We loved Rock-It Productions DJ & Photo Booth! We used the web-based system to fill out information and choose songs; it was super helpful. Then, a few days before we spoke to our DJ and talked through all the details. Chris D. was very attentive, kind and fun! All of that came right into our reception. The music was great - he chose perfectly. And did just as we spoke about. He led the crowd in where the evening was going just as we'd planned. Would definitely recommend Rock-It and Chris D. We also loved our Photo Booth and Jason H. So fun! The kids and adults enjoyed the props. The best part is that we have all the photos in a book for memories and a digital copy of them! Thanks a billion Rock-it for being awesome!

We had Steven Quave at our wedding ceremony and reception yesterday- our ceremony was in a field without power and he worked with us through that, and when our reception was moved outside last minute he rearranged for that, as well as called me personally to ensure everything was correct. My husband and I are so very happy with everything! It could not have been better. Great job Steven!

We used Rock It productions for our DJ Service and Photo Booth Service for our wedding in New Orleans. Chris was our DJ and was very professional and helped our ideas for the ceremony and reception come to life. His music selections reflected our taste and had the dance floor busy all night. The photo booth was also a hit and a great activity for guest.

What a great time we had at our daughter's wedding. We contacted Rock-It Productions and secured our date...from that time on...they were nothing but professional! John met with us and answered all of our questions. Raven stayed in contact with us to make sure we had everything we needed and then came the night of the wedding. Stephen Quave...is a rockstar! Best DJ around! He kept all of us on the dance floor until the very end! Even my daughter didn't want to have her "exit"...she wanted to keep dancing. We had our few "must have songs" but left the rest up to him. Nothing but phenomenal selections. We danced the night away! We give Stephen and Rock-It the highest rating they can get!

We hired DJ Chris for our wedding, and we wouldn’t have changed anything about it! He was amazing and beyond helpful even if I had any last minute updates! He kept the crowd partying and played all the songs we wanted! We had a variety of genres played and our guest loved the DJ! We also hired rock it productions for our photobooth! We received this amazing scrapbook and a USB of all the photobooth pictures! We highly recommend rock it productions! They did an amazing job and made sure my husband and I had an amazing night!

We hired Chris for our dj and he was so easy to work with and helped everything run smooth since we didn’t use a coordinator, and Jason was our photo booth guy who was very nice they were both so great and easy to work with couldn’t have asked for better!

Chris Darden with Rock-It Productions was an awesome DJ! We hired him to provide music for both the ceremony and the reception. For the ceremony, he was completely on time with every entrance and cue, and he had every song we requested available. For the reception, he was awesome about including our requested songs, while still playing plenty of others that were crowd pleasers. He was also very flexible. He provided us a microphone our officiant at the last minute, free of charge. Within the last twenty minutes of the reception, he also kindly allowed my nephew to hook his phone up so that my nephew could sing one of his original songs for us with his music. He also worked great with my day of coordinator. Not only was Chris with Rock-It an awesome DJ, Rock-It is very affordable!! I highly recommend.

We couldn’t have had a more wonderful experience with Rocket Productions! From the initial set up call till a few days before our wedding for confirmation on the playlist and time they were very professional. John is the absolute best!! Made sure everything ran smoothly and the music selection was perfect!

I was actually planning to use this DJ company. Received a quote I wasn’t able to look at closely originally. Decided to add in the ceremony and asked how much more. My wedding is at 630 and the reception ends at 10. So even tho I had requested 6-10pm, the second quote showed an additional half hour for the DJ and a $200 travel fee (owner claims its for a 6 hour round trip drive. Also claims his Dj’s are in greater Nola area. My venue is 2 hrs from Nola and Covington where he claims to be located.). Be warned the travel fee is listed in the email but not the quote. in less than a week my original quote was gone from his website. They claim it was because it was changed to lost/cancelled. I received my quote on Thursday but by Tuesday I couldn’t see it. I didn’t realize I had less than a week to make my decision. If this is their customer service I am glad I chose another company. I was just being attempting to be polite and let them know why I went with someone else. Was never planning to post a review until I received the responses I did from the company. Last time I try to be polite. I guarantee I won’t make that mistake again.

JJ was a phenomenal DJ!!! He was super energetic and knew how to get people out on the dance floor. He is also really good at spontaneous plans. I had someone dress up as a Dinosaur and totally forgot to tell him until they were walking down the stairs. He found the perfect song in a matter of seconds!!! I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know.

We had attended a big oil and gas company's Christmas party when we first experienced DJ John Lejeune. He did an amazing job and had the crowd on the dance floor the entire time and right then we knew we had our DJ for our wedding. Fast forward a year and a half later and he did not disappoint. His software was easy to use, we had a few special requests that he made sure we had played. He was very organized and made sure everything went well and with the flow. We had at least half of our guest come up and say he was the best DJ they had ever heard at a wedding. We could not of been happier with how professional he was, and how great he was at what he does, intro, music, lighting, everything was great. Rock-It Productions will always be our recommendation to any friends weddings, company events or anything else you could ever need a DJ for. Thank you John!!

I hired Rock-It for our DJ and our photo booth, and it was a great decision. DJ Chris was so nice and the dance floor was never empty the whole night! People are still telling me what a great party it was and asking me where I got my playlist, which was all DJ Chris. We had a special request for a polka dance, as my family is Polish and we wanted to dance at least one polka. Chris went out of his way to download the song at the venue to make sure that we had our special request. It really meant a lot to my family and it was great customer service. I can't recommend enough!

DJ John LeJeune was the absolute best!!! From the very beginning of planning to the actual wedding, he and his co-workers were very professional and easy to communicate with. He has a cool computer system where you can request songs and talk about the flow of the night prior to the wedding. I was very nervous booking a vendor from just reading reviews/ internet stalking but I am so glad I picked Rock it Productions People were dancing from the start of the wedding to the very end and several people who are from Nola requested his information so they can pass it along. DEFINITELY USE THEM!!!

John is so much fun and keeps everyone on the dance floor! They were on time and very professional. They also have an online worksheet that made it very easy to input all song information.

John is a very talented and versatile DJ. He really makes the activity fun for everyone and is constantly engaging the crowd and getting them locked in the dance floor. My bride and I give D.J. John Lejeune Jr. of Rock-It Productions the highest of recommendations! We had given him a list of 15'ish "must-plays" and he mixed them all in at different times, and he did a great job filling out the night's playlist. He had a perfect pulse on the crowd, and he had the people dancing EARLY (right after dinner), which was crucial for setting the tone for the rest of the night. He had just the right amount of slow songs and line dances, and the timing of throwing them in there was excellent. As requested, he played very upbeat love-songs while people were eating, and as the night went on, the music got "louder" in style and more dance-inducing. The volume of the music was ideal, not too piercing, but enough to keep the party rocking. His uplighting and light game was strong. We had told him NOT to take requests from the crowd unless it was us (we liked our playlist, and we trusted him with music more than random guests), and he was respectful and polite to our guests. He also wore a tuxedo, which made him look like a real pro's pro. He definitely had a very professional, experienced, but yet very fun vibe to him. Perhaps the best part about him was that he was affordable, and certainly well worth the cost. He exceeded our expectations, and helped make our night very special. We received plenty of compliments on D.J. John, and we'd recommend him to anyone, whether it's a wedding or a party! Wedding Location: Southern Hotel, Covington, Louisiana.

We had John as our dj, and he was amazing!! He did our ceremony music in Jackson Square and then our reception at Pat Os on the River. We had a Gobo light and up lighting, and I told him I didn't want it to look like crazy colors, just simple additions of light, and he made it look so elegant! The Gobo light was on a perfect spot on the wall and the uplighting added that extra touch of wedding color that the room needed. John played every song that we requested without problems, and he even took songs that we found on YouTube and downloaded them so that they could be played at the wedding. He also checked with my mom and I throughout the reception to make sure we were happy with everything. To top off the amazing event, I found out that he recorded the ceremony on his phone. We didn't have a videographer, so it was a great surprise to be able to watch the ceremony afterwards. He definitely goes the extra mile to make sure that your special day is extra special. Our DJ JJ was awesome!!! There were a few songs that I hadn’t thought about or planned for and he did an amazing job picking out songs to fill in the gaps for me! Our wedding was biracial and everyone enjoyed all of the music played and all had a wonderful time on the dance floor!!! All I can say is, if you can get RockIt Productions, book them!! John was our DJ and did such an amazing job. He is so good at doing this. Everything flowed so smoothly! Wedding and reception went absolutely seamlessly, thanks in large part to John! We also got the inflatable photo booth and it was worth every penny. Ended up being such a hit at the reception. Amy did a fabulous job with that and had such a great personality and easy to talk to. There was a line for the photo booth it was such a hit and she talked to everyone! We also received a scrapbook of all the pics with handwritten comments next to them. So cool!! I will recommend and use them any time I can for any entertainment need I have!!

We were so disappointed with Archie, the DJ who played our wedding. He was unprepared, unprofessional and the music at our wedding and reception was the low point of an otherwise awesome day. We completed the online forms out in detail and provided the complete list of songs we wanted played the Sunday before the wedding, yet all of this preparation was a waste of time. We didn't think we would have any issues considering how simple our request was - set up speakers and hit play on our playlist, but we were wrong. He did not follow any of what we had specified on the form and I had to spend multiple moments during the night going over music with him or the planners instead of enjoying the wedding. We put a lot of thought into selecting songs that had significance for us, our family and friends, so it was extremely disappointing that many of these songs didn't get played at all. Here is a bit more detail about the issues we experienced: He played the wrong song when my father and I walked down the aisle He messed up our first dance song He played multiple songs we didn't have on our list He did not have the playlist queued up and was searching for each song as he went - I was really surprised that he didn't have the playlist saved, especially considering he found the time to eat dinner before many of our guests did, yet was not able to find time to prepare more than one song ahead of what was being played. He didn't play many of the songs on our list He played one of our songs twice In addition to being a complete waste of our money, we were so disappointed that the music portion of our wedding went so poorly because it was so important to us. I regret not asking Archie to stop playing and instead just hooking up my phone to play Spotify for the remainder of the night, as it would've been much less stressful and we would've known for sure that every song we wanted to hear would've been played. We didn't have any complicated requests and I can't imagine what would've happened if we had, considering baseline things like playing the correct songs didn't even happen here. All this to say, I would not recommend Rock It Productions to anyone for their wedding unless you don't care at all what songs are played (including when you walk down the aisle).

Wow! Rock-It was great from the first time we contacted them until the event and even after. Chris was our DJ and he did AWESOME at our law school ball. If you want your guests to have a good time, then I'm sure all of their DJs do a great job. Raven was awesome to work with as well. Just over-all, great customer service, and great performance. Although it wasn't a wedding, it was a nicer, formal ball and DJ Chris made sure everyone was on the dance floor, people could not stop raving about how great the music was! Thank you Rock-It again for a great night!

Music sets the mood for an event. Well... J.J. Richardson was our DJ and he created an awesome experience for our daughter's wedding. The dance floor was never without a crowd of friends and family having a great time. JJ kept the beat and made sure that no one would leave disappointed. Rock-It Productions event portal made it easy for us to provide specifics on the wedding, dances, names of guests, etc. You have the ability to list specific songs you want played, and also songs to keep out. Again, thanks so much to JJ for making the night a great time for all.

Raven is great and was really responsive in answering all of our questions. Our DJ was JJ and he did a good job on the ceremony music and the timing there. Our issue was that he didn't really play any of the songs we gave him and kept taking requests that weren't really our style. I guess we should've specified to stick to the playlist. He got confused on the timeline of the night after the ceremony which may have been a miscommunication on our end, but I don't really think so. The biggest issue we had was that at the end of the night, he came up to both of our fathers and asked for a tip. That is really tacky. Gratuity is something given as an extra for someone who did an exceptional job. If we wanted to offer a tip, we would've done so. It's not something that should be asked for especially to the parents of the bride and groom.

Wedding was Indian-Western fusion. I gave John a Bollywood song list including country western, and everything in between. With just a few emails and perhaps a call or 2, he had everything set up. I was a little nervous regarding when he would play the entrance song/music as it wasn't the traditional western wedding. On the day of, while I was getting ready,he brought the lights for me to select. The dance floor up-lights matched the wedding color scheme perfectly! John did a FANTASTIC job! His wife, Amy, manned the photo booth and had our guests taking lots of pictures. We left with a beautiful memory book to take home. I couldn't be more pleased with his savvy disc jockeying !! He had us ALL dancing till the very end. I would definitely recommend Rock-It Productions! Rock-It Productions really did ROCK-IT at my wedding.

We hired Rock-It to be the DJ for our wedding at the Louisiana Castle. We purchased the B package, we got JJ Richardson and we really cant say enough good things about him! He did a wonderful job with the ceremony music and the reception music. He listened to our requests (like to shorten a long song or to cut a song short if it wasn't getting much crowd attention). He called us a few days ahead of time and told us if we needed anything to let him know. All in all it was an awesome experience!

I was at my best friends wedding this weekend in the French quarter. Jay Jay was the DJ. He was very professional and ready to help with enthusiasm. When the time line changed, he adjusted everything easily. All I can say is incredible job. He danced with us and had fun all night with everyone., young and old. The sing along was great!!! I am getting married next year and I will use rock it and jay jay. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

While planning my wedding from out of state Rock-it Pro. was the only DJ service that communicated effectively. We had so much fun at our wedding. John was great. I gave him the specific songs we wanted as well as a list to select songs guest had requested. I told him I wanted lots of line dances and songs with moves in them. He was great and involved. He even came out and showed everyone how to do a line dance. We wanted someone who would MC and facilitate the party and that is exactly what John did. We went with the A level package and it was totally worth it. We were on the dance floor all night. We also got our up-lighting through rock-it productions and it turned out fabulous. They have are familiar with most venues. They were easy to work with and prompt to respond. My husband is Colombian, and we wanted to make sure that we had a good mix of current popular songs, classic fun dance songs, AND songs with a Latin flair! John did such a great job at our wedding of playing the music that we wanted and keeping everyone on the dance floor. He handled requests perfectly and made the reception such a blast! we didn't want the party to end!

JJ did a great job. We were impressed with his professionalism and when the party started he had everyone singing and dancing all night. We had such a great time. The photo booth was awesome and a lot of fun. Great memories were made from our wedding and Rock it and JJ were a big reason we had such a great time.

Jim Richardson of Rock-It productions was the DJ for my son's wedding and did a great job! Everyone danced all night long, from young to old. We had a fantastic time! The Photo booth was great - it was one of the favorite things for everyone to do. The young lady that was the photo booth attendant kept up with the photo album (a very cool add-on) and reminded us to write next to our picture. I would highly recommend their DJ service (especially Jim!) and their photo booth!

Rock it productions was my least favorite vendor to work with yet notice I still gave four stars. You couldn't beat the price and Raven from the office answered all my annoying questions. My only complaint was that my entire ceremony music was messed up. I'm not entirely sure this was the Djs fault. I believe communication was the issue. The music did not start at the time I wanted so the order of songs was wrong And no one noticed except for me because I was the one who planned it. The reception music was great and would highly recommend them for this part of your wedding. Not a single annoying corny song was played and people seemed to like the songs that we're being played.

I had a little trouble getting in touch with them the week of my wedding, but once I did, everything was fine. The DJ was super nice. They played all my requests, and once people actually started dancing, they knew what to play to keep them on the dance floor. They even waved me to the floor a few times...and were successful! Super fun people to work with. Glad I went with them.

Rock-It Productions is a great DJ service. We had them for our wedding last month and I really enjoyed working with them. We also had the photo-booth rented through them as well. I think they did a great job for both and would recommend them. Our DJ danced more than me that night which I loved because he got people on the dance floor, showed them the steps to the line dances which our parents wanted :). Everyone loved the photo-booth and had a great time dressing up. I did buy some extra props so we could have a wider selection which I then donated to them afterwards. Would definitely hire both services again.

I cannot express how pleased I was with Rock-It Productions! From the beginning to the end of the planning process, Raven was very attentive and responsive to my needs and requests. In addition, the staff catered to my schedule to meet and review the wedding day. DJ John was professional yet cool. On the wedding day, he was interactive and the guests had a blast! Great job! Would definitely use again.
