Rocky Mountain Wildflowers exceeded expectations! We had very minimal flowers at my wedding including bridal bouquets. My bouquet was so beautiful. I loved it so much and even had ...
the flowers preserved so I can look at it every day.
The owner is extremely scattered and non-responsive. She never returned my calls or emails. She never showed up on my wedding day as promised -- she sent her family members who had...
no idea where everything was supposed to go, and inappropriately asked the venue staff to take care of the florals for them. They left the ceremony flowers sitting out in the hot air for hours and hours, despite Lorie telling me she would make another trip with them closer to the start of the ceremony so this exact scenario didn't happen. Her husband came up with some lie about it being a liability to put their arrangement on the arch, and told my mom to do it (WTF?!). Our venue coordinator cofirmed that is absolutely untrue. The large arch arrangement ended up in the wrong spot, which I didn't see until I was walking down the aisle. On top of everything, the flowers were pretty but not actually want I wanted and not what we had talked about. The centerpieces were completely off. They forgot the flower girl petals. They never brought the extra vases for the bouquets to go in upstairs. I was hugely disappointed (especially after making repeated attempts to get in touch with Lorie leading up to our date), and it was the only thing that went wrong on an otherwise perfect day. I tried not to let it bother me, but let's be real, it did. Flowers were my top priority for the day and we had a comfortable budget. I wish I would have gone with someone else and urge you to do so for your wedding. Lorie causes major stress no bride needs before or on the big day.
DO NOT USE ROCKY MOUNTAIN WILDFLOWER FOR YOUR FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS!!! Do NOT be fooled by the sweet idea of having your floral arrangements made by Rocky Mountain Wildflowers. Lo...
ri is consumed with so many responsibilities to manage in her life, like managing her farm with alpacas, owning and running Glow Salon, in addition to many other responsibilities. Almost a year before our wedding I made an appointment and drove up to Estes Park from the Denver area to meet with Lori. When I got to Lori's place of business for Rocky Mountain Wildflowers, I was surprised to discover that I was meeting her at a salon. When I got inside the salon, I was told Lori owned and ran the salon, but was not meeting me because she had some other responsibility she had to attend to, so I was to meet with her sister, Christy. Although Christy is truly kind, she is not a florist, she is a hair stylist. I entertained the idea and sat with Christy and discussed our ideas for the floral arrangements for our wedding. After the meeting, emails were sent back and forth, and I decided to make another appointment, this time with Lori the florist and owner for Rocky Mountain Wildflowers. Lori and I had a lovely meeting, and she understood how important it was for me to have these flower arrangements made for our wedding. I am quite the flower lover. I even had a back-up florist in Denver, but canceled with them because my meeting with Lori really assured me things would go well. I went ahead and pre-paid for our arrangements. After meeting with Lori at her salon, I decided to also arrange for me and a few other girls to get ready at the salon the morning of our wedding. On the day of our wedding, I was sitting in the hair stylist chair and said, "I can't wait to see my floral crown!" The hair stylist stepped back confused and walked over to Christy and then returned. She explained that Lori FORGOT about our floral arrangements!!!! I tried to remain calm as Christy apologized and explained that Lori and her family were quickly making silk arrangements so that we would at least have something for our wedding. We were 2 hours late to our wedding and lost 2 hours of our wedding reception because Lori just FORGOT. The silk arrangements were NOTHING along the lines of what we had discussed. I was so heartbroken looking at our wedding photos with our disappointing floral arrangements. The day after our wedding I went back to the salon and Lori's daughter refunded me and apologized. Christy apologized. Lori never did. A few weeks later my husband and I returned to Glow Salon to retrieve items that were accidentally left behind. Lori told me she almost stole the items because they were so cute. Again, she never apologized for the heartbreaking disappointment she caused for forgetting about our weddings flower arrangements and for wasting hours of our wedding day. She is heartless.
They did an amazing job with my wedding! The customer service was spectacular, they worked with my budget, and the bouquets, boutinneires, and greenery we ordered were absolutely b...
eautiful! I highly recommend this florist for your wedding or event!
My husband and I were blown away at the floral arrangements Lorie created for us for our wedding day. She is kind, patient, and professional. From the bouquets and floral arrangeme...
nts framing us during our ceremony, to the incredible centerpieces for our reception. She did an outstanding job. Our wedding theme was the four seasons and our wedding colors were blue and purple. We asked Lorie to come up with creative ways to represent the four seasons in our floral centerpieces and she did not disappoint! The flowers were beautiful!!!! We could not have been happier with all of the beautiful flowers we are so thankful and lucky to have had on our wedding day. We HIGHLY recommend Rocky Mountain Wildflowers!!!
They did a beautiful job on my daughters wedding bouquet and the maid of honor bouquet. The table arrangements were outstanding. They talked to us ahead of time and asked my daugh...
ter what she was looking for. She described how she wanted the table arrangements and when the day arrived and I saw them, i couldn’t believe how they had taken an idea and created such beautiful centerpieces.
If you are planning your Wedding in Estes Park, CO, Rocky Mountain Wildflowers should hands down be your florist of choice! Christy and Lorie were professional and detail oriented ...
from start to finish, and made planning a long-distance wedding a breeze! My Bridal Bouquet, boutonnieres, corsages, and MOH Bouquet were STUNNING and exactly what I asked for! Delivery was prompt and I couldn't have been happier with the whole process! Thank you, Christy & Lorie!
Lorie and Rocky Mountain Wildflowers did amazing work for my wedding, and were so flexible and generous. My mother has a floral background, and wanted to make my bouquet herself, ...
but with our destination wedding, she didn't think she would have the facilities to do so. Lorie offered to let my mother purchase flowers from her bundles and work in her home studio to make the bouquet, then stored it for us in her cooler. Lorie herself designed and made three centerpieces that were absolutely gorgeous--and when she arrived to deliver the flowers on the day of and realized we had candles on the tables, she quickly adapted the centerpieces so they wouldn't clash with the candles. Do be persistent in calling, as they seem to have a lot of business and sometimes don't call back right away--but they are worth some persistence! I would certainly recommend them to anyone getting married in the Estes Park area.
These women are amazing! They made every piece of this process so simple and easy. My (now) husband and I live over seas so it was challenging to plan our wedding over the phone an...
d email, but these ladies really killed it! At the consultation they asked questions that made me (a complete novice) feel informed about what I wanted even though I really knew very little about what I was looking for. They engaged both of us in the flower preparation (I didn't always feel that way with other vendors) and made us feel like both our opinions mattered. On the day they were there on time and helped put on the corsages and boutonnieres for my family which was awesome. Later they came back to move flowers from the ceremony site to the reception for our centerpieces and were super accommodating to all the things we requested. They were awesome, totally highly recommend them again!
I absolutely loved my flowers at my wedding from Rocky Mountain Florists! I'm a control freak, and flowers are the one thing that is hard to really get a solid idea of what they ar...
e going to look like based on the notes you've given to the florist, and I can tell you my expectations were far exceeded. I got so many compliments on the bouquets and arrangements!
I would never recommend this florist. They were to deliver my daughter's bridal bouquet and when it didn't arrive, I called. Miscommunication, ok. But when the bouquet arrived, it ...
had almost no flowers, and they were quite wilted. The bouquet was mostly greenery, which was also in poor shape. Everyone in our party was agast, and this was $75. I ran out to catch the manager and totally lost my cool as she told me that the absolutely dead boutineer was just the way it was. I got angrier and angrier at the excuses. My bad. She said they would not charge me for the bouquet. My daughter had her wedding with no bouquet. Let me repeat that. NO BOUQUET! But they did, infact, charge me and left me a message that they expected an apology! They offered no apology to me or my daughter. If you like this kind of arrogance and stress, by all means use them. Your risk. If you have a modest wedding, they could care less, apparently
Lorie at Rocky Mountain Wildflowers was very helpful with the flowers for my wedding. there were a few miscommunications (partially because of last minute changes on my part) but ...
it all got worked out in the end, and she was very understanding. The flowers were gorgeous and the prices were reasonable. Plus, she took a large amount of time out to meet with me when we first were discussing flowers. She is very creative and can make all kinds of wedding pieces not just bouquets. This is a great place to go both for more standard flowers as well as out of the ordinary requests.
