It was a fantastic experience working with John. He is incredibly thorough and detail-oriented - his planning forms and playlists helped us narrow down what we wanted and made sure there was an appropriate song for each moment of our wedding. John’s many years of experience were so valuable since my husband and I hadn’t been to many weddings, and his suggestions were spot on. I also appreciate how considerate he was by not putting us in the spotlight more than we wanted to be, which was not much as two introverts! The song choices during the reception were perfect, and they kept people on the dance floor all night while sticking to our planned schedule. Isaiah, the assistant DJ, was phenomenal as well. He was a lot of fun and helped keep the energy up. We received compliments throughout the night and afterwards about how much our guests were enjoying the DJs and music choices. Basically, we couldn’t have been more impressed with Rolling Sounds, and we’re so grateful!

Rolling Sounds Entertainment was a fantastic addition to our wedding. Both John and our assigned DJ, Tim, were very thorough in the weeks leading up to the big day, going through our song list and name pronunciations. Tim was an expert at reading the room and perfectly picked out songs to keep the party going. Multiple guests told me how much they loved our DJ, which was very important to my husband and me when planning our wedding. We enjoyed the photo booth that Rolling Sounds provided as well. The picture quality was sharp, the prints came out quickly, and the booth staffer brought a variety of props. We highly recommend including this organization in your wedding plans.

We met with John about 3 months before our wedding and he went over everything with us. The website to pick the music was easy to use and he made our day very special. I would recommend him to anyone because you will definitely get your moneys worth. Thanks John for everything!

We met with John for our 2020 wedding. He was very helpful and gave many great suggestions about how to keep tradition but also stay current and fun with our wedding. He really helped us set out our timeline. We eventually had to postpone our wedding and he was extremely understanding and allowed us to carryover our deposit to 2021. We met with him again before the wedding and he helped us pick out our ceremony music. At the wedding, he really read the room to ensure that he played the right music to keep the dance floor alive. John is very personable and knowledgeable. I am so glad we went with him to DJ our wedding!

We found Rolling Sounds through our wedding coordinator and are so happy she pointed us to John and his crew. We did all of our initial set up with John and then had Danny the day of as our DJ. He did an amazing job of seeing the guests on the dance floor and also helping keeping our timeline on track! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a DJ!

John and Isaiah did such a wonderful job at our wedding. Played a lot of songs that we requested. Was very entertaining with the guest. Interacted with us and our guest as well. Very good with communication and our wedding went by very smoothly with them!

John was amazing to work with! The biggest compliment we received from our guests was that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. My wife and I truly believe that John captured the crowd that night! He had the dance floor full and moving the entire night. He also had so many great ideas to make our wedding unique and memorable. For example, table shots are always thought to be a long process but because of him, he made it a fun game with the crowd and we were able to get them done in under 10 minutes!! He is outstanding to work with and has great communication to make your event perfect! We can't wait to work with him for future events!!

Our DJ was Tim and he was professional, nice and on top of everything. We went over the timeline at least 3 times and he sent me updates and made sure everything in line with our wedding planner's timeline. He knew when it was his queue. Tim did music for the ceremony and reception and we felt that he did a great job. He played exactly what we requested for the ceremony. And for the reception, we submitted a lot of songs that we like and love and dislike so Tim stuck to that list and played similar songs too. We had a great time! Thank you Tim :)

Working with John and Rolling Sounds was a great experience all around. John was able to give us his expert advice from very early on in our wedding planning stages and was extremely responsive. During the wedding they did a great job playing music and made sure all of the entertainment was taken care of. After the reception we received a ton of feedback from guests on how great our DJ was. Hands down the best DJ ever! He made last minute adjustments to accommodate our backyard wedding. Our family was non stop dancing and had the best time. Already looking forward to our big reception next year! Could not recommend him more!

Rolling sounds did an amazing job! John and Isaiah did an awesome job with the music! Being a picky bride, I was happy I was able to pick the entire playlist and John helped us decide which songs would be best for dancing or dinner. He actually took the time to sit with us and go through each song. If you’re not as picky as me, they have a huge list of music to choose from and they know what songs work best to create a fun atmosphere. Rolling sounds is super thorough and made the wedding planning process a lot easier and, of course, they made the wedding fun!

We can't say enough about Rolling Sounds and John and his team. Creating our own playlist from the vast online database was not only great fun, but it gave us an opportunity to bond even more talking about the music we love. John was already personally booked for our date, but no worries! His team did a phenomonal job as DJs, Masters of Ceremony, and read the crowd to keep the dancing going non-stop THE ENTIRE evening. We had two special requests. We wanted to play the incredible proposal video that my husband had made for me of the story of how we met, and his daughter performed an original song for us on her guitar. They had all the equipment we needed, coordinated with the reception venue and took the worry out of our hands. It was exactly the party we had hoped it would be!

We met with John prior to booking Rolling Sounds and were very impressed with his experience and knowledge as a DJ. Once we booked Rolling Sounds, we were given the option to fill out forms that helped to set up our entire reception timeline and flow. This was really helpful for us, knowing that we were providing everything they needed but also to know that the night was scheduled out ahead of time. Rolling Sounds has an online database of the most popular wedding songs (and other lists) which was very helpful for us. We were able to go through these lists to put together our must haves and do-not-plays without spending days researching wedding music. Our DJ did a wonderful job reading the crowd and our dance floor was packed the whole night.

We loved working with Rolling Sounds. Our DJ was John and he was fabulous. So many people complimented on how fun the wedding was and it was thanks to some great music. Everything went perfectly according to schedule and John was wonderful about keeping us in the loop and on track. Would highly recommend his work.

The dance floor was packed the whole time.... plain and simple. I highly recommend Rolling Sounds Entertainment & Lighting vendor. John, you're the man. John's an awesome DJ and just an overall well rounded guy that knows the best taste in music. He'll help you out big time and has great advise/suggestions that correlate the music in with your wedding/party. Jennifer and I had our wedding this past September and I don't think I left the dance floor. My in-laws have used Rolling Sounds for years for all types of occasions and it's safe to say we wouldn't have it any other way.

John DJ'd our wedding a week ago. It was amazing, he did such a good job playing to the crowd that the dance floor was packed all night. He also was amazing with keeping things moving on time and very helpful with tips on what to do and what not to do. My husband and I couldn't have been happier and we highly recommend them.

Working with John was amazing! He was so laid back, very helpful in the entire planning process, and had tons of great resources when it came to music choices and decisions. Not to mention his prices are extremely reasonable. The only reason that I am giving 3 stars is because of our specific DJ. We were disappointed with his lack of energy and entertainment, but the music was still good. We wish we splurged to have John as our DJ because planning through him was such a great experience.

We loved Rolling Sounds!!! From the very first meeting until the end of our wedding night, we always felt like we were in good hands! We started off meeting with John, who was great! Always listening to what we wanted and giving advice when needed. Our DJ for our wedding was Mike, and he was great as well! He added/changed things last minute with no issue. He was fun, personable and kept the wedding going all night. There was never a time when people weren’t on the dance floor!

Rolling Sounds was amazing!! John was very helpful and knowledgeable, which helped me feel so relieved. Dj Rick was awesome!! My husband and I rarely dance and he kepts us on the dance floor all night!!! Guests got their boogie on and all said that they had a great time! Definitely recommend their wonderful service!

The process leading up to the wedding was well organized and helpful to us in figuring out what music we wanted to have. The online database and planning forms were essential for us to coordinate our event. Thankfully we were so involved instead of leaving it to the discretion of our DJ as we were disappointed in the DJ the night of our wedding. He was low energy - especially during the wedding party entrance when he should have gotten the guests hyped up for the wedding party and our entrance as the new Mr & Mrs. We created custom intros to add to the fun but the low energy made it seem awkward and not special. Plus, the equipment we requested and paid an upcharge for was not put out where we could see it. Rather it was put behind the DJ booth, which translated into lower quality/volume level of the music, and we did not know that the correct equipment was actually brought to the event. I was always told that the one thing you want to splurge on at your wedding is entertainment - I am disappointed that we paid more than other vendors for this aspect and it did not meet our expectations. Thank goodness our guests are all good sports and danced the night away because they love music and dancing. When they commented to me afterward that they even noticed the DJ's lack of interest, I was even more disheartened.

DJ Tim and his assistant from Rolling Sounds Entertainment did an awesome job the weeks leading up to our wedding and on our big day. Meeting with the owner to cover all of our music requests and his typed up agenda gave me reassurance that August 17th would absolutely run smoothly. John even prints out the agenda for all parties (any vendors/hall involved that day) to ensure everyone is on the same page. Tim and his assistant were dressed professionally and showed up ahead of time to set up at both our outdoor ceremony as well as the reception. The professionalism, look of the equipment, sound, and personality of Tim is why I am taking the time to write this review in the first place... thanks man! We had the best weekend ever tearing up the dance floor all night with you guys!

JOHN IS THE BEST! He was so easy to get ahold of and responded very fast. He was like a second wedding planner! He made the reception run smoothly and did everything we asked. He’s not just at the reception and standing behind the booth. He’s helpful, personable, and knows what he’s doing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ in the Chicago area!

What a great and professional DJ company! They have the whole process of choosing music and planning the night down to a simple yet perfectly detailed checklist. Working with John made everything easier, he even set us up with a great photographer! Our DJ did a great job setting the atmosphere and keeping the night on track and upbeat. A perfect evening!

First ,do yourself a favor and meet with John before you book your venue or any other vendor. He has been doing this for a long time and knows what to expect and helped us navigate with our venue and putting the agenda together. He was so easy to work with and you can tell he has a passion for making weddings a fun experience for you and your guests. Second, he was amazing to work with from start to finish. Great communication from start to finish. Our DJ, Billy D, kept the the dance floor full and we had some amazing "one hit wonders" from the 70's to the 90's for our cocktail and dinner. One guest said it was refreshing to hear good music for a change at a wedding. He consistently made sure the sound and tunes were what we wanted. We wanted a fun party to celebrate our wedding and John, Billy D and the crew at Rolling Sound brought it to life. We can't thank them enough for being part of our amazing day!

I want to start out by saying that John from Rolling sounds was amazing to work with. His pride and passion for his business definitely shines through with every meeting and phone conversation we have had. His website and database was easy to use. The first time we met to discuss our vision he was able to figure out we were a fun couple and we were looking for a fun DJ that was ready for a big party. Unfortunately john was not available for our wedding reception on June 2nd. He said that he had a good DJ in mind that he would send. Our DJ was Kevin and I was not happy with him at all. First off, he questioned me on some of the entrance songs that we picked. After I told him to play the songs, he continued to challenge me which pissed me off. Through some of the special dances the music cut out a bit which was pretty annoying. Right at midnight, the music cut off in mid song and he started packing up until I walked up and told him that we had it until 12:30 and then he continued playing. Towards the end of the night, I requested a song and he just stared at me with this mad look and flat out said no like he was angry or something. He easily could of taken a different approach. I found that extremely rude and that pissed me off even more. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there, he didn't seem to be having any fun and he definitely didn't fit with what we were looking for. I spoke with John shortly after our wedding to discuss my displeasure with Kevin and how unhappy we were. We spent a lot of money on this service to not be 100% satisfied. I wish we had John DJ our wedding because I know he would of taken pride in his work.

John was great from the first time we spoke with him all the way thru the reception. Always willing to give suggestions but respectful to what we wanted as well. Professional, fun, and great delivery.

Where to begin?! John from Rolling Siunds Entertainment was absolutely amazing! Our wedding was March 24, 2018 and I’ve already heard countless amounts of wonderful compliments about the DJ. I would recommend John and his company to anyone. We’ve already had a few of our guests take his card the night of the event. John truly made our wedding very special, our dance floor was never empty! John did a great job of incorporating all types of music that all generations love! Our DJ John was fabulous, he sat with us two times before our wedding to go over all the details and the agenda to ensure that everything went smoothly. He gave us some wonderful suggestions as well as honest feedback on some of the ideas that we had come up with. The night of the wedding everything went as planned because of John. The music was fantastic and everyone told us how great the music was, John was extremely good at reading the crowd to get them on the dance floor. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We found Rolling Sounds Entertainment through the Knot, and are very pleased with their services. Our first meeting with John was wonderful. He was professional and offered assistance in helping us to get our wedding timeline on track based on his years of experience. He was honest and truthful on what he believed work and what didn’t. They were even great to customize songs for us! Sadly, John was not able to actually attend the wedding, but his DJ, Tim was actually there the night of the wedding. He read the crowd perfectly, and had everyone dancing to the last minute. Every one of our guests has told us that our wedding was the most fun they have had at a wedding, and a large part of that was Rolling Sounds. We had nothing to worry about the night of the wedding and are forever grateful for the professionalism of John and the staff at Rolling Sounds Entertainment. We have never met anyone as passionate as John.

I cannot say enough good things about John and his DJ's. Throughout the entire process, John was so helpful with any questions I had and was super organized. We met John in an impromptu meeting after meeting with our photographer (they share the same office space). I later found out he was the DJ at my matron of honor’s wedding, which was a blast! With the amount of experience he has, we felt comfortable putting our entertainment and lighting needs in his hands for our big day. The lighting made the room look amazing! John played all our requests and had the dance floor packed the entire night. Even my 78-year-old grandmother was out on the floor! During the planning process, we were always able to get ahold of John, whether through email or phone, which was nice since we live in Iowa. John was willing to meet with us any time we came into town, which was mainly weekends. I’ve already recommended him to one of my bridesmaids who’s getting married next year! I promise you will not be disappointed with John and Rolling Sounds!!

My new husband and I cannot thank John and Rolling Sounds enough! We met with John back in April 2016 after meeting with our photographers, and right after that initial meeting with him, I became extremely excited to work with him for our wedding day in August 2017. About two months before the wedding, John helped us customize our ceremony music and special dances music. He gave great advice on how the timeline would work, and it was so nice to just trust in him and know that the ceremony and reception timeline would all be taken care of by him. We also hired John to come to our rehearsal, and I'm so happy he did. He gave great advice, and I felt a huge relief to do a run-through with him before our big day. The day of our wedding, he made sure all of the timing was right for our ceremony. He made sure to help us with the timing for our special dances, and even helped us surprise the winners of the anniversary dance with a gift (my grandparents ended up winning with 60 years married in the books; the idea of surprising them with a gift made my grandmother cry tears of happiness!) I'm sure other brides have worried during their planning processes that the dance floor may be empty, especially since it's completely out of the couple's control. With John and his team, our dance floor was packed from the time the floor opened until our reception ended. We had nothing but compliments from all our guests about the music and how much fun they had, and we owe it all to Rolling Sounds. I will forever remember how they made our day as amazing as it was and will continue to refer them to anyone else who is in need of a DJ!

John and Rolling Sounds were a fantastic company to work with. Working with John made the entire song selection and itinerary set up so much easier - it is very evident from early on that John is a true professional, and he helps make everything easier every step of the way. The quality of equipment John uses is amazing, and the sound was fantastic. Our dance floor was packed the whole night, and we are still getting compliments about John and the music months after our wedding took place. John allows you to select as much music as you want, and fills in the rest of the songs with whatever he feels is working best with the crowd and the mood. We would recommend John 100%.

John from Rolling Sounds was AMAZING. My fiancé and I were unable to meet with him due to location issues (we were living in Oklahoma and planning our wedding in Orland Park) and he was completely accommodating! The event went amazingly... no issues or worries with the music or flow of the evening at all. Thank you so much!!

John at Rolling Sounds handled our wedding at Georgios 5/19/17. From the initial contact with him, we were impressed with his professionalism and the website and music database’s quality. He also had many good suggestions for the ceremony since we also used a DJ for that. The day of the wedding, he got people dancing and took suggestions well. It ended up being a great night, and as you know, the DJ/music really makes or breaks a party!

We worked with Rolling sounds for our wedding on April 29th. Rolling Sounds was great to work with from start to finish! The consultation meetings were fun and efficient and left no question unanswered. The DJ was flexible and accommodated last minute requests and made sure that we had everything we needed.

JOHN IS THE MAN!!!! We knew from our very first consultation that he was the perfect fit for our starry night wedding. He was so upbeat and excited. It honestly was the best decision we ever made. We were able to customize our ceremony and reception exactly how we wanted it, and the best part was that he was honest and truthful if he felt the song wouldn't fit the moment. You need to hear those things and I'm glad he was able to voice his opinion. That's something you won't find anywhere. John was felixible, and always in a wonderful mood. He was able to incorporate music that went along with our theme...awesome as hell!!!! He gave us an outline of our ceremony and reception. Nothing was random, everything was planned out accordingly. He had so many fun ideas, and they made our night entertaining. We danced ALL NIGHT LONG! The dance floor was never empty. Many many thanks to John Garand and the Rolling Sounds Team! John and his crew were absolutely awesome! Music selection done by him was to the taste of everyone as the wedding was unfolding! Super helpful with coordination and line up process of wedding . My husband and I saw John at the Tinley Park wedding show at the VFW and we could just tell from hearing him talk to other people interested in his services that he had his shit together! And he does! He works with you on every detail and makes sure you are going be happy with the outcome. Everyone enjoyed the music he played at the receiption and he kept the guests and myself (my hubby's not really a dancer ;-) ) moving all night long! We also had John play music for our wedding ceremony, which was outside, and you could hear the music perfectly. I would highly recommend John and Rolling Sounds for your next event or wedding! John was amazing to work with- prompt and easy to get in contact with, very flexibly and accommodating, and had great suggestions. He helped up personalize our Brookfield Zoo wedding and make it unique. Although he was unavailable to DJ our event, his associate Kevin was amazing! They know how to keep the dance floor packed, and what songs will please your audience.

We accidentally landed upon Rolling Sounds while we were waiting to meet with the photographer. John kept us company and started explaining his company. He was fantastic and very honest about what works and what does not. On the day of the wedding, John was there and made sure everything was perfect from his set up to having the wait staff re mop the sticky dance floor before guests arrived. He took our ideas and made them into a perfect reality. People have commented how great the music was and no one ever left the dance floor!

My Husband and I were so pleased we chose Rolling Sounds! Very professional and played all the best music we selected. We were very impressed about the music he had when there were request from our guests. John made our wedding stress free when it came down to the order of the ceremony and reception! They guided us with the program I mean it was perfection. Money well spent and I would recommend them to everyone! The photo booth was amazing with probs and getting an album. They keep the guests engaged and it was phenomenal!

John was FANTASTIC. From the minute we met we clicked and came up with great ideas for our wedding. He listened to what we wanted and played to that. We told him we wanted to dance all night and he made sure that happened. He is also very easy to contact and very prompt with returning emails. The online database of songs and list system he has created is so easy to use and makes picking your favorite songs a piece of cake. After the wedding all of our guests raved about him and was asking for our playlist. Would recommend him to anyone!
