Rocky Mountain Films is a professional wedding videographer based in Salida, Colorado. They offer a variety of services to capture your special day in full, and create a lasting memory that can be relived and shared for years to come. Lead videographer, Ben, strives to capture the true essence of your event, from the hair and makeup until the lights go out. Rocky Mountain Films can capture precious footage both on the ground with you and your guests, and from the sky, as Ben is an FAA licensed drone (and airplane) pilot. We also limit services to one-event-per-day in order to give couples full, undivided professional attention. Services Offered Rocky Mountain Films provides couples with a variety of wedding videography packages, including up to a full day of wedding coverage, dressing room and preparation coverage, two videographers, and up to 8 minutes of professionally edited highlight film. We also offers couples customizable, a la carte packages upon consultation at no extra cost. Ben is incredibly talented, and so easy to work with. He helped our wedding day run smoothly, and made the entire process super fun and low-stress. In addition to the footage we specifically requested, he used his artistic and creative eye to capture candid shots that ended up being some our favorites. Our final video was delivered quickly, and the quality was even better than I could have imagined. If you are looking for a wedding videographer, look no further!

Ben was the perfect choice to capture our elopement! He communicated well throughout the entire process, worked great with our photographer the day of, and provided us with a highlight video and a full recording of our ceremony. Ben was probably the most hassle-free vendor on our team. We loved his videos and with one call and two emails we were booked. I think it was only a handful more emails before the wedding and he was there on time shooting away pretty inconspicuously. The final highlight film is amazing and he took a song we had picked out and remixed it to fit the flow of the film, which was way above our expectations! Overall it was a great experience with Rocky Mountain Films and we look forward to seeing Ben at our friends wedding next year!

Ben is amazing! I inquired about an elopement package and he was quick to respond. Throughout the planning process, Ben was responsive and approachable. I sent him the day of agenda and he threw himself in where it worked best. He was able to capture all the moments that were important to my husband and I with ease. On the wedding day, Ben was a calm addition to our vendors. His presence felt minimal as he quietly captured our day. A few short weeks later, he sent over our footage. Our highlight video turned out more beautiful than we had imagined. He did an amazing job and we are so excited to share his work with our family and friends. Ben at Rocky Mountain Films was one of our favorite vendors for our wedding. He did an exceptional job, was perfectly on-time for everything, and brought a relaxed energy and presence that really made more of a difference for us than we initially realized. He was such a great person to work with for our wedding and the end video product is truly incredible. Ben's videographer skills are top notch and the video allows us to re-live our special day. HIGHLY recommend. Best videographer in Colorado and will give you the mountain-esque feel that you're looking for.

Ben did an amazing job capturing our wedding day, from getting ready scenes to our ceremony, first dances, toasts, and all the little details in between. The moments he captured and the final videos really feel accurate to the day, and the amazing time we had. At first we were on the fence about whether we wanted video of our ceremony as well as photos. We are SO glad we decided to have a videographer as well, and so glad we chose to work with Ben. He has such an eye for movement and the right details. Ben was so delightful to work with, totally comfortable and relaxed, but bringing great ideas for little shots that made our experience and the moments captured so much better. We love the quality of the final films, and are so grateful to have these moments to relive for the rest of our lives.

I can't say enough good things about hiring Ben! We hired him a week before our wedding - he completely saved the day after our first hired videographer flaked on us. The change was a blessing in disguise. Ben has excellent communication, was incredibly helpful and a friendly presence on the day of our wedding, and clearly a master of his craft. We love the highlight film he put together and the quality of the full video. His work is amazing and we're grateful that we will have the beautiful footage for the rest of our lives. Ben was our videographer for our wedding and he was wonderful. Before the wedding date, communicating with Ben was a breeze. He was thorough in tailoring his services to our specific needs and was patient with us during every step in the process. On the day of the wedding, Ben was punctual, kind, and instructed us well when it came to setting up beautiful shots! He prepared himself ahead of time for the big moments of our wedding, but was also ready at a moment's notice to catch our more candid moments that really made things special. A month after our wedding, he sent us his final edits (and specific footage per our request) and everything was just sensational! I believe there is a certain level of pride that is evident in Ben's work, and the moments he was able to capture for us on video is something my wife and I will watch over and over!

Ben was amazing! We were so fortunate to work with him. We had a vision and he made it come to life. We wanted to have a small ceremony with our parents but then have our ceremony recorded and played a few hours later at our reception for all of our guests. I had initially called over 25 videographers in Colorado and Ben was the only one who said we could make it work. Not only did he make it work, but he made it come to life and did so much behind the scenes work to pull it all together. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the video was. So many videographers told me they couldn't do the quick turnaround that we were asking for. Ben never said no - and we are so thankful we got to work with him! We are forever grateful for the amazing final videos that we have of our favorite day ever. He was prompt, dressed nicely, and seamlessly fit into our day! Highly recommend Ben for all videography needs - he can make it happen!

We are so grateful we hired Ben to be our wedding videographer! We did consultations with a few videographers and decided to hire Rocky Mountain Films not only because we loved the style of videography but also because we felt really comfortable and at ease talking to Ben during our initial consultation. The quality of videography is obviously hugely important, but we were really looking for someone we could feel comfortable with having around all day on wedding day and Ben fit what we were looking for perfectly! We received our teaser video really quickly after wedding day and absolutely LOVE it - we watch it all the time and it takes it right back to wedding day.

Our highlight film was pieced together very smoothly and captured the best moments from all angles. Video quality was the highest; great resolution, smooth transitions, and voice over was very clear. Ben, himself, was professional, prompt, and quick to answer any and all questions. Rocky Mountain Films did an absolute phenomenal job capturing our wedding! We are forever grateful to Ben for creating such an incredible wedding video for us! Due to Covid and travel restrictions between countries, we were unable to have a large wedding as we had originally wanted, and instead opted for an elopement-style wedding with just the two of us. Because none of our friends and family could attend the ceremony, we really wanted to make sure that we could have our day captured on film so that we could share it with them afterward. Ben went above and beyond to capture the ceremony and all of the beautiful and memorable details throughout the day. He provided us with both the full-length unedited version of the entire event, as well as a breathtaking 3-minute trailer, complete with our choice of background music, aerial shots of our venue, and moments of our vows to each other. It was very artistically and skillfully put together. We both cried when we first watched the film, and each friend and family member who watched it confessed that the beauty and romance of it brought tears to their eyes. Thank you so much, Ben, for capturing and immortalizing the most special day of our lives.

Rocky Mountain Films are absolute lifesavers! My husband and I got married in June 2020. Due to COVID19, we had to cancel everything! The big ceremony, party, food, etc. Our wedding date meant a lot to us so we decided to stick with it and still get married. We had to un-invite over 200 guests and only have immediate family at the ceremony. However, we still wanted our guests to feel like they were apart of our day, so we decided to LiveStream the wedding. We wanted it more formal and not done through Facebook or Instagram live. That's when we contacted Rocky Mountain Films. They were nothing but wonderful, professional, flexible, and kind. Rocky Mountain Films made a professional website where only our invited guest could watch the live stream of the wedding and also leave us notes. The live stream was very high quality and many guests complimented it! I would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Films to any bride or groom who's looking for an affordable and professional videographer!

Ben is so great at what he does. He was there very early on the day and was ready and recording before we were! We got our teaser back 5 days after our wedding which was soooo good and we really appreciated the fast turn around. It was about 5 weeks for us to get the highlight film which we also were impressed with as we've heard that videographers can take MONTHS! and of course we love it.

We were very happy with how things went on our wedding day and Ben was lovely and didn't order us around as much as our photographer did but we loved his work. We would recommend him to others who prefer the candid style and nothing overly posed.

Ben is Amazing! We originally planned on getting married as a destination wedding in Colorado and found Ben for the big day. Due to Covid we had to cancel our original plans and decided to get married in Minnesota where we are from. We reached out to Ben to see if he had any interest in coming to Minnesota to still capture the day and he said he would love to! Ben went above and beyond to capture our day, including hoping on a plane and coming to us. He has great energy and I would highly recommend him to anyone. I decided last minute to include a videographer at our wedding. Ben had last minute availability and filmed our wedding on his birthday! I was working with a budget and he was flexible in tailoring my wishes to my budget. I asked for both a long we video of speeches/ceremony as well as a shorter highlight film. My husband and I received a song written for us as a wedding gift and Ben beautifully incorporated the song into our video. He also was very kind and helpful when I mistakenly saved the video and a bad spot and couldn’t find it almost a year after the wedding. I’m so grateful not only for the incredible work he did on our wedding, but the support he provided after. We couldn’t be happier with Rocky Mountain Films and because of our positive experience, we have no regrets about spending additional funds on an incredible videographer.

Hi there! I'm Ben and Rocky Mountain Films is my pride and joy. Videography has been my passion for most of my life and my profession for most of my adult life. I live and breathe the mountains and love the variety of amazing wedding destinations here in Colorado, and all of those beautiful mountain backdrops. I typically favor more candid shots and won't force you into any awkward poses that keep you from enjoying the day. When it comes to editing, my style is modern and upbeat without being overly trendy, so that it will stay timeless. Get in touch and I'd love to help capture your big day!
