The Rockford City Market building dates back to 1921 where it was originally one of the
first Harley Davidson dealerships in existence! In every corner of our building, guests are
able to experience the rich history of the space. Our venue is a combination of industrial,
historic, and modern styles.
The Market Venue has two event spaces: the Bowtruss Room and the Market Hall. The
Bowtruss Room boasts high ceilings, exposed brick, and a second floor outdoor balcony.
Our Market Hall showcases minimalism with white walls and contemporary, glass
garage doors.
Located in the heart of downtown Rockford, The Market Venue is surrounded by
everything you and your guests need for a full wedding weekend. From a nearby hotel and
vibrant murals, to locally loved restaurants, bars, and boutiques, anything you may need is
just steps away. Whether your guests are coming in from near or far, downtown Rockford

Maya, the day-of and event coordinator, made sure everything was perfect for us. I didn’t have to do anything the morning of the wedding and it was so wonderful to know Maya had it taken care of. Our day was perfect, and we loved the ability to use both spaces, the bakery for ice cream, and outside for some fun pictures. Thank you to The Market!!

We had our wedding ceremony in the Market Hall and the reception in the Bowtruss room this October - we could not have asked for a better venue. From when we booked a little over a year ago, the constant communication with Maya, the wedding day coordinator, was beyond helpful. She responded to any questions or concerns I had in a short time over email. The rehearsal the night before and the actual wedding day, everything went smoothly thanks to her coordination. Beyond that, the Market Hall was a beautiful place to have our ceremony with the pillars and all white walls. The Bowtruss room looked gorgeous with the natural lighting and when the sun went down, the dimmed lights in there really started the party. An added plus was the balcony off to the side as we had many guests enjoying the cool October night and connecting there. We have had numerous guests tell us that our wedding was the most fun they have ever been to and how they loved the whole wedding was in one building - that we had all to ourselves nonetheless! With the bridal and groom suites also available, it was truly a fun day of getting ready with our bridal party and family before the wedding and as easy as taking the elevator downstairs to get married. Also, the location being right next to train tracks and the river made for some great wedding pictures!

There are truly not enough words to describe how much I loved The Market for our wedding. It was everything AND more. You truly truly don't need much with their bowtruss room either. The space on its own says it all! The brick wall, the windows, the lighting, it was everything. The best part about our experience with this venue other than it being absolutely gorgeous - is their event specialist - Amy! From the very beginning she was the most helpful, genuine, sweet, professional person. She communicated with us so well and was always ready to answer all of my millions of questions. She was also our rock on our wedding day. I am so so happy we hired her to be with us the day of. It was something I'd do over and over again. She made sure we were always on track, doing whatever she could to make sure my husband and I were enjoying ourselves, providing emotional support and everything in between. Truly an amazing person. I could go on and on about my experience but I'll end this review by saying you will NOT regret choosing Rockford City Market as your wedding venue.

The whole process with Amy at City Market was perfect from beginning to end. Communication was great, and even though our event was small, a graduation party, I felt our party was just as important as any other. Amy and the bartender were wonderful, very professional and helpful!

Had the BEST experience using the Rockford City Market for our wedding reception venue. The space was absolutely gorgeous, the bridal suite was an awesome space for the entire bridal party to get ready, and Amy was amazing to work with. She was so accommodating to our requests, responded quickly to any questions we had, and was such a sweet person to work with. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great space to use!

We had our wedding at Rockford City Market in October of 2023. The venue was beautiful and the day of coordinator, Amy, was incredible. I credit her for our day running so smoothly. She helped with so many details and was quick to respond to any questions we had and gave me times she was available by phone or in person. I thought our wedding was perfect! I would definitely recommend to anyone planning a wedding to consider Rockford City Market for their big day!

I loved this venue. It was perfect. The layout was perfect. And it was absolutely beautiful. We had a HUGE bridal suite and the groomsmen enjoyed their hang out room too! And Amy was out event coordinator/day of coordinator and she was amazing. It would have not run as smoothly without her. The vibe of this venue was perfect and I had so many guests that raves about it and even some that want to be married there as well!!!!! Book this place, you really won’t regret ❤️

This venue was absolutely beautiful and my husband and I were overjoyed with how everything turned out! Amy was our day of coordinator and she was AMAZING. I can't imagine executing the little details without her. We highly recommend this venue as well as Amy as your coordinator. You won't regret it!

Everyone was very helpful and nice. I think that the catering list should be more diverse to include authentic Mexican food. The catering company that was recommended, was extremely overpriced and we were not impressed with their food.
I am thankful that we were allowed to use a different one as per our agreement when the venue was booked (1.5 years in advance).
The event coordinator changed from when we booked, to when we had the event, and not everything we agreed to in the beginning was communicated.
This is an area that can be improved.

Getting married at The Market was such a wonderful experience! Amy always responded quickly, answered my long lists of questions, and provided everything we needed leading up to the wedding day. If there was anything to be stressed about in the wedding process, it definitely wasn't our venue!

We had our wedding reception held at the Rockford City Market and definitely had the time of our lives!
Initially when touring the venue we were impressed by the professionalism of the staff. They provided prompt responses to the many questions we had. Their communication was effective throughout our planning and day of activities. We felt comfortable and knew they had the intention to make our day the best possible.
We did have the add-on of the bridal suite and loved having a spot to get ready that felt like an experience in itself.
All and all we knew that we picked the best location that fit our vision as it has some history of Rockford and the downtown vibe that we love so much.

I don’t think we could have had a better wedding day thanks to Rockford City Market. It was a perfect blend of industrial and modern which is just what we were looking for. Our coordinator Amy is the sweetest human alive and made everything so fun and easy from planning months ahead to the rehearsal the night before. I also loved that myself and my groom were able to both get ready at the venue. Most venues only have a bridal suite but not City market! We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a venue for any occasion!

This venue is where it's at! The exposed brick walls and character of the building are stunning and look amazing in pictures!! I recently DJ'd a wedding here, and not only was the staff super professional, nice, courteous, but the on-site coordinator Amy, was super-fast and responsive and beyond professional day of. I cannot recommend this venue enough! The space is absolutey gorgeous. The bridal suite had beautiful lighting and enough space for me and the 15 other people that were in and out all day. The event coordinator, Amy, was the absolute best addition to our day.

As a wedding coordinator, working with Amy at the Indoor City Market was amazing! She is so sweet and personable and cares for all of her clients so very much. They were very accommodating to all of the vendors, and even helped jump in to help with small details on our end. I know when we have weddings at the City Market, they will be smooth and all the staff will be amazing!

The city market helped make my wedding absolutely perfect! The bridal suite was perfect for hair, makeup and a place to relax in-between the ceremony and reception. They were helpful with all the planning and helped create a great set up. The reception space was perfect for dancing and had a spot outside that worked great for guests to escape to ! Would highly recommend this venue!

As a DJ, it is important to have a good working relationship with venues. Rockford City Market is absolutely top notch! Amy took the time to contact me before the event, and walk me through the ins and outs of the venue. Their staff was attentive, respectful, and professional. We were invited by Rockford City Market to participate in a bridal open house last month. From the initial invitation email through packing up after the event, every member of their team was extremely responsive, delightful to work with, friendly, accommodating, and quick to action when I needed something.
The building itself has so much charm and unique opportunities on layout and use! We highly recommend!

My husband and I were married at the Rockford City Market on 10/9/2021. We used the Bowtruss Room for our ceremony and reception, and the lobby for a cocktail hour while the space was flipped. The venue was beautiful and the staff were amazing to work with. We were looking for moody, urban vibes and the market gave us just that! We also rented out the bridal suite space, which was SO worth it. There is a coffee shop in the lobby (Velvet Robit-yum) so in the morning my bridesmaids were able to grab us some delicious coffee while we got our hair and makeup done. The venue is in the heart of downtown Rockford with ample photo backgrounds within walking distance. We were able to get pictures inside the venue, in front of the River, and with architecture without walking more than 5 minutes. I would highly recommend the market for anyone looking to get married!!!

We attended the wedding of my friend's daughter here in August of 2021. It is a beautifully renovated venue in the heart of downtown. The ceremony and the reception were in the Bowtruss Room which is gorgeous. The cocktail hour was held in the lower level and the garage doors were open to the alley with seating in both areas. The food and drink were outstanding. We had a great time!

Using the City Market Commercial kitchen has been a Blessing to our Small Business. The hours are flexible and the space is huge. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Cathy goes above and beyond to insure that everyone’s needs are met. Being at the Outdoor City Market last Year was huge Blessing to our Business. We were Rockford City Market's first wedding back in November 2019. We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, flexibility, and overall kindness throughout our whole event and planning process. We utilized both The Market Hall and Bowtruss Room for our wedding and loved everything about it! Being right downtown was perfect for pictures and a cocktail hour out on the town!
