Rob did an amazing job. The guests loved him and he really got some amazing shots. He got down on the ground, climbed fences, and ran all over the place to get the shot when he thought of it. Rob is AMAZING. I work in the wedding industry and we met at an association meeting a few years ago and I knew then I wanted to book him for my own wedding. As a person, he is kind, patient, and overall pleasant to be around. It's SO important to get along with the vendors you'll be around all day, and Rob made it easy. He took our engagement photos about a year and a half before our wedding and was so patient with our crazy dogs in DC. Between then and the wedding, he kept in close contact and his operational processes for timelines, requesting details, and auto emails were extremely communicative and straightforward. On the way of our wedding, Rob and his second shooter, Anthony, were a dream team. Weather was weird but they took the opportunity to take memorable photos of the wedding party running from hail. His approach of taking candid, un-posed photos was perfect for my husband and I's personality. We're still waiting for our photo reveal, but we know the final product is going to be beautiful. The first photo is what he sent us the night of our wedding (SO FAST!!) and the second I screenshotted from an Instagram reel he posted. We can't wait to see the other beautiful candid shots he took that day. Thank you, Rob and Anthony, for being part of making our wedding day perfect! I'd recommend him to any of my couples any day.

My husband and I booked Rob for our wedding and engagement shoot! Working with Rob was wonderful! His photos truly captured the joy and energy of the day, especially in the candid shots! I am absolutely thrilled at how Rob was able to capture our relationship with each other, our families, and our friends! We were inspired to hire Rob after being shown some of his pictures from a friend who'd attended one of the weddings he photographed. The incredible, small details of his photos intrigued us, and his warm, friendly, easy-going personality sealed the deal. My husband and I are a bit camera-shy, but Rob was so kind and earnest and worked very hard to support us through our engagement and wedding photos. The quality of his work is incredible - he captured so many unforgettable moments and we felt truly blessed to have him supporting us on our day.

Rob's portfolio was what initially caught our attention. But he quickly became our most valuable resource during the planning process of our wedding. He was so easy to work with and always with so much enthusiasm and positivity. He's so much more than just a photographer, his guidance was crucial in helping us get organized, hit certain deadlines, and remember other little details that would have otherwise been forgotten. All that praise and we haven't even gotten to the photos themselves yet, which are worth every single cent. We cannot recommend Rob enough as a photographer - truly the best of the best!

When planning my wedding the most important part was the pictures. I found Rob on Shenandoah website since they use his pictures and I loved his pictures. During our wedding Rob was great- he captured all the right moments and i loved the candid pictures he took as well as our portraits. Everyone loved his pictures when I shared them and his professionalism and how organized he is was so great. I will recommend him to any of my families who needs a great photographer!

Working with Rob is easy, fun, and rewarding! From the very beginning when you reach out you can tell that Rob values his role as a photographer and acts with intention. He works to get to know who you are and what you're looking for. We had the pleasure of getting to work with Rob twice for our wedding(s), due to COVID, and pivoting to an elopement first and then the big day way later than planned. Through all the changes, Rob worked with us seamlessly, was really responsive and supportive. When he's taking photos he provides great direction and the results are STUNNING. His photos transport you back to the moments they were taken and are so meaningful.

Rob was the best!!! From start to finish, we had an awesome experience working with Rob. Our small wedding was in Shenandoah National Park and Rob offered great ideas of which overlook to use for the ceremony. We also did a hike with Rob at sunset and got some really beautiful shots. He was able to roll with the punches (pretty intense winds, high energy family members), came super prepared (even bringing us granola bars and flashlights for our hike), and is a consummate professional. He helped make our wedding feel really fun and memorable, and it goes without saying that he has an amazing eye for light, angles, and shot composition. We had a very small, lower-cost wedding, but we are so glad we invested in working with Rob to capture memories to last a lifetime!

Rob was absolutely great to work with! His photos are amazing, and he was able to capture some really memorable moments. We were making lots of adjustments to our plans for covid, and he was willing to work with us to make everything work out.

We got our engagement photographs with Rob, and the whole experience was fantastic. He has an incredibly professional yet friendly manner, and we had an hour long introductory meeting to discuss what we were looking for in which he was open and enthusiastic. Booking far in advance, we changed the date because of the availability of our location, and then had uncertainty as a result of the cicadas. Rob was very flexible and open-minded about our needs. When we arrived on the day, Rob had arrived 20 minutes early, meaning we could get going earlier. He was very enthusiastic and innovative at finding unusual shots, as well as the more traditional pictures. An opportunity arose to use a third "area" within our location right near the end of the session, and despite having started earlier, he used the full official "booked" time allocated to get us more pictures, which we really appreciated. His website is clean and easy to use, and in the "reveal" session online he had produced a great slideshow as well as the picture selection. The pictures themselves really captured what we were looking for, and are timeless. Highly recommend.

We could not have picked a better photographer! Rob Jinks was personable and attentive. It felt like an old friend was with us and calmed our nerves as we traversed the waterfall and hike up the mountain. His attention to detail and to our requests was superb. We had a low-budget wedding but decided to splurge on a photographer and we are SO glad we did! Rob was fantastic to work with and our photos blew us away. We picked him because his photos aren't just wedding photos - he has an amazing eye that takes the photos into the realm of art. Working with Rob was so easy! He was so responsive and flexible and did a great job getting to know us, so the photos he took really reflect our personality as a couple. Rob is an amazing photographer and I cannot recommend him enough! Rob is a very kind person and is super easy to interact and work with. He likes to get to know his clients and captures their stories and interests through his work. Rob is the opposite of pretentious, is super knowledgeable about photography and always finds ways to take artistic shots. He also does a great job of incorporating technology into his clients’ user experience – his website is easy to navigate, and he likes to use video call check-ins which are easy to schedule. Rob had photographed my friends’ wedding, so I knew he was going to be great, but I was still blown away when I saw our photos. They are absolutely beautiful and captured very artistically. Rob was easily our favorite vendor to work with. My wife did some extensive searching before she stumbled upon Rob’s Instagram. She was instantly taken back by both the style of his photos and his ability to capture the best moments of the night in such a natural way. Rob did not disappoint! He was so much fun to work with. He’s got such a cheerful personality, that helped make the whole experience so wonderful. My wife and I are avid hikers, and we wanted our engagement shoot to feature as much nature as possible. Rob helped us find the perfect location, and was willing to take us through some off the trail paths to capture some of our favorite photos from the shoot. He even recommended our wedding band, who kept all the guests dancing till the very end. The wedding photos are stunning. I’ve never had so many people compliment a choice of photographer as I did for our wedding. Rob was able to surprise us and the guests with a slide show of some early access photos from the day. It was such a unique experience, that everyone enjoyed. My uncle was even joking that people were so captivated looking at the photos they didn’t even need to talk to us. Wow. Rob did an AMAZING job with my wedding this past September, and the engagement photos we took earlier in the year. I knew photography was going to be a priority for me, so Rob was one of the first vendors we booked. I looked at dozens of photographers, and Rob really stood out. I chose Rob as our photographer based off of the emotion / vibe he was able to capture in photos, and you did an absolutely amazing job at doing exactly that. When looking through our photos, it takes me right back to the moment. There is nothing more you can ask for! Rob was also very easy to work with, organized, and flexible. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

My experience with Rob and his team was absolutely amazing! We had purchased a package deal with Rob, which included engagement photos as well as our wedding photos. Rob was very responsive, punctual and so easy to work with. Both experiences were absolutely wonderful and the picture blew us away! To top off our wonderful experience with him, he even had a surprise for all of the guests at the reception as well as a gift for us at the end of the night. Our wedding was over a month ago, and we are still getting compliments from our guest on how wonderful they were!

We contacted Rob for our engagement photo shoot at the National Harbor. From the beginning Rob was very responsive and answered all our questions. He is extremely professional, talented and creative. Rob is awesome!! We worked with him for our engagement and wedding photos, including our two young (step)kids. He was fabulous with the kiddos--very patient and coached them into adorable smiles without any cheese :). We loved working with him too. He has an easy, friendly outgoing manner and is super flexible without being shy about offering his professional opinion to get the best shot. We asked to add a second photographer for our wedding about a month out...Rob found Miles, who was just as helpful and easy to work with! Looking at the content of the photos, Rob also has a quick intuitive understanding of who to focus on and who was important to capture among our guests. He relishes finding all the beautiful little details too. Of course, the images themselves are fantastic. A couple of his photos are marquee images for Skyland Lodge and Shenandoah National Park. Rob was absolutely amazing! He was the best vendor that we had for our wedding. From the first day we met until after the wedding, he was great at always communicating with us and ensuring that we had everything that we needed and more. I would recommend him 200%. He was my right hand on the day of the wedding, kept me calm, on time and took unbelievable photos without making you feel like he was there. He captured the true essence of the day and his pictures are a true art work. My guest were so blown away and we are still receiving complements on our pictures. Hiring Rob as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding! The photos we received from both our engagement shoot and wedding day are absolutely beautiful. He took his time to naturally capture the moments that were most important to us and our personalities. Beyond the amazing pictures, Rob was professional and organized in the planning process and very comfortable to work with. After the wedding, my mom commented that it was like having a cousin taking photos- he blended in seamlessly with the group and made everyone feel at ease. Rob took all of the stress of coordinating this part of our day off of our shoulders- he was always a step ahead in working with any obstacles (like a thunderstorm and tornado warning!). Evident immediately upon his arrival were two things: the passion he has for photography and the compassion he has for those he photographs. I've historically never enjoyed having my picture taken, but I felt at ease as he captured the interactions with my family in a very natural manner rather than forced and posed shots. It wouldn't be overstatement to say that the pictures Rob took of my family are the best photos we have of the three of us, and the way he captured the happiness and energy of my son and the loveliness of my wife was peerless. Rob is seriously one of the coolest and down to earth photographers, we have ever met! My wife and I had the opportunity to work with Rob back in September for our engagement photos. Before our shoot, Rob took the time to learn more about us as a couple and the vision we had for our engagement shoot. He takes the time to ask the right questions and really understand what your specific vision is for your shoot even when you don't have a clear idea of how you would like it to go. We wanted to do an outdoor shoot in Shenandoah and with Rob's experience shooting they're he was able to provide us with a few different places we could shoot! I'm so glad we took his advice because it was spot on! We did a 20-minute hike up Little Stony Man and arrived at a backdrop from heaven! The timing and weather were perfect because Rob knew the right tools to pull this off. Our vision was to have epic photos with a scenic backdrop and let me tell you... the photos were EPIC! During the shoot, Rob was so flexible and creative in his shots. We even did a small nighttime sesh after the sun was set and somehow he caught a shooting star in our nighttime photo! If you don't believe me, look below. I could write a whole page and more of why Rob is amazing, but I think this will give you enough information to make the right choice. From the first time we made contact with Rob, I was sold by his responsiveness and friendliness. His portfolio caught my attention because I could tell he had an amazing eye for each place he photographed. For our engagement session, he was supposed to give us an hour and I am pretty sure it took 3+ hours - which he did not complain about at all and even offered an additional location! He is so passionate about what he does and is willing to wait for the perfect lighting to take the best photo. He was great at keeping in touch leading up to our wedding day and was so wonderful the day of. Rob did a great job of making sure all of our photos happened in the best lighting/scenery and most importantly in a timely fashion. He got such amazing pictures of my husband and I, the family, the wedding party, and everyone who attended the wedding. There were 2 photographers present, but it felt like there were 10 - not because of their huge presence (actually they did a great job of blending in), but because of how much they accomplished in such a short time frame. They not only took pictures of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE, but they printed out individual pictures of me and each of my bridesmaids and gave it to them as gifts, printed out some favorite photos and made a small photo book for me, AND he got a slideshow up of pictures that was running by the bar area at the reception. I honestly don't know how he and his assistant got it all done, but it was unbelievable. I had so many comments about how wonderful the photographers were and now that the pictures are out the compliments keep pouring in. I would recommend Rob to anyone who wants someone who is not only incredibly talented with a great eye, but a wonderful person who truly cares about your day.

Rob was able to capture the exact story we wanted in our engagement pictures! We searched for weeks until we found Rob and man are we happy we picked him. We did our engagement pictures in Shenandoah National Park. We wanted to do sunset pictures but also explore a little in the park. Rob found us a waterfall and we were able to do some hiking, see the falls, and get our sunset pictures! Afterwards he even treated us to some pizza!He was able to get our pictures to us quickly even during the "busy season". Rob pours his heart and soul into his work and it really shows when you see the pictures. He has a gift of being able to capture and immortalize all the love and happiness in one of the most important times in your lives. Rob Jinks is phenomenal! My husband and I were looking for someone who could photograph our wedding in an artistic way. We wanted more than your standard wedding photos and searched for weeks in hopes of finding a photographer that understood our vision. When we came across Rob's website, we felt the energy in his photos and saw that he captures the most incredible moments with his lens. You can also tell how much he loves his job the moment you speak with him. His upbeat personality, attention to detail and thoughtful questions immediately put us at ease. Our guests loved Rob! A few friends and family members commented on how engaged he was and that he gave clear instructions when trying to capture specific photos. Weddings go by quickly so you need a photographer who can direct large groups all while making them laugh. It's a talent and Rob is a pro! Rob came recommended to us by close friends. He did not disappoint. He was able to accommodate us last minute. The idea behind our shoot was unique and he did not hesitate to jump on board with little notice. This being our first time doing something like this we were quite nervous. Rob quickly dispelled those feelings. Shortly after meeting him we felt comfortable in the moment. He provided excellent guidance throughout the experience. We really enjoyed the creativity of his photos, and he welcomed our suggestions for certain shots. Afterwards Rob did a fantastic job of setting expectations on timelines. Rob was fantastic . He was extremely organized, did not waste any time organizing the various members of The Bridal party and extended family. He had the list ready to go ! He captured many beautiful spontaneous moments of Greg and Alyson, not only for the wedding day but the engagement photos as well. The engagement photo session was held at Manassas Battlefield. One of the memorable shots was towards the end of the day with Greg and Alyson standing on a hill and a cloud was behind them making it look like the two of them were rising up into the cloud. One of the biggest pieces of advice I received while planning my wedding was to make sure I had a good photographer. After working with Rob, I wholeheartedly agree with that advice! A friend of mine attended a wedding which Rob photographed, so she showed me his blog post from that wedding and I was very impressed. Rob was very easy to work with - responsive, friendly, proactive, and organized. He helped me plan out my wedding day itinerary to maximize the best photo opportunities, while still getting to enjoy the reception as much as possible. Our wedding party and relatives all commented how fun and personable Rob was. Just a few days after the wedding, Rob posted a blog post with a preview of our photos. Then, only a couple weeks later, he had finished the entire gallery of our pictures! The turnover time was amazing, and even better than that, the pictures were absolutely breathtaking. My friends and I were in tears reliving the day and seeing just how beautifully Rob captured the entire day. Rob truly does tell a story with his photos - you could feel the emotions and the love just by clicking through the gallery. I feel so lucky to have had Rob capture our wedding in pictures and I would absolutely recommend him.

We hired Rob for our engagement session and wedding after seeing fantastic his work from our friends' wedding, and we are so happy we got to work with him. Rob was patient and flexible throughout our engagement shoot - he is pretty hands-off and appreciates the candid moments, so I had to ask him to make sure we weren't making any crazy faces. I can't stop looking at my wedding pictures!!!! They are gorgeous. I've received SO many compliments on our engagement and wedding pictures. I am so happy we chose Rob as our photographer. He is very professional and friendly. Rob has an amazing eye for finding the beauty and uniqueness in every moment and capturing it. Our engagement pictures were taken at the Shenandoah National Park and the pictures were breathtaking. Rob's pictures are so real, natural, and candid. Looking back through our wedding pictures, I was amazed at how stealthy Rob and his assistant were, I didn't even notice their presence for some of the pictures yet they were able to capture everything! Rob is very reasonably priced and he really is one of the best wedding decisions we made. There really aren't enough words to describe how happy we are with his services.

Rob has done three shoots for our family now, including a newborn shoot, and we would never use anyone else after seeing his beautiful work and artistry. He is also friendly, down to earth, and easy to work with, and he works quickly. Highly recommended!!

If we had to name the wedding decisions we were the most happy about, choosing Rob Jinks as our Photographer would be one of those decisions. He was very personable, friendly, and professional. Our engagement shoot was in Washington, DC and after meeting him and seeing the photos from that shoot, we immediately felt relaxed because we knew our wedding would be in good hands. He took the time to get to know us and the type of photos we were most interested in. His work is absolutely stunning and our photos turned out far beyond our expectations. We got married in Shenandoah, and Rob was very excited to try an idea with us, to hike to the top of Stony Man for a photoshoot in our wedding dress and suit. We are so happy we went for it because, the photos turned out incredible! They looked like they were straight out of a romance movie ;) In addition, he caught lots of wonderful candid moments that covered everything from our special day and tell an amazing story of our wedding. We never expected to have such memorable and beautiful wedding photos. We will always recommend Rob to our friends and family and we know if you choose Rob, it'll be one of your best wedding decisions.

Rob was the perfect choice to photograph our wedding! He delivered amazing photographs beyond our expectations. Initially when I was looking for a photographer, I came across his page on WeddingWire and really liked his photography style. My now-husband, who's into photography as a hobby and understands quality better than I do, also LOVED his work. I contacted him to get an idea of what his price range would be and he gave a very reasonable quote. But more importantly, what stood out to me was that he seemed willing to go above and beyond. The reason that was important to me was because we had an Indian wedding with multiple days of events - which would have been his first Indian wedding. Initially I was skeptical about whether he'd be able to capture the events well without having any background in Indian weddings, since the ceremony (and everything else) is very different! However, he made me feel comfortable because it was so obvious that he was excited about the idea of taking on a new challenge and was willing to go above and beyond to do a good job, meaning: research on Indian weddings, meeting and discussing with me often to go over things specific to our wedding, site visit to the locations of the events to walk through the plan for the day, etc. On the day of, I got so many compliments from all our guests about how great Rob was. He was all over the place, going above and beyond to capture pictures from so many different angles and viewpoints and backgrounds. And he managed to capture the day perfectly without getting being disruptive (that's a big deal for Indian weddings, where guests are used to never being able to see anything because the photographers take over). Needless to say, the pictures are phenomenal, and it's because he captured the day so perfectly! Going through the pics made me feel like I was reliving the day all over again, which was exactly what I wanted out of my wedding pictures. If you're looking for a photographer, go with Rob!

Hiring Rob was one of the easiest choices that we had to make. Rob was recommended to us by our venue, and after one look at his portfolio we were hooked. We hired Rob for both our engagement shoot and wedding, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Rob is an AMAZING photographer, and absolutely wonderful to work with!! For our engagement pictures, Rob met us at Shenandoah National Park at 7am to catch the sunrise. It was a chilly October morning, and my fiancé and I are not the most comfortable in front of cameras, but Rob talked to us as if we’d known each other for years, and completely put us at ease. The pictures were gorgeous, and we got them back so quickly that we used them for our Save-the-Date. Rob had Adam as his assistant photographer for our wedding day, and the two of them were a wonderful team! Rob was with me and my bridesmaids as we got ready, and was so unobtrusive that we forgot he was there. Adam was with the groom and groomsmen, and thanks to his pictures I can tell they had a blast. The rest of the photos turned out beautifully, especially for our outdoor ceremony! Each time we look at our pictures, we are struck by how wonderfully he captured special moments throughout the day. The candid shots are absolutely priceless! Rob posted a picture on Facebook the morning after our wedding, posted a special one of me and my mom for Mother’s Day (this really made her day special), and he placed a 'sneak peek' on his blog three weeks after the wedding. We are very pleased with the shots and have received so many compliments from friends and family. Rob is confident, direct, creative, and can get a large group together and looking their best within seconds! He took an unbelievable amount of photos, edited them all for an unbeatable price, and turned them around very quickly! I highly recommend Rob to anyone looking for a true professional that will make you look your best in photographs that will last for generations.

Rob shot our wedding on 4/29/2016 and we couldn't be happier with our pics! He was so easy to work with and made us feel so comfortable. We've never had professional pictures done so we had no idea what to expect. He captured all of the important moments, as well as the fun and casual moments. I would highly recommend Rob Jinks Photography. If we had to get married again, we would definitely have Rob shoot! It really helped when he provided us a "menu" giving us ideas for some of the formal pics (bride family, groom family, etc). He is a truly talented artist and his caring and love of photography sure shows in his work!

I first met Rob through Allegro when I signed up for photography lessons. I was so impressed with his teaching that I hired him for our very first family shoot. He made us feel comfortable with his low stress approach to posing. The time he spent with us was very generous as I had given him a wish list of photography ideas. He came through on all of them. A professional through and through and just a great guy to work with. We will use him again and you should, too!!

Amazing!!! Our wedding photos are absolutely stunning. We were a little concerned that we wouldn't have many pictures we liked as our location wasn't the most picturesque, but he put his magic touch on what he had to work with. Rob accommodated our requests and also proposed some additional creative shots. His use of light and angles was superb.

Rob was outstanding to work with and gave us amazing photographs that we’ll able to look back on for many years to come! We have used Robert Jinks Photography for several events - headshots for our teachers, camp and theatre performances at a non-profit arts school. Most recently we hired him to photograph my father's burial at Arlington Cemetery. Rob rarely "stages" a picture; he is great at capturing those intimate, casual photos. You just never know he's there! When he does want to stage pictures he is quick and makes the process as painless as possible. Even my husband who HATES for his picture to be taken enjoys the process and working with Rob. He has an incredible eye for composition and interest. Every time we've worked with Rob we have explained what we wanted then never worried about the outcome. I can't think of anyone I'd rather work with in this capacity.

Rob was an excellent wedding photographer throughout the entire process. His photos were fantastic and many of our guests mentioned they were some of the best wedding photos they've ever seen. Rob is very hard working, organized, and has a great eye for grabbing the perfect shot -- this can be seen in the quality of his work. Rob has the perfect mix of skills to make an excellent photographer. He has the creative eye for the task but is also very organized. One of the things that we really liked was that Rob was not intrusive! I did not notice him at all during the ceremony but the pictures from the ceremony were my favorites.

Rob did an amazing job taking pictures at my wedding. It was a laid back wedding, which had to have made things challenging for him, as we didn't have much of a schedule leading up to the wedding itself, and we had lots of family members and small children, but he did a wonderful job of getting the pictures and staying calm through the whole thing. He worked well with everyone, and managed to get all the pictures we wanted, even with all the craziness of the day and people running off elsewhere. He did an amazing job.
