Riverside Vines is a brand new full-service lakefront wedding venue located just south of Richmond, VA on Lake Chesdin, nestled right in between Virginia Beach and Washington DC. With award-winning wines, lush accommodations, and 170 acres of beautiful landscape, our grounds serve as the perfect blend of opulence and comfortability for both intimate and grand celebrations. We are passionate about bringing our clients' dreams to life and designed our venue with versatility and seamless entertaining in mind. purchase a bar package through them. Unfortunately, you cannot schedule a tasting for the catering menu (which is why we ended up choosing an outside caterer), but you do get the opportunity to schedule a wine tasting. Maria is very flexible & easy to work with, but responsiveness to questions was very variable throughout the process. When Maria was out due to unforeseen circumstances, it was hard to get in touch with anyone else from the venue & if we got in touch with someone who wasn't Maria, they often weren't on the same page as what we had previously discussed. The venue cost does include a coordinator who was extremely beneficial. Our coordinator, Leila, was very familiar with the venue and was able to answer all of our questions once we got closer to the big day. She was instrumental in reducing our stress/anxiety about things going smoothly. Robert, the bar manager, who was present for our rehearsal dinner & our wedding day was fabulous. My bridesmaids & I stayed at the chateau the night before the wedding & got ready there that morning which was very convenient. Our wedding day went perfectly & I wouldn't change a thing. Overall, I would recommend Riverside Vines for your upcoming wedding.

work with – helpful, kind, and professional every step of the way. The venue itself offers so much. In the days leading up to the wedding, the forecast was calling for rain, but we had total peace of mind knowing RSV has a beautiful permanent tent on-site that we could use as a backup ceremony location in addition to using it for the reception area. Thankfully, the weather held out and we were able to get married at their stunning waterfront ceremony site, it was such a breathtaking view! We stayed at the chateau on the property the night of our wedding and it was the perfect place to unwind after the big day. I will forever cherish returning to that beautiful farmhouse and decompressing there with our wedding party. The next morning we got up and had coffee on the back porch while watching the sheep and a few little lambs play in the field behind the house, it was pure bliss!

farm yet everything feels very modern. Communication was great throughout the whole process. I had my guests stay at two hotels in Chester, VA so it was only 20 minutes from the venue. Everything was seamless. We also stayed at the farm house on site, that's the way to do it. SO much less stress the morning of your wedding because you're already there. All of my bridesmaids loved the house, it was massive and had everything we needed. Couldn't recommend this venue enough. It's only going to get better each year, I can tell. Thank you RSV!
