The mansion is gorgeous. There were a few logistical items that I didn’t quite process how they would impact the day. For example, there is only one staircase inside, and the outdoor patio does not connect to the outdoor ceremony area. There are limitations to keep in mind with catering.

We chose Rollins Mansion for our wedding venue and are so happy we did! The venue is stunning and meticulously maintained both indoors and out. Jacky, the venue coordinator, was absolutely amazing to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly. We also got to work with Brianna who helped us book the in-house catering through Artisanal Food Company. Our cocktail hour and dinner food was incredible, our guests loved it! Steve bartended for the night and was a favorite among guests. We are so thankful for the entire team at Rollins Mansion for making our wedding day everything we wanted and more!

Truly my dream venue. So beautiful, unique, and historic - and in my budget. Jacky was incredible to work with leading up to the day. From my perspective as a bride, everything went smoothly! I continue to receive compliments on the venue especially, even approaching our one year anniversary. My only issue was that they had promised the fountain would be on for our ceremony, and it wasn't. However, they did turn on lights outdoors for us that we were told would not be available, so in my opinion, it all balanced out at the end!

We hosted a formal event at this venue in December and had an amazing time! The staff were so friendly and easy to work with, and our attendees had nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue and food. We were also lucky to be able to host this event while the holiday decorations were up, which made the venue even more magical. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a place to hold an event in Des Moines.

We loved everything about this venue! The beautiful location can’t be beat. Inside and out is just fantastic! When 97 degree weather forced our decision to move inside, the team at Rollins had our backs and made the transition inside with ease. While we didn’t get the beautiful views of downtown during dinner, we were able to use their beautiful ballroom on the lower level, a truly elegant room. I would be remiss to not mention the food! From appetizers through main course, the food could not have been better. With their guidance, we choose the perfect combinations! The ribeye steaks were probably the best I’ve ever had! Everyone was raving about them! The team at Rollins will put together the perfect day for you! I would book with them again in an instant!!

From the moment my husband and I stepped into Rollins Mansion we knew it would be the perfect place for our special day. Everything about the space is spectacular from the variety of outdoor options and intricate design work throughout the building. Not only is the space grand, the staff is a dream to work with. We felt like everything was always under control and stress free with the help of Breanna and Jacky. They both have so much attention to detail which does not go unnoticed when planning a wedding. We cannot recommend Rollins Mansion enough and would choose this venue over and over again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I chose Rollins mansion for our wedding venue earlier this year. Although there are many incredible things to say about this venue, the one that comes to mind the most is “stunning.” The architecture of the building brings so many candid photo opportunities as well as interesting conversations for guests. Its natural beauty needs little decor meaning budget can be spent on other things. And The near labyrinth like floor plan is sometimes mesmerizing but also intriguing, leaving guests to wander and engulf themselves in their natural curiosity. The staff of the venue are professional, clean, very easy to work with, incredibly helpful. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing even on a bright, sunny day. The butlers were always near and were very quick with delivering food and cleaning tables. The bartender was super approachable and was quick to get drinks to counter. And the vendor coordinators Jacky and Brianna were so pleasant to talk to. They responded in a very timely manner, asked the important questions, and were incredible to work with. All in all, if I was asked to give anyone any advice, it would be to choose this venue. There wasn’t a single thing about our day their that I couldn’t call perfect.

This venue was immaculate. The photos we got were stunning and the staff were very helpful with confirming vendors and doing walkthroughs. The mansion itself is HUGE with plenty of perfect photo options. We were allowed to decorate ourselves and the mansion was very clear on their requirements.

I organized a surprise 70th birthday party for my sister from Arizona- trusting the website description (it was “Spot On”) Dealing with both Brianna & Stacy whom were completely professional & accommodating to my needs! The whole process was easy & seamless. We had the event for 19 people and pulled the surprise off! Accommodations were exactly as expected! Food was amazing! Bar & food service was perfect! All who attended (most from Des Moines area) had never heard of Rollins Mansion & we’re very impressed with everything! We couldn’t be happier with our experience!

The mansion was absolutely gorgeous with all the Christmas decorations and our guests were enamored with all of the architecture and things to see. The staff were incredible, seeing to all our needs and making sure the day went without any issues. 100% would recommend!

The venue was fantastic. Everyone who helped us was kind and informative. The pricing was affordable and we got a discount for a Friday wedding. We had several meetings before our wedding and we knew exactly how things worked going into our big day. All our plans went perfectly and we had a wonderful day. The architecture was beautiful and there were great places for pictures. The gardens were lovely and there was plenty of parking. Overall, we are extremely happy with the folks at Rollins Mansion and we highly recommend them.

Rollins is an absolutely stunning venue! Our guests loved it and raved about it for weeks after our event. Since there are so many different spaces within the mansion, it is really perfect for customizing your event in whatever way you'd like it to flow. Beautiful venue! We hosted a large, outdoor wedding and it was a perfect location! The staff is professional, accommodating, and very good at communicating. The venue is difficult for parties with a large number of handicap attendees, though they do try to make accommodations. I would highly recommend!

Where to start! I planned my dream wedding and couldn’t of imagined it anywhere else but Rollins Mansion! It is seriously the most perfect venue there is! The Rollins Mansion is absolutely stunning! This weekend I had my wedding reception here and it was the most magical night! So unique and beautiful. Brianna, with Rollins, was great and made sure everything went so smooth. Delmonico, their in-house caterer is the best of the best!! The food is wonderful with huge portion sizes! I could not recommend Rollins Mansion and Delmonico catering enough to anyone looking to get married in Des Moines. Brianna was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process and always made me feel at ease. Rollins Mansion is even more beautiful in person than it is in the photos - our guests are still talking about how beautiful it was! If I had to do it all over again, I would choose Rollins Mansion again!

We cannot say enough about the staff at Rollins and this venue overall. Like many couples, we were faced with many decisions leading up to our COVID wedding, and Brianna was wonderful about laying out our options as well as being flexible with us as we decided if we would have our ceremony outside or inside. We really appreciated the safety guidelines provided and the adjustments made to help keep guests safe. We elected to have tents installed on the deck due to questionable weather in the days leading up to our wedding, and it turned out beautifully. This really is the perfect place to allow flexibility for outdoor and indoor ceremony/reception, and we were so glad to have those options available to us. All of this and the venue itself is an absolute gem - gorgeous and unique inside and out.

I can't say enough great things about this venue. It is a gorgeous space inside and outside. We had our wedding outdoors as well as the reception. The gardens are so beautiful and makes for great photos in any spot of the mansion. I think the most important note is the staff and the ease of planning your wedding. Brianna and her team were so great to work with. They have a ton of weddings and events in that space but you feel like you're the only one to get married there. We had no stress on the day of our wedding because of their great communication and support. Brianna is also just an awesome person in general. If you want a magical/beautiful/fun wedding Rollins Mansion is it.

Beautiful Venue! We were a postponed from May to August wedding (thank you Covid). And the venue was wonderful to work with in making that switch. We loved the option of being able to be outside, and make use of the inside space as well. Due to Covid and social distancing requirements they had precautions all set up, but were open to suggestions from us that also fit out wedding theme but kept everyone safe. Because its a being and beautiful building we were all able to spread out, and enjoy one another. My husband and I loved being able to explore the venue and grounds to find fun places for unique pictures!

Even though I had lived on the south side my whole life, I somehow had never stumbled upon this gem. I instantly fell in love--stunning architecture, great history, and so quaintly tucked into the trees. Breanna was an amazing help when it came to coordinating and helping us while we planned from out of state. The catered dinner tasting and group of pre-approved caterers made it so easy to select our favorites. This also made it super easy to get in touch with the bar and catering staff while we planned, since Rollins works so closely with so few vendors. The space was plenty for our 100 guests. Ample room to walk around during cocktail hour on the main floor, and downstairs felt cozy yet spacious enough for dinner and dancing. Pictures came out stunningly, and it was the most memorable night.

We were lucky enough to be the first wedding at Rollins Mansion this summer and I can't say enough about the professionalism, creativity and flexibility that Brianna and the entire Rollins team showed us while helping plan both our ceremony and reception during COVID-19. We fell in love with the venue immediately but with only four weeks to plan (our first venue had to cancel), I was concerned that we might not be able to pull off the event we had originally hoped for. I shouldn't have wasted one minute worrying...the entire team at Rollins was amazing and not only did we have the wedding day we dreamed of, it was beyond every expectation we had! The venue was gorgeous, Daniel, Steve, the bartenders and facility staff went above and beyond to take great care of us and our guests and Brianna worked tirelessly all day to ensure every detail was perfect. Hosting an event during a pandemic definitely presented a new set of challenges for the Rollins team but they managed it perfectly. I simply loved every minute and am so grateful that our first plans fell through because Rollins Mansion was amazing in every way!

My wife and I found this venue to be wonderful for our wedding of approximately 125 guests We were looking for a couple of different things in a venue. We were looking for a place that would accommodate us outside if possible but the accommodating and visually appealing on the inside if necessary. As our wedding was mid October in Des Moines, we knew anything could happen. Rollins accomplishes both exceeding well. As it was, the temperature was in the mid 50s but sunny. We were able to have the ceremony, rather short, outside in their rectangular courtyard where the sun was out and the space was protected from the breeze. A bright red cardinal landed on a branch near the officiant and stayed there during the entire ceremony until the clapping at the end. (Apparently, no extra charge for this) For a little reception prior to brunch, we used their lovely south room for champagne and charcuterie. We then went to their larger dining area for brunch. Comfortable to be outside for the ceremony but too cool for the events afterwards. One of the things that we really valued in this venue is the fact that the staff make “The trains run on time.“ Brianna who is the manager of the Rollins Mansion is very detail oriented and makes sure that everything is in place and on time. Daniel, the head of Delmonico, the resident cater for this space, developed and served wonderful food exactly as we specified.

We got married in May at Rollins and could not have imagined a better place to have our wedding. We knew we loved it from the moment we saw it and the staff was nothing but helpful as we went through the planning process. Brianna was particularly helpful. She made sure everything ran smoothly on her end and worked well with our coordinator and other vendors to makes sure everything was the way we wanted, even with some last minute weather changes. The onsite caterer Delmonico was great to work with and our food was absolutely delicious, everyone was raving about it. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone and would do it all over again if we had to choose!

I rarely leave reviews, but I want to make sure that the public is aware of how awesome this place is!! Our daughter got married on April 27th and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place for her to get married. EVERYONE at the wedding RAVED about how awesome EVERYTHING was from the DECOR, to the BEAUTY, and ELEGANT DETAILS of the venue , the FANTASTIC ACOMODATING STAFF (even when we changed something on the fly), they were SOOO patient. The food was catered by one of their preferred caterers (Delmonico). Everyone treated us like family and hats off to the amazing staff of both the Rollins Mansion and Delmonico. A BIG THANK YOU to Breanna, Daniel, John, Olivia and Steve (in alphabetical order) they were the STAND OUTS amongst all the wonderful staff. I recently got married at the Rollins Mansion(5-18-19) and it was the best experience I could ask for. I did not have to worry about a single thing that day, Brianna and the entire Rollins staff were kind and on top of things. Brianna made sure to check in and made sure everything ran smooth. Everything was set up exactly as we had talked about in our consultations and if something was not quite right everyone was sure to get it corrected quickly. The entire planning process was also a breeze. Brianna was so easy to work with and replied to emails in a timely manner and answered any questions I had. We also had DelMonico, the in-house caterer, for our meal. Everything was delicious, the staff was amazing and attentive, and Daniel was awesome in making my gravy fountain dreams come true and even making sure I got to enjoy it. He also listened to everything we wanted and worked with us every step of the way. I felt like royalty at the mansion and did not have to lift a finger. Anyone getting married should definitely consider this venue. It will save so much stress and you will be taken care of. Thank you Daniel, Brianna, and the entire Rollins and DelMonico staff for making my wedding dreams come true and the best day I could ever ask for.

We booked the Rollins mansion for a Friday night family event (bar mitzvah) with about 40 people. The room was gorgeous and could have accommodated closer to 60. Our guests loved the venue, which is easily accessible from the airport or downtown Des Moines hotels. The staff were easy to deal with, and you are not locked into one caterer.

The venue itself is beautiful, romantic, and enchanting. The service was outstanding! Everyone we met with went out of their way to accommodate our requests and make our day special. They made the whole planning process really simple and everything turned out beautiful. The food from Delmonico was fabulous! Rollins Mansion was the very first wedding venue we looked at, and nothing else compared after seeing how beautiful it was! We had a December wedding, and all the Christmas decorations they had set up saved us time with decorating and fit in so perfectly with our other decor. Brianna was great to work with and was always quick to answer any questions we had. We chose the in-house catering option of Delmonico which was one of the best choices we made! Daniel and his staff were amazing and our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was! Because we chose Delmonico, our linens and china were included which was perfect! Due to our winter wedding, all of our festivities were indoors, but we braved the cold to take some stunning pictures outside. The mansion has so many rooms to utilize, and our guests had a blast exploring throughout the day. Our day was absolutely perfect, and we couldn't be happier with choosing Rollins Mansion as our venue.

We were married at Rollins Mansion in November. The mansion and gardens are beautiful, and the staff are excellent to work with! Rollins does all set up/tear down of tables and chairs, which was crucial since it ended up pouring down rain almost the entire wedding day! We had originally planned to have the ceremony outdoors, but Rollins was very accommodating and helped us find a beautiful setup inside due to the weather. It was wonderful to be able to have our entire wedding day at one place from getting ready in the cottage and den, to having the ceremony and reception in the mansion! Our guests had fun exploring the mansion, and we received many, many compliments on the venue choice!

The day of couldn't have gone more smoothly, and that is mostly due in part to Daniel & his staff at Delmonico catering, and Melissa's work beforehand with all the other arrangements. The food was delicious, and the brandy old-fashions we had the bartenders make for cocktail hour were divine! You truly do not need any decorations here - the mansion is stunning as is. Rollins Mansion was a stunning venue for my August 2018 wedding. The outdoor space is absolutely beautiful for your ceremony along with reception. Loved being able to utilize the indoor area for cocktail hour to allow my guests to see more of the mansion. My only negative is that the Rollins Mansion staff really has nothing to do with helping, it seems as if they only want to collect your money and the rest is up to the staff at Delmonico(in house catering staff) When asked if they had any verbiage regarding the history of the mansion, I was told no. I am very thankful for Melissa and her staff they delivered and amazing meal, my guest still talk about it. Not to mention Melissa is so helpful with how the flow of the ceremony, she really is top notch and pays attention to details. Thank you for all your help. We fell in love with this place as soon as we saw it. We looked at a couple other locations in Des Moines but nothing captured our hearts like Rollins Mansion did. And it did not disappoint. We were able to participate in two catered dinners for their in house caterer (since we both were not able to go to one together). They were very helpful with telling us different vendors they recommended to use. Leading up to the event, they made sure all of our concerns and questions were taken care of. The day of was absolutely perfect. I would 100% do it over if I could and would not have changed a thing. :)

When searching for a venue, there is simply no competition around Des Moines in this price range. The mansion itself is beautifully historic, with plenty of space inside and out. However, when choosing a venue, it is difficult to gauge how well it is run and how accommodating the staff will be on your big day. The friendly, detail-oriented staff at Rollins and Delmonico will prove their worth to you as they go above and beyond your every need. This was one of the most surprising things from our wedding day. We were truly blown away with the service we received and felt it was worth every penny! The ceremony was set to take place outdoors, but mother nature decided not to cooperate 30 minutes before our ceremony was set to start. Without any hesitation, the staff moved the entire setup inside quickly and efficiently on a moments notice. We didn't even have time to stress! This is exactly the kind of service you should be looking for in a wedding venue. Another great perk is that many hotels nearby are willing to shuttle guests to and from the mansion (before midnight) with it being already close to the airport. This is a first class operation. We highly recommend Rollins to anyone looking to get married in the Des Moines area!

The staff goes above and beyond to help you in any way they can. They let you be as involved or not as you want. We can’t recommend them enough. Anyone complaining about their lack of communication or lack of help from staff is being unreasonable.

Words can not begin to describe how thankful I am/was for the staff at the Rollins Mansion. Melissa, Daniel, and Brianna worked around the clock to make our special day amazing! Melissa's knowledge when it comes to wedding planning, time restraints, attention to detail and different ideas for what works best is invaluable. All my communications went through her and everything was responded back to in a timely manner. Now the food.... AMAZING, Daniel knows exactly what he is doing when it comes to food and drinks!!!! It speaks great volume when it comes time for your guest to eat and all you hear is the background music, because people are enjoying their meals so much! What was even better is their cater holds a taste testing event, so you get to sample everything before hand and decide on how you want to build your menu. The Rollins Mansion itself is so beautiful, you don't have to worry about decorating at all. The Bridal Suite were the women get ready was perfect and had champagne for mimosas all ready to go! All in all I couldn't imagined my special day without the staff from the Rollins Mansion. THANK YOU!

The venue is absolutely gorgeous and I did not find anything that compared to Rollins in our wide search for venues. Our pictures are stunning and our guests had so many compliments about our wedding. The staff the day of were also fantastic. However, I was disappointed with the lack of communication from Rollins Mansion once we signed our contract. I was expecting someone to reach out to us to help guide us a bit, but you will definitely have to do the legwork yourself and hunt down people for answers to get things done. Melissa from Delmonico was very sweet, but it was confusing that she was also the point person for Rollins as a whole. It would have been nice to be told from the get go who we should contact with our questions, as I often was not sure who was supposed to be helping us. Melissa seemed stretched thin by all her responsibilities, evidenced by slow response time or forgetting to respond to emails, and I honestly was never contacted by anyone else who works for the mansion in the 1 year we were planning our wedding except for notifications that we needed to pay. This made the experience feel a bit transactional. I understand that Rollins is not supposed to be a wedding planner for you, but some more initiative on their end and reaching out to us to see what we needed would have been appreciated. My suggestion would be after couples sign the contract, to send a nice follow-up email letting them know who their point-person will be and sending periodic check-in emails to help couples feel more welcomed.

Though a gorgeous venue, unfortunately, my husband and I did not have a pleasant experience with Rollins. This was mostly due to the lack of communication, poor planning, and not listening to our vision. Long story short – if having a vision and care about the small details, do NOT work with Rollins. If you do work with Rollins, do not work with Delmonico Catering – I literally have not one nice thing to say about that catering business. I believe they only work with Rollins. Their point of contact became over the overall point of contact for Rollins and Delmonico and it put quite a damper on our planning and the day of due to her lack of communication, going back on her word, overall attitude, and even stealing some of our items. The venue is truly gorgeous though, and our pictures are great. If you do use Rollins, read your contract very carefully.

The staff working the event are PHENOMENAL and so accommodating. However, Briana and Melissa were rude, horrible to communicate with and made no efforts to accommodate to anything.

This venue, was amazing. My husband and I got married here on June 17th (2018) and the mansion was so helpful in our planning. They were very flexible with information and meetings in the planning stages, and maintained contact with us the whole time. Melissa is incredibly helpful, and has hosted many weddings at the mansion. She knows what to do in just about any crisis situation. The best feature of the mansion, beside how beautiful it is, is that on your wedding day the staff takes care of everything. Set-up, tear-down, directing guests, keeping things on schedule, everything. We had a fantastic day thanks to the staff of the Rollins Mansion, I'd highly recommend anyone to use this venue for their wedding.

My husband and I got married on June 16, 2018. We chose Rollins Mansion in December 2016 because it is so beautiful and has its own catering service. The first date that we wanted in 2018 was not available, so you want to book here early if you want to reserve your date! The Rollins staff (namely Daniel and Melissa) worked with us to perfect our schedule of events on the day of, make our menu fit my dietary needs, and ensure that we knew all of the costs up front. While it is pricier to have the ceremony indoors, our wedding day ended up being 96 degrees, so I would recommend booking your ceremony inside from the start if you have a smaller guest list . The ballroom that we got married in is stunning. Everything from the ceremony to the reception ran like clockwork, and the food was delicious! People talked about the garlic mashed potatoes for days! I didn't have to lift a finger all night. I would recommend this beautiful venue for both the ceremony and reception to anyone who wants an elegant, accommodating, and professional experience. I can't say enough good things about Rollins.

From the very moment we began the wedding planning, my husband and I knew we wanted to get married at the stunning mansion! There is so much beauty and character here. The staff was very accommodating and easy to work with. The in- house catering Delmonico, led by Daniel Grimes, is phenomenal! We can't thank them enough for helping us have a perfect wedding!
