This venue was AMAZING! It was so nice to be able to have everyone at the same hotel and at the same location as our reception and ceremony! We got so lucky with our timing, a couple days after they had a huge flood in Red Lodge, but Rock Creek Survived! we will definitely be coming back for an anniversary trip in the future.
Con: I hate to complain, but the only thing I would say is that the cell service is very tricky. If you really need to communicate with like wedding planners or vendors- make sure you have back up plans (walkie talkies or stay close to the wifi hot spots) or just go with the flow, it wasn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things and it helped for the ceremony ;) no ringing phones!
some of the rooms could use an update, but that was part of the charm in my opinion It was a big time resort amenities, with a small town friendly vibe. sometimes we had issues with the room reservations, but it all got sorted out and was perfect in the end. They are good people and will make sure everything is right.
Pro: BEAUTIFUL! the creek was so relaxing to step out to after dancing up a storm, the mountains are gorgeous, the log cabin/twin elk lodge was perfect for all of the girls to get ready in. Kelly ended up feeling like family at the end of the whole thing. She was so helpful and treated us and all our our guest like her own friends and family.
THE FOOD! due to covid and just crazy times, we were not able to do a tasting, but let me tell ya.... you don't need to. The food was AMAZING! our planners boxed up some leftovers for us and you better believe we ate all of them the next day.
The field we were married in was beautiful. The ballroom was transformed into something that looked like it would have cost us $30K but it was only 3K!
The staff was friendly and accommodating. But most importantly our friends and family from out of town loved the resort and the fact we were all together.
This was a beautiful location for my winter wedding. I liked how it accommodated all of my out of town guests, ceremony and reception all in one place. The food was great and so was the service. Sometimes it was difficult to get the answers I needed long distance as I was planning from across country. The pictures online weren't really helpful and my guests room reservations were messed up a few times and then they contacted me to get their information straight when I wish they wouldn't have bothered me and just called the people booking the room themselves. It was also disappointing that the hot tub was broken. Overall it was beautiful and am lad I had my wedding here.
The location of this venue is stunning. The peacefulness of the creek in the background while being nestled in the mountains made it like a dream. So many of our guest complimented the location and the views at the resort. The rooms could definitely use some updating and the beds are somewhat uncomfortable but this didn't take away from the overall experience of having our wedding here. We had our wedding in the chapel and the reception in the main ballroom downstairs. I made a lot of the decorations myself and they let us do basically whatever we wanted with the decorations.
The two negatives I have about this venue are the reservations process and the coordinator for weddings. We had a lot of miscommunications with our reservations and a lot of confusion that could have been avoided had the reservations process been more streamlined. Many of our guests were turned away from our room block and it was extremely frustrating, as the bride, to have to deal with that. As for the coordinator I was never quite satisfied with her performance. She seemed to know what she was doing but was never as supportive or energetic as I had hoped. She made me feel like I was just another sale and that she was only concerned with getting her paycheck from our wedding rather than helping make our experience one-of-a-kind.
We still had an amazing day- the rest of the staff was above and beyond and everything went off without a hitch! (except for the rain on our outdoor ceremony) I've loved the pictures from here and still wouldn't have wanted to choose anywhere else to have our wedding!
There are many options for your wedding and reception and the resort staff is very accomodating to your wishes. Great views for all events and stunning ballrooms.
Everyone at the resort was fabulous and very attentive to anything that I needed!!
This venue was amazing! Not only was it absolutely beautiful, but it was a one stop shop! I loved that they did the catering there! They were so communicative and SO understanding and flexible with us! Especially when we needed to change the date a month out. Everything was so clear cut and Holly, who helped us draw up our contract, was so helpful with any questions we had. The day of ran so smoothly and everything was fantastic. The banquet manager played the music for our ceremony, we had hors d'ouerves and sparkling cider butlered, the food was fantastic and it all came at a reasonable price! We couldn't have asked for more!
