Rock Creek Mansion welcomes you and your guests with a classic first impression with its fieldstone entrance and circular driveway. The property’s expansive lawn offers an array of lush space with a grove of mature trees providing a natural backdrop for photoshoots or intimate ceremonies. The patio on the lawn gives privacy with the surrounding foliage separating the property from the residential area, while still giving a right-at-home vibe. Guests can pass the threshold of the manor to a cozy lounge featuring a toasty fireplace to warm you up during the winter evenings. The location is in close proximity to DC and northern Virginia, and a variety of hotels are a quick drive away for a convenient stay.
Rock Creek Mansion can host weddings with guests lists from 50 to 200, from casual to sophisticated. The main ballroom on the first floor and outdoor patio can seat up to 160 people for the ceremony or reception. Its large windows provide natural light with an idyllic view for day occasions, while the chandeliers wall sconces create a romantic mood during evening affairs. The covered patio provides space for guests to take a break from dancing underneath the stars. The onsite staff have years of experience with weddings and a talent in customer service, and will work to make your dream wedding a reality. Tables and chairs will be set up by staff to best suit your indoor or outdoor ceremony. Private changing rooms for the couple and their entourage are available in the mansion for the parties to get ready in luxury. Afterwards, they can cascade down the foyer’s graceful staircase for the grand entrance or wedding portraits. For cocktail hour, guests can enjoy the built-in bar near the lounge area, with a flat screen TV and team of skilled bartenders. The events directors also have a list of vendors they’d be happy to recommend to you, from caterers to floral designers to photographers.

use. Julie, the events coordinator, was another big reason we picked Rock Creek because she was so sweet, helpful, and easy to work with. She met with us several times including with both of our moms so they could see the space. We were also able to drop off decor the day before the wedding, which was super helpful. I also appreciated their list of suggested caterers, because we were able to find the fantastic Simply Fresh, and they knew the space and Julie very well which made everything smoother. The ballroom really is a blank canvas that you can transform to meet your needs. We fit around ~100 guests very comfortably and had a good sized dance floor. We used their tables (but rented different chairs), which saved us money as well. The back yard is also beautiful; we planned for our cocktail hour to be out on the patio with a tent, but because of stormy weather it had to be partially inside. We were also able to do bridal party portraits in the back yard. The location is also nice in that it has ample parking and is very close to hotels and downtown Bethesda. And the location was ideal for what we wanted to do, with beautiful grounds for the ceremony, a great patio for a cocktail hour with our three piece band and a fantastic hall for the reception, hosting a band w/ a dance floor, ~120 guests and great bar room where we put up works, etc., related to our wedding. We had a wedding with multiple colors, 8 to be exact, and everything looked beautiful!

price down. Rock Creek Mansion was just right for us. There was a great outdoor space we were able to use for the ceremony and the ballroom was just the right size for our party of about 130 people.
