Robert was a great choice for us. He was fun and patient with us on the wedding day. He got some of our pictures up on Facebook that night which was really cool so we could share them with our friends. He is incredibly talented and is just a nice genuine man. He was worth every cent.

Robert was great to work with! His personality puts you at ease and he's got an innate ability to beautifully capture the emotions of the day. I couldn't be happier with our photos or my experience working with him.

Every time I look at our Wedding Book, I feel like I am back in the moment. Robert's work embraced every detail and he had the best personality of all of our vendors. Even my husband liked him...and my husband is hard to please. Just a fantastic person with untouchable qualities!

In my opinion, one of the most important elements of your big day is having an awesome photographer, and Robert did not disappoint. Unlike some of those big companies that have tons of photographers who dont have the experience, when you go with Robert Bruce Photography you get the man himself. He has a small studio in Royal Oak, but the environment is very relaxed and inviting. Whenever we would meet with him it always lasted at least 90 minutes because we had such good conversation talking about everything from my wife's schooling to weddings he shot overseas. He is a very down to earth guy and you can really tell that he truly wants the best for the couples he takes on. We shot our engagement pictures at Greenfield Village in November 2013 and Robert knew exactly where to go to get the most amazing shots. Also, engagement photos can be a very nervous event since this is usually the first time that the engaged couple has taken professional pictures together. However, Robert was talking the whole time and my wife and I felt completely comfortable. He had us laughing the entire day and made our experience that much better. During the wedding day, he was very efficient and knew exactly what shots he wanted and where he wanted them. All of my groomsmen loved his personality and he worked well with our family. During the ceremony and reception I barely even noticed he was around! Which is how it should be! I've seen some photographers that are in your face, but Robert gets the shots he needs while not intruding on the bride and groom. I cannot wait to see how the pictures turn out and I would highly recommend him to everyone looking for an awesome photographer that makes your wedding day easy and fun!

Robert Bruce Photography was amazing! Robert and his assistant showed up on time and helped with many of the details throughout our day. They were extremely easy to work with and the pictures were phenomenal. The only downside I had with the entire experience was that I wish we would have planned to have more time to take photos. My husband and I agreed to see each other before the ceremony in order to have more time for our pictures and Robert helped to make that just as special as seeing one another at the ceremony. I would completely recommend using Robert Bruce Photography. If I had to do it over again I would!

Robert and staff are amazing from beginning to end. Our meetings were more about getting to know us, and us him, than discussing our wedding day. They were very professional yet very easy going and easy to talk to. Robert and Jim made us feel very relaxed yet kept the day moving and also gave us direction on posing that was very simple. He took the time to pose all of the large family shots so they looked a lot cleaner. Two weeks later when our pictures were ready they were AMAZING! I felt like I was right back at my wedding day. We have been getting wonderful comments from anyone that we have shown them. I have recommended them to quite a few people who are or will be looking for a photographer soon!

I really enjoyed working with Robert and Kevin at my sister's wedding. They were so easy going and had good personalities. They also take wonderful and artistic photographs. Robert Bruce is an amazing photographer! He photographed my wedding over 9 years ago and I still have people talking about the images. I am now a photographer myself and I am still in awe of and inspired by Robert's work. He has a way of making each person comfortable to allow for natural expressions throughout the event. He has an amazing way of capturing every single aspect of the event too. I am still amazed at all of the moments he was able to capture. Robert has done some family sessions for me also throughout the years and I continue to be in awe of his gift. He is simply the best guy for the job!

Robert Bruce is worth every penny! From the second my husband and I sat down with Robert in his studio he made us feel welcome and comfortable. He instantly took away my stress when he had our day planned out in 5 min, he knows what he is doing. We also had our engagement photo's done with Robert and created our save the dates with him. Every step of the process with him was easy and fun! He is not only a brilliant, talented, and artistic photographer but an amazing human being. We liked going to his studio, we couldn't wait to have him at our big day just so we could hang out with him! He is full of life and so fun to be around, all my guests and my wedding party felt comfortable and loved being around him. I've only seen a few photo's from our big day so far but I know when I get them all back that I will be beyond impressed. He was truly the best decision we made in our wedding planning, I wouldn't change a thing.

Robert was great! He took amazing shots and captured our day. He even walked the mile from the church to our venue and took pictures of my husband and I, and our wedding party through the streets of Detroit. These were some of our favorite photos!

we have not received our photos yet, but the entire experience was positive up to this point. He knew what he was doing, and acted accordingly. Though he didn't get every portrait idea we hoped for, he was accommodating with our Dog in the photos and very friendly. He was great at the event, as we didn't see him "in the middle" of everything, but could tell photos were being taken.

Robert is wonderful...he has a very personable personality, he is extremely talented and quick with proofs and final album. He is very professional but made our families and wedding party feel comfortable (even the ones who don't like to be photographed!)

In all the weddings I have attended, I have never seen a photographer go so out of their way to get a perfect shot. All of the guests at my wedding commented about how great Robert was. I just got my proofs back today, and they are above and beyond anything I expected.

Robert was the photographer for my best friend's wedding. She couldn't be happier with the experience and I saw her photos and they are beautiful. He also did an amazing job keeping everyone organized but still made us feel relaxed. I have already decided that Robert is going to be the photographer for my wedding. My husband and I met in a photography class, so finding the perfect photographer for our wedding was a must. We met with a dozen different wedding photographers before we met Robert, after spending five minutes with him we knew he was exactly what we were looking for. Robert has a wonderful eye for capturing the moment and a great personality. He did such an incredible job on our wedding photos that we now use him for all of our family photos. He just took the most amazing photos of our newborn daughter.

Robert Bruce photographed my daughters wedding 5 years ago.The wedding took place on a beach in key west Florida.The photographs where amazingly beautiful. From before the ceremony photos to the sun melting down into the water. Robert made my daughters day that much more special. Everyone enjoyed his jokes and had a great time with him. The cost was very affordable and the proof albums are wonderful. By looking threw them is like reliving the moment over again.The wedding album is amazing and was completed in 6 weeks! When my daughter and I went to Roberts studio we new we did not have to seek out any further for a photographer. His studio is beautiful and so comfortable you loose track of time being there. LOVE LOVE LOVE my photos. He did such an amazing job capturing our wedding. Not only is he a great photographer but his price was the best I found in the quality we were looking for. We looked at many others and over all he was far the best. He was also the only one we had seen that gives you all the proofs from our wedding and there must be 600 or more. I would use him for sure. Just make sure you book early. He seems to book up fast !

Robert shot my wedding over 5 years ago. His eye for what is most important to a bride on her wedding day is right on point. Robert's photo journalistic style is what drew me to his work in the first place. It captures the true emotion of my husband and I and our guests. He has an eye for art, color and layout. But what ultimately sold me on Robert was the way I was treated from the moment I walked into his studio. He was friendly, fun to talk to, and he spent a lot of time with me, discussing wedding photos and getting to know me. My husband and I opted for the platinum package because we thought the parent albums would make great gifts. And compared to other photographers in the area, it was actually an awesome value! After the wedding, we are still glad we made this investment. Like everyone says, the photos and video are really all you have left when it's all said and done. So on the day of the wedding, Robert and his assistant were on time....EARLY, actually! They dressed professionally and were discreet. I was a little nervous as I was getting my make up and hair done, but Robert provided some comic relief and got me laughing HYSTERICALLY... he's a really funny guy. All of my wedding party loved working with him. The groomsmen were amused by the lengths he went to in order to achieve the perfect shot :) What really impressed me was how Robert dealt with a challenge. 5 minutes before the wedding ceremony began, my Reverend mentioned to Robert that they would not be allowed to use flash photography. (I was not aware of this either). He and his assistant handled it professionally worked quickly to make the equipment adjustments necessary to comply with Reverend's request. Robert and I had friended each other on Facebook, and by the next morning, he had already edited a handful of his favorite photos and posted them on my Wall. :) That meant a lot to me because my friends and family were excited to see some of the final product so quickly. When we got back from our honeymoon, he had the proofs ready. Ladies: I consider myself an average-looking girl. Robert made me look LIKE A MODEL in these photos... no joke. Not only did Robert take amazing "artsy" shots, he was very good about getting all the formal shots that all the family members like to have. I have no complaints about Robert Bruce photography. My entire experience has been positive and I highly recommend him for your wedding. He did more than just take pictures... he made the day more memorable and then captured it all for us to relive whenever we look through our album.

Robert was so flexible and made us feel completely at ease prior to the wedding as well as day of. He is a definite calming presence. We wanted to get some larger family shots and he provided us with a plan to organize the groups immediately following the ceremony. The turnaround time for the proofs was amazing---his staff were calling me as we stepped of the plane from our honeymoon 13 days after the wedding! The pictures are amazing, exactly what I was looking for. Robert is very familar with our wedding site--the Inn at St John's in Plymouth and as a result knew exactly where to take pictures.
