Everything about our wedding at the Hyatt House was five stars. We tried really hard to find a middle ground between a bare venue where you have to do everything and a "wedding factory" that churns out impersonal weddings at cost and an overwhelming number of unimportant details and Hyatt House was exactly it.
We were able to choose important things like food and layout, but didn't stress over small things like silverware or tablecloths.
And talk about that VIEW!. Absolutely the best view of NYC. no doubt.
Eileen the Sales Manager at the venue was an absolute delight to work with. We could not be happier with out wedding.
Amazing venue- stunning views (guests keep talking about it!) Eileen, our coordinator was responsive, understanding, and made the entire day easy! I would recommend this place over and over’ food was amazing, set up, service was GREAT- nothing went wrong !
Views, Views, Views..... what a beautiful venue. If you want something that makes your guests jaws drop. The team is kind and are willing to work with you!
Overall a wonderful experience!!!
There are so many great things to say about this place, I don't know where to start! We had our wedding on a Monday night in August, with about 60 people present, not including our 12+ vendors there throughout the day. The space is GORGEOUS. The views from the rooftop are unbeatable. The best views of the city, for sure. Location wise, it was super convenient for our guests driving in, and our guests taking the path train from NYC (it's literally next door to the hotel). Our out of town guests loved the convenience of the Hyatt House Hotel. We got ready in a suite in the hotel which was beautiful. Everything in the event spaces in new and modern, but also a great blank slate. The staff is amazing! Nishita and her team at Rooftop at Exchange Place made our wedding day beyond special. She answered my emails and phone calls asap, and was always willing to work with my schedule. The service on our wedding day was great and our guests raved about the food. The food options are really awesome, with a really wide range of choices. We also had our afterparty here for a very small fee, and it was honestly heaven (and easy for our guests staying at the hotel!). I highly recommend this venue if you want to break away from the traditional ballroom/garden weddings and have something chic and modern that will wow your guests. We can't wait to visit for our anniversary!
we had a wonderful time. as we were planning, we were a little worried about attention to detail. but Nishita was on top of everything within the month leading up to the wedding. we did a lot of the wedding DIY, and the staff put together all the decorations/flowers/frames together exactly as we outlined. simply an incredible night, and the view was incomparable.
Their wedding team is the worst. It takes them more than a week to reply to emails ( that is if they even bother replying at all), you need to chase them, they show up late/unprepared to meetings, they don’t follow up after meetings, have widely different quotes for food/beverage min. that when you prove to them the quote they say “we’ll get back to with the best we can do” but never do. Managed to get the point of meeting with them, pricing out the menu, seeing the venue, and this was my first choice strictly because of the view; but they are impossible to work with. Also, they have ridiculous fees, $5 per person to cut cake? That’s the cost of the cake?? Giving your guests the OPTION of another entree $12. Please don’t waste your time, you’ll be just as disappointed as me.
