I chose Meredith and Rocking Bird Flower Co because I thought she best understood my vision of a English countryside wedding aesthetic. The flowers and arrangements she chose had a simplicity to them but really stood out; there was a wild, free quality to them while still looking incredibly chic. The colors she chose were also fantastic and even though I don't consider myself to be a huge flower lover, even I couldn't deny how breathtaking they were. Working with her was also a delight. She listened to my feedback and adjusted her recommendations to suit my budget which is something that is incredibly important and sometimes rare within the wedding industry. My wedding was originally supposed to be outdoors but had to shift indoors due to weather which meant having her floral arrangements was even more important to creating the atmosphere I was going for. I would definitely recommend Meredith and her company to anyone looking for a florist for their wedding.

Meredith and her team were incredible! They created the flower displays of my dreams and brought my vision to life! I initially went into our preparation call with the goal of only having white flowers and greenery, but she quickly convinced me to add a little color using cream and pale pink roses. I am SO grateful for her creativity and collaboration!

When we had to postpone our wedding, Meredith stayed in touch and made scheduling and coordinating with our other vendors a breeze. When I asked to use only environmentally sustainable mechanics in my centerpieces at the eleventh hour, she immediately pivoted and accommodated the request. Despite the busy wedding season, she went out of her way to incorporate a special stem in my bouquet—a stem that she happened to remember we were fond of but that was likely to be out of season by the time of our wedding. Somehow, she pulled it off. She really knows local growers. That matters. Meredith and the Rocking Bird team were an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning process, and we could not recommend them more highly. We were originally scheduled for a September 2020 wedding and had to postpone twice due to COVID-19. Once cases settled down enough that our final date looked like a go, Meredith picked things up seamlessly, hosting us in her studio for a thorough (and fun!) discussion of my wife's vision and walking us through the flower selection and arrangement process. She was honest about how we'd get the best bang for our buck, straightforward about flower availability, and incredibly knowledgeable about the flowers themselves -- seasonality, color combinations, etc. Meredith and her team executed the plan flawlessly on the wedding day despite torrential rain for the whole morning and afternoon (thankfully, almost all plans were indoors). We would recommend Rocking Bird to anyone without a second thought.

Rocking Bird Flower Co. was my absolute favorite vendor for our wedding! I fell in love with Meredith's styling and vision on Instagram and was so in love with what she produced for our wedding. She came up with wonderful ideas for tablescapes and archway florals within our smaller budget (that didn't look smaller budget) and was a dream when we had to reschedule our wedding and the adjustments to the color scheme that came along with moving the wedding from winter to summer.

Meredith and her team at Rocking Bird Flower Co. are a must have DC wedding vendor! As someone who appreciates floral design, yet has little knowledge about flowers, I knew I needed a vendor who would provide the creativity and expertise to help me create a vision for our November District Winery wedding. I knew we were in good hands when I saw Meredith’s initial proposal. She turned my vague ideas and thoughts into a concrete vision. A few weeks before the wedding, we had our final design consult with her at her studio; again she proposed the most beautiful color palate and design elements. She made honest and direct recommendations on where to splurge and where to save, we actually ended up spending under our budget! On our wedding morning, when I saw my bridal bouquet my jaw dropped; it was absolutely stunning, even better than I imagined. My reaction was the same when I walked into our reception. Our guests are still complimenting our floral design months later!

Meredith was GREAT to work with. I had a very specific vision that involved mostly dried florals for our boho glam wedding, and she knocked it out of the park. She was also able to suggest how we could get the most for our budget, which I really appreciated. Would highly recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Rocking Bird Flower Co. and Meredith! First of all, I'm one of those annoying people who had a concept in my head but couldn't really verbalize it. Meredith took my floaty ideas and made something concrete immediately. From our first conversation, I could tell how much effort she puts into each of her weddings. She kept me updated regularly throughout the process and made everything so easy. The flowers came out better than I ever could have dreamed and they set the tone for the wedding! We had to change our wedding to a microwedding because of Covid and the floral arrangements made the day feel like the wedding I had initially planned! Fantastic experience and I hope to be able to book Rocking Bird Flower Co. again sometime!

Rocking Bird was a dream to work with from our very first call to the day of wedding delivery and set up! It hasn't been an easy year to plan a wedding or be a vendor, but Meredith was flexible and understanding. She ended up creating gorgeous dried floral arrangements for our tiny elopement and then did our flowers for the big celebration as well. Meredith is a true artist and really made both of my visions come to life (even better than I could have ever imagined). She is so sweet, professional, and knowledgeable and helped me with a variety of aspects when it came to planning our wedding décor. I really can't recommend Rocking Bird enough!

From my first call with Meredith, I knew she was awesome. She has such acalm, supportive presence that I think any bride can appreciate. After Covid changed our plans to a microwedding, she was SO flexible and accommodating and which helped us so much, especially because she was about to have a baby! We were able to pick up our flowers contact free and they were absolutely beautiful, I could not have asked for a better experience, even during a pandemic!

Would highly recommend Rocking Bird Flower Co! I reached out at the very last minute for my intimate wedding in May (about two weeks). From the first email, Meredith had great communication and was so helpful. With a wet, cold spring, and many challenges due to the pandemic, Meredith was upfront with the reality of the situation, flexible when I continued to add/change my order, sent reference photos and spoke with me on the phone once she found out what flowers would be available. I went for more of a surprise for the look/feel of the bouquets and arrangements and it was more than I could have dreamed of. She provided me tips on how to care for the flowers, clear instructions for contactless pickup/what to expect, etc. Everything was STUNNING and to top it off the flowers were from two small, local, women owned farms. I'm so happy I contacted Meredith, everything was breathtaking and the little details made all the difference. There was even sage in two of the arrangements that we were able to make cocktails with a few days later.

We absolutely loved working with Meredith on the florals for our wedding and could not recommend her more strongly. Meredith was one of the best vendor selections that we used for our wedding. We found her based on highly rated reviews and must say she lived up to every high rating. From the beginning to the very end she was very professional and thorough. We met for a consultation in person where she asked us several questions to know the look that we wanted for our big day. She was very honest and also welcoming, given we didn't know anything about flowers. She didn't condemn us for being totally clueless but instead explained everything and was very helpful. She also made sure she stuck with the budget that we presented instead of tryin to add on extra things. She was also very flexible with last minute changes and add ons that we had. Now, the most important part...THE FLOWERS!!!! OMG! THEY WERE SOOOOOOOOOO BEAUTIFUL! They literally made my bridal party's attire come alive with how beautiful they were. She had her assistant deliver them on the day of the wedding and the assistant was just as wonderful...she didn't just drop them off and leave, she stayed around to help us and placed them in water. Overall, wonderful experience and wonderful florist!

Meredith is an amazing floral designer, but more important, she is a PHENOMENAL human being. Meredith was just so easy to work with; from our initial consultation, to when she handed me the most beautiful bridal bouquet I had ever seen, everything about the process was seamless and perfect. Boutonnieres, bouquets, cocktail arrangements, all were done with the same level of care, attention to detail and love. STOP YOUR SEARCH, DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT $200 AND HIRE MEREDITH. Seriously, she's that good. When looking for flowers in the DC area it can be overwhelming and even understand what is a "normal" expectation for a florist on wedding day. We found Meredith through our wedding planner Julie Park of Birch Event and Design and literally couldn't be happier with the decision. We felt as if flowers should be something that make our day more beautiful but certainly not something we had the budget to spend loads of cash on. Meredith met with us and outlined a plan for us that met our expectations (including my need for peonies in my bouquet) and even moreso - we signed immediately and it was a fantastic decision. Meredith sources flowers from local farms so everything you get is absolutely the freshest and beautiful. During our consultation in person, she did a mock-up and discussed what would look best and I'm so happy I listened to her on not going "all white" for our florals and added some color so our pictures weren't blown out and to add some warmth. On wedding day flowers arrived and myself, my bridal party and my entire vendor team were BLOWN away with the absolutely beautiful flowers that arrived. One of the first things my now husband said to me when he saw me at my first look was "the flowers are beautiful" and trust me, he's not the type to notice. We had a few hiccups with the boutonnieres for the men, but Meredith on the fly built new ones for my husband and reattached them as we were taking pictures. It was so seamless and shes's such a calming presence that until someone reminded me the next day, I hadn't even remembered. You will NOT regret hiring Meredith for your DC based wedding, trust me!

Meredith is amazing!!!! I am still in awe of how beautiful my wedding flowers were. Meredith was a dream to work with, not only was she super responsive to my emails and calls but she is such a wonderful and sweet person. I gave her just one inspiration photo and she knocked it out of the park!

Working with Meredith, the owner of Rocking Bird, was such a delightful experience. From the first phone call where we chatted about my favorite flowers and poked around my Pinterest board, to our in-person meeting where she talked my husband and I through her ideas, each step in the planning process was enjoyable, fun and successful! She was both detail oriented (she saved a picture of my husband's wedding suit to make sure the boutonnieres matched) and open to creative inspiration (my wedding dress was covered in colorful flowers and she was totally on-board!) When I saw my bouquet on my wedding day I gasped - it was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen and really blew my mind. While my husband and I were taking pictures I literally kept saying "wow - these flowers are incredible!". The table arrangements were gorgeous - she transformed the room into an elegant and joyful garden-esque space. She made sure my favorite flowers (snapdragons) were sprinkled around the room (as well as in my bouquet) even though they aren't typically great for those kinds of arrangements. Meredith was flexible throughout the entire planning process, she was encouraging of my ideas and went above and beyond. I couldn't recommend Rocking Rird more!!

I highly recommend Rocking Bird! Meredith did an absolutely amazing job and the flowers were a beautiful addition to my wedding. Admittedly, I am very opinionated and certain on what I want. My consultation with Meredith was extremely helpful; she listened to what I envisioned, including my likes and dislikes, and was truly able to interrupt what I said into the bouquets. Could not have asked for a better experience with a florist! For our winter wedding, Meredith was able to execute our vision (and offer great cost-saving suggestions) to ensure that our florals were perfect for the big day. Our wedding was black tie and I thought Meredith's style was elegant while still being natural (not stuffy/cookie cutter looking). Even though Meredith didn't know until the day of what flowers we would have, she did the most outstanding job arranging them all. She made huge bouquets for myself and my bridesmaids, lovely boutonnieres for the groomsmen and parents, and then stunning table arrangements in various sizes. Meredith - what a visionary of all things floral and even non floral. We had the pleasure of engaging Meredith and her team for our wedding, it was a rich mix of florals and feathers as she found the right balance for our Gatsby themed wedding. If you are getting married and aren't using Meredith and her team, you are seriously missing out! She also worked seamlessly with our Wedding Manager (Julie Park, Birch Event & Design) and other vendors.

Meredith was seriously amazing! She did the bouquets and boutonnieres for our wedding, cake flowers, and a flower collar for our pup. I highly recommend Rocking Bird Flower Co. Meredith made GORGEOUS arrangements at a very reasonable price - plus, she was patient and great to work with. Before hearing about Rocking Bird, I was extremely frustrated because I had a limited budget for flowers and many of the florists I talked to in the DC-area had $3K or $5k minimums. But Meredith came to my rescue! Rocking Bird made centerpieces, a bridal bouquet, and a leafy garland (for an arch) for a very reasonable price. Everything was beautiful! It has been a couple weeks since the wedding and guests are still telling us how gorgeous our floral arrangements were. Furthermore, Meredith was a delight to work with. I don't know anything about flowers and did a terrible job articulating what I wanted, but Meredith was very patient and managed to perfectly create my vision. All in all, finding a florist one of the things I dreaded most about wedding planning but Rocking Bird Flower Co made it a wonderful experience!

To say that I am obsessed with Rocking Bird Flower Co. and Meredith is a total understatement! I was CLUELESS about what I wanted, knew next to nothing about flowers/arrangements (still don't) and had a limited budget. All I told Meredith was that I was wearing a blue wedding gown and I wanted a sort of "wild" look... she absolutely nailed it. It was literally a dream come true when my complete lack of vision was materialized with her floral brilliance. Not only did she help me create my entire vision- she was so easy to work with. I was living in Austin, TX, planning a wedding for MD and moving to Germany- she made the whole process so seamless. The flowers are gorgeous, she is a spectacular human, and the prices were unbeatable. My married friends were floored with the quality, beauty, and style of my flowers, arch, table vines, bridal bouquets, AND flower crowns for how much I paid. I can't stress enough how magical Rocking Bird Flower Co. is. If I could, I would order my bouquet for my dining room table weekly. In LOVE.

I had a limited budget, but she was able to make my flowers really pop! They were so fresh and colorful! My bridesmaids were ecstatic to take them home and some even kept them as they dried! She took all of my ideas and made them come to life. I highly recommend!!

The most nerve-wracking part about wedding planning at first was selecting our vendors. We made all of our selections by searching the internet, which involved many hours of browsing various wedding websites. It's not easy to make decisions based simply on reviews posted by strangers (are they even written by real people? how honest are the reviews?). But all of the reviews for Rocking Bird Flower Co. were glowing, and they seemed to be genuine. I looked through many, many photos posted by past customers and Meredith herself, and I found myself connecting to what I saw. Her arrangements are beautiful and her sense of style appealed to me. The first time Meredith and I spoke on the phone, we had a surprisingly in-depth conversation about my vision for our wedding, our floral arrangements, what our budget was, etc. She was very supportive of our budget and was determined to make things work without sacrificing quality or beauty, which really struck home with me. Meredith had so many great suggestions and tips; she wasn't pushy, but very open and thoughtful. She stayed engaged throughout our entire wedding planning process, reaching out via email periodically, checking in, and even meeting for an in-person consultation closer to our wedding date (super helpful). I made a few last minute additions and changes to our order and Meredith did not bat an eyelash- she remained calm, flexible, accommodating, and up-beat. If the last minute changes bothered her, I could not tell one bit, and I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this. Meredith was fantastic from start to finish, and if you are in the same position I was just a few months ago, feeling overwhelmed with options, I hope this review allows you to let Meredith be part of your special day.

Meredith is a treasure - her style is impeccable and her attention to detail is perfection. I hope I can someday have the grace and poise she carries! Enough about Meredith, her florals are absolutely divine, we had a fairly simple wedding with just my bouquet, a boutonnière, and some table arrangements - everything she designed cake out perfectly. She was able to take my spray of random words and colors and turn it into real actual arrangements which I will forever treasure in photos. The process of working with Rocking Bird was a breeze from consultation to design to delivery. I really appreciated that she was cost conscious as I was trying to keep my budget in control. I would highly recommend Rocking Bird no matter the style or scope of your event, but lean on Meredith’s eye for style guidance! She’s truly amazing.

The flower arrangements were gorgeous and Meredith and her team were great to work with. We relied heavily on her expertise as my husband and I are not flower experts. We ordered my bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, corsages, and boutonnières from this company. We also utilized their day-of delivery service, which was great. The band on a few of the corsages broke, so we had to McGuyver them with pipecleaners that our day-of coordinator found. Other than that, everything was wonderful! The flower arrangements got plenty of compliments.

I'll confess I dreaded shopping for flowers for my wedding. So many places in the DC area demand prohibitive minimums, and all this Colorado native wanted was a few unique bouquets & boutonnieres. Then I found Meredith. To all of you newly engaged folks out there, I can't recommend Rockingbird Flower Co. highly enough. She responded quickly to my initial inquiry, was very respectful of my budget, and created stunning free-form arrangements that surpassed my hopes. Plus, she's just a lovely human being who genuinely cares about using her artistic talent to make your wedding vision come true. And she is talented. I created my own centerpieces using old books & lanterns, and was struggling to find a way to add softening, natural elements. Meredith to the rescue with strewn rose buds and fresh seeded eucalyptus! When it came to the bouquets, she considered my color palette and recommended adding another shade to the arrangements, walked me through the various ways she could architecturally shape the bridal bouquet, and helped me find a way to include something meaningful in the ribbons in a nod to my grandmothers. I was speechless when I walked into our wedding venue and saw my bouquet for the first time. Meredith is simply masterful. She was easily able to accommodate my small order; just a bouquet and boutonniere for my courthouse wedding. I really didn’t know what I wanted to do for my wedding flowers, but Meredith worked with me to create truly beautiful bouquets that perfectly matched our wedding theme/vibe, the venue, our dresses, etc. Free-form, rustic, creative, spunky, I loved that my flowers had personality. Meredith was a dream to work with the moment I had a phone consultation on the phone. It was so amazing getting to know her and seeing my vision come to life through her creativity! Aside from her gorgeous personality, I was attracted to the fact she specializes in organic free-form arrangements. I love a more natural look, especially when it comes to nature. I wouldn't have been the Bride I was without my flower crown and amazing bouquet. I know I drove her crazy with my million emails back and forth but she handled it with such patience. I couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience of working with Meredith at Rocking Bird for my wedding flowers! They took my wedding from beautiful to spectacular. I couldn't stop staring at them all day and weeks out, people are still commenting on how gorgeous and unique they were. Meredith was a dream to work with. She was incredibly patient and accommodating as we teased out my preferences and different color ideas. She is extremely knowledgeable and creative and had tons of suggestions for how to create the effect I was hoping for without breaking the bank. I went into our consultations with one particularly meaningful element that I wanted to include (the favorite color of a late relative) but was having a hard time fitting it into the aesthetic I was going for. The best decision I could possibly have made was giving Meredith creative license to finalize the color scheme. The final result was absolutely luscious and totally blew me away. I also loved how she worked to minimize environmental damage and waste - she had even developed her own eco-friendly alternative to floral foam! The flowers arrived fresh, glorious and right on time. Rocking Bird went the extra mile to provide everything we needed - down to materials for DIY aisle arrangements that were outside of our budget. I truly can't say enough about Meredith and Rocking Bird. She completely exceeded all of my expectations. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!!
