Rosa y Marigold

Rosa y Marigold is a Peruvian restaurant and wedding venue in Boston, MA's Back Bay, at Lyrik Plaza on Mass Ave between Newbury and Boylston, across from Berklee College of Music. It comes from the team behind Celeste and La Royal, both James Beard semifinalists for Best New Restaurant, and opened in 2026 to a Boston Globe review that said the room feels like a party. That was always the idea. We took our name from a book about two sisters — a gift from our friend, the poet Louise Glück — and built a room around the same idea: that people belong together. Light pours through floor-to-ceiling windows, catches on mirrored ceilings and painted murals, and fills a space made for long tables and long evenings. It's a warm room, not a formal one. Somewhere you'd want to be on the best day of your life. Ceremonies. For weddings of up to sixty, you can marry here. We set the Rosa Dining Room for your ceremony, then send your guests to the Marigold Lounge for cocktails while we quietly turn the room for dinner, and bring everyone back to the table. Your guests move once. The vows, the first toast, and the last dance all happen under one roof. The food. Our menus come from Peru — ceviche of blue cod, causas, anticuchos over the fire, lomo saltado, seco de cordero, short rib in panca, and mole. Our chef is Peruvian and cooks the food he grew up with. Dinner can be served family-style, plated, or as a buffet, with something for every guest at the table, however they eat. The Peruvian way is to put everything in the middle and pass it around, which is really just a way of saying: stay a while. The bar. Pisco sours, a full cocktail list, Peruvian and domestic beer, wines by the glass, and our house chicha morada. Bar packages run the length of your celebration, and we'll happily build a cocktail that's yours alone. Music. We're a music restaurant at heart, across the street from Berklee, with a deep bench of musician friends in this city. A dance floor, full sound and lighting, and introductions to people we love, whenever you'd like, live music or a DJ. What's included. Six hours of the restaurant, ceremony setup and chairs, sound and microphone, the dance floor and lighting, cake service with no cutting fee, printed menus for your tables, a sparkling toast for everyone, and a tasting for the two of you. No setup fees, no cutting fees, no surprises. Our license runs until 1 AM, so your night can go longer here than at most places in the Back Bay. Getting here. A short walk from Back Bay Station and Hynes, with hotels and garages close by. Your vendors come in through our service corridor from the loading dock at 1001 Boylston Street — straight into the room, no stairs, no street. ¡Buen provecho y bienvenidos!
