Alex grows many of her own flowers and sources hundreds of unique, seasonal blooms from local farmers. Her organic approach to floral design allows each arrangement to bloom naturally, creating effortlessly stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces.
Beyond weddings and events, Romenta Plants also offers fresh bouquets to locals and cultivates medicinal herbs while continuously experimenting with new flower varieties. Alex’s love for flowers first blossomed in her backyard garden in Washington, D.C., where she sold bouquets and helped urban gardeners bring greenery to their spaces. After years of managing TV productions for Discovery, Nat Geo, A&E, and VH1, she transitioned her skills into floral design—blending artistry, organization, and an eye for beauty into every event.

Hey! My name is Alex and I love bouncy and dazzling flowers without forcing them into a contrived shape. I have an english cutting garden style mixed with delicate and colorful flowers. I started working with flowers by transforming my Washington, DC, basement apartment backyard into a cut flower oasis in the middle of the city. I was hooked on growing and making arrangements with flowers. A long time TV producer and manager, I know how to deliver a quality product. And I'm a lover of flowers, color, and putting on an event. As Design Coordinator, Gabby plays a key role in bringing each floral vision to life—from preparation and design to seamless on-site execution. She supports the Lead Designer by overseeing setup and teardown flow, coordinating the install team, and ensuring every detail is executed with care and intention.
With a background in orthodontics and the restaurant/service industry, Gabby brings a calm, organized, and people-first approach to fast-paced event days. She’s often the point of contact for venues during load-in and setup, helps orient team members on arrival, manages transportation of floral elements, and keeps a close eye on quality control so the final design feels cohesive and true to the original vision.
Outside of events, she’s a true flower momma—growing her own blooms and sharing them generously with friends and family whenever she can. A fellow mom with a deep love for flowers, she’s fully caught the flower bug, and her passion shows in the thoughtful styling, candle placement, and finishing touches she brings to every celebration.

I cannot say enough good things about Alex. She took my vision from one consultation and immediately knew what I was going for- and let me tell you, she KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!...

Not only were the florals absolutely stunning, she also worked with me on my budget and even went above and beyond to make a boutonnière on the day on the fly (I’m not sure if that was my fault and I gave her the wrong count but it probably was lol). My wedding was a vintage garden party theme and Alex seemed like she was totally in her element- she included blooms and extra details (like moss on the base of my arch) that I never would have thought of had I not given her creative freedom. I am also so happy to have supported a small mother/daughter business. If you are on the fence whether you should hire Alex, just DO IT!!
