Romina Murillo Makeup Artistry

Romina is an outstanding makeup artist. I usually do not wear a lot of makeup, so I told her that I didn't even know enough to be able to tell her what I wanted; instead, I showed her a few styles on Pinterest that I liked and I told her about my wedding dress and the overall theme. From that information, she did the most beautiful and fitting vintage-style makeup. I got lots of compliments--even from my photographer!--and I never gave my makeup another thought!

Hands down Romina was my favorite vendor at my wedding, a close call between her and my wedding coordinator Leanne Elliot of Soleil Events, who was amazing in her own right. Romina spent the better part of the wedding morning getting me & the bridesmaids ready, so we spent a lot of time together. She was funny, calm, relatable, sincere & had a great energy - as a bride you need to surround yourself with these kinds of people on your wedding day, it can be the difference between a good day & a bad one. Something that I did not think about when I was looking for hair and makeup was that personality aspect of who I would be hiring, it is very important. Remember that you will be spending hours upon hours with your makeup & hair girls on your wedding day, they will be part of the bridal party group & contribute to your laughter, tears, stories & hugs. The makeup that Romina did on everyone looked wonderful, a natural look that emphasized everyone's natural beauty. I had a make up trial with her, but the bridesmaids had consultations that morning, it all worked out in the end. After getting ready off-site, Romina joined us at the venue. She was there doing makeup touch-ups on site (on a record breaking hot day in SB) on myself and my maids. She even drove my bridesmaids to an alternate photography site which was a 5 minute walk so the girls didn't have to walk in their heels. She left right before the ceremony, but not before leaving me with a "refresh" kit of lip color & blotting pads, she really thinks of everything. Hire Romina as to do your make up on your wedding day, this bride did not regret it!

Romina is Santa Barbara's best kept beauty secret and a make-up miracle worker. My wedding was at a vineyard in Los Olivos, and I couldn't find anyone to do my make-up at a reasonable price nearby. I am so grateful that my wedding coordinator recommended Romina. I had trouble reaching her at first, but I finally scheduled a complimentary trial with her and loved her from the beginning. Her warm personality helped calm my nerves on my wedding day and her technical skills made me feel absolutely beautiful. Her rates are reasonable and her work is exceptional. My make-up was the one thing I didn't have to worry about on my wedding day. It lasted all day and night without any mishaps and I looked like the most beautiful version of myself. She kept it fresh and natural as I requested, and I received a number of compliments from guests. I would have paid her more than double what she charged. She's really that good. I highly recommend Romina for any special event make-up needs.

I can't say enough good things about Romina. I don't wear a lot of makeup, so I was nervous about getting my makeup done. Romina understood exactly what to do to keep a natural look I was comfortable with but still enhance my features to pop for the camera. And she loves what she does and can give you great tips!
