My now wife and I had no idea where to even begin planning a wedding. We just knew we wanted it to be a little different and very special. Then we found RomCom Weddings. From the very first meeting, Nico made us feel like we were in the perfect hands. He really took the time to get to know us both and then crafted the ceremony of our dreams. Spending hours and days comparing venues, vendors, prices, services etc. and all that brought a lot of indecisiveness and anxiety. However, our first meeting with Nico was a completely different experience. Immediately after our initial call, I remember telling my fiancée that this is the person I want to move forward with for our ceremony. He was the only wedding vendor that I had zero doubts about starting from the first call all the way to the end. We picked Nico's signature package with 3 meetings which included one-on-one sessions with each of us. Working with him felt like I was talking with a good friend, super relaxing, easy and comfortable. He was also very professional and responsive throughout the whole process. You can tell that he truly cares about his couples and puts a great amount of effort into getting to know them individually and their story as a couple. You can chat with him for hours. He is good at leading the conversation and asking the right questions to get all the fun & romantic details out of your story. For our ceremony, he did a perfect blend of comedy & romance and delivered a beautiful ceremony filled with joy, energy and warmth. We got great feedback from our guests about our wedding in general and especially how it stood out from cookie-cutter weddings they attended in the past. The wedding ceremony wasn't just a formality that guests have to go through but instead it became one of the main highlights of our wedding day. Nico has been a good friend for many years. So when our wedding planning coincided with the rise of Nico’s career as an officiant it was an easy choice. Nico was such an amazing part of my daughter’s wedding day. The officiant begins setting the tone, and Nico’s warm, committed and humorous nature enhanced the ceremony. “That was easily the best wedding I’ve ever been to.” —IF you want to hear all of your friends and family say this over and over again, keep reading. Or better yet, stop reading and just book Nico to officiate your wedding. We booked Nico after meeting (virtually) with four other officiants. Each more boring than the last. After burning through LA’s biggest ~officiant company~ my (now) wife and I were scared about our prospects, probably should’ve looked into this a bit earlier. The rabbi was really cool but like, we’re not Jewish so is that bad? We stumbled onto Nico’s website. RomCom weddings? Actually sounds perfect. We discovered he was a writer and he loves love. We watched his stuff, dang this dude is perfect. He’s gotta be booked. He wasn’t, so we booked the introductory zoom call. We spoke for about 15-20 minutes, and I knew Nico was the man right away, I could see my fiancé loved him too. We booked him and got along with the process. Nico has different package options, we opted for the one that includes 1 on 1 meetings for both the bride and groom, so he can get to know you each individually and hear your love story from both perspectives. You start with a meeting with all three of you. He asks really thoughtful and detailed questions, taking notes all the way on things to follow up on in the 1 on 1 meetings. I felt bad for chatting for so long… Nico is just so easy to talk to, you feel like you wanna hang out with him all day. We got to the individual meetings and initially I thought they’d be a little too long, what were we going to talk about? Nico led the conversation effortlessly, and brought out all the little details I hadn’t thought about in a long time. I felt myself falling in love with my fiancé all over again as I recounted our story, and told Nico exactly how perfect she is to me. We had another amazing chat, I just basically rambled on about our relationship hoping that he’d be able to pull something usable out of my incoherency. Boy did he. Nico offered to read through our vows, which I highly recommend to everyone getting married, because you avoid that thing that happens when the groom’s boy is the officiant, and everybody makes the same joke in every speech. He didn’t spoil the ceremony, but offered some feedback on what details to add and what you could skip. Wedding day arrives, we love this dude at this point, fully trusting he’s going to kill it. And he killed it! I was so emotional all over again hearing him recount our love story, with all the little quotes and all the little details from both our perspectives, expertly combined into one cohesive story. Felt like a movie, I’m getting emotional thinking about it. And it was FUNNY too! This is like the, wipe-a-tear-and-laugh-out-loud-with-all-your-loved-ones-wedding you’ve been dreaming of. This is a completely bespoke wedding ceremony. He will deliver exactly what you want, and so much more. Everybody had such an amazing time at the ceremony… It felt like it wasn’t just some formality you have to get through so we could party. We love Nico, you’re going to love Nico. Be prepared for the emotional hangover after the absolute greatest night of your life.

Nico joked in the ceremony that it seemed silly for us to have hired him when I didn't even think our story was romantic and my husband has a strong aversion to any sort of romance. But I know that whether it's SciFi, a murder mystery, or a romcom; what my husband and I do share a love for is an epic tale. And that is what Nico gave us. Storytelling is part of the human condition. We use stories to help us create a sense of self, to understand our own experiences, and to create a connection with one another. While we are all able to narrate our own lives to some degree and answer harrowing questions at parties like "how did you two meet?" creating a compelling story for others is a true art. There are a million plots out there that are essentially the same: boy meets girl, boy and girl have contempt for one another, boy and girl realize there is a fine line between love and hate, boy and girl get together and live happily ever after. What sets the classics such as When Harry Met Sally or Pride and Prejudice apart, is how the writer creates the connection between the characters and their audience, and how their story is then told. Nico's ability to fill our story with humor, tenderness, and love connected us to each of our guests and turned our 13 year relationship into a classic tale I want to enjoy again and again. I never questioned choosing Nico to be our officiant and I'm so grateful for all the work he put in to make our day as special as it was.

Nico was everything we'd hoped for and more! He added such a fun flair to the ceremony and everything was so personalized and unique to us as a couple. He was also super professional and on top of everything from start to finish. We honestly didn't know who to have officiate our wedding and we aren't religious, so having someone tell our love story like a romantic comedy film was just perfect. Nico is amazing! He helped me and my husband renew our vows at our 10 year anniversary party. I came to him with an idea for a movie theme - that marriage is truly after the credits roll - and he took that idea and ran with it in such a beautiful way. Nico truly saved the day! Our family member had something come up to where he could no longer officiate our wedding a month before our wedding. Our amazing wedding planner immediately recommended Nico. After the initial meeting with Nico, my husband and I knew he was the one. We instantly clicked and he completely understood the assignment, an Alice in wonderland, steampunk wedding, with every syfy, fantasy and 90s films included. How to find the words to describe what Nico brought to our wedding? It was truly magical, heartfelt, intimate, and romantic. From the beginning, Nico was a joy to work with as we met with him together and separately to discuss our relationship, our wedding, and the kind of ceremony we were envisioning. Nico is an excellent listener and communicator; he made sure to keep our priorities at the forefront while making insightful suggestions and helping us in areas where we weren't sure what we wanted to do. Our conversations with him didn't feel like vendor meetings, but rather easy discussions with a friend about the biggest moments of our lives. Once he had written the ceremony, he asked if we wanted to see it ahead of time or hear it for the first time on the day of. We chose the latter, and we're so glad we did. The ceremony was absolutely amazing, beyond what we could have hoped for. It sounds like a cliche, but he had our guests laughing uproariously one moment and in tears of joy the next. There was literally not a dry eye in the room. I've never been to a wedding where everyone -- guests, couples, other vendors -- were so taken by the ceremony. For us, the experience of looking into each other's eyes, laughing and crying as Nico perfectly encapsulated our relationship and our hopes for the future was an experience we will truly never forget. There is no doubt in our mind that Nico will soon be the most in-demand officiant in Los Angeles, so do yourself a favor and book him while you can!

Nico was the officiant at a wedding I photographed recently. The couple are dear friends of mine, and it was amazing to hear him weave together their love story in such a thoughtful way with so many of laughs and a few happy tears. The ceremony was heartful, touching, and filled with love and humor - a perfect reflection of the couple he was marrying. Not only was his ceremony fantastic, but he was also very approachable and kind. It's probably the reason the couple trusted him and didn't read his ceremony beforehand. This was truly the best gift they could give themselves as they got to re-experience their love story through his words all over again and be genuinely surprised with laughter, making for great photos. Nico was an amazing officiant for the wedding of my son Scott to his now bride Alison! He took the time to learn about each of them separately and together and wove what he learned into a beautiful, sincere, and very heart-warming and entertaining ceremony! What I remember most about Nico was how much he cared about making himself familiar with the ins and outs of my daughter’s relationship. He did an excellent job of making us feel the special loving atmosphere that day while keeping it light and humorous. The tone of the ceremony was very warm while also being hilarious. He is comfortable speaking to a rather large crowd and in holding their attention, garnering many laughs where appropriate and also many “aww” moments.
