional and had a large list of songs to select from. Their website also included sound clips and a wide variety of options for duets, trios, or quartets. They even included one arranged song that was not on the list. They arrived on time and were exceptional musicians that added so much to our ceremony. If you are planning a wedding anywhere near charleston, wva or stonewall resort, I highly recommend them. They are also willing to travel, so call or email them to see if the can make your destination.
I had the pleasure of working with Courtney via e-mail since I live 1000 miles away from our Ceremony location. I had such a hard time finding anyone in Johnstown, PA who would provide Ceremony music, let alone, the kind of music I enjoy (modern music played with classical instruments). I ended up finding the Riverside Quartet online, and after talking to Courtney I felt that it was a perfect fit. She was prompt in her e-mails and helped me feel confident on booking a vendor strictly through e-mail communication. Especially since they were willing to travel all the way from West Virginia!
Day of went beautifully. Kori and Sara played wonderfully, and everyone enjoyed the music. They took care of business, and gave me one less thing to worry about! I'd recommend them to anyone!
Courtney was absolutely amazing! She was so accommodating and was able to work along side of an organist, a pianist and a vocalist. She was very professional and all of the musicians who worked along side her were blown away by her ability to sense the other musician's "feeling" with the music! Thank you so much for making our day perfect!
I located Riverside Quartet on the internet and they were always prompt and professional in their communications with me. I especially appreciated their website that not only provided information about the group and their background, but also provided sample clips of various songs that the group played.
The contract was easy to read and understand. The group arrived on-time, played beautifully for the time-frame we had set and were very professional. I would recommend them to anyone.
RQ were consummate professional musicians throughout our experience with them. Their pre-planning helped everything go smoothly on our wedding day--both for us and them. The selections of music were performed beautifully, adding the exact flair of elegance and class we desired at our wedding. Because seeing a string quartet perform live is relatively rare in our area, it was a treat for our guests too, who really enjoyed RQ's music. RQ played all of the selections we agreed upon, and were gracious about re-playing a few pieces which some wished to hear twice! We would absolutely recommend choosing RQ for your wedding or event. You will be most pleased.
The Riverside Quartet was extremely helpful in fitting us into their already busy day. They communicated with us regularly and were truly interested in providing the service we dreamed of by understanding our vision. The music was beautiful. We were very pleased.
I debated whether or not to have live musicians or simply play a CD or have the DJ play music. I am so glad we decided to spend the extra money to have live musicians. They really created a wonderful ambiance for everyone. I will never forget that moment when the music began playing. It even brought tears to my grandma's eyes. The quartet group was very professional and always emailed me back immediately which I really appreciated. I was very happy with choosing them. I had a duet of a violin and cello, and I would recommend them to anyone who is having a wedding!
