Immediately after our initial call, I remember telling my fiancée that this is the person I want to move forward with for our ceremony. He was the only wedding vendor that I had zero doubts about starting from the first call all the way to the end. We picked Nico's signature package with 3 meetings which included one-on-one sessions with each of us. Working with him felt like I was talking with a good friend, super relaxing, easy and comfortable. He was also very professional and responsive throughout the whole process. You can tell that he truly cares about his couples and puts a great amount of effort into getting to know them individually and their story as a couple. You can chat with him for hours. He is good at leading the conversation and asking the right questions to get all the fun & romantic details out of your story. For our ceremony, he did a perfect blend of comedy & romance and delivered a beautiful ceremony filled with joy, energy and warmth. d just book Nico to officiate your wedding. We booked Nico after meeting (virtually) with four other officiants. Each more boring than the last. After burning through LA’s biggest ~officiant company~ my (now) wife and I were scared about our prospects, probably should’ve looked into this a bit earlier. The rabbi was really cool but like, we’re not Jewish so is that bad? We stumbled onto Nico’s website. RomCom weddings? Actually sounds perfect. We discovered he was a writer and he loves love. We watched his stuff, dang this dude is perfect. He’s gotta be booked. He wasn’t, so we booked the introductory zoom call. We spoke for about 15-20 minutes, and I knew Nico was the man right away, I could see my fiancé loved him too. We booked him and got along with the process. Nico has different package options, we opted for the one that includes 1 on 1 meetings for both the bride and groom, so he can get to know you each individually and hear your love story from both perspectives. You start with a meeting with all three of you. He asks really thoughtful and detailed questions, taking notes all the way on things to follow up on in the 1 on 1 meetings. I felt bad for chatting for so long… Nico is just so easy to talk to, you feel like you wanna hang out with him all day. We got to the individual meetings and initially I thought they’d be a little too long, what were we going to talk about? Nico led the conversation effortlessly, and brought out all the little details I hadn’t thought about in a long time. I felt myself falling in love with my fiancé all over again as I recounted our story, and told Nico exactly how perfect she is to me. We had another amazing chat, I just basically rambled on about our relationship hoping that he’d be able to pull something usable out of my incoherency. Boy did he. Nico offered to read through our vows, which I highly recommend to everyone getting married, because you avoid that thing that happens when the groom’s boy is the officiant, and everybody makes the same joke in every speech. He didn’t spoil the ceremony, but offered some feedback on what details to add and what you could skip. Wedding day arrives, we love this dude at this point, fully trusting he’s going to kill it. And he killed it! I was so emotional all over again hearing him recount our love story, with all the little quotes and all the little details from both our perspectives, expertly combined into one cohesive story. Felt like a movie, I’m getting emotional thinking about it. And it was FUNNY too! This is like the, wipe-a-tear-and-laugh-out-loud-with-all-your-loved-ones-wedding you’ve been dreaming of. This is a completely bespoke wedding ceremony. He will deliver exactly what you want, and so much more. Everybody had such an amazing time at the ceremony… It felt like it wasn’t just some formality you have to get through so we could party. We love Nico, you’re going to love Nico. Be prepared for the emotional hangover after the absolute greatest night of your life.

. But I know that whether it's SciFi, a murder mystery, or a romcom; what my husband and I do share a love for is an epic tale. And that is what Nico gave us. Storytelling is part of the human condition. We use stories to help us create a sense of self, to understand our own experiences, and to create a connection with one another. While we are all able to narrate our own lives to some degree and answer harrowing questions at parties like "how did you two meet?" creating a compelling story for others is a true art. There are a million plots out there that are essentially the same: boy meets girl, boy and girl have contempt for one another, boy and girl realize there is a fine line between love and hate, boy and girl get together and live happily ever after. What sets the classics such as When Harry Met Sally or Pride and Prejudice apart, is how the writer creates the connection between the characters and their audience, and how their story is then told. Nico's ability to fill our story with humor, tenderness, and love connected us to each of our guests and turned our 13 year relationship into a classic tale I want to enjoy again and again. I never questioned choosing Nico to be our officiant and I'm so grateful for all the work he put in to make our day as special as it was.
