6-10pm, the second quote showed an additional half hour for the DJ and a $200 travel fee (owner claims its for a 6 hour round trip drive. Also claims his Dj’s are in greater Nola area. My venue is 2 hrs from Nola and Covington where he claims to be located.). Be warned the travel fee is listed in the email but not the quote. in less than a week my original quote was gone from his website. They claim it was because it was changed to lost/cancelled. I received my quote on Thursday but by Tuesday I couldn’t see it. I didn’t realize I had less than a week to make my decision. If this is their customer service I am glad I chose another company. I was just being attempting to be polite and let them know why I went with someone else. Was never planning to post a review until I received the responses I did from the company. Last time I try to be polite. I guarantee I won’t make that mistake again.

a year and a half later and he did not disappoint. His software was easy to use, we had a few special requests that he made sure we had played. He was very organized and made sure everything went well and with the flow. We had at least half of our guest come up and say he was the best DJ they had ever heard at a wedding. We could not of been happier with how professional he was, and how great he was at what he does, intro, music, lighting, everything was great. Rock-It Productions will always be our recommendation to any friends weddings, company events or anything else you could ever need a DJ for. Thank you John!!

which was all DJ Chris. We had a special request for a polka dance, as my family is Polish and we wanted to dance at least one polka. Chris went out of his way to download the song at the venue to make sure that we had our special request. It really meant a lot to my family and it was great customer service. I can't recommend enough!

John played every song that we requested without problems, and he even took songs that we found on YouTube and downloaded them so that they could be played at the wedding. He also checked with my mom and I throughout the reception to make sure we were happy with everything. To top off the amazing event, I found out that he recorded the ceremony on his phone. We didn't have a videographer, so it was a great surprise to be able to watch the ceremony afterwards. He definitely goes the extra mile to make sure that your special day is extra special. John! We also got the inflatable photo booth and it was worth every penny. Ended up being such a hit at the reception. Amy did a fabulous job with that and had such a great personality and easy to talk to. There was a line for the photo booth it was such a hit and she talked to everyone! We also received a scrapbook of all the pics with handwritten comments next to them. So cool!! I will recommend and use them any time I can for any entertainment need I have!!

ovided the complete list of songs we wanted played the Sunday before the wedding, yet all of this preparation was a waste of time. We didn't think we would have any issues considering how simple our request was - set up speakers and hit play on our playlist, but we were wrong. He did not follow any of what we had specified on the form and I had to spend multiple moments during the night going over music with him or the planners instead of enjoying the wedding. We put a lot of thought into selecting songs that had significance for us, our family and friends, so it was extremely disappointing that many of these songs didn't get played at all. Here is a bit more detail about the issues we experienced: He played the wrong song when my father and I walked down the aisle He messed up our first dance song He played multiple songs we didn't have on our list He did not have the playlist queued up and was searching for each song as he went - I was really surprised that he didn't have the playlist saved, especially considering he found the time to eat dinner before many of our guests did, yet was not able to find time to prepare more than one song ahead of what was being played. He didn't play many of the songs on our list He played one of our songs twice In addition to being a complete waste of our money, we were so disappointed that the music portion of our wedding went so poorly because it was so important to us. I regret not asking Archie to stop playing and instead just hooking up my phone to play Spotify for the remainder of the night, as it would've been much less stressful and we would've known for sure that every song we wanted to hear would've been played. We didn't have any complicated requests and I can't imagine what would've happened if we had, considering baseline things like playing the correct songs didn't even happen here. All this to say, I would not recommend Rock It Productions to anyone for their wedding unless you don't care at all what songs are played (including when you walk down the aisle).

Raven was awesome to work with as well. Just over-all, great customer service, and great performance. Although it wasn't a wedding, it was a nicer, formal ball and DJ Chris made sure everyone was on the dance floor, people could not stop raving about how great the music was! Thank you Rock-It again for a great night!

Rock-It Productions event portal made it easy for us to provide specifics on the wedding, dances, names of guests, etc. You have the ability to list specific songs you want played, and also songs to keep out. Again, thanks so much to JJ for making the night a great time for all.

quests that weren't really our style. I guess we should've specified to stick to the playlist. He got confused on the timeline of the night after the ceremony which may have been a miscommunication on our end, but I don't really think so. The biggest issue we had was that at the end of the night, he came up to both of our fathers and asked for a tip. That is really tacky. Gratuity is something given as an extra for someone who did an exceptional job. If we wanted to offer a tip, we would've done so. It's not something that should be asked for especially to the parents of the bride and groom.

The dance floor up-lights matched the wedding color scheme perfectly! John did a FANTASTIC job! His wife, Amy, manned the photo booth and had our guests taking lots of pictures. We left with a beautiful memory book to take home. I couldn't be more pleased with his savvy disc jockeying !! He had us ALL dancing till the very end. I would definitely recommend Rock-It Productions! Rock-It Productions really did ROCK-IT at my wedding.

. He even came out and showed everyone how to do a line dance. We wanted someone who would MC and facilitate the party and that is exactly what John did. We went with the A level package and it was totally worth it. We were on the dance floor all night. We also got our up-lighting through rock-it productions and it turned out fabulous. They have are familiar with most venues. They were easy to work with and prompt to respond. I would definitely recommend Rock-it Productions. They are professional and will handle they party starting.

Honestly, they made the music aspect easy for me! My husband is Colombian, and we wanted to make sure that we had a good mix of current popular songs, classic fun dance songs, AND songs with a Latin flair! I trusted John and his team to take our suggestions and run with it, and thanks to them, our guests had a blast dancing at our reception!

messed up. I'm not entirely sure this was the Djs fault. I believe communication was the issue. The music did not start at the time I wanted so the order of songs was wrong And no one noticed except for me because I was the one who planned it. The reception music was great and would highly recommend them for this part of your wedding. Not a single annoying corny song was played and people seemed to like the songs that we're being played.

. Our DJ danced more than me that night which I loved because he got people on the dance floor, showed them the steps to the line dances which our parents wanted :). Everyone loved the photo-booth and had a great time dressing up. I did buy some extra props so we could have a wider selection which I then donated to them afterwards. Would definitely hire both services again.
