Even for some of the outside vendors we used, Riverwood knew them and vice versa making it seamless. Our day was perfect and went so smooth!

As a long-distance couple planning a wedding in a state neither of us lived in during a very busy time in life, we needed a venue we loved with a staff that would be sure to consistently communicate and help throughout the planning process. Morgan, Cora, and the Riverwood staff did a fantastic job in ensuring we were involved throughout the process. They were able to provide recommendations for quality vendors, provided prompt responses when we had questions and updates as the day came closer, and they were willing to work with us on the small details that made the day and event ours. The Riverwood Mansion property was absolutely stunning on our big day, our guests were able to find the property easily + plenty of parking, and the staff was so helpful. We were given a period of time to actually eat our wedding food-the set-up and time alone were wonderful. We chose to have food stations for our guests, and they couldn’t have been better. Everyone was able to eat plenty and everything was delicious- the food was a CONSISTENT high remark that we are STILL hearing about! We worked with Brandin on a gorgeous and super tasty cake that had 3 tiers of different flavors. Joyce worked with us to plan the day and practice how things would go while making sure everything went well on our big day. We had no issues at all throughout the ceremony and reception, with events being moved along gracefully. DJ Chris worked with us to create an awesome playlist that kept everyone dancing. Several guests at our wedding approached us to let us know how impressed they were with the Riverwood staff, noting how clean the venue remained, how frequently they were offered assistance, and how they didn’t seem to notice all of the upkeep being done because of how efficiently things were being done. If you’re even somewhat thinking about a Nashville wedding, you should look at Riverwood Mansion. It’s on a gorgeous property, with some space, privacy, and peace for your wedding with the option to head downtown afterward. It’d be hard to find a place that better embodies true southern hospitality throughout the whole process. Thank you again to everyone at Riverwood!

We could not have asked for a better day of coordinator and it was a BLESSING to have her expert knowledge in anything and everything wedding related. Joyce was our ceremony director and we were just blown away at how smoothly everything went because of her. She is spunky, energetic, fun, sweet and raw and we just feel so lucky to have had her there helping run the show. She did a fabulous job of understanding our wants and needs and seamlessly directed the ceremony to perfection. Aside from all the staff that helped make our day so perfect, Riverwood Mansion holds a palpable magic charm that fills you with warmth and joy. The venue is absolutely stunning with its towering magnolias and giant white pillars that draw you in. The inside has been kept pristine and quite literally takes you back in time. We felt our guests had such a wonderful evening in the reception area where there was ample room to dance, eat, and drink our hearts out! The orange glow of October on the trees was an added bonus and it was overall the most magical day of our lives. So with that I give this venue a 5 star review and wish the staff and venue all the prosperity in the wedding industry. Thank you for everything Riverwood!

As a former wedding planner myself, I know very well the hard work that goes into weddings - the preparation and the day-of execution. I had high expectations for all my vendors, and Riverwood absolutely blew me away with their professionalism, attention to detail, and thorough communication. No question was left unanswered, and no detail was left out of the planning process. Landry and her team are amazing. Part of the appeal of Riverwood was the all-inclusive aspect. We had a relatively short engagement by today's standards (9 months) and we were also competing with 2020 overflow/postponed COVID weddings. It was a huge relief to know that everything we needed would be included and we wouldn't have to piecemeal our reception vendors together on short-ish notice. Pandemic notwithstanding, this part of Riverwood is worth its weight in gold. The vendors they contract with are first-rate, and honestly I would have chosen them whether they were included or not! The catering team was fantastic and the food was delicious. We got so many compliments on our seated/served meal. I also loved working with Caprice, the florist. I had a *vision* and she brought it to life with perfection! We did decide to upgrade to a band, so I can't speak to the included DJ. We also had the ceremony at our church. The only snafu (that I'm aware of) was a mistake on our end. We almost ran out of wine! Landry brought the issue to our attention before it became problematic; unfortunately our priest wasn't able to work any miracles using the water, but my brother-in-law was able to make a quick run and no guest was any the wiser. Perhaps coming up on our one-year anniversary is making me extra sentimental, but I would not change a single thing about our wedding at Riverwood. It was absolutely perfect.

Everyone that interacted with her had only positive things to say, and she was the shining star of the night. The food was good, but I think extremely over-priced for what it actually is, but overall the taste was good which at the end of the day is what matters. DJ Chris is wonderful as well - responsive, nice, and overall a joy to work with. She ensured that the guests were happy and kept them out on the dance floor. We mainly worked with Landry during the planning process, and we loved her! She is just so positive and assuring and made the planning less stressful. It is also nice to drop off additional decorations the week of and going over the location of each decoration in order to alleviate any last minute questions the day of. Cons: We were married on an extremely hot July day. However, the mansion was HOT inside. The bridal suite upon our arrival was hot (to the point where a bridesmaid asked if she could go downstairs where it was cooler), the mansion for the guests during the cocktail hour was hot, and althought it was an extremely hot day, I just expected it to be cooler, especially since you pay additional to have the pavilion air conditioned. Also, you there is no rehearsal the night before as as wedding or other event can be booked. You can pay extra to have your Rehearsal the morning before but this was not possible since our entire bridal party was traveling from out of town. So, we had to have ours the day of (so I couldn't be there), and there were many little details that I wish I could have changed that I didn't think about and would have only have thought about if I had been at the rehearsal. So instead, I didn't notice until I was walking down the aisle. The amount of time at the venue is also super short unless you pay to add additional time ($500/hour). Lastly, since it is a historic venue, there are many, many rules, and I think that is just something that I wish I would have taken into account when picking a venue. Not particularly for myself, but for my family and friends that were there for our big day that had many complaints -mainly just for our parents because I hate that they had negative experiences that evening. I didn't learn about this until after our Honeymoon but obviously you don't want anyone talking about the negative things of the day instead of the positives. Overall, the venue is absolutely beautiful but with any venue/vendor, ensure that you understand all the details.

Our package came with DJ, caterer with cake, musician for our ceremony, and florist! Like my goodness, HOW AMAZING! As a bride from Texas, this made wedding planning much easier for us. We really had to just search for our own photographer/videographer, but everything else was handled by them. We enjoyed our meeting to pick our signs, colors for linens/table cloths, dinnerware, table decor, arbors, table decor, outside decor… and their options were MORE than enough. They do a great job of assigning you a person so that you can work with them directly, and they help you til the day of the wedding, they work with your vendors to ensure all planning the day of goes well and the set up, they create a timeline for the day of your wedding, they have a ceremony directory that comes with your package as well, which makes your day MUCH smoother. Honestly, they covered SO much for us, that it made every penny spent with them SO worth it. Emails were timely, they would go above and beyond with ideas to help you create your dream wedding. There’s not a thing I would change about this venue. All our guests were so shocked at my husband and I, but honestly, I couldn’t have done it without Morgan and Joyce and Cara who helped put our wonderful day together with the best vendors in Nashville they could work with. DJ Chris, amazing! The musicians were superb! They give you long lists of suggestions based on the instrument you pick and what would sound great and ideas for processionals, etc. The food, dear lord! Compliments galore on how tasty the food and cake was. The servers that helped pass out the food/drinks/pick up tables, also helped you carry your food and go up and down the few stairs for the handicapped guests we had. Our florist, Caprice with Enchanted Florist, knew we had a budget, and when I walked into the venue, I couldn’t BELIEVE what our budget gave us! I was so emotional and overjoyed on how hard EVERY vendor with Riverwood worked to make our dreams come true for our special day. I could go on and on and on! Thank you for being SO wonderful Riverwood!!!!! I cried so much on my wedding day! Yall go above and beyond on your friendliness and service, and the crazy part, it was ALL genuine! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

eather was going to be thunderstorms on and off all day and I was so sad. We ended up using the rain plan and having the ceremony inside! It turned out way better than I could have ever imagined! I worked with Landry and she was the best at answering all of my questions and helping me plan everything. The all inclusive aspect of the venue was such an amazing part because I was in such a busy season of life. I truly am so thankful for the staff and the venue for making wedding planning so easy and for making our wedding day the most beautiful & fun day of my life!!

They were genuinely excited to host our wedding and in helping make it our own. I know they host many weddings, but we never felt like another number. With all of their amazing communication/responsiveness and organized meetings, they felt like family by the time of the wedding. They took care of us like family. Joyce and Morgan were always nearby to get us anything that we could possibly want on the day of. All other staff were equally amazing. My family and friends from all over the country were shocked how perfect each detail was, from the staff coordinating each wedding day task and decoration, to the delicious and warm food, to the perfectly mixed cocktails. They genuinely felt excited to be in such a stunning, historic space and cannot stop talking about it! Not only that, but my family was off the hook for set up and tear down-type tasks and could genuinely enjoy each moment of my wedding alongside me. These are memories I will always have, thanks to Riverwood! We can't wait to visit again and already miss working with them. The best day of our lives hands down.

Especially during this pandemic time, I wasn't worried about vendors canceling on me or over-stressing on planning a destination wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and classic, and all the vendors were phenomenal to work with! Also, I couldn't have been more thankful for the Riverwood staff because right as the ceremony started, it started pouring down rain. Riverwood staff quickly jumped into action and streamlined everything into my backup ceremony venue! All my guests complimented how wonderful the staff was, how beautiful the venue was, how excellent the food was, and overall everyone, especially me, loved the experience! They have a great wedding planning team, helped me stay within my budget, and helped create the wedding of my dreams! If you are open to a destination wedding or live in the area, you cannot go wrong with choosing Riverwood!

Many of our guests also commented on the beautiful venue and how personal they felt the ceremony was. Multiple guest said it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding. I feel Riverwood help make our daughter’s wedding a reflection of their style and personality. I couldn’t imagine having another group of people to work with on such an important night. It was decorated for Christmas which was stunning! I also couldn’t get over all of the gorgeous chandeliers. The venue was absolutely perfect for our intimate wedding.

I want to mention that our wedding was in September and yes it is hot in Nashville in September but they made sure to give us the option to have AC in the beautiful reception tent attached to the mansion- I wanted to mention it due to the fact another review made it sound as if in warmer months you shouldn't book this venue. That's not the case at all. Don't miss out on this amazing venue! You will not regret it. 10/10 would recommend!

SEAMLESS. The venue is breathtaking and the staff is incredibly professional and kind. Jacey (coordinator) and Joyce (wedding director) are God’s gifts to earth. They are so genuine and always know what you need before you even know. Their primary concerns are the bride and groom and they are there for you every step of the way. When I was searching for wedding venues like a maniac, I found that there weren’t many honest reviews about price. I know budget is incredibly important to most brides, so I’ll do my best to break down the costs. I picked the Grand Celebration package, which includes 8.5 hours, food, DJ, cake, décor, bar staff, directors, etc. The package is for a guest count of 125 people and is roughly $27,000. It’s $80 per person after that. This package does not include alcohol. I saved thousands of dollars on alcohol by throwing a “Stock the Bar” party/engagement party where guests brought a bottle of liquor for the wedding (I did Tito’s vodka, Tanqueray gin, Jack Daniel’s whiskey, or Captain Morgan rum). The food was AMAZING. You don't get to have a tasting before, but just trust the chef. It was so good and many guests brought up how much they liked it as we were making "our rounds". I can tell you that 8.5 HOURS IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO ENJOY YOUR WEDDING. You can pay $1000 dollars for an extra hour. The day flies by, this is a must. We didn’t do a first look, so we took pictures during cocktail hour. If you have a cocktail hour, you must purchase hor d'oeuvres from the venue (they mandate that there is food when there is alcohol). We had a guest count of 200, so our final bill from Riverwood (with any upgrades and additions) came to $42,000. When considering budget, the small things really add up. Think about the dress, invitations, photographer, hair and makeup, save the dates, jewelry, bridesmaids gifts, transportation, guestbook, etc. Long story short…if the above price fits your budget and you want to get married in a beautiful mansion in Nashville, I would highly recommend Riverwood.

I don't know how everyone there knew exactly how to anticipate my needs so precisely, but the staff was incredible. For example, we ran out of time with the photographers, but Kimberly took us to a beautiful location behind the mansion because she knew I didn't want guests to see me before the ceremony and we were able to continue with the photos until the ceremony. I'm also convinced she can create extra time because she gave me a water break, relax/prayer time, and let me see the completed reception site all before I walked down the aisle. Also, when by bridal bouquet was forgotten at the house she got it all taken care of without letting me freak out. When I was informed that my handwritten wedding vows had been misplaced, she calmed me down instantly, told me how special I was, and made me feel so loved by lighting all of the candles in the mansion. In sum, there are few people in this world this exceptional. These are only a few examples of the extreme hospitality and love I was shown by this staff. I will be forever grateful for all of the ways Riverwood made my dream a reality. I have dreamed of getting married at Riverwood since I was 12 years old. It is a magical place that is visually captivating and has an atmosphere that is essential for a wondrous wedding. This place has it all- The beautiful venue, the assurance of knowing your day will go without a hitch, and a staff that is out of this world. If you are on the fence about choosing Riverwood, just leap because you will not regret it. They are more than worth every penny. If you are far away, make the drive.
