Rosa Mae's provided all of the linens, tableware, and centerpieces for our wedding. The centerpieces were beautiful and exactly like what we'd discussed in our consultations. The s...
weet potato casserole is incredible, and people are still talking about how good it was. People also raved about the apps at cocktail hour and how good the punch was.
There were a couple issues with our day: several of our guests cannot have gluten and we asked for there to be gluten-free cupcakes to serve to them. We were told this wouldn't be an issue, but at the reception the cupcakes were dairy free instead of gluten free, which meant our gluten-sensitive guests didn't get any dessert and no one ate any of the cupcakes. Our cake was also not the color we asked for at our final consultation, but it was still beautiful and tasted great. Unfortunately, we were not served a piece of our cake by the wait staff. We managed to comb through the leftovers to find a to-go box of cake at the end of the night that we could take with us, but it was disappointing that we were overlooked during the reception itself. In all, our experience was pretty positive but there was some attention to detail lacking for such an expensive part of our day.
I am so glad we chose Rosa Mae's for catering our rehearsal dinner and wedding at Castle McCulloch! The food was just as amazing as when we did our tasting and it was a huge relief...
that they also provided the table linens, decor, china table settings, glasses, and drinks. The staff were all very kind and professional. The carving station we had at both events was a nice added touch to the castle! The only things that could have been better were the punch fountain broke and the punch was just placed in a large bowl (I am not sure most people knew what it was), the cake was not placed on a cake stand as discussed during the final consultation, and the cake was cut on the table by the owner instead of being taken into the kitchen and then served by the staff. Overall, Rosa Mae's was easy to work with and the food was delicious!
Thank you to the awesome Rosa Mae's team! My day would not have been the same without you. They did a wonderful job throughout the event. They took extra special care of my mom who...
has been having a rough time lately and it really made her night which of course fills my heart even more. Everyone is still talking about the ceremony site decor, the reception decor, the food, the cake, the service. I cannot say enough about these wonderful, great, awesome people, especially Beth Davis, who always goes out her way to make the dream a reality. I think she has a touch of fairy godmother in her 🤗 Thank you will never be enough 💞👰🏼💞
As the Father of the Bride, it was wonderful working with Beth, Mary and the Rosa Mae's team. They went out of their way to accomodate our every need. I would highly recommend R...
osa Mae's Catering!
Loved the food. Everyone really enjoyed the food. Appetizers as well as entrees. We got a buffet and were really happy with the quality and taste of food and the service as well. T...
hanks to Beth and Mary for the great service and food. Also, Beth does great flower arrangements on cakes. Totally recommend them for wedding catering.
Awful! I had a consultation with Beth, the owner, where I told her about my wheat allergy. She said it was not an issue and we discussed wheat-free options and modifications that c...
ould be made to the menu. At the end of the consultation, she told me how other brides were already calling and requesting my date and how I should go ahead and sign the contract and pay the deposit. Then, later that week at the tasting, the chef only served items containing wheat. I could not eat anything at the tasting without risking hospitalization. I called her and told her what happened, expecting her to be apologetic, but boy was I wrong! She said it was my fault because we went to the tasting on the wrong day, even though she never told us what day to go and asked that we just call the day of so she could coordinate with the restaurant (which is what we did). Then, she said it was my fault for having wheat-containing items on the menu, but we had discussed modifications to those items! She refused to return the $500 deposit, despite the fact that the food served was not edible. Save your time and money and go somewhere (anywhere) else!
The food was good, but the owner had no sense of customer service. She misquoted the price and refused to make it right. She was so rude and disrespectful throughout the entire pro...
cess. Also, the food at the wedding was served right away, and I walked away from the table, and the food was gone when I returned. If you get married at Castle McCulloch, please use the other vendor!
Very rude, very expensive. I advise not to use them for anything. They were so slow with responding to us the from the very beginning. I am usually an easy going person but they ma...
de everything with our catering for our wedding difficult. When they would say they would get our invoice to us that day, it would take over a week. They took over a week to respond to emails and calls. And when they did respond to our wedding coordinator, she would say we never talked about that (about which tables or such to use) when my mother and I both clearly remember we did. Thank God my mom writes everything down. Not only was planning with them difficult (the lady, Beth I believe, that we worked with even said she shouldn't work with people. Yeah that was an understatement) they made my wedding day insanely difficult for my mother. They were so slow setting everything up, they tried to set the food out BEFORE the ceremony, in the ceremony area where my guest would be sitting and then complained when we did not want the food to sit out, saying it will take too long to put the food out (who wants your hungry guest to sit right by the food and smell it as you say your vows). And when it came time to set up the tables, they went so slow. When my mother, aunt, mother in law, and others tried to help since they were taking thier time just by putting the table cloths on the tables, they TOOK AND HID them. The woman Beth was spiteful and rude. We paid more for them then we the actually venue and I am very sadden by this catering companies behavior. Every other vendor I used was so sweet and wanted to make sure my day was perfect. Not Rosa Mae's. Like I said, I am a very easy going person, but even if I was a bridezilla (which I was not), with all the money we spent, we should have been treated with respect as paying customers. I'm so glad we didn't use them for our wedding cake either, the day of our wedding, one of the hair dressers doing our girls hair said they completely ruined their daughters. If you have to use a catering company for Castle McCullough, please use the other venue
Rosa Mae's did an amazing job! Everyone raved about the food, and Beth and Sherri were so helpful! They helped me select linens, centerpieces, and coordinated the set up and break ...
down. Our wedding plans were thrown off because of Hurricane Matthew, but the staff at Rosa Mae's helped in any way they could to make sure our day was beautiful! Our guests even commented on what a great job they did. Fantastic vendor!
Beth, the owner of Rosa Mae's, bent over backwards for us to have exactly what we wanted for our wedding. My husband and I are both vegetarian and had quite a few guests who were v...
egan. Beth came up with some awesome meal options to make meat eaters happy on a vegetarian themed evening. We got countless compliments on our menu for both dinner and for dessert (which we had through Rosa Mae's, as well). The crowd favorites were definitely the ravioli and eggplant parm, as well as the mini cupcakes and mini pies. Beyond that, her waiting staff were very attentive and kind and she personally checked in on everyone numerous times throughout the evening. We will ONLY use Rosa Mae's for any catering events we may have in the future.
I really enjoyed working with Elizabeth and her staff. Everyone was super friendly, and professional. She took us in last minute and was able to cater the reception, my wedding cak...
e, and set up my reception decor. The food was delicious, all my guest said so!
All of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food! Rosa Mae's was very accommodating and easy to work with. We were very happy with everything.
Beth was an absolute pleasure to work with. The food was delicious and I am still receiving comments on how good it was. Beth was always available for any questions I had and alway...
s took her time with me. She also ideas and recommendations when asked. Rosa Mae Catering also did my cake and it was more gorgeous than I had pictured in my head. They took care of everything and I didn't have to worry about a thing. My only complaint is that it seemed like there was not enough food even though I paid for 60 and only about 30 showed. Now granted this merely could have been due to the fact that her food was so good and my guests ate a lot.
I can't express what a great job Beth did on our reception. Everything was perfect. Food was outstanding and the cake fabulous. Rosa Maes Catering is easy to work with and they go ...
above and beyond. I will definitely use them again when I need a caterer.
If you are looking for a caterer that does it all, Beth at Rosa Mae’s Catering is great. In addition to the food, they were able to provide all our table linens, table settings, an...
d centerpieces from her huge inventory. They are a hard working staff, very efficient, and extremely friendly. At our first meeting, I truly felt that Beth understood our vision and helped create a gorgeous setting and beautiful food presentation. However, our major complaint was the food did not taste as good as we expected and some details were left out. Also, closer to the event we felt a little “nickeled and dimed” when finalizing details. So overall, if food quality is not your top priority but you want a caterer that is hard working and very efficient at the event and can create beautiful settings, Rosa Maes is it.
Everything was rolled into one...the cake, food, china, beverages. They made it so easy and I didn't have to go to other places for different things. Like some places charged extra...
for the china and flatware. Rosa Mae's had a whole package already made up and I got to tweak it here and there so I didn't have to get things that I didn't really want.
The cake was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! She did a great job and had lots of creativity. It tasted great as well!
She was so nice. She also was my caterer so that helped with the ease of things. But, I did win my cake at a bridal show from her. She did not hold back on anything. She let me do ...
whatever I pleased and had no limitations.;Make sure you convey EXACTLY what you want and don't let them make any decisions without first asking you. I thought that Beth knew what I meant when I told her one thing but when I saw the cake, I saw she didn't.
My cake was beautiful and very reasonably priced ($410)!!! I only wanted a simple cake (white cake with white buttercream icing) but Rosa Mae's did it very well and presented it e...
