se. The first time we met to discuss our vision he was able to figure out we were a fun couple and we were looking for a fun DJ that was ready for a big party. Unfortunately john was not available for our wedding reception on June 2nd. He said that he had a good DJ in mind that he would send. Our DJ was Kevin and I was not happy with him at all. First off, he questioned me on some of the entrance songs that we picked. After I told him to play the songs, he continued to challenge me which pissed me off. Through some of the special dances the music cut out a bit which was pretty annoying. Right at midnight, the music cut off in mid song and he started packing up until I walked up and told him that we had it until 12:30 and then he continued playing. Towards the end of the night, I requested a song and he just stared at me with this mad look and flat out said no like he was angry or something. He easily could of taken a different approach. I found that extremely rude and that pissed me off even more. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there, he didn't seem to be having any fun and he definitely didn't fit with what we were looking for. I spoke with John shortly after our wedding to discuss my displeasure with Kevin and how unhappy we were. We spent a lot of money on this service to not be 100% satisfied. I wish we had John DJ our wedding because I know he would of taken pride in his work.

Sadly, John was not able to actually attend the wedding, but his DJ, Tim was actually there the night of the wedding. He read the crowd perfectly, and had everyone dancing to the last minute. Every one of our guests has told us that our wedding was the most fun they have had at a wedding, and a large part of that was Rolling Sounds. We had nothing to worry about the night of the wedding and are forever grateful for the professionalism of John and the staff at Rolling Sounds Entertainment. ng day in August 2017. About two months before the wedding, John helped us customize our ceremony music and special dances music. He gave great advice on how the timeline would work, and it was so nice to just trust in him and know that the ceremony and reception timeline would all be taken care of by him. We also hired John to come to our rehearsal, and I'm so happy he did. He gave great advice, and I felt a huge relief to do a run-through with him before our big day. The day of our wedding, he made sure all of the timing was right for our ceremony. He made sure to help us with the timing for our special dances, and even helped us surprise the winners of the anniversary dance with a gift (my grandparents ended up winning with 60 years married in the books; the idea of surprising them with a gift made my grandmother cry tears of happiness!) I'm sure other brides have worried during their planning processes that the dance floor may be empty, especially since it's completely out of the couple's control. With John and his team, our dance floor was packed from the time the floor opened until our reception ended. We had nothing but compliments from all our guests about the music and how much fun they had, and we owe it all to Rolling Sounds. I will forever remember how they made our day as amazing as it was and will continue to refer them to anyone else who is in need of a DJ!

Our dance floor was packed the whole night, and we are still getting compliments about John and the music months after our wedding took place. John allows you to select as much music as you want, and fills in the rest of the songs with whatever he feels is working best with the crowd and the mood. We would recommend John 100%.

It was probably the best vendor decision I made.

His Emcee ablities were profesional and friendly not corny or obnoxious. His additional services are by far the most affordable of all the DJs we interviewed, we used the facade and it was sharp. He showed up with plenty of set up time and was even prepared for a change of location due to weather. Hands down recommend Rolling Sounds to EVERYONE! my husband's wishes for our vision of our ceremony and wedding. He played every song we requested and added similar songs that we also enjoyed. I really liked that we went over all the songs selected for the ceremony and bridal party entry at the final meeting, even the timing that they should begin. It went seamlessly. Additionally, my husband and I were looking for a DJ who could read crowds well and get people up, dancing, and excited. John did just this -- our guests were dancing all night! John has been at my venue numerous times (Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park), so I had the benefit of his familiarity. The photo booth was a big hit too! John's daughter ran it, and did an awesome job inviting guests in and making a memorable photo book. My experience was so positive with John!

to me because I'm a big music person. Not only did he arrange the absolute perfect songs, he truely is the reason the reception ran smoothly. He was knowledgable, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend John to anyone and everyone! It doesn't get any better than him!

During the week before the wedding he gladly talked on the phone with me for about 30 minutes and showed a lot of excitement since he hadn't worked our venue before and was interested to see it (could have fooled me that it was his first time there based on how well he did!). I don't like tacky lighting for DJs and his DJ stand was so elegant, a soft pink/purple light that actually made our first dance and reception photos look really romantic and beautiful! We had a little issue with sound traveling to the tented portion of our venue, but he was able to move a speaker to adjust and all was well. He had great ideas for fun bridal party intros and did a great job with the music playlists all night, especially considering he had to compete with the ebb and flow of guests heading outside to the patio and lakefront with a beautiful sunset and skyline. We had a great time and Rolling Sounds did an excellent job!

We didn't have much of a play list and he offered some great suggestions along with a reception agenda for us to modify and finalize. It was comforting to go to a vendor that has been in business for years and definitely knows what they're doing. Rolling Sounds Entertainment not only offers Disc Jockeys but also Room Lighting and Light Shows. We had such a cute wedding spotlight along with the amazing entertainment. We received so many compliments on the DJ and the music. It's definitely true that the DJ can make or break the wedding reception. I have nothing but positive things to say about Rolling Sounds Entertainment, and am so appreciative that the director was so helpful for a couple that was out a DJ a week before the wedding.
