My Husband and I had such a wonderful experience having our wedding at a Room with a View. We live in New England and were planning a wedding remotely to be closer to family and fr...
iends in Nashville for our wedding. We even had two venues cancel prior to finding Room with a View, and we are so glad they did! When we contacted a Room with a View, Emily was more than accommodating, and made planning a wedding remotely seamless! She was responsive and was there with us every step of the way, the venue was private, rustic and warm. We loved the exposed brick, the lights and were able to have a live band, catering/bar and a photo booth. Our wedding was more intimate and had around 40 guests, so this was more than enough room! The preferred vendor list that Emily gave us was impeccable as well! Highly recommend!
I knew the day of our venue tour that Room With A View was where my now-husband and I would get married. I was instantly drawn to the history and character of the space, and I love...
d the built-in mini museum that gives guests something unique and different to enjoy during cocktail hour.
The getting-ready room was another huge perk for me and my bridesmaids. I love the way it’s decorated and it’s very spacious, easily fit 10+ people without ever feeling crowded.
And of course, the main event space was even better than our expectations once we saw all our planning and design come to life. Overall, my husband and I absolutely loved RWAV and couldn’t imagine celebrating anywhere else!
Room With a View is such an incredible venue— my (now) husband and I knew as soon as we did the tour it would be the perfect spot for our wedding, and we weren’t wrong! The exposed...
brick walls and wood floors are beautiful, and as the name suggests, there are some gorgeous views through the large windows. It is stunning! The venue is also conveniently located close to downtown and The Gulch (a quick Uber ride, or walkable if you want), but without the hustle and bustle since it is nestled in the charm of Marathon Village. Our photographer found some perfect photo spots (both inside and outside) that made for some truly beautiful and unique photos. We had ~100 guests and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the evening and have a great party on the dance floor! One of our favorite things about RWAV was the convenience of having everything in the same space and not having to switch venues from ceremony to reception, or set up different areas for the ceremony, catering, bar, etc. There was enough room for us to stage everything ahead of time so flipping the room from ceremony to reception was quick and easy. The venue also has two “get ready” areas, which simplified the day so much and made for easy coordination of the groom/groomsmen and bride/bridesmaids on the wedding day.
Emily was also fantastic to work with, and was super accommodating since we were planning a destination wedding from across the country. Communication was quick and easy, she was incredibly helpful answering questions, and overall was a huge help in making sure things went smoothly!
Cannot recommend this venue enough!!
The venue was so beautiful. Emily was super great to work with and very responsive. The only complaint i would have is there’s no A/C in the hallways. I got married in August and i...
t was so hot inside. Besides the A/C complaint, the venue was amazing and a great price!
Marathon Village Event Space was the perfect setting for our May 2022 wedding. Venue rental was very reasonably priced, close to downtown, & contracts were straightforward. Victori...
a at Marathon was incredibly kind, helpful, understanding, patient & easy to contact. Renting the tables & chairs from marathon was very convenient because they were already set up for us. We rented the space the day before our wedding to decorate which allowed us to add a lot of personal & creative projects. Victoria was willing to work with & coordinate other hired vendors to view the space. We ended up having the space Friday from 9-5pm & Saturday from 9-1am. Marathon now has the option to use their pipe & drape. Check on the elevator! It should be completed soon!
This venue gave us the wedding of our dreams. It was an ideal industrial space with the exposed brick and a view over Nashville. Everyone mentioned how cool of a space it was. We h...
ad about 115 people in there seated for the reception and ceremony comfortably. Victoria was a gem to work with and you can truly make the space your own!
This is a great venue for a wedding and/or reception. I had both there and it was a perfect day. The staff was so helpful the day before, having the tables and chairs set up for me...
and all I had to do was move them where I wanted them. They reserved parking out front for the day of the wedding, which was very nice. They just changed the floors from dark concrete to wood. It looked so much nicer than when I first toured it before we selected it for our wedding. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding or event. The staff is very nice and friendly.
We choose Marathon Village as our reception venue, though you could really use it many events, becuase of it's location and unique character. The view is BEAUTIFUL!!! Everyone was ...
in ah of how WONDERFUL the room appeared. The space is pretty much a blank canvas with a rustic feel. It doesn't take much to decorate the space and the staff is very flexible regarding the use of the space. The ONLY downfall is it doesn't have an elevator so elderly guest my find it difficult to reach the 3rd floor; HOWEVER, it is worth the climb. It is a GREAT SPACE for the cost. We were able to bring in our own vendors, which is awesome. We were TOTALLY PLEASED!!!
The view of down town Nashville is beautiful from this location! The building is very vintage. In fact, the first floor is an old card musuem. The cost is very cheap comparable to ...
the other downtown Nashville venues. Also, the staff is exteremely nice to work with. They also alow you to bring your own venders, meaning you don't have to use someone they prefer or some over priced vendor.
The only complaint which is HUGE.... they do NOT have an elevator. The room is on the third floor and they are MANY MANY flights of stairs. So, all your vendors: linens, tables and chairs, band, etc will more than likely charge your extra because its such a pain to travel up and down that many flights of stairs. It is a lot more touble than I think anyone will wan to deal with. If you are having older guests at your wedding, its almost impossible to get them up the stairs. That's why my overall rating is 3.
We did our reception here, but not the ceremony. Third floor warehouse event space. Enough room for almost 200 for a seated dinner. We did 150 with a buffet set up. Lots of freedom...
for decor and we were able to come back on Monday to pick everything up. Very pleasant people to work with. There is NO ELEVATOR and the space is on the 3rd floor. They do have 60 inch rounds and nice padded black chairs to rent that are already in the room and very reasonably priced. If you keep the rentals simple and warn the vendors since they may charge you more for labor, this space is awesome! The huge weird white thing in the middle of the room actually lets you use your imagination for things to do with it! We did our cupcake display on the main stage part and decorated the graduated shelving things behind it. Very cool. I've had more compliments than you can imagine.
