Rob EZ DJ Services offers top-class entertainment services for weddings and events in San Diego, CA. I'm Robert Pitchardo, and I have over 20 years of DJ experience that includes private events, public events, corporate events, nightlife, and weddings. I decided to get back into working as a DJ in 2025 after a 15-year hiatus raising a family. I'm currently catering to couples looking to have small to medium-sized weddings, providing a more budget-friendly service while still making sure I provide the right vision for the couple. I caught the DJ bug back when I was 12 years old. My dad came home from WestPac with a Karaoke JVC K99 Stereo, which was a double cassette player that had a tape speed feature, so it made it possible for me to transition from one song to another. A couple of years later, my cousin purchased a pair of realistic turntables with a mixer from Radio Shack, and I was able to get my first experience mixing on turntables. From then on, I deejayed school lunches, dances, house parties, and family events with my cousin and a few of our friends. When I was 22, one of my friends who was deejaying at a few clubs at the time had me show up to one of his gigs, and he let me deejay with him that night. For the next two years, I was able to deejay at different venues, being in a rotation with other deejays. In late 1999, I decided to start my own mobile DJ business. For the next 10 years, I deejayed different types of events that included many weddings. In the midst of my mobile DJ duties, I had a residency in 2007-08 at a National City sports bar, and I hosted karaoke at a few venues from 2001 - 2009. My experience as a wedding DJ has enabled me to see different facets of the wedding industry, not only with the couples, their families, and guests, but also how much I can relate with different vendors regarding the issues we run into and how we have to improvise. My experience as a wedding DJ has opened my eyes to different walks of life, and it brings me satisfaction to have been part of weddings that have introduced me to different cultures, customs, and, of course, different music.
