Romance travel group has been amazing since the start! From our first meeting with Abby, we felt super comfortable with this team helping us bring our loved ones to Mexico. Abby took the time to understand our wishes for our wedding & found us an amazing list of resorts to choose from that benefited both us and our wedding vision & the budget needs of our guests. They put us into contact with the resort and it has been smooth sailing since! Heather was always available to send us updated rooming/guest lists. Our guests reported the ease of visiting our wedding website to book & the email reminders for payments were informative and kept my guests on track. They even put us into contact with a fabulous content creator. The special touches of tote beach bags and personalized cups are so thoughtful! We cannot wait for our loved ones to join us in Mexico! Can’t recommend Romance Travel Group enough.
All our guests were very happy with their interactions with Romance Travel them. We received a lot of compliments from our guests about their experience with the Romance Travel group team. They are very polite and have great customer service skills.
It was great to get a recap of the potential resort options as well from the Romance Travel group. Looking at all the resort options ourselves was overwhelming. They did a great job of getting feedback on what we wanted and coming back with a smaller list of options for us to choose from.
However, their business model seems flawed. When booking a wedding, it needs to be booked out a lot further in advance than a typical tropical vacation. That means, there has been no need for the hotels to start their discounting process. They claim that they will be giving you the best available price. What this means is that you will receive a small discount from what is currently on the resort’s website. A year out, that will be a very high price. For us, we were about 6 months out. We faced repeated comments about how we needed to book now, or the prices could go up. They pressured us into booking to lock these “great prices.” Three weeks after we locked in our prices, the hotel discounted their rooms significantly. This meant that the 20+ people who had booked with us spent up to thousands of dollars more than if they would have booked directly with the hotel.
After calling Romance Travel to discuss how our guests can receive the newer lower price, we were told that we would likely face a $4,500 penalty fee because the contract states, that requires a $100 change fee for the 45 rooms we had reserved for our guests. We were aware of this verbiage in the contract but told it almost never happens. They would not specifically explain why this fee was necessary or to who or where this money was going.
After expressing to the Romance Travel group the fact that we had locked in our prices less than a month ago and that this was extremely unfair, we were then told that they negotiated us a great deal and we would only have to pay $1,800 to get all our guests a fair price for their rooms. After further discussion, they then changed the number to $1,300 for the 13 rooms that had been booked. We reluctantly paid the fee so that our guests could receive their rooms for a more appropriate price. Some of our guests decided to book through cheaper options.
We also decided to book private transportation. We were initially informed that the private transportation would be $450 for three guests. After a quick search, we provided Romance Travel with numerous private transportation options for $120-$150. We were then told that they pushed back on the transportation company, and we could reserve the private transportation for $220. We informed Romance Travel we would book our private transportation ourselves due to their prices and then we were told that there was an error and that it would in fact only cost $30 for private transportation for all three of us.
Overall, we enjoyed the guidance Romance Travel provided with narrowing down our search to find a resort and the communication with our guests. However, their inability to match pricing for a wedding group without taking excessive fees is very concerning. They were unable to explain where this money was going and with the price changing multiple times it seems like a way for them to collect extra money.
Shelli and Heather handled nearly EVERYTHING from start to finish for our destination wedding with 50 guests - not to mention the quick turnaround of just 8 months. The communication was so quick! They take care of everything, even your wedding website and all guest communication!
Partnering with Romance Travel Group was the best decision we made when planning our destination wedding! I researched many options for destination wedding travel advisors and they stood out as the obvious choice. I worked closely with Abby and Shannon, who were professional from start to finish. I already had a resort in mind for our wedding, I just really needed support with booking the room block and organizing my guests (we invited 75 people - a bit larger than the average destination wedding). The ladies were receptive to me already having a location in mind, which I appreciated since I assumed they have preferred resorts to recommend to clients. Shannon communicated directly with my guests and provided clear information, even FAQ about Cancun and recommendations for packing, practices, and more. They paired us with Lomas for ground transport to/from the airport, which was incredibly smooth. RTG really made it their mission to take as much stress as possible off our shoulders in terms of planning and saving $. The team always responded in a timely manner and was happy to answer my many many questions. I would highly recommend their services to anyone having a Caribbean destination wedding!

My name is Cameron Bronski and my wife Sarah and I recently got married at the most beautiful resort in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. When deciding to do a destination wedding, we started doing some research and The Romance Travel Group of Shelli, Heather and the entire team caught our eye. Thankfully we reached out to them immediately, and sure enough they got back to us with an immediate response to schedule a call. We had a very thorough call about some or our expectations and what we wanted, and within a week they had a list of 8 resorts for us to choose from. We quickly narrowed it down to the one we wanted, and the rest was history. They handled everything from the room blocking, travel to and from the airport to the resort, played a huge role in working with the actual wedding planner on site of the resort, and I could not recommend them more. They truly care about their clients, and make the destination wedding process as seamless as possible.
We got married at Secrets Moxche in November 2023 and just WOW!! When we made the decision to have a destination wedding we were overwhelmed. We got in touch with Shelli at Romance Travel who listened to our vision and narrowed it down to a few resorts that she thought would work and she nailed it! Romance Travel Group was amazing. We found them just by searching google and were so impressed with their service. Heather and Shelli provided 1-on-1 service and were always available to answer questions. They helped us select a perfect resort based on pricing and desired amenities. They took excellent care of our guests with helping them book accommodations, coordinate travel, and even had VIP transportation waiting for us and our guests on arrival. Super impressed with the service and would highly recommend.

I would definitely recommend using Romance Travel Group. We had them help coordinate our wedding with the resort we chose which was Dreams Riviera Cancun. The communication with us and with our guests was really great. They were always super fast at responding to emails and answering any questions. And they were very good at reminding our guests to book or to submit their flight info, etc. The booking process seemed very smooth for everyone and we didn’t have any issues on arrival to the resort. They also set up everyone’s transportation to & from the airport which was really helpful and worked out great. I’m very happy we worked with them during our wedding process.

I was pretty nervous about planning a wedding and while we really wanted to do a destination wedding, it made me extra nervous! RTG though seriously made everything incredibly easy. My fiancé (now wife!) works as a resident and honestly had very little time to plan our December wedding at Dreams Riviera Maya in Mexico. Romance travel group help with planning my destination wedding at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres on 11/6/22. The process was very easy, Shelli and team gave us the most beautiful options for resorts within our budget. Everything was laid out for us from price per room/guest, to location, to wedding perks. All the information was helpful in allowing us to make the most informed decision we could without ever seeing any of the reports in person. They handled the wedding website and provided support in making sure all our gets were booked vetting any and all questions they had. Throughout the process RTG had a couple of surprises that made the whole experience that much more personalized. Overall they were a pivotal part of making my destination wedding dream come true.

Upon check in, more than half of our guests recieved upgraded rooms because of Romance Travel Groups relationship with the resort. We always talked about a destination wedding and knew once we were engaged that it was the only way we wanted to get married. We found RTG by searching travel wedding destinations. From the very beginning, Shelli was so kind and welcoming and really made us feel like she wanted the best wedding for us. We even asked for more hotel options that were family friendly and there was no hesitation. Abigail became our main coordinator, created a wedding page for us and did a phenomenal job keeping every guest and a determined bride in the know. What really stood out was all of the details right before our trip, I was not expecting so much coordination but it was SO appreciated! The vendor they used for our airport transportation was awesome and being surprised with gift bags for each traveler was above and beyond we felt! I loved talking on the phone with Shelli once we arrived it was such a special treat! We immediately started recommending them to our guests and friends who might want a destination vow renewal or honeymoons! I am so glad that we chose them and we will be back for our vow renewal for sure!!!

What can I say?! My now husband, Patrick, and I got married July 2022 in Punta Cana. We were researching travel agencies for destination weddings online and stumbled upon Travel Romance back in December 2019..let’s just say the rest is history! Shelli, Heather, and the rest of the team have been so helpful with booking our guests’ room. My guests raved about how organized and thorough they were throughout the entire process. My hats off to them! They are so wonderful with all they have done and would 10/10 recommend to anyone who wants to get married at an all-inclusive resort! :)

I cannot recommend Romance Travel Group enough. We decided to have a destination wedding earlier this year and we were recommended Romance Travel Group. They were very quick to respond and set up a meeting almost immediately. They walked us through the process and were very thorough. It was a breath of fresh air, as we had already started the process with another travel agent and were not having a great experience. They took the stress out of planning and made sure all of our guests were taken care of. The website was also a great feature that took stress off our lives. Our wedding was 8/7/22 in Punta Cana.

All communication was really prompt. There was no way we could’ve made this happen without them.

My husband and I were married May/2022 at Dreams Las Mareas in Costa Rica. We used Abby at the Romance Travel Group as our agent. We came to her after already securing a resort and date but we needed assistance with group bookings. Not only did she take care of our room block, our airport transfers and our guests questions, but she got us a cocktail hour prior to our rehearsal dinner. She was absolutely fabulous and I have no regrets choosing RTG to be a resource during our destination wedding.

I am so glad I came across Romance Travel Group! Other travel agents were slow to respond and as soon as we talked to RTG, and told them what we wanted, they sent us a list of resorts, we picked a resort and booked it late 2020 getting a very good deal. We originally booked for 7 nights and easily had them add on two extra nights for us.
They helped us and our 26 guests get booked and made sure everyone knew all the information/requirements they needed to get to Jamaica! Any questions any of us had they answered quickly and friendly!
Our wedding day and week was awesome and everyone made it safely to and from!

We were referred to romance travel from a friend and boy are we glad we were! From start to finish their team was great, from helping us chose a destination, to setting up our room block and accommodations! Did I mention the fantastic website they built for us for no extra charge at all! They also included round trip airport transfers at the destination for all of our guests! The fact they only asked for a small deposit to start the planning for us for the amount of work that they did is in itself totally worth it (by the way it is refunded to you as soon as you fly out to your wedding) Crazy Right! So ya use them you wont regret it!

I had a destination wedding during a global pandemic! Lisa was the epitome of professionalism. I am a person who asks a lot of questions and she was happy to answer all 1 million of my questions. She kept us all updated on the constantly changing travel restrictions as well as helping through any hurdles. We knew from the beginning that postponing wasn't an option and Lisa stayed the course with us until the end. Even though we had to completely change resorts a few weeks away from the wedding Lisa was able to rebook everyone and we didn't have to stress about anything room-related. Also, Lisa booked us the most beautiful honeymoon.

It can be nerve wracking at times overwhelming to plan a destination wedding in a foreign country, but my husband and I knew we were in good hands after our very first call with Shelli! From the very beginning, she was able to very easily give us price quotes for different resorts and even set up site inspections for us. We ended up picking a resort that came highly recommended by her, and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out! Shelli herself had visited the resort many times so she was able to answer the numerous questions we came up with over the planning process. She set it up so our guests could make down payments and interest free payment plans towards the trip which was huge for everyone! From that point on, my fiancé and I had nothing to worry about! When we decided that we wanted to do a destination wedding, I had no idea how to even start the process. I did a quick google search and stumbled upon Lisa, from Romance Travel's, contact information. I reached out to her and a few other destination wedding travel agents with some general questions. After one phone call with Lisa, I could tell she really knowledgeable and had a lot of experience. She was accommodating and helped us work through any changes or potential problems. Throughout the whole wedding planning process she was probably the most responsive and best communicator that I worked with. From start to finish, Lisa took care of both us and our guests. A few of our guests actually called me about how impressed they were with Lisa, which says a lot about her as well.

I used Romance Travel to travel to a friend's wedding in Mexico. It was very easy to communicate with them and they took care of everything from the rooms to the shuttle (flights not included). It was nice to not worry about logistics and just enjoy my friends big day!

My husband and I decided to do a destination wedding. We felt stuck as to where to begin. How do you plan a wedding in another country when you can't fly there and look at where you would like it?
