We had our wedding here November 1st and it was STUNNING. We loved working with Brianna and Jackie. They were always quick to respond to us and were very hands on in helping us with anything we needed. Our day turned out perfect. It is a very unique venue that allowed us to do minimal decor since the mansion spoke for itself! The food was amazing and our guests had a wonderful time during cocktail hour with a scavenger hunt provided by the mansion. The staff was very efficient and our guests loved the bartenders! We had the in house catering - Artisanal Food Company - and the hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and the plated meal during dinner where delicious. We planned for a garden ceremony but due to weather had to move it inside to the ballroom last minute which turned out beautiful.

While it is one of the more reasonably priced high end feeling venues in Des Moines, know that there are other fees involved with the day depending on where around the mansion you want to hold your events. That was really the only thing we didn't expect going in. This could probably be said of any venue in the metro, though. Just wanted to make the call out.
Their in house catering (Artisanal) is AMAZING and we are huge foodies. We have been to multiple dinners they offer to the public over the last 1.5 years to "taste test" the catering to make sure it was the right fit for our special day. Every meal we've had there is incredible. Our wedding guests are still ranting and raving about how the braised beef short ribs were the "best meal they've ever had".
Would 10/10 recommend Rollins for your wedding venue if you love character, unique experiences, and the flexibility to have cool events indoor and out.

Rollins had our backs and made the transition inside with ease. While we didn’t get the beautiful views of downtown during dinner, we were able to use their beautiful ballroom on the lower level, a truly elegant room.
I would be remiss to not mention the food! From appetizers through main course, the food could not have been better. With their guidance, we choose the perfect combinations! The ribeye steaks were probably the best I’ve ever had! Everyone was raving about them!

The architecture of the building brings so many candid photo opportunities as well as interesting conversations for guests. Its natural beauty needs little decor meaning budget can be spent on other things. And The near labyrinth like floor plan is sometimes mesmerizing but also intriguing, leaving guests to wander and engulf themselves in their natural curiosity.
The staff of the venue are professional, clean, very easy to work with, incredibly helpful. The food was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing even on a bright, sunny day. The butlers were always near and were very quick with delivering food and cleaning tables. The bartender was super approachable and was quick to get drinks to counter. And the vendor coordinators Jacky and Brianna were so pleasant to talk to. They responded in a very timely manner, asked the important questions, and were incredible to work with.
All in all, if I was asked to give anyone any advice, it would be to choose this venue. There wasn’t a single thing about our day their that I couldn’t call perfect.

We really appreciated the safety guidelines provided and the adjustments made to help keep guests safe. We elected to have tents installed on the deck due to questionable weather in the days leading up to our wedding, and it turned out beautifully. This really is the perfect place to allow flexibility for outdoor and indoor ceremony/reception, and we were so glad to have those options available to us. All of this and the venue itself is an absolute gem - gorgeous and unique inside and out.

They have a ton of weddings and events in that space but you feel like you're the only one to get married there. tucked into the trees. Breanna was an amazing help when it came to coordinating and helping us while we planned from out of state. The catered dinner tasting and group of pre-approved caterers made it so easy to select our favorites. This also made it super easy to get in touch with the bar and catering staff while we planned, since Rollins works so closely with so few vendors.
The space was plenty for our 100 guests. Ample room to walk around during cocktail hour on the main floor, and downstairs felt cozy yet spacious enough for dinner and dancing. Pictures came out stunningly, and it was the most memorable night.

Rollins team showed us while helping plan both our ceremony and reception during COVID-19.
We fell in love with the venue immediately but with only four weeks to plan (our first venue had to cancel), I was concerned that we might not be able to pull off the event we had originally hoped for. I shouldn't have wasted one minute worrying...the entire team at Rollins was amazing and not only did we have the wedding day we dreamed of, it was beyond every expectation we had! The venue was gorgeous, Daniel, Steve, the bartenders and facility staff went above and beyond to take great care of us and our guests and Brianna worked tirelessly all day to ensure every detail was perfect.
Hosting an event during a pandemic definitely presented a new set of challenges for the Rollins team but they managed it perfectly. I simply loved every minute and am so grateful that our first plans fell through because Rollins Mansion was amazing in every way!

lace that would accommodate us outside if possible but the accommodating and visually appealing on the inside if necessary.
As our wedding was mid October in Des Moines, we knew anything could happen.
Rollins accomplishes both exceeding well.
As it was, the temperature was in the mid 50s but sunny. We were able to have the ceremony, rather short, outside in their rectangular courtyard where the sun was out and the space was protected from the breeze. A bright red cardinal landed on a branch near the officiant and stayed there during the entire ceremony until the clapping at the end. (Apparently, no extra charge for this)
For a little reception prior to brunch, we used their lovely south room for champagne and charcuterie.
We then went to their larger dining area for brunch.
Comfortable to be outside for the ceremony but too cool for the events afterwards.
One of the things that we really valued in this venue is the fact that the staff make “The trains run on time.“
Brianna who is the manager of the Rollins Mansion is very detail oriented and makes sure that everything is in place and on time. Daniel, the head of Delmonico, the resident cater for this space, developed and served wonderful food exactly as we specified.

Rollins staff were kind and on top of things. Brianna made sure to check in and made sure everything ran smooth. Everything was set up exactly as we had talked about in our consultations and if something was not quite right everyone was sure to get it corrected quickly. The entire planning process was also a breeze. Brianna was so easy to work with and replied to emails in a timely manner and answered any questions I had. We also had DelMonico, the in-house caterer, for our meal. Everything was delicious, the staff was amazing and attentive, and Daniel was awesome in making my gravy fountain dreams come true and even making sure I got to enjoy it. He also listened to everything we wanted and worked with us every step of the way. I felt like royalty at the mansion and did not have to lift a finger. Anyone getting married should definitely consider this venue. It will save so much stress and you will be taken care of. Thank you Daniel, Brianna, and the entire Rollins and DelMonico staff for making my wedding dreams come true and the best day I could ever ask for.

ions they had set up saved us time with decorating and fit in so perfectly with our other decor. Brianna was great to work with and was always quick to answer any questions we had. We chose the in-house catering option of Delmonico which was one of the best choices we made! Daniel and his staff were amazing and our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was! Because we chose Delmonico, our linens and china were included which was perfect! Due to our winter wedding, all of our festivities were indoors, but we braved the cold to take some stunning pictures outside. The mansion has so many rooms to utilize, and our guests had a blast exploring throughout the day. Our day was absolutely perfect, and we couldn't be happier with choosing Rollins Mansion as our venue.

irs, which was crucial since it ended up pouring down rain almost the entire wedding day! We had originally planned to have the ceremony outdoors, but Rollins was very accommodating and helped us find a beautiful setup inside due to the weather. It was wonderful to be able to have our entire wedding day at one place from getting ready in the cottage and den, to having the ceremony and reception in the mansion! Our guests had fun exploring the mansion, and we received many, many compliments on the venue choice!

staff at Delmonico catering, and Melissa's work beforehand with all the other arrangements. The food was delicious, and the brandy old-fashions we had the bartenders make for cocktail hour were divine!
You truly do not need any decorations here - the mansion is stunning as is. We can't thank the Rollins team enough!
