I cannot recommend RTG enough! The first introduction call we had, I knew they were going to be amazing. From answering a million questions (from both myself and my guests). To helping us pick the best resort for us, to getting a great deal for our guests, we would be LOST without them! They sent emails to make sure everyone submitted all information on time and made sure everyone was crystal clear with instructions. The booking to and from the airport is a big bonus! A lot of my guests have never left the country and the ease of having someone waiting for you booked by RTG could not be more of a life saver. I would recommend RTG over and over.

Really great staff! Honestly was incredibly responsive and as the bride took an immense weight off our shoulders helping all 67 of our guests and their travel accommodations! We did notice while down for the wedding that our website was taken down. Our domain name no longer existed. That was really a bummer as we wanted that as a “keepsake” memory. When we asked about that it was brushed over. So we still don’t have that. Not the biggest deal in the world but still something we didn’t expect, especially the week of the actual wedding. The website does need updating, as it’s pretty dated and we did have to create a Zola website as well because the website was not easy to navigate and we couldn’t update it / design it the way we wanted. Nevertheless, the customer service itself, I can’t rave about enough! Thank you Heather and Abby! You two really helped our journey to the best day of our lives!

RTG were exceptional! They made planning and executing our wedding so much easier and fun than others we have heard about. They were so quick to answer any questions from us or our guest and made the booking for all super easy! All of the resorts we had to choose from were beautiful and they were very transparent in the benefits each one had versus others. Heather and Abby were extremely helpful in setting up our website, helping to coordinated shuttles to and from the airport for us and our guest and getting us into contact with staff and the wedding coordinator at the resort. We decided to use Romance Travel Group for our Mexico destination wedding based on their positive reviews on wedding wire. Our experience with them was excellent, they helped us choose the resort to have the wedding at with an easy PowerPoint of pros and cons and general room pricing. It made selecting the resort and extremely easy! Once we selected the resort booking and payments were easy for us and for our guests, Abby and Heather were very quick to respond and helpful along the way! They also help connect you with the hotels wedding team and get the pricing for that portion. I even had issues with the resort wedding planner responding at one point and Abby helped reach out to her for me. Would definitely recommend using Romance Travel Group if planning a destination wedding! They made it a stress free process and exceeded my expectations. It’s so much easier to have a team help you select and plan, with the number of resorts in Mexico.

Abby took the time to understand our wishes for our wedding & found us an amazing list of resorts to choose from that benefited both us and our wedding vision & the budget needs of our guests. They put us into contact with the resort and it has been smooth sailing since! Heather was always available to send us updated rooming/guest lists. Our guests reported the ease of visiting our wedding website to book & the email reminders for payments were informative and kept my guests on track. They even put us into contact with a fabulous content creator. The special touches of tote beach bags and personalized cups are so thoughtful! We cannot wait for our loved ones to join us in Mexico! Can’t recommend Romance Travel Group enough.

All our guests were very happy with their interactions with Romance Travel them. We received a lot of compliments from our guests about their experience with the Romance Travel group team. They are very polite and have great customer service skills. It was great to get a recap of the potential resort options as well from the Romance Travel group. Looking at all the resort options ourselves was overwhelming. They did a great job of getting feedback on what we wanted and coming back with a smaller list of options for us to choose from. However, their business model seems flawed. When booking a wedding, it needs to be booked out a lot further in advance than a typical tropical vacation. That means, there has been no need for the hotels to start their discounting process. They claim that they will be giving you the best available price. What this means is that you will receive a small discount from what is currently on the resort’s website. A year out, that will be a very high price. For us, we were about 6 months out. We faced repeated comments about how we needed to book now, or the prices could go up. They pressured us into booking to lock these “great prices.” Three weeks after we locked in our prices, the hotel discounted their rooms significantly. This meant that the 20+ people who had booked with us spent up to thousands of dollars more than if they would have booked directly with the hotel. After calling Romance Travel to discuss how our guests can receive the newer lower price, we were told that we would likely face a $4,500 penalty fee because the contract states, that requires a $100 change fee for the 45 rooms we had reserved for our guests. We were aware of this verbiage in the contract but told it almost never happens. They would not specifically explain why this fee was necessary or to who or where this money was going. After expressing to the Romance Travel group the fact that we had locked in our prices less than a month ago and that this was extremely unfair, we were then told that they negotiated us a great deal and we would only have to pay $1,800 to get all our guests a fair price for their rooms. After further discussion, they then changed the number to $1,300 for the 13 rooms that had been booked. We reluctantly paid the fee so that our guests could receive their rooms for a more appropriate price. Some of our guests decided to book through cheaper options. We also decided to book private transportation. We were initially informed that the private transportation would be $450 for three guests. After a quick search, we provided Romance Travel with numerous private transportation options for $120-$150. We were then told that they pushed back on the transportation company, and we could reserve the private transportation for $220. We informed Romance Travel we would book our private transportation ourselves due to their prices and then we were told that there was an error and that it would in fact only cost $30 for private transportation for all three of us. Overall, we enjoyed the guidance Romance Travel provided with narrowing down our search to find a resort and the communication with our guests. However, their inability to match pricing for a wedding group without taking excessive fees is very concerning. They were unable to explain where this money was going and with the price changing multiple times it seems like a way for them to collect extra money.

Shelli and Heather handled nearly EVERYTHING from start to finish for our destination wedding with 50 guests - not to mention the quick turnaround of just 8 months. The communication was so quick! They take care of everything, even your wedding website and all guest communication!

Partnering with Romance Travel Group was the best decision we made when planning our destination wedding! I researched many options for destination wedding travel advisors and they stood out as the obvious choice. I worked closely with Abby and Shannon, who were professional from start to finish. I already had a resort in mind for our wedding, I just really needed support with booking the room block and organizing my guests (we invited 75 people - a bit larger than the average destination wedding). The ladies were receptive to me already having a location in mind, which I appreciated since I assumed they have preferred resorts to recommend to clients. Shannon communicated directly with my guests and provided clear information, even FAQ about Cancun and recommendations for packing, practices, and more. They paired us with Lomas for ground transport to/from the airport, which was incredibly smooth. RTG really made it their mission to take as much stress as possible off our shoulders in terms of planning and saving $. The team always responded in a timely manner and was happy to answer my many many questions. I would highly recommend their services to anyone having a Caribbean destination wedding!

When deciding to do a destination wedding, we started doing some research and The Romance Travel Group of Shelli, Heather and the entire team caught our eye. And they were very good at reminding our guests to book or to submit their flight info, etc. The booking process seemed very smooth for everyone and we didn’t have any issues on arrival to the resort. They also set up everyone’s transportation to & from the airport which was really helpful and worked out great. I’m very happy we worked with them during our wedding process.
