I held my wedding here in October 2023. The church is absolutely beautiful, modern, and communication leading up to the wedding weekend was satisfactory.
However, our in-person experience with chapel staff was less than pleasant. Staff member Audrey, was present during the rehearsal and wedding ceremony, and was unkind/snarky to myself and others on both days that we interacted with her. Several bridal party and family members commented on her poor attitude and commented that she was rude on both days. She seemed unprepared and was easily irritated with questions from the bridal party. This was upsetting as we were all there to celebrate a happy occasion.
We also were aware that our time at the chapel was to conclude at a very specific time. Our party was outside and taking our final photo when staff member Lisa literally stood in front of our photographer to signal that our time was up. This was just one instance in which I felt that she was overstepping boundaries on the day of.
Overall, the church and the surrounding grounds are amazing, but the chapel staff need some serious customer service training and an attitude check. I wouldn't recommend Robert Carr Chapel to other brides unless there was a change of staff.
Our wedding was so special having our ceremony here! The staff was fantastic and helped us stay on track and organized!
The chapel is beautiful and the staff is professional and punctual. Everyone was very responsive to any questions we had during the billing process, walk through and of course the weekend of. Marialice the organist did a beautiful job and our chapel contact On the day of Abby was no nonsense and helped move everything along.
As TCU alums, getting married at Robert Carr was the obvious choice. The booking process was very easy and TCU alums receive a discounted rate. Mallory is very accessible which made it easy to keep up with all the changes we had to make with rescheduling twice during Covid. Marialice was phenomenal on the organ and worth every penny. Lisa Swain ran the most seamless rehearsal and actual ceremony I've ever seen.
This chapel is so beautiful, and with the natural light and ample seating, it made our wedding beautiful! We have gotten so many compliments on how beautiful our ceremony venue is. We were able to bring in our pastor from my husband's home church, which was a huge plus for us. We used Betty through TCU as our organist, and it made the feel of the day amazing. Mallory was prompt and professional in communication the whole time and was one of our favorite vendors to work with. Our only complaint was that we felt a little rushed at the rehearsal since a group was going right after us, but this was not a surprise since we knew other weddings would be going on the next day. I would definitely recommend Robert Carr Chapel to anyone looking for a wedding venue in Fort Worth!
Robert Carr was the perfect spot for our ceremony. It is beautifully re-done. The team was very easy to work with and made the rehearsal and ceremony run smoothly. I highly recommend this beautiful space!
First off, I have to say it has been a dream of my mine to get married at the Robert Carr Chapel ever since I was a freshman at TCU. To say it was a dream come true is definitely an understatement. The renovations are incredible and it is honestly one of the dreamiest places to get married. It was bright and airy even on a relatively cloudy day, perfect for our natural light photographer. Mallory was so incredibly helpful and extremely prompt with emails. Parking was very clearly marked for our guests (even amongst all the construction). The only thing that wasn’t completely perfect was maybe the bridal room. There was a full sized mirror set up, but the room is used as a classroom during the week so not as “bridal” as I would have liked. Not a huge deal though (and definitely should not sway anyone’s decision) as we mostly got ready in the reception venue. At the end of day, it was a dream, and I would highly recommend!
Robert Carr Chapel was a dream come true! My husband and I both attended TCU so Robert Carr was a must for us to book once we got engaged! I contacted the chapel on a Sunday and heard back that next day regarding availabilities! The Chapel is so beautiful, you do not even need much decor - we just had two floral arrangements at the altar and that was plenty! We did not want to take away from the natural beauty of the chapel. Mallory was absolutely fantastic to work with and soooooo organized! I would highly recommend Rober Carr Chapel!!
Having our Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel at TCU was the best decision that we could have made. From touring the space and signing the contract to our "day of" coordinator and the chapel musician - everything was absolutely PERFECT. The space is so gorgeous and hardly needed any type of decoration and the pictures turned out beautifully. A huge thank you to everyone on staff at Robert Carr who made our wedding ceremony everything we could have dreamed of.
Mallory Nason was our wedding coordinator for our ceremony and she was INCREDIBLE! I felt like every detail was going to be taken care, she was the greatest joy to work with, ensured everything went well, and went above and beyond even though it was so rainy she ensured it all went so smoothly so God got glorified! We are so thankful to the TCU chapel for being the place we said I do, and it was such a joyful experience through Mallory's hard work. She facilitated our rehearsal and made sure we were in the right places whenever we needed and was super calm, chill, and fun! Couldn't suggest getting married here more and working with Mallory! She rocks!!
As a fellow TCU Alumni, it was an absolute dream to get married here! The Robert Carr staff was very easy to work with and made the day-of the most seamless event - I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience! My only advice would be that if you are considering Robert Carr for your big day, ACT FAST! As you can imagine, dates get filled up quickly... however, Robert Carr is VERY responsive so I'm sure they can help work something out!
From the first time I saw this chapel, I fell in love. It felt like a dream having our wedding ceremony there. We got married on 08/06/17, and it was newly renovated this summer. We were actually one of the first couples that were able to use it since the beautiful renovations. We had a string trio play during the ceremony, and the acoustics in the building were AMAZING. The staff were super friendly, and they knew exactly what to do to make everything run so smoothly. It was perfect.
This chapel is perfect for anyone looking to have a simple, classic, and elegant ceremony. The chapel itself is absolutely stunning and speaks for itself. The staff is also amazing to work with and are with you every step of the way for any questions or planning you have. Definitely recommend, we were absolutely ecstatic at how everything turned out for our wedding.
An absolutely beautiful location! They are quite busy with multiple weddings a day but their staff is very organized and everything ran smoothly. Betty Boles was our organist - she was wonderful. The music sounds so wonderful in this venue.
The chapel is beautiful, classic and picturesque with grand pillars outside and inside! The staff were amazingly helpful booking the date, answering questions and on the day of! I would recommend this to anyone, plus if you're an alum of TCU, they discount your rate!
We chose to have our wedding at Robert Carr because it was one of the few chapels in the area where we could have a legitimate Catholic wedding. The ladies here were so amazing. We didn't have a wedding planner and to be honest, because they were so helpful and on top of things, I'm glad we didn't spend the money because it would have been a waste. They made us feel right at home, answered any and all questions and made things run very smooth, I had no worries the day of the wedding thanks to them. Also, the venue itself is just so classic and quaintl. Many brides fill the church with lots of flowers, but here it would just take away from it's simplistic beauty. This is typically a difficult ceremony venue to book being it is part of TCU, but if you book it on their homecoming you'll have no trouble at all (conicidentally this is why we were able to book a year out). At the end of the day, I'm so happy and excited to have our wedding day memories from Robert Carr.
We had a great experience from booking to day of, everything was smooth. Very helpful and communicate very well.
The chapel is beautiful and romantic; however, the chapel coordinators are the worst I have ever worked with... very rude and even messed up the ceremony processional.
The TCU Robert Carr Chapel was an amazing wedding venue! As a TCU alumni, I was thrilled to be able to have my wedding here!! It is a very popular venue, so you will need to contact them far in advance to secure the time slot and date you desire. They offer the services of a skilled organist for an additional fee. We had Betty Boles and she was fantastic! The organ is a MUST in the chapel. The sound consumes the chapel and adds a beautiful touch to the ceremony.
