A few vendors told me they got excited when they saw the Rolln Pin vans pull up outside the venue, because RP is their favorite caterer... and they've eaten a lot of wedding food! Mike is well known among the wedding planning industry in Sioux Falls, and my wedding coordinator and venue had no issues coordinating with him before the wedding. Not a single guest had a single complaint about the meal, everyone was raving about how delicious everything was from the salad to the main entrees.
Mike took the time to check in with us during the meal several times, even presenting us with a signature Rolln Pin gift, which took us by surprise. His staff was very attentive and cordial. The pricing is fair and a great value for the quality and quantity of food you can receive.
Mike was on top of all the details leading up to the wedding, the taste test and menu selection process could not have been easier. Mike and Rolln Pin made for an extremely stress-free day for this bride and I could not be happier with the service and meal we received. My only disappointment: no leftovers, haha! We had a buffet style meal and they were able to get 220 people through the line quickly and efficiently. The servers were professional and attentive to our guest’s needs. The Roll’n Pin was well prepared for the event and no guest was left wanting or needing anything. We received tons of compliments from our guests about how DELICIOUS the food was! My then-fiance contacted them about getting food and drinks for our wedding. He said they were nice over the phone and worked with our budget. However, they never told him what the payment options were and when they got to my in-laws' house for...
the reception, they were rude and asked for money up front. My in-laws and friends who were there were turned off by that. When my husband and I returned the supplies they lent us for the catering, we talked to the catering manager and he half-heartedly apologized and blamed us and the people there for not being organized enough and kept repeating that "it was a mess" and that we should have planned better. Then he blamed my husband for not asking about payment options over the phone beforehand and refused to take responsibility over the discrepancy. Their food was good, and if you can deal with this rude restaurant for the sake of good food, then go for it. But I'm never giving them my money again. Bad service can taint good food.

ent) as long as your husband would have a check ready for us when we arrived -- but neither the check nor your husband were there, he said he "forgot" and would there shortly. While waiting for you to arrive, we attempted to set up...but no one knew where we should set up or what was going on. One of your guests *yelled* at our catering staff and told us we had to wait for you to arrive before setting up...
We really did go out of our way to assist your many large requests and small budget; we've probably never offered more for less! Ultimately, the payment to which your husband agreed, yet fell behind on and we accommodated was required before we could provide catering services. We suggest you have a chat with your husband on these arrangements. Best wishes on your future endeavours...
