I was so impressed as she scrambled around the rocks with all her camera gear to get the perfect shots of us climbing and playing around. The sunset Mammoth shoot was amazing too: as the weather changed from rain to overcast to shinning sun, she was prepared for it all and caught *amazing* photos. Plus it was so fun getting to know her and her husband! All four of us had a blast, and got some of the most epic, stunning photos! At the wedding itself, she and her second photographer were everywhere all at the same time! She caught so many small moments, snapshots in time that really captured the most meaningful parts of the wedding for me. I'm usually not much of a crier, but there are a few photos she caught that make me cry literally every time I look at them -- they capture emotions and memories that bring me right back to the happiest, most precious moments of my life :) One more thing: my family can be a handful -- there are a lot of us, full of photo-arrangement desires and suggestions, and boy are we hard to wrangle. Yet somehow, Roberta made it all happen for the family photos! And she did so leaving everyone hugely impressed. Several family members (both grandmothers, two aunts, and my parents) came up to me separately to tell me how impressed they were with Roberta. Whenever we reminisce about the wedding, they always bring up her name in awe of what a tremendous job she did. Believe me, that's about the highest praise one can get!

But there was one vendor we refused to leave to chance, our wedding photographer. Inclement weather or not, we wanted the best photographer to capture the beauty of our Italian wedding. We planned our entire wedding date around Roberta Nicole Photography because that was the only time Roberta was available to travel to Italy with us. Fortunate doesn’t begin to describe how we felt to work with Roberta. Her prep work began long before arriving in Italy; researching the surrounding village, sending us pictures of locations where we could take our personal photos, and monitoring the weather. Four days before we were to say I DO, the wedding planner bumped our wedding date up, but that didn’t faze Roberta. Arriving in Umbria, she scoped out the villa, planned her shots, considered lighting and calculated last minute changes with an enthusiastic eye. She was thorough and committed to providing the best service possible. Relaxed and with a confident demeanor; Roberta was easy to work with, diminishing the anxiety and stress of such a big occasion. She is prompt, stays on schedule and is sensitive to couples who want her to capture every moment of their special day, but who also want to spend quality time celebrating with family and friends. In spite of our cold windy day, her exceptional talent is evident in her beautiful photos, especially when it came to capturing the best light. Our engagement photos and wedding day photos were absolutely stunning. Not only is she very creative and has an amazing eye for the shots, she is the utmost professional. For our engagement session, we picked two locations and when we arrived, Roberta had already been there for quite a while scouting for the best spots to shoot so we didn’t waste any time and got great photos. Same thing for the wedding as she drove on her own time from Carlsbad up to Huntington Beach to make sure she was familiar with our venue. We opted to not hire a second shooter for our wedding day with 200 guests to save money and from the photos that we received, you would think we had a team of photographers. Roberta single handedly captured every moment of our special day without a detail missed!! Not only that, Roberta kept everyone on schedule and made sure everyone knew what they needed to do and where they needed to be. If you’re looking for a photographer, look no more! The next day she told me that she had scouted the location herself! Given that this was a several mile hike, I consider this to be well above expectation.
