Root Photography

Nate and Jensey are the nicest, most easy going people ever; but more importantly, they also happen to be the best wedding photographers in the world!!!! Their work is simply stunning. And Nate will do anything to get that perfect shot, I remember seeing him laying backwards in a flower bed in his suit to get the right angle!! As with most things in life, you get what you pay for. Remember that in years from now the photographs on your wall or in your album will be the memories you and your family will have. So the photography is worth paying for to get right. And Root Photography get it right, and then some! I totally recommend without hesitation!

Words cannot express how much we love our wedding photos done by Nate and Jensey. It is so rare that you can look at a photograph and be instantly taken back to that moment in time, and all of our photos are just like that. Each time Root Photography took a picture, they truly captured the personality of each person. Every photo seemed natural and organic, not staged. From our first call, Nate was so friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable in everything. He made sure to take the effort to get to know us as a couple before we even got to the wedding day and I feel like that truly made a difference. During our wedding day it felt like we were hanging out with some of our best friends all day instead of strangers with a camera. He made my husband and I feel truly comfortable in front of a camera (and that is extremely hard to do). As someone who struggles with body dismorphia, I had a lot of anxiety about the way I looked. However, everything that Nate and Jensey took was nothing short of incredible. I finally feel beautiful and comfortable in my skin when looking at these pictures. Nate and Jensey are the real deal! From first outreach (they weren't available for our first tentative date) to booking (but they were available for our actual date, yay!) Nate was friendly and energetic, even just by email. I literally didn't worry about a thing from the second I booked them. On the wedding day I felt like they were just another couple members of our entourage. They kept us on schedule, they calmed me down, they even dealt with annoying family members (🙄) in the kindest most professional way. Oh, and the pictures are STUNNING. Literally the stuff my wedding dreams were made of. One of my biggest fears was feeling like the photography would take away from the moment during our ceremony. I literally didn't even know they were there! (in the best way!) I can't say enough, Nate and Jensey are amazing and you should definitely hire them for your event!

It's hard to write a review when you are literally out of words because of how breathtaking these photos are. I just got full gallery (mind you, about 2 weeks from the event dates - which is almost unheard of on its own), and I don't even know how or where to start. I only worked with Nathan, but holy cow. From the beginning, Nathan was so easy to communicate with via email. So friendly and honest in responses, and you could tell was genuinely passionate and excited to work with us - and it was about the work and not the business, if that makes sense. I could tell he just wants to make clients happy. When we had a consultation with him closer to the date, he was so friendly - it didn't feel like I was talking with a vendor, but more so an actual friend. Which made everything feel so easy. We hired Nathan to capture our welcome party and rehearsal dessert party with Disney - which have a heavier emphasis on fireworks - and he knocked everything out of the park. He captured details of our food and so many photos with friends and family. I can't get enough of the incredible shots he got of the fireworks, which are what I was most excited for. But, working with him was just as memorable as the photos he captured. If I could do my wedding all over again (and after these pictures... I want to) I would hire Nathan again in a heartbeat. No questions asked.

There aren’t nearly enough words to describe how amazing these photographers are. I had the most difficult wedding experience you could imagine and from two venue changes to a death the morning of the wedding and everything in between, all during a pandemic, they rolled with all the punches. They feel like family-I was sad when they left! And their photos are simply breathtaking. I had no idea I could look that good. They know just how to pose you and how to keep you looking natural. You can see how comfortable we feel in the pictures. Not only do they take the most fantastic posed pictures, their candids are incredible. They took pictures of so many of the guests and captured every small moment that happened throughout the day. There were things that I was trying to remember that they captured because they seem to have a sixth sense about catching these moments. Their communication was perfectly timely throughout the whole process and their pricing is incredibly fair for the amount of photos you get and the high quality. We will be using them for every life event that we have going forward. Hiring them will be the best wedding decision you make!!

How can I even begin to describe how wonderful, amazing, and talented Nate and Jensey are? We have been absolutely blown away with the artistry that is #Root_Weddings. From our engagement photos where we were worried that we would be nervous and awkward, but within minutes, Nate had us relaxed and he captured some truly special moments. Nate and Jensey continually went out of their way to go above and beyond. One of my only requests for photos was to get golden hour photos outside, weather permitting. To make that happen the day or, both Nate and Jensey checked out the venue the day before the wedding because they hadn’t been there before and scouted out some great outdoor spaces to take photos. On the day of, the weather cooperated, and Nate captured some truly magical moments—including a real “princess and prince charming” moment!! During the planning process, Nate and Jensey were a pleasure and always responsive. We could not be happier with the moments they captured for us and we will treasure them for a lifetime. Hire them!

Absolutely amazing! Nathan was super friendly and professional. He traveled to our area of Florida to capture our special day. The moment I saw the pictures on the Root Photography website I was sold. I told my husband "We have to hire the Roots!" The quality of the images and the moments that they are able to create and capture are absolutely priceless. The Roots were super responsive to all my emails and questions. They made me feel like no question was silly or request too big or small. They were super flexible and worked with us on every aspect of the planning. They helped us with our timeline for the day which was critical. We had so many last minute changes because of the current times, but they helped make it seamless and stressfree. We had the opportunity to have both Nate AND Jensey on our special day, and they were both incredible. We had a small destination wedding and we were afraid how the pictures might look with the possibility of "empty space". But everything was shot and framed perfectly - so if you're looking for a Florida destination wedding with only a few guests, they're absolutely right for you. Throughout the process, both Nate and Jensey were easy to talk to and made time for us. Most of our communication was via email, with a few phone calls, but finally meeting them in person on the big day was like seeing old friends. I know that when I was looking for a photographer, I kept wondering about prices. They have different packages to select from, and the Roots even worked with us to create a coverage plan that worked best for our event at a very fair price. Planning a wedding can be a stressful and tiresome process in its self. However, planning a destination wedding all the way in Disney came with its own obstacles and stressors. That being said, Jensey and Nate made finding a photographer the most seamless process. Words can't describe how terrific, accommodating, and hard-working these two are. Communication was easy and completed in a timely fashion. They tailored a photography schedule that fit in with our early Disney morning and allowed as to get the most photos for our time. They made us feel comfortable and were able to capture the most beautiful, intimate, and flattering photos of us! We have received endless complements. I can not recommend them enough. My husband and I are definitely Root lifers for sure!

I am not sure where the proper place is to begin when trying to review the dynamic duo of Nate and Jensey of Root Photography. I stumbled upon some of their work on Pinterest during a late-night scrolling session and felt an instant connection with their vision. I reached out immediately via website contact submission and received the wonderful news that they had our wedding date open! Nate quickly went to work crafting our customized photography schedule. All of my questions and emails were answered promptly. I was so nervous for our photography on the big day as neither my now-husband nor myself are “in front of the camera” kind of people. Nate and Jensey arrived at my Disney resort hotel room ahead of schedule and got to work setting up their equipment right away. My nerves were tangible from the moment Nate pulled out the first camera. To my surprise, and delight!, Nate and Jensey both made me feel very comfortable. I proceeded through my morning of getting ready with my girls and hardly noticed they were there (as instructed), besides when they were cracking their authentically funny jokes to get real-life smiles out of us. Their attention to detail, angles, lighting, etc. was all evident without being overbearing. Our guests at our ceremony commented on how well they blended in with our small group (roughly 20 people)- something not easily done! They knew how to interact with the young (8 months) to the old (80s) and seamlessly transition in-between. The poses they put us in felt natural. The on-going conversation we had with them through-out our portraits kept us feeling at-ease all day! By the end of our time with them it felt like we had made two new, super talented, friends. I already cannot wait to find our family in central Florida again so we can benefit from their creative geniuses! If you’ve read this far you may have noticed how I commented only on our interactions with Nate and Jensey and not our photographs. They were SO incredibly awesome to work with that I decided to review them before we’ve received our final images. I cannot wait to sit with my husband and re-live our day through what I am sure will be an album full of breath-taking images when we receive them. If you are in need of a photographer- book the Root duo- you will be so thankful you did, I know we are!!!

Nate and Jensey are truly one of a kind. They were so easy to work with on my wedding day. We have gotten numerous compliments from various family members and friends on their amazing talent and ease to work with. They were so patient during family photos despite us having to constantly wrangle everyone together. They got us our sneak peak photos within just a couple weeks and full photos within a month! Knowing how busy they are and that many of my friends waited 4+ months for their own wedding photos, I was shocked at how quickly they finished everything. Nate and Jensey were the BEST vendors at our wedding. From day 1 we loved working with them; they are so upbeat and pleasant and just so much fun to be with. They kept me on track by providing a timeline and were so accommodating with my many requests and rambunctious bridal party. Nathan and Jensey were absolutely amazing!!! Our photos are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined and we received them at the speed of light compared to my other family and friends that didn't see there wedding photos for months on end. The first thing I researched when my husband and I decided to get married at Disney was photographers. Disney has their own photography department, but I wasn't very impressed. Over the course of about a month, we talked to numerous photographers and everything was 'good' but not 'great'. I found the Roots and my heart melted. After convincing my husband that this would be worth the cost, we booked the Roots. We got our photos back two weeks ago and every single person we have shown them to has told us that they are the best wedding photos they have ever seen, that it was worth every penny, and that they were completely impressed with not only the photos but also the people behind the cameras. Nate and Jensey are two of the nicest people we have ever met and we are looking forward to using them for family portraits in a few years :) We cannot recommend them enough! We chose Root Photography for our Disney Fairytale Wedding on June 28th. If you are even thinking about hiring them, well, you absolutely MUST!!! We are SO happy we chose them. The quality of the photos and the moments that they captured for us are completely breathtaking. They capture moments that you wouldn't even think about, posed group photos that somehow don't look posed anymore, and flattering, beautiful candid shots that tell a story. Love these two!!! This is the fourth event that these guys have worked with my family on and my husband and I literally picked our wedding date based on when they were available for our wedding in Maine. They have proven their talents time and again. They are easy to work with and I will gladly fly to Florida anytime I need family photos taken so that I can continue to work with them.

Hiring Jensey and Nate was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. They are amazing people that are even more amazing at what they do. Out of all of our photos, there isn't one that we don't love! I am slightly camera shy, but they managed to capture some of the most beautiful moments of our special day. We picked the Roots based on all the great reviews, now we are adding our own great review. If you're thinking about hiring them, do it! From the moment we met them, they put us completely at ease, which was no small task on a stressful day. We'd never had photos taken before and were concerned about possible awkwardness, but there was none at all. They were just SO nice, warm, fun, and professional. Our guests raved about how they were everywhere yet unobtrusive. They were especially great and patient with the kids at our wedding. They not only took excellent portraits, they also captured the spirit and moments of the ceremony and reception with great skill. The bottom line is that they are everything you want and more: they are extremely nice, fun people who are easy to get along with and are also skilled photographers. Our wedding was better for having hired them. Yours will be too!

I first found Nathan and Jensey’s work online while searching for some unique things to do at Disney World. I found that their friends had a website all about their Disney travels, and the website was full of the Roots’ photos of Disney World, and I immediately fell in love with their work! I myself have been to Disney countless times, but more than any other photographers’ work, I absolutely love the design of We cannot speak highly enough of the Roots. From the quality of their photography, their desire to accommodate their customers, and their simply wonderful nature, Nathan and Jensey were a complete joy to work with! We exchanged phone calls and emails for a while, but first met them directly at our engagement session at the Disney Boardwalk. Nathan and Jensey were very friendly and easy going. They know how to take an ideal shot, and they know how to work with you to get that shot in an easy fashion. They basically made an hour long engagement session into a casual and enjoyable stroll and conversation. And of course their work was simply amazing! Then, on our wedding day, Nathan and Jensey were so calm and friendly during the chaos of the day. So many times during the day, you didn’t even know they were around, and yet they captured such wonderful candid photos of the most important day of our lives. They are great at your “standard” shots - the posed photos and such. But what I love the most about their work is the quality of their candid shots. They capture such perfect moments, particularly the small moments that so easily get lost in the whirlwind of big events. They have given us captured memories that will last a lifetime. I cannot endorse Nathan and Jensey’s work in any stronger terms. They will present you with unmatched work you will cherish forever. They will make the otherwise awkward act of posing for photographs feel so natural, and the results will be gorgeous. And on top of that, Nathan and Jensey will be some of the nicest and warmest people you will have around you on your big day. The Roots traveled to New Orleans for us, and I would recommend them to anyone, anywhere! If you worry about price, they are worth every penny because they aren't just Amazing photographers, but also wedding therapists! They kept us on time, made us laugh, calmed me down when I got nervous, AND gave me a packet of instant photos at the end of the night to remember favorite moments by! I still don't know how they did that, but the moment after the wedding was over, I already had photos to share with people! Their photography is Art! After reviewing Nathan and Jensey’s website and reading others reviews, I knew that I had to have them photograph our wedding. They were actually the first vendors that I hired, even before I picked my venue! Nathan and Jensey certainly lived up to my expectations as they did a fantastic job and the pictures look beautiful. Right from the start communication was super easy and we managed to coordinate the details of the wedding all the way from Canada. My biggest concern was capturing our family photos as my husband has a rather large immediate family (20 people) and those photos always take forever, but with Nathan and Jensey at the helm they were over almost as soon as they started. I feel like we should have them on hand for all family events! I am so happy with our decision to hire them as we got great photos of our family and friends and all the small details that went into making our wedding day so special. These memories will last a lifetime and I’m excited to share our photos with our loved ones. It’s nice to have people that are good at their job at your wedding but it’s even better to have Roots Photography because not only are they good at their jobs but they are fantastic people.

Nate and Jensey Root are by far the best photographers a bride and groom can ask for. We did both the engagement shoot and wedding day with them. I am a little uncomfortable in front of a camera but they make you feel like it's no big deal and you're just having fun with friends but then deliver the most amazing photographs and capture not only the posed pictures, but also the special moments in between showing genuine love and happiness. One of my favorite parts of the wedding was finding mixed in with me envelopes, an envelope from The Roots with some Polaroids from the wedding day. Between those and the blog post I have plenty of pictures to show my friends while we wait for the whole package!

Photography was a BIG thing to my now husband and I truly couldnt believe how many photographers he made us meet with! And I knew that after meeting with the Roots AND seeing their past work, they were going to be our Photographers for our big day! Jensey may be the sweetest person I have met and as a Bride, you just feel so comforted by her presence and delighted by her attention to detail! And Nathan is just SO dynamic and truly talented. When we originally planned to have our wedding at Walt Disney World I began searching the net for photographers to use. I stumbled across the Roots while viewing some Disney Brides forums. I absolutely fell in love with every single picture that they had on their website. When we decided to not do a Disney wedding I was devastated that I wouldn’t have them as my photographers. Luckily after our engagement session with them in Orlando my hubby agreed that we had to have them. Nathan and Jensey were so awesome that they actually travelled without charging us. It was a plus that they eloped a few towns over and wanted an excuse to come back to Connecticut. :) I can’t tell you how awesome I think they both are. Not only do they take amazingly beautiful pictures but they also made us feel so comfortable and that’s hard to do when people are staring at you. They were also willing to work with us on what we wanted and our budget. Our photos were done about a month after the wedding, which was much quicker than we thought. I’m a horrible picture person always have been, but they made me look beautiful. Each and every picture was amazing. They got just about every detail I wanted without having to give them a “shopping” list. We would definitely recommend the Roots for any event. Beside an amazing eye for photos they are two of the nicest people we’ve met. They make you feel like your instantly friends and not just another couple that they have to photograph.

Two words--Use them!!!!!!! Jensey and Nate are the best there is and you don't want anything but the best to capture the memories of the most important day of your life. Their attention to detail is amazing and they are able to capture those moments that you want to remember and cherish. Their pictures are AMAZING. If you spend money on one aspect of the wedding let it be this. You wont be disappointed!

We knew Nate and Jensey before our wedding because they did my brother's wedding and another one of our friends weddings. Once we saw their pictures, we knew we had to have them for our wedding! They are the niceset people to work with and the pictures are simply breathtaking! We haven't got our pictures yet, but we did see a preview and I am dying to see the rest! It may seem a bit pricey, but it is worth it! Hire them! You won't regret it!!

The quality of the photography is excellent. Their candids were amazing.;They are not good at canned group photos. (the ones you have to have of all your family.) They did nothing to assist the composition or where people stood and the pictures do not look good.
